Worst clinic. I wish I could have given 0. They don’t care about their patients. My son 8 year old was so sick and I requested them to see my son. But receptionist said that doctor is busy with the paperwork so she can’t see the patient. Such a horrible service and they make lame excuses! These doctors don’t care about the patients.go somewhere else rather than wasting time here.

Dr. Khan is an incredible doctor and I have been her patient for the past 15 years and I would recommend her to everyone. She is patient and time to listens to every concern and treats you with respect.

However, Dr. Riaz is incredibly rude and unpleasant to deal with. I would not recommend her to anyone and it is unfortunate that someone like her is working under Dr. Khans supervision in Dr. Khans clinic. She has no patience to let someone finish talking. Doctors should not treat patients in the way she treated my daughter.

No patience and empathy towards her patients to understand both sides of the story before making accusations. Instead of calling my daughter to discuss her results. She accused her of being rude to the staff, because she had to call 4 times why the doctor didn't call her when she had to wait 4 hours for her to call my daughter to discuss the test results instead telling my daughter that she won't treat her anymore.because one of the staff called me instead my daughter, when I told her my daughter phone number is in the file, why are you calling me.

Don't become a doctor if you can't be patient and respectful healthcare provider.once Dr Khan comes back, I will go see her and talk about her, why she has treats my daughter like that.

I came to Canada in 2019, and my wife straight away took me to Dr Khan. She has been amazing as always but not the reception service. Even while writing this review, I had put my call ro Shifa on speaker, and somebody answered the call after 12.22 mins of waiting, and disconnected the call. However, on other side my wife is still on a call with Shifa, but still a music is being played from last 17 mins.
My wife's reports are due, and I am surprised to see such kind of callous behaviour of management. Would like to tell the clicnic authorities that we are here for Dr. Khan only.

I would give a negative 5 if I could based on how understanding the doctors are and the misscommunication is for the front desk staff here. The place over sells by providing extra counciling and weight loss programs etc but that's the only good that comes out of this place. If you actually need a doctor to understand you as a patient and be helpful this is not the place to go. The doctor I actually had the pleasure to speak with today sounded like he hated his job and didn't even listen to try to help me. I thought listening to a patient was part of a doctor's job to find a solution. He became defensive and started telling me he didn't have to help me when I'm the patient trying to get help and also the one in pain needing help which makes me more helpless and vulnerable as a patient. I would think him trying to help me find a solution would be a part of his job and not threatening me if he would actually be of any help to me or not. His name was doctor Roberto, which I would highly recommend if your in pain or have medical issues just not to see this doctor in particular. I'm not sure why any clinic would employ a doctor who doesn't want to do his job or even sounds like he hated his job. Props to him for being a doctor that could be so useless when it comes to helping patients who need doctors and end up talking to a dud like him. Couldn't help me with pain, but was more arrogant than anything. I

Basically don't visit this place if you really need medical attention. Maybe if you need councelling or weight loss help or a good dietician they have excellent people to work with but other than that it's a place to stay away from.

Thanks to Dr. Roberto for being such a helpful doctor on helping me with pain management or even hearing me out in regards to my situation. I hope no patient ever has to endure your arrogance and negligence as a doctor. Your title should be removed.

Please don't respond with false statements as only certain medications need your family physician. I walked into another clinic and was able to get help because the doctor actually was concerned in regards to the infection, offered different approaches of treatment and pain remedies which could have easily been conducted by a knowledgeable and caring doctor by your Clinic if the doctor or staff at Shifa provided such care or even listened. Maybe the issue is the refusal to listen to hear out a patient instead of throwing vague statements just to feel irresponsible of your doctors and staff's behavior. Please conduct how your patients are being treated vs throwing statements in reflection of such negligence by your staff.

Since moving back to Alberta I have found the medical system so incredibly difficult to navigate. Dr. Hoffart has been an incredible provider in the process and I feel very fortunate to have her helping me. I am not even a patient and she is extremely efficient and conscientious with following up on my health concerns. I like the clinic online services as well.

The doctors here a great. I've always felt heard and properly looked after. The front staff are terrible. I spent over an hour and twenty minutes on hold, and it's because the girls at the front didn't want to work. I called back thinking maybe they forgot, I know it can be busy. Nope. That wasn't the case. They just didn't want to do their job. How do I know this? Because when I called back thinking they were just busy, she forgot to put me on hold and I got to hear her gossiping about a boy, how she likes his car, playing squash and the town of Camrose. I am furious. I don't have much time in my day because of work to try and make an appointment never mind get to one. I can't believe the front staff are allowed to behave in such a manner. I had sent a message through the website but then I realized that the front staff are probably the ones who deal with that.

I came in at 1: 30 P. M.as I was told over the phone this would be the best time for walk-ins. I was dealing with extreme discomfort and pain. Despite the pain, I waited three hours and fifteen minutes to get no service. I was aware of the long wait times, but there was no updates whatsoever and I felt ignored. The service was so slow, and they said they were closed at 4: 30 P. M, which I believe was not true because there was other patients in the waiting room. Unless you have an appointment, get ready to spend the whole day in there.

I have been booking appointmnets at this clinic for a couple of years now and they consistently make me wait as I'm a walk-in patient. So do not bother to book an appointment since it won't make a difference. Today I waited 45 minutes in the waiting room, there was only one other person waiting there and then, I waited another 20 minutes in the room. It took the doctor 5 minutes to refill the prescription and give a routine test. Very disrespectful behaviour that it seems to be the norm in this clinic. (The appointment was for my daughter)

I absolutely LOVE this clinic & doctors, BUT very bad phone manners. Rarely can get ahold of them by phone. I’ve been left on hold multiple times for over 30 minutes with no contact from anyone for just wanting to book an appointment.

It would be a lot better if your reception could answer and quote a time for how long the hold will be. I understand everyone gets busy, but a quick 2 second answer of the phone saying the they need 5 -10 minutes or call back would be so appreciated.

Perhaps also consider getting a texting line, it works great!

Please fix this issue Shifa! You guys are perfect in every other way.

I don't know why the clinic is getting such a low rating. Dr. Okihiro has been exceptional. She is only family doctor that actually follow up with me when she has to look up stuff. The only downside is she is only available on Tuesday.

I always have a good experience when I attend this clinic. Dr. Katzell was able to assist me in the best way possible. She listened to my concerns and went over possible treatments. It's not often you feel heard as a patient. I highly recommend this clinic.

Dr Khan has been my GP for roughly 15 years. I followed her from her Kingsway clinic to Shifa years ago.
Today when I called in to make an appointment, which I urgently need, I was told by reception that they can't book an appointment for me. The receptionist didn't ask me any questions or even offer an appointment with a different doctor, I was simply told that Dr Khan's calendar wasn't available and that I couldn't book an appointment.
The reception team at Shifa are disorganized, indifferent, slow and unhelpful.
This alone is enough to make me start looking for a new GP.

I saw the low rating but that is not my experience. I've been seeing Dr. Hoffart here since 2017 and it has been a great experience. Today I called quarter to 9 am, before they had actually opened but Rachel still answered and booked me the earliest appointment she could. They care for their patients here.

Where do I start? Why is it when I explain my symptoms, and situation. Dr. Wade Coutinho seems to brush over everything like im lying or it's insignificant. Instead of treating my symptoms he treats numbers on a paper. Instead I'm supposed to take time off work to do repeat lab tests and drive 35 min to the medicenter and wait for 1 hour in the waiting room for him to tell me everything is normal, your fine. He doesn't care about your time, symptoms, health. Don't waste your time.

Do not consider this a walk in clinic! Went on a Monday afternoon for advice on a sore throat that had persisted several weeks. Waited 2 hours before seeing a doctor, and was supposed to get a call back about test results on the Wednesday. Had to go back as a walk in on the Saturday to get feedback from a doctor because they didn't call me back, and had to wait 4 hours even though I was the second person through the door in the morning. Only reason it isn't 1/5 stars is because the Doctor was very nice. Go with an appointment only, or find a different clinic.

Zero start what they deserve. I do not know why they accept walk ins and then never seen them because it is too late. Do not waste people time.

I got admitted after 3 hours. The next day the doctor called me and said the requestion will be faxed to Dynalife. I called Dynalife and they said they received NOTHING. The next day I called the clinic and the receptionist said we did not fax anything (I was not surprised) and then I asked her to fax it and emphsized that I don't want to drive to dynalife and see no requestion sent.by the end of the call I asked her to send me a copy via email because I lost trust on them. When I went to Dynalife, again no fax was sent to (confirmed my doubts). Luckily, I have the a copy via the email. What incompetent staff!

I visited this clinic as a walk-in today. It was my first visit and I am so highly impressed with the professionalism of the front staff & everybody there. They were extremely helpful & kind. Met Dr. Khan, she is so good in her work, very knowledgeable & friendly. It was definitely worth the 3hrs of wait time to see Dr. Khan for my health concerns. Kudos to your team.

If there were a way to leave zero stars I would. I have been waiting at the clinic as a walk in for the past 4 hours and only just now got into a room to see my own family doctor. Now, the clinic closed at 8pm. If this is a shortage of doctors that’s a shame and no one should have to wait 4 hours to be seen. I do realize they are busy and I have waited significantly longer at the emergency room. This cannot be normal wait times.

0 stars. I was recommended by a friend to see Dr. Pandya. I had super high hopes for my introductory appointment as I have been on the hunt for a new family dr. The entire appointment I felt belittled by the way she spoke to me. First question she asked I began answering (maybe said 4 words) and she interrupted and said "that's not what I asked". Keep in mind this was our VERY first conversation. What a way to start. Although the clinic knew at time of booking that I was there for 2 issues (and even the first nurse who took my blood pressure said "you're here for _ and _? ") the dr.pointed to a sign on the wall when I brought up my second issue that said they only take 1 issue per visit and said it is my responsibility as the patient to read the signs on the walls (there were literally 30 posters on the walls in that room). She said I should have led with the more important issue (which I did first thing, but she interrupted) and when I brought that up she said "she isn't here to argue with patients". Since this appointment I have just felt sad that this is what healthcare has come to. I was holding back tears the entire appointment. She may be a knowledgeable dr.but her bedside manner was terrible.

Very worst service and receptionist were very unprofessional. 13 May I came in a walk-in and receptionist told me you have to wait 3 hours even it was 6o’clock and supposed to close at 8p.m. I asked them how it is possible I have to wait for 3 hour. Then lady was quite and she told me you can come tomorrow I said ok i will come tomorrow in walk in. Today I came in walk in and receptionist told me you have to wait 3 hours. I said that’s ok but when I already waited for 3 hours then she told me you can do phone call by next week. Then, I ask them why you told me to wait for 3 hours and she said we didn’t told you that. I recommend to everyone don’t trust them.

They say they are a walk in clinic but multiple times both my boyfriend and I have tried coming in as a walk in and were turned away. They told us that sometimes they take walk ins sometimes they don’t and that you’re supposed to call beforehand to check. It doesn’t say this on their website and what is the point of a walk In Clinic then? It says their walk in is open until 8 PM. Don’t advertise as a walk in clinic if it’s so difficult to walk in and get seen. They told us to make appointments instead.the whole reason we are walking in is because we can’t wait for an appointment and we need to be seen today. If you are looking for a walk in clinic.go elsewhere. Oh and the front desk asked my boyfriend In front of a full waiting room the reason for his visit. He told her that he has an issue he needs looked at. She asked what issue? He was not comfortable telling her in front of a full waiting room as it is personal. That seems unprofessional to me!

I seen Dr. Wade on a whim yesterday while I’m in between family doctors. First doctor I’ve had in Edmonton be prompt and kind and listen to what I had to say along with asking many questions. It was a routine type of appointment for sure but still his manner in dealing with a patient was outstanding. I regret not asking if he himself was accepting family patients. Would recommend 110%.

This clinic has worst services. They first said u can walk in, They told me to wait for 1 hour, then again told me 45 mint, then again they told me to wait 1 hour more.
This is really frustating.
A person had came in a sickness and u are treating him like that. They told me no appointments, when I asked when i my turn they told me we have appoitments. The receptionist knew nothing. Never ever go to them.

Doctor mis diagnosed issue. Which I forgave. Then ask for refill over phone and denied during covid. Then booked appointment on line take time off work to come I and they say it was canceled and I was emailed. I have no emails showing g that on top of that they have no problem charging g you 50 if you miss an appointment it took all my courage to come forthis appointment to be told it was canceled. Plus I lost time at work. Super horrible booking system and management

I came to Shifa as a walk-in (never been here before) and in quite a bit of pain/discomfort. The receptionist was lovely and was quick to help and get me all set up. My total wait time was less then 10 minutes. The doctor was very prompt and made me feel extremely comfortable. All together I think I was there for probably 20-25 minutes and left with a prescription and feeling a lot better. Great experience and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Called the office and ask if they are accepting new patients. The receptionist said yes they are.they have a female doctor accepting new patients. When I asked to book an appt, she said NO, she needs my full name first and the doctor will decide if she wants to see you. I then asked how can the doctor determine if she is going to see new patients by looking at their first and last name and then call me back if she likes my name? The receptionist said yes the doctor decides, what's your name? The receptionist was very rude, and asked me where am I from. How can a DR decide who she sees based on a name and phone number and where I'm from? This office should be immediately SHUT DOWN. They should not be screening who they see based on first and last names.that is an unprofessional way of profiling, borderline racial profiling, if they are only booking certain names that seem suitable for this female doctor.

Great service here! Quick booking, they booked me in less than a week after I phoned and amazing and friendly staff. They made sure I was comfortable and knew what was happening during my whole procedure. Would definitely recommend them to a friend!

After 2 hours of waiting she is telling me that there are 5 more appointments and she is not sure when will they take me in. Guys if you are not sure, just say no to walk ins just because you want to make money you are wasting people’s time. Limits of unprofessionalism.

Dr Hanna Yu is very unprofessional. She not even know how to do breast exam.
I am going to file a formal complaint against her.

Please don’t go to this clinic, they just do test and ultra sound make money out of you, doctor in this clinic know nothing.

Our family has been seeing Dr Hoffart for about 5 years now. She is an exceptional family dr and consistently goes above and beyond for us. I highly recommend her.

I have read reviews stating the front end staff is rude, this has not been my experience at all. They are always friendly and have frequently helped me with my two young toddlers.

I do find if you have an appointment later in the day, the doctors are behind schedule due to walk-ins. So I book my appointments early in the day and find the wait times are better.

Waiting an hour when you booked an appointment, just for the doctor to come into your room and say “I have another patient to see first” and then leave, is freaking stupid. Terrible service. Would give this 0 stars if I could. Booked appointment for 11: 30, never saw doctor until 12: 30 but the clinic was completely empty. Doctor was not helpful whatsoever, rushed me out, and I was given no prescription for my strep throat. Would never recommend anyone to go to this clinic.

Doctor was rude and condescending even though the patients were following a physician's direction. The doctor's general attitude made the patient feel as if they were a bother and wasting the doctor's time.

Despite having family doctors and dental office, the building is not father friendly as there is no changing tables in the men's washroom. Had to change my newborn on the small sink counter top.

Was seeing Dr Osman then she left. Then was referred to Hoffart. Cant get an appointment at a reasonable time during the day and have to wait for hours for an appointment if I walk in. Have had appointments cancelled just after I book them. Terribly unprofessional. I own my own paramedical practice and Shifa is a gong show.

Extremely frustrated with the walk-in system here. I called around 1: 30pm inquiring about the walk-in schedule and was told Doctor start taking walk-in from 3: 00pm. Arrived at 3: 06pm and was told to expect 2 hours wait time since there’s two patients ahead of me and Doctor also have appointments to take care. I can understand and appreciate the heads up of the wait time but why is the Doctor taking appointments and at the same time walk-in? It is now 5: 30pm been waiting for almost 2 1/2 hours. Not even one of the 2 patients ahead of me been called in.

Dr Uzma Khan is my doctor. Has been since she was in the Kingsway area over a decade ago. From 2016-2018 I took a job 5 hours north, still gladly drove the 5 hours each way to see her. I've cried in her presence dealing with my mom's experiences with cancer and my own health concerns; she is always empathetic and takes real care in her work. Yes, sometimes you wait past your appointment time or a couple hours for walking in, but once you are in, she gives you her full attention. A quality doctor!

The reception staff, it's really hit or miss. Have had a few instances where I was disappointed/upset with their level of service and professionalism. Some people are just not cut out for the medical field, even if they're just reception.

I recently met with a new family doctor at this clinic after a few walk in appointments. The front down staff are friendly and efficient and any doctor I have seen here has been courteous and thorough. I recently brought my small daughter in for a sensitive matter and all of the staff that interacted with her made her feel so comfortable. I highly recommend this place.

Medical staff were unprofessional, treated as if I was interrupting their break time instead of actually assessing my medical concerns. I was initially seen by a nurse that continued to roll her eyes when I was further describing the symptoms I've had for the past week. The staff doctor then came into the room and equally dismissed my concerns as if it wasn't a good enough reason to investigate or treat. Definitely seems like this clinic only cares about money and budget rather than patient care.

The receptionist was very rude.there was three of us waiting in line she asked who have an appointment the girl behind me did so she decided to talk to her first, then just looked at me and said you can come back in two hours. Did not ask my name or anything, i did what anyone would do and said well are you going to write my name at least, she took my name down at the end. But i felt very unwelcome there probably will not go back unless i dont have a choice. I only went there because the sign said wlkins are welcome very deceiving. Went in to see to doctor just to be told oh let waite two weeks and see if your symtomps get worse then we will do something about it. Just please if walkins are not welcome all you need to do is change the sign and everyone will make an appointment

Unfortunately I got Dr. Asifa Riaz for the second time. The worst possible doctor you could ever go to. She honestly does not care and is not knowledgeable. Don't waste your time if you get her just simply ask for another doctor to help.
Once I came in for severe back pain for a year at least. I'm like I think this could be serious its better if I do a scan on my back so all she did of course is suggest massaging it and off you go. THIS time i came in for a lot of stomach pain and migraines on daily basis so of course all she did is tell me to take Tylenol and to stay hydrated as she kept repeating herself when i tell her its been going on for a while now and heading to the door to escort me out after a 2 minute appointment.
