I can honestly say I have never had a better customer service experience anywhere else. Big shout out to Patricia in cosmetics! Extremely professional, overly helpful, and kind. Thank you Patricia for the wonderful service

They sure know how to make their customers feel like thieves. There is one staff member in the cosmetics department that will approach you upon entry and ask if you need help with anything. If you respond “no thank you” she will stand 3 feet away from you and glower at you until you either dare purchase a $40 tube of mascara, or (like me) you give up and head for the $15 tube in the regular isle just to be left alone. I could get better and less judgemental service at the mall for the same price.
Additionally, like others have mentioned, the pharmacy will auto enrol you for their auto refill program for prescriptions then send you text messages you didn’t consent to until you come and pick up the prescription you didn’t request. Disappointed as I have been coming here for a decade.

Just so you guys know if you are low on pharmaceutical supplies you can order them 1 day delivery off amazon instead of refusing a sale because you might need them for someone else later.

This is one of the best pharmacy for any medical consultation or medical services. The staff is highly professional and very helpful. Overall I am very impressed and would highly recommend this place.

Had a pretty rude encounter with the one who gave me flu shot, her name is “Fraida”…I had an appointment at 10: 30 and because I have my son with me at 10: 40 they're not ready so I walked around my son in the store to keep him busy, came back at about 10: 50 didn’t know its my turn so i just sat down and wait, and this girl Fraida, keeps doing her things, when I went in, no greetings vaccine is ready, no showing of the expiration, or what kind of vaccine I will be receiving, i was pulling up my sweater sleeves and shes like “i need that higher, “ I said “I know that is why I am pulling it up” she said just remove one arm from sleeves, she closed the door and did the vaccine, i said thank you and she said “yep”, then left. I was stun! Some health care worker really do not do not know whats the main purpose of their job! Never again in this Pharmacy!

Associate did not let us see fragnances, they blocked off the section with chairs for no reason.

Passport photos- don’t offer a service you can not provide. 3 Shoppers in SW gave noting but excuses for not wanting or able to do these photos. Complete BS.

I like looking at the beauty section, just to browse, because I don’t have much money. Every single time I go to this location at least 2 employees think that I am stealing from them. The employees are passive aggressive and rude.

This is absolutely the WORST pharmacy in the city. The manager of this store doesn't take accountability for the continuous mistakes the pharmacy team makes. The amount of times I've called in to have a perscriptions ready and come in days later to it not being ready is endless all because they forgot.

Or the times they forget to order medications in so you end up waiting weeks instead of only 1 week.

They haven't made any effort to actually improve as a team and find ways to make less mistakes. I've been coming here for 2 years, I've seen absolutely no improvements.

There is multiple pharmacies close by I suggest NOT coming here.

Pharmacist Mr Mukesh Divakar is an excellent clinician, professional and very accommodating. He is also very compassionate and has a good sense of humour. Wonderful man.

Too bad. Your staff watched my Mother with chronic back pain struggle with cases of pop in a wheely basket bc there were no carts available when she was looking. Too busy, done shift but still chatting with coworkers, also wouldn't kill ya to just be pleasant and smile. Poor form, terrible customer appreciation.

Been going to this pharmacy for the last 2 years since moving to the area. Store itself is fine but pharmacy staff are often quite rude for apparently no reason. There have also been several times where I have come back at the time mentioned on the phone or via text message to pick up my prescription and it isn't ready. They will not call you if there is a delay in the time given, instead you end up wasting your time going there to find out it isn't ready when they said it was. Definitely will not be bringing future prescriptions here going forward.

Went to the trouble to fill in all the info needed online at home for a regular flu shot, had a confirmation code, they still gave me a sheet to fill in, told them I already provided all that online. One couple was before me, but a walk in for a covid test was taken in before either of us. So disorganized.

Best Shoppers I have ever been too! All the employees are very helpful and nice. Especially the pharmacy staff. Thank you for all your hard work keeping people safe!

Shoppers advertises to PCOptimum
cardholders by sending an email that there is a deal on butter $2.99. But there is no product stocked on shelves. There isn’t even a spot for the butter to have been on their shelves. And sold out. What really annoys me about Shoppers is their misleading advertising. Off course, the deal ends tomorrow!

I was just in this Shoppers (6: 30pm Dec 6 2021) and just witnessed the most disturbing, egregious and disgusting form of Racial Profiling from the older lady, (blonde) in Beauty.

When my daughter and I went into the store (we are both Caucasian) we went by the Pharmacy and overheard an Indigenous lady approximately late 20's talking with a personal member of the Pharmacy team. She said "well I guess it'll have to do" and put an item in her cart. She carried on doing her shopping like my daughter and I. Didn't think anything of it.

My daughter and I got to the food section, ready to go to the checkouts when I bumped into this lady again. I let her go in front of me as she was ready to purchase her items. As we made our way to the checkouts, I noticed the cashier was in electronics talking to the blonde Beauty Consultant. I overheard the blonde Beauty consultant say" oh nevermind" as she looked into the Indigenous ladies cart and saw the $10 elf palette in her cart. Are you serious right now? ! What about the other 7 Caucasian ladies that are in the store? How about the Caucasian ladies over in Lancome? Why not worry and follow them?

This absolutely sickened me and took everything I had to not say something right then and there. The reason I didn't was because I didn't want to make the Indigenous lady feel uncomfortable, and knew I would make this review as soon as I got home.
With everything that is going on in the world right now, I wouldn't think that I would witness this absurd and uncalled for behavior.

If it wasn't for my prescription being at this location, I would definitely never step foot in this store again. I think I will be moving my prescription to another location. My 22 year old daughter was even disgusted by this Beauty consultants actions. Shame.

This store and pharmacy always gives great service, especially the very professional pharmacist, Mukesh- thanks for all your help.

Takes forever to pick up prescription, 30mins took 1hour, and gave my sister wrong dosage of prescription without letting her know that they change what the doctor prescribed!

Really don’t understand how i’m supposed to get my medication if these people won’t answer their phone.worst customer service i have ever experienced in my life.get a new system, or hire people that will actually answer the phone.the pharmacy and customer service in general is trash.

This is the best shoppers location in the city! The pharmacy team in particular are very knowledgeable and professional! I was there on September 16 - a day after the province imposed significant new Covid restrictions so it was super busy. It was near the end of the day and despite all of the kaos Mukesh was very professional and courteous and helped me out with an antigen test that I needed to travel

We were there at last night 11.50pm (sept 12,2021) the pharmacy was almost about to close. My uncle needed a covid test result urgently as he was flying to New York to see his daughter. Priyanka Sharma (pharmacist) didn't hesitate or said no to the current suitaiton and took extra time after closing as well just to get swab test result done. I did had the best experience with this pharmacy. Thank you priyanka sharma and front staff as well (didn't know the name) for helping us out. You Rock!

Went to this shoppers when I was having an asthma attack and needed an emergency inhaler as I couldn’t find mine. The pharmacy assistant, Bless, was very efficient and caring. However the pharmacist Priyanka seemed like she didn’t care at all and helped another customer who came in after me with his nicotine spray before getting me an inhaler? The assistant had to remind her to help me because I was having so much trouble breathing. Not really acceptable.

Honestly I do not understand the bad reviews. These pharmacist have been nothing but amazing to me. Highly recommended!

Awful. Shop here often, never again. Wouldn’t let my three year old use the bathroom. Said it with the smuggest look on their face. Atrocious and will never be back in my lifetime.

My husband came to Calgary for work and arrived in town late. He is a type 1 diabetic and once he arrived at 10: 15 pm he realized he forgot all his insulin. He couldn't find any pharmacy open and his sister told him about this store. I called and found out they were open until midnight. He headed over and the Pharmacist Pavvathi was a life saver! Literally! She helped him get the insulin he needed and was kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to help. I don't know why more pharmacies are not open later but this saved him having to wait for hours in one of the ER's to get his insulin. Thank you so much!

I have been coming to this location for about 18 months now. Initally it was decent however it seems that virtually everything has declined rapidly recently. I know we are in the middle of a pandemic and I have have a ton of patience and sympathy for that, but it doesn't excuse the new snarly attitude of several staff here. Added to the fact that it seems that every second prescription is either lost or has some sort of problem has made this location virtually unworkable. I am pretty sure that this is an isolated location issue because another pharmacy close by doesn't have the poor customer approach this one now does. Sorry guys but I'm done.

Great experience with the new pharmacy manager. He was extremely helpful and went out his way to explain a new drug and answer all of our questions. The staff are very helpful and pleasant.

I've been coming here for years and in the last year this place has fallen apart. You can't get through to pharmacy, you just get put on a constant loop. Very little stock is updated. Look at all the other reviews on here recently. The owner responds to the odd comment but does nothing about it at all. What a shame.

Pathetic service! What's the point of announcing you are open for 24 hours when you can't even attend to customers during normal working hours? I was on hold for pharmacy twice today for over half an hour each time and no one bother to check the ringing phone? Not even the main reception picked up! Horrible customer service ever! Send your staff for some training asap.seriously annoyed!

Was on hold for like 15 minutes, FINALLY when I got through they heard me mention meds and said ILL TRANSFER YOU TO THE PHARMACY and before I had the chance to say ‘no I’ve been on hold with them for 15 minutes I just have a question’ she transferred me. Annoyed, I waited another 12 minutes and then when I finally got through again the guy was incredibly rude and told me he couldn’t help me and then hung up. I get that the whole covid thing has pharmacy’s stressed out but have some common courtesy jesus.

I love Shopper's Drug Marts, the problem is, their pharmacies.

And Southland is by far the woooooooorst pharmacy I've ever been to. The staff are rude, argumentative and frankly just treat you like you're disturbing them from their job. Take your prescription to a smaller company where they will treat you with respect.

The old lady with Grey short hair was very rude and court.when my wife asked where merchandise was. Others even commented We've been coming there for 15 plus years. Mike.owner.please send this lady to charm school. Shes been snotty for years. Shes a cashier and rude. Needs some kind of people skills. Might try the other shopper.has a post office and nicer staff.

I've been dealing with Shoppers Drug Marts all my life at various locations throughout Calgary in my lifetime. This Braeside location is by far the worst Pharmacy I've ever dealt with in this city, period! Very unorganized staff in the past year I've dealt with them now. Lost count of how many times they haven't had my Levetiracetam in stock, and when stock did come in, they filled it obviously, but didn't bother to let me know or inform myself until I inquired a week later, after I had multiple seizures due to my medication not being filled on time. This has happened a few times now, very disappointed. Maybe the Braeside pharmacy staff could learn a thing or two from the Millrise, Shawnessey, or even the Forest Lawn location for crying out loud. Needless to say, will be looking for a new pharmacy, unless they want to apologize to me in person?

Kellie was extremely helpful and friendly. She took time to find my medication and did not give up when the first attempt failed. I really appreciate your efforts, thanks a lot for your attitude

WARNING - For the third time we were sold rotten food. I am a customer of 15 years. I purchased some ice cream and when we got home and opened it, it was completely freezer burnt, then opened some cheese and it was moldy, and once again a month after this original review, sold rotten food. I called AHS and Shoppers Drug Mart head office. The safety of the patrons of this store NEEDS to come first. Evidence shows this is not the case. Will post the follow up form both AHS and Shoppers Drug Mart. Once is a mistake, twice is frustrating, three times in one month is negligence, plain and simple.

Turned away at the register becuase the employee wanted to go home exactly at midnight.

Im sorry, but if your doors are open and you're a major brand like Shoppers. In the buisness of retail sales. You should be serving the customer regardless.

The staff working at the pharmacy, in particular a woman in her 70s, at this location are extremely unprofessional and insensitive and talked back to me when I requested to check out at the pharmacy. I suggest a refresher on appropriate customer service and not making customers want to cry while checking out.

I have been to many shoppers drug marts- I tend to grab my everyday things here. This shoppers drug mart is the worst one I think I’ve ever been to. While waiting for my mothers prescriptions I watched the store owner Mike talk down to his employees as though they were dirt on the bottom of his shoes. The store itself is filthy and unorganized. The front staff manager, Janet, is awful to deal with. She has no customer service skills whatsoever. Her staff at the front, a boy named Adam is rude. He flicked my receipt at me, rushed the transaction and seemed as though he was stoned. There are a few good employees in the store, Amie and Dalyn, but other than that the store is poorly run. I will be moving my mothers perscriptions down to co-op and not returning.

I have been coming to location for the past two years and with my son as majority of the staff know him, but you do have one employee that shouldn’t be working in customer service. Your cash supervisor Janice has no customer service skills what so ever always rude always seems to be in a bad mood or not wanting to be there.
