I have been a longtime customer for 10 plus years. I tried contacting the pharmacy about the status of my prescription but it’s all automated you can’t get to a person and I could not be helped. Terrible customer-service decision to cut off contact. I’ll be getting my next prescription from a pharmacy with better customer service. They quoted 45 mins and it’s been hours.

This is one of the worst shoppers in the city customer service here is lacking. We came in at 8pm buying drinks and the cleaner was in doing the floors while customers are trying to shop we had to keep moving out of his way we finally reach checkout which had a fair bit of people and he came by again and rather than saying excuse me he just waved his hand at us to move again finally my partner snapped at him and said you can wait! Seriously we are customers and we are paying why don’t people have the common sense to wait? And on top of that our cashier on the night of October 2 was awful just making rude comments about our choice of drinks when all we wanted to do was pay and get out! Won’t be back again! Avoid this place.

Shoppers staff is always great, the pharmacy is going downhill in customer service though, long waits not usually experienced at shoppers and Pharmacy staff could be more compassionate.

This review is for the pharmacy. Every time I drop off a prescription I asked how long, they say 40 minutes. It almost always takes them at least twice that long and usually when I show up and it's not ready they're just standing around talking. Very poor customer service in the pharmacy

I went into the store today Friday April 7 around 9pm to do some shopping. I tried a few foundations at the makeup counter and then shopped for other things. When I was paying for my purchases I hear someone asking me from behind “did you use this? ” It caught me off guard because I didn’t understand why someone would be asking me this. It was the lady at the makeup counter pointing to some sort of pencil. I said no, I only tried the foundations. Then she made a face of disbelief and said “because this is not a tester and shouldn’t be opened”. I felt like she profiled me because one is she asking everyone in the store that passed by the makeup counter if they used this pencil and two because after I told her I didn’t use it she still didn’t believe me. No one deserves to be racially profiled and be treated with such disrespect. In this day and age acts of discrimination such as this one are unacceptable and I hope that Shoppers Drug Mart does a thorough investigation.

Your prescription will never be dispensed before you physically show up. Initiate a refill online? Forget about it. Doctor "faxes" in a prescription days before? Forget about it. You must physically show up and get the "come back in 45 minutes" message before getting your prescription

Shop somewhere that cares about the customer experience. The owner should be ashamed.

Often times there are two cashiers behind the counter, but refuse to help and force people to use the self check out. This is outrageous. The store has become entirely self check.

Staff would rather stand around than help you pay for your order.

Yep, it’s a Shoppers, nothing out of the ordinary going on. The staff at the pharmacy are helpful and friendly.

This is the worst Pharmacy in the city.
You call three days ahead for a refill then show up to be told you must wait 30 min. 30 min passes and you’re now sitting there for over an hour. Everyone I’ve spoken to in the community has this same issue. Pharmacists and pharmacy staff have no customer service experience or common sense when it comes to medication, nor do they seem to care much about the many seniors I’ve seen sitting and waiting for long periods of time.once you ask again about your medication it seems like they have forgotten you’re even waiting. My husband had heart surgery recently and just to get a refill of blood thinner seems like pulling teeth. It’s just sad. When I phoned another pharmacy in the area and told them why I’m transferring, I was told that they couldn’t count the number of times they’ve heard that in regards to this pharmacy.

Good riddance- please go elsewhere

Very close to my living place just across the road. Great location. Clean, well organized store. Good selection. Always have my needed prescriptions in stock and prepare them in an efficient and timely manner. The ladies that work in the cosmetics department are always super helpful and friendly smile on her face always. Not too happy about one cashier checkout but at least they still have a cashier.

Transferred all my proscriptions to another shoppers drug mart. The staff at this store do not seem to care about their customers at all. Very disappointed

My experience has consistently been that customers are invisible to the staff in this store. Today, two staff had a personal conversation just a few feet away from me while I was searching for something. Invisible!
However, the pharmacy has consistently been thoughtful, attentive and quite helpful.

The free drug delivery service is great. Too bad the staff are so incompetent that it rarely works out. I'm getting so tired of calling multiple times for a single delivery that never happens. On top of that, the staff keep trying to charge me for a name-brand drug when there is a generic brand covered by my insurance that I've repeatedly told them to give me. It's reached the point where I only trust one employee to actually do their job - Cory. If I don't talk to him, I have zero trust that what I've asked for will actually happen.

My wife couldn't be given the full prescription for our daughter as this pharmacy didn’t have enough of that particular medication. So, she was told to come the next day for the rest. The next day another person at the counter refused to issue the rest of it? Strange questions were asked: Who was at the counter yesterday? Why the full dose was not given etc? My wife was treated as a thief and liar. Everything that my wife was asked was already in the file or could be easily checked. BTW, why would someone try to get a few extra ml of an antibiotic for children to start with? They phoned us later on with a story to come back in case we wouldn't have enough? So, we'll need to go back there for the 3rd time for a dose or two. Nobody apologized for the way how they treated us, in their mind we were supposed to be happy that they’d give us those few extra ml that were ours to start with? This level of incompetence and rude behaviour is beyond acceptable.

Was a nice store, now it's changed to all self check out. Where's my big savings for doing all the work? Bye bye. I will not set foot in there again. I'll drive to a place that still values service.

I routinely visit this store and have never had anything but outstanding service, including from Manager Chad.
