Could be such an awesome place for drinks and snacks and whatnot, it’s weird that all the candy, ice cream, chocolate, seasonal items are all from the superstore supply chain, and under lob laws yet shoppers has higher, out of touch pricing and the food isles are generally a disaster.

They need to take notes from dollarama

Stephen at the pharmacy was truly AMAZING, very smart and knew exactly what he was doing. I've had trouble with this pharmacy before and was getting really fed up, but Stephen made it so I will going back to him! Truly a asset to the Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy team!

Visited to try to do a return. Alicia was the one who helped me. She took forever from cleaning the windows to come to the cash & once she did she was rude and making sarcastic and condescending comments. Terrible customer service and very off putting. Maybe you should learn some manners before becoming a customer service supervisor.

Prices are way too expensive now averaging $3-4 per item over their competitors. Pharmacy is good but will stop buying my day to items at any Shoppers.

This is the worse Shoppers Drug Mart I’ve ever been to. The pharmacy is a nightmare and the store is a disaster as well.

Don’t use this pharmacy. Not friendly. They don’t care about the customer. My doctor sent in a prescription early morning and it wasn’t ready later that afternoon when I went to pick it up. They didn’t care and weren’t apologetic. Not going back again.

Don’t. I don’t usually write reviews but we have had ongoing issues with this pharmacy since moving here in August. They are disorganized and don’t communicate with each other, so I often get told “oh, I didn’t a call from your doctor” instead of checking if someone else did. Today my oncologist sent in an urgent med to which when I called I got the it wasn’t me game. Then a we’re busy so we might not be able to fill it. Then my husband went down to talk to them and they had received the call, filled the med and gave it to someone else. The long hours are what’s kept us there but we will be changing pharmacies asap. I did want to mention that the owner is really good and helpful, it’s a shame the rest of the staff are not like him.

I went to pick up a pre paid card for my grandson this morning and was taken aback by the service I received. The cashier seemed to be inconvienced by my purchase and very abruptly told me that I could only pay with cash or debit for this purchase. No concerns with that, most reatailers have their policies and procedures, but it was the way the cashier (who had a name tag indicating she was the assisstant store manager) stated this to me in a very degrading tone as if she was scolding a child.
She grunted and exhaled loudly as she picked out the card I had requested and then after I paid for the card (not before, but after I paid for the card) she said "All sales are final" with again the tone of scolding a child.
This assisstant manager cashier that I interacted with was outright rude and dismissive and seems to hate her job.
I have been a patron of Shoppers drug mart since I was young and have been supporting this location for many, many years.
The stores service and staff has changed and not for the better.
I will be finding another source for my prescriptions even if i have to travel from my home area to do so.
Very dissapointed.

Been using this shoppers for over 10 years. Came in tonight an hour before close and they had people power washing the floors. Was no problem until the floor guys start closing off entire sections of the store. I stepped into an area they just clean that wasn't closed off by make shift painters tape stuck across isles, and the floor guy angrily told me I can't go into that section. So I looked to the employees, hoping they would say something, to my astonishment they just blatantly ignored it. I'm here to buy something during open hours yet I'm being told I can't walk to sections of the store to get the things I need during open hours. I hate to be a Karen about this, but it's poor management to have contract workers clean floors during open hours and not let customers step on it. If anything just close the store early for that.

I came here after watching Morbius for the 47th time, I desperately needed some staying awake pills so I could watch More-bius, I then asked cashier person for some staying awake pills and they gave me some, they also gave me 7 tickets to Morbius so I could keep watching it. Thank you Shoppers Drug Mart, very cool!

I had been getting my prescriptions from them for the past 16 years. Today went with a prescription and urgently wanted only 1 tablet to help relieve the pain. The pharmacy assistant by the name "COURTENY" was not only rude but refused straight away to give me one tablet in spite of the urgency. I told her to return my prescription and she threw the page towards me. We have moved all the prescriptions to Safeway Crowfoot now since Shoppers does not want loyal customers and the employees have bad attitude and no courtesy at all.

Staff are rude and unhelpful. I went in to purchase an item and found it on sale. When I took it to the counter, it rang up at higher price. I told the cashier it was on sale and he asked me to get the placard. He then proceeded to tell me that the item was no longer on sale, small print date of yesterday at the bottom of the placard, and there was nothing he could do. I asked to speak to the manager but he refused. Another cashier can by and said new management no longer honours the price if left up after the sale. I asked to speak to the manager again and was refused. I will no longer shop there.

Not impressed at all with the service here or market mall location. Neither place knows how to answer calls. Super frustrating. Yesterday I stayed on hold for over 40 mins waiting for someone to attend my call and no answer, call just dropped because they have a wait time limit. This is ridiculous especially because I need crucial medication. Honestly probably switching pharmacies after this experience. Super disappointed because I moved and had to switch pharmacies and this never ever happened at the country hills location.

Worst pharmacy. Called asked specifically for an item twice I was assured they have it. Showed up waited in line for 30 minutes for them to help 1 person and then they try to give me the older version item to not have the one I have asked twice if they have it

I called and asked for a specific product over the phone and walked 5km to get here. Said they had it. They didn't have it. Waste of 2 hours.

Ashley is a kind of employee that worth to keep. She is knowledgeable and she provides a good customer service. She is so friendly and she knows exactly what she’s doing unlike the Supervisor Gavin and Manager in Crowfoot Shoppers. They don’t even know how to do a refund and checked the balance of the points.

Spring Hill Village- Silver Springs, Calgary I am not sure if it's the store itself or the SDM website that screwed up- BUT, this needs to be shared.we registered online SDM on April 12/21 [no appt date yet] for Covid Vax, waiting for our message to book an appointment [for a highly health compromised patient-2 major health issues]. Called 2 weeks later to check if things are moving along, how long- was told to just wait, that doses have been shorted. Called again today [over 3 weeks! ] to be told that the system 'lost' all the patient information [over 900 patients] and that the registration system is now "KAPUT", she asked didn't we get a text message about this? We did not. This is unacceptable, and likely should be reported. If you have registered with SDM, please go elsewhere! After waiting all this time, we registered withy AHS and were given an appointment date right away, we should have started there instead of placing our trust in their system. Terrible customer service doesn't even come close to describing this. The way it was handled and 'blown off' by the store is atrocious. It may have been an error on the website end, but the store really should have offered to escalate her appointment, they did not. A huge disappointment. Zero stars*

Unfortunately had to give 1 star as no star rating or negative is not an option. Had surgery today, dropped off a prescription for 3 meds. Got meds delivered with 1 drug missing. On calling the pharmacy about the error, they said that it was not in prescription. After me being firm about that, they said it was an error from their end so I requested to get it delivered. She mentioned bluntly that it was not fair to the employee to get it delivered after working an 8 hour shift. I really wonder how it is fair to a customer who had surgery and need pain meds! This is not first time this happened, many such incidents in past too. But now this is last time. NOT RECOMMENDED PHARMACY at all especially if you are in dire need. Irresponsible response and unreliable service. Highly disappointed.

The service at the pharmacy was the poorest, lack of assistance and knowledge. I wanted to dispose of hospital grade medication; I was told they can’t accept it & suggest I go to the hospital. En-route to the hospital, I’m told the hospital will not allow anyone in unless you’re staff, a patient or family member of a patient. I eventually called REXALL at Tuscany and they had no problems disposing my drugs. My father just died from cancer and the additional stress with having to drive all over the city having to locate a proper disposal area was not appreciated. The pharmacist at Shoppers should not have sent me to the hospital, if there’s a drug they could not dispose of - do YOUR homework. I am NEVER shopping at Shoppers Drug Mart Silver Spring and/or Crowfoot! My dollar may not add up to much nor are they a small business that needs our support, but they’re not getting another penny from me.

Terrible customer service experience. Went in to pay at the cosmetic counter and there were two women doing some sort of training who were way more involved in that then paying attention to their customer. I tried to use my points and it didn’t work. They brushed me off and told me to fix it on the app. Did not try to assist me at all. Made me not want to shop here again.

Beauty counter person obviously does not like her job. Very curt and didn't want me there. Will not shop at this cosmetic dept again.

If I won a million dollars tomorrow, I would bet it all on this pharmacy being late to fill prescriptions.

All jokes aside, don’t listen to the time they tell you on the phone, don’t listen to the time they tell you to your face, it won’t be ready by then.

Safe bet is to show up 3 hours to a day after the time they tell you it will be ready, then there’s a 50/50 chance it might be done. 2 stars only because they’re nice!

EDIT 2/15/21: The service has continued to go downhill with pharmacy employees here now showing total lack of care and outright unprofessionalism. My family will be taking our prescriptions elsewhere.

My COVID testing experience was great but I’m now almost 4 days with no results. Apparently, test kits are not sent in until the next day and the pharmacist told me the 48-72 hour time goal starts after they send the test kit in and excludes weekends. Not acceptable. I strongly recommend you don’t use this place for COVID tests but the staff are very nice.

Silver Springs Shoppers Drug Mart is the place to go when you need a prescription filled or advice! I have been a patron of Shoppers Drug Mart for many years and have always found their expertise in advising me on anything i ask for.pure perfection! I have needed advice from the pharmacy and they have always been happy to help me out. Every time i walk in.and have a question.the cashiers, or pharmacy always has the correct answer for me. The staff always smiles and is very friendly and I am so grateful to their helpful advice. When i am looking for a product.i always find a smiling employee that is willing to help me. Even the people that stock the shelves have helpful advice for me.when i need to locate a product, or if the product is not available, they will go and check out what is in the backroom for me. I am so impressed with the service and knowledge. I am so impressed with everyone, i am greeted with a smile when i come to the cashier, the pleasant manner in which everyone operates in the store.this store is a favorite for me! I find it well stocked with needed items and if i need help.someone is always willing to help me find what i need. Thankyou so much for being so awesome!

The pharmacy manager at this pharmacy is extremely rude. My prescription today was not dated so he refused to fill it. I ended up getting a new prescription right away and got it filled at Co-op Crowfoot instead. The pharmacy missed out on $94 of business. Will never use this pharmacy again.

Just visited the beauty department in this visit and only really interacted with Loreena in the beauty section. She was super friendly and really knowledgeable about everything. She was so patient and helped me find everything I was looking for. Definitely will be coming back to this specific location when shopping beauty or skincare.

Friendly and understanding staff, both regular and pharmacy. Has some great rotating sales. Although, it's hit and miss on availability for those items.

I've also never had to wait outside because of COVID-19.

It was a very bad experience as I went today for my medicine in the pharmacy section, the pharmacy guy named tameer was very rude to me. I asked him that how long i have to wait for medicine but his behavior is very rude and disrespectful

Very disorganized. Lost my prescription. Every time I go there the line is very long and the staff behind the counter are running around like they do not know what is going on. When I tried to complain, nobody would listen and the cashier rolled her eyes at me. I will no longer go to this Shoppers Drug Mart because of the pharmacy.

It's an easy in and out, even if picking up or dropping off a prescription. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Doesnt have much electronics and non that was in the ad. But all in all its a delight shopping at any shoppers

Pharmacy experience.

My prescription sat there for 7 days until I could pick it up. When I picked it up the multiple med bottles were in an unstapled bag all wrinkled like it’s been handled many times. The person who helped me was a total slob and his tag said he was the pharmacy manager. First he gets the wrong prescription for someone else, after seeing my insurance card he realised his mistake.

If the manager has a lazy appearance and attitude then it makes sense why my meds were loose in a bag sitting in a basket for 7 days.

This rating is for the pharmacy.
Honestly if there was something below one star I would have gave it to them. My wife got a sever asthma and we needed a medication. We stopped by shoppers and it took the first lady few min to setup the account and eventually she wasn’t able to charge the insurance company. She actually said that I don’t know how to do it! I said, at some point you need to learn how to do it, please call the insurance company. She called them and then she said there is a problem in our account and that my wife is not added even though I showed her the confirmation email. We decided to pay full amount because my wife was coughing the whole time. Then she said come after one hour to collect. My wife wasn’t feeling well the whole time. We came after one hour to collect and guess what, the medication is picked in a box by the manufacturer. I am trying to say her is that, they just grabbed it from the shelf and put it in a paper bag that is all. When I saw that i got very upset, i told the staff, you made us wait for one hour just so you don’t grab the box from the shelf? She said there were people before you. I said understand that and I also understand that sometimes you have to mix the medication here but for our case, you literally could have grabbed it off of the shelf and gave it to us, she said we were busy. Then the manager came and said you can go somewhere else if you don’t like the service here. I said I am definitely gonna go somewhere else next time. You guys are lazy and this is really embarrassing that three adults saying we are too busy to grab a small box off the shelf when someone is suffering right infront of them. Then we left.
I feel disrespected. I really hope no one go through this with those cold blooded people. It is very hard to accept that a profession like this became so inhuman. And it is very sad to feel that your medical services provider doesn’t care about your health. I am trying to imagine what would happen to someone with more critical health condition going to get medication from this pharmacy.
I highly don’t recommend this pharmacy unless their staff is changed.

Just bought a pack of freezer bags, they provided me an excellent customer service. Great staff

Just cashed out at 10.35 p.m. - cashier busy talking with co worker during our whole checkout process- he did not greet us, ask for points card, or notice i scanned my card when he was busy chatting, if we needed bags, was going to redeem points! Rudest checkout ever, when i took a moment to tell them about their service, i was still interrupting their deep conversation

Terrible customer service. Ordered some photos and a photo mug for Father's Day that I came to pick up from this location. I was treated very rudely by not one, not two, but THREE employees who dismissed me like I was a pest. It's disgusting that "customer service" staff can get away with treating customers like this!
