Good for the most part but the pharmacy needs to be better organized.wait times often end up being longer than expected.they tell me it’ll be ready in 30 mins so i come back in 30 mins, only for them to tell me it’s not ready, but they can start getting it ready now.i tell them that’s fine, i’ll sit on the chairs they have out and wait.every time, without fail, they will never call me up to tell me the prescription is ready.only when i get tired of waiting so long and go to the counter to inquire about the progress, i find out that it’s been
ready for a while, but no one thought to tell me.

Worst professionals working here. Pharmacy staff is worst of worst. My dad asked them an question and in return he got laughing and gossiping. We did not expect that from a pharmacy staff. Don't shop for your medicines here, or ask questions regarding health. They make fun of it. Disgusting.

Had to give a one-star review since i can't just do no stars. I've been going to this drugstore for the past 13 years. Most of the cashiers know me and the pharmacy knows me, all by name and me vice versa. Today I came to pick up my mother-in-law's medications. And I know that a couple of my favorite cashiers at work here and other employees, are on vacation. So there's a couple of new faces, or ones that usually work early morning. After I picked up my mother-in-law's medication I decided to walk down my favorite aisle to see what was on sale. And I saw that the garden figurines that I have been eyeing up are finally on sale. I turn around to look some more and the security guard is 2 ft from me. Staring at me. Okay. Not creepy at all. So I continue to do what I was there to do, I was trying to decide which figurines I wanted to buy. Afterwards I went to have a look through the grocery aisle. He continued to follow me. So I decided I was done there and went to pay. He literally stood right behind me and watched while I paid. I told him it wasn't necessary for him to stare so hard. I'm literally paying. And I'm in a crop top and shorts. So there's no way I can steal anything and hide it on my person. Plus, there were other customers in the store. Four that had walked by him a few times. I had to double check a price, so I went to look, and came back to pay. I could feel him staring so I whipped out my camera on selfie and sure enough, there he was, watching me and staring hard. In all my 13 years of going here, this is the first time I've ever felt violated, uncomfortable d unsafe. Did I mention that I'm first Nations? Is this not racial profiling? Come on now! Do better.

The sales associate Jayleen was so helpful and kind. She went above and beyond and helped me navigate the points system and explained how it worked. So thankful and will be coming back more often!

Ken Langevin the owner of this pharmacy has about 0 clue how to run a store. This is the second time I've brought in a prescription refill that was in the middle of refill cycle. And for the second time they took the prescription and said they'd add to my refills available. But, they didn't add the refills and now I have to go back to the doctor and get yet another prescription. The Pharmacists there also refused to fill a prescription my doctor gave us, claiming they knew better. This is a terrible pharmacy. If you have other options, I suggest not using this store.

My boyfriend and I stopped in during our lunch break and we were looking for a particular medicine for sinuses and asked the pharmacist all they told us was isle 5 didn't even consider to help us locate it as we already looked in that isle and other isles. Zero customer service.

ONCE AGAIN JUST ANOTHER REASON NOT TO SHOP HERE! I went in to buy some Vapor bath bubbles for my daughter, they were on the shelf and had 6 of them there, they were priced at $4.29 per container. When I got to the till they rang up as $10.99 I said to the clerk I’m sorry the tag said $4.29 he had another lady go with me and I showed her where exactly I got them, and she said well that’s not where they go, they go up here for $10.99 I said well that’s not where I got them from so you need to adjust the price, to what the tag says they were it’s not my fault your staff can not stock properly or decided to put them there because that spot was empty and no store wants empty spots on the shelf. Just very very poor customer service again

The pharmacy here is so so bad I’ve had enough and will be laying a formal complaint against the pharmacist on duty tonight with ABP. He told me to wait 20-30 minutes for my prescription. God knows why cause no one else was before me but nonetheless, after waiting 40 minutes another customer was getting upset that they had lost his prescription which he sent in at 1pm, that was 4.5 hours ago he was sick and really upset that they had lost his prescription. This arrogant pharmacist comes over and tells ME I can go somewhere else he’s too frustrated! What on earth? I am still so mad but this is not my first unpleasant encounter at this pharmacy the owner has heard from me before about he’s rude staff. I will go somewhere else from now on, clearly they don’t need much business

I’m so disappointed at the service i received from kerin at the beauty boutique section. I have been living in ellerslie for 8 years & its the only shoppers that myself and family shop from at least 3 times a week. We get all our beauty care as well as everyday day essentials from this location. Unfortunately i will no longer shop there. Kerin called security on me because she stated i was “mean” just because i asked why she cant wrap the perfume i was going to buy that is worth $263.00 for me. She said they stopped wrapping since covid - which is not true since i always shop there & never did an employee refuse to wrap my gift for me. The night before today i had waited at the register for a few minutes when Kerin came and didnt help me or my mom. I asked if anyone was working at the till so i could get help, she then rolled her eyes and said i will. Then refused to help me with choosing what day is best to purchase to use my points, she stated “ look at your app”
So unprofessional, so rude, so disrespectful. I am so disappointed she has this position with the attitude she has. I wish the other girls were working there to help me. I posted a picture of my purchase from the 111 st shoppers that went to after my bad experience And received the best experience with them as well as they wrapped my perfume without even knowing the first situation i went through as well as gave me a gift bag. That is the typical Shoppers experience i would normally have if Kerin didn’t choose to be rude to valuable customers.

The girl working at perfume’s cosmetics area on 8 January, evening is very rude and unprofessional. She don’t even know how to talk to customers. She mentioned her name shweta. We called her for perfume and she said it’s available in store and drop the call, she didn’t even listen my full conversation. When I reached at store for same product she talked very rudely and replied that it is not available in store. When i asked her to check other stores she denied to help and go away.

So much snooty attitude from the employees here. 1. Pharmacist was rude about showing me to some vitamins I was looking for. Said thanks to her despite her being short with me and she just walks away. 2. I had asked the cashier for specific change back (some fives) and she went off under her breath about how "she only has so many and will now be short, but okay". Just say no, if you don't have enough fives, not start muttering things under your breath.

Going in person for prescriptions, I've never had an issue. The pharmacists meet the deadlines and explain the prescriptions well.
Trying to call, even during lower traffic times, leads to me waiting on the phone and no one picking up.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AT POSTAL CANADA. That guy is probably blind or racist. We were in line before a girl. He said he’s gonna help her first and we need to wait. Like literally boy we are not that free to put people first and waste our time. SO STUPID Of HIM! Happened Thursday 12pm. You guys don’t deserve this one star even.

This pharmacy is the worst I have ever dealt with. Prescriptions are never ready when they are supposed to be and pharmacists are rude and unwilling to problem solve. They mixed up my two daughters names and prescriptions. Save yourself the headache and take your prescriptions to be filled elsewhere.

Worse customer service, medication never ready on time even you go one week after submitting prescription. Pharmacist does not know how to handle prescriptions and don’t know if she really understand instructions. Highly suggest avoid this pharmacy unless you totally stuck with them. Worse worse worse place to go for medication.

Pharmacy was great so no complaints there but today the woman at customer service "Zeenat" I believe was less then helpful. I was there carrying a sick 8 month old in a carseat and going up the baby and sick isle in order to find vitamin D drops while waiting for my prescription. I asked zeenat if she could please find me the Vitamin D since no one was behind me in line and carrying the carseat through the isles was heavy and I was unable to find the product. She told me she would not leave the desk and that I'd have to ask someone else like in pharmacy. The store was dead! It would have literally taken her 2 seconds to help me, a customer out in this dead store at 2pm. To say the least she shouldn't be working in customer service.

I normally shop at a different shoppers but their system was down so I was told that I could call another pharmacy and they could look it up on net-care so I called this one and they refused to fill a prescription that I needed cause I didn’t have the physical prescription on hand. Than I was rudely told by the pharmacist that do not tell him what to do. When all I was doing was letting him know what my normal pharmacist told me they would do so I could get my prescription just once this other location since mine was down.

Very poor customer service at Postal Canada. The guy working there has no sense, he don’t know how to treat customers. I went their with my sister to send a courier. He didn’t attend us and said he’s going to attend the lady behind us. This kind of person should be kick out of work, who don’t know how to treat customers. Please teach him some work values.

Pharmacist OSAMA M, VERY VERY DISGUSTING RUDE behaviour after making mistake 2 times. He would not apologize and kept on being rude. First filled 2 rx for same drug to get more dispensing fee. I returned drug and got them to change to fill under 1 rx dispensing fee. Then they made mistake in refunding me the amount. I called and complained him. No apology for refund error, no solution offer. Made me go there 3 times for 1 simple prescription fill. How do these big chains afford such a rude and intolerant PHARMACISTS? Never go there…

I WAS a regular customer and they USED to be very friendly, until I had a minor discrepancy with a product and took it back to the store to clarify said discrepancy. I made a formal complaint and they did not get back to me. Perhaps I will go to another location after all. Maybe a different store all together. I guess they don't care for their customers that much after all.

The girl I talked to on the phone said she would do a straight exchange, so I went there with the product and she did a refund and told me to buy a new one. So I went there three times today and never got the exchange. Just a refund and now have to wait ten business days for my refund money. But I will never go to this location ever again.

Honestly the service has been awful. I wouldn’t usually write such a negative review but this week has caused me such a headache. I went in person a week before my prescription ran out to ask them to file for a refill, and had to go back 3 times total because the fax number was incorrect. They kept telling me I had to keep waiting. If I had, I would be out of my meds. I have had a headache most times trying to refill my prescription, and using the app with this pharmacy has been just as bad. I will be changing pharmacies after being with them for 2 years. Not to mention, their phone lines literally do not work. You need to press a number to speak with a representative, but doing so causes the call to fail. I brought this up to the pharmacists and was told this is because phone lines are busy.but busy phone lines would leave me on hold, not fail and hang up itself. This means I have to go in person each time I want anything done with my prescription.

Worst Customer Service!
I am originally from Toronto and went to visit my friend in Edmonton and thought of gifting him something so I went to shoppers beauty boutique to buy new perfume sampler and store was about to close so the lady (she was nice and polite) told me to come next day as register was about to close.
Next day i reached shoppers at 8am as soon as it opened and there was a lady named SAMI (very rude, blunt, mannerless and zero customer service) so as soon as i asked for sampler she simply told that i cannot sell you the new sampler until the old samplers are not sold.
Honestly i didn't do anything to give her room to be rude and arrogant towards me.
I don't understand what she was trying to do and prove.
Then i asked one of the employee that i can speak to manager so that employee paged Assistant Manager named KIRK.
He came and talked to Sami and even Kirk told her that even doesn't see any logic in not selling the sampler but at-last they both whispered and even Kirk told that they cannot sell fthe sampler until the old ones are not sold.
Really disappointed and sad but next time i'd prefer HBC for perfumes.

Horrible experience at this pharmacy consistently. Recently I had a prescription run out. I had my doctor fax a new one to the pharmacy and called there the next day. They said sure the order could be picked up. When I arrived to pick it up they said, sorry but we actually didn’t get the fax from your doctor so we don’t have the prescription ready. They asked me to call my doctors office to confirm it was faxed. I confirmed with them it had been faxed and the receptionist even read off the fax number they sent it to before I even asked. I get that people make mistakes but CALL ME BACK and let me know so I don’t have to waste my own time driving to get something that’s not there.

Since I was in need the pharmacist offered to fill it for me. She asked me extremely personal questions about why I needed the prescription out in the open. Then, because I was purchasing such a small quantity, my insurance barely covered it.

Now, trying to fill the prescription again, and it won’t allow me to do it through their automated system. Trying to get through to someone on the phone line takes ages. Not to mention the menu options that lead nowhere. I’m switching pharmacies ASAP.

Covid Vaccine appointment Scam alert!
I wish there was a way to give them -ve stars. These Guys are running a scam! 3 different individuals and their families including myself booked for a Covid vaccine appointments on 3 different dates with them. We all booked 2-3 weeks in advance, got our confirmations on the day they were booked and the day prior to the actual appointment date. However, when we showed up for our appointments our names magically disappeared! It appears appointments are being scheduled to gain access to vaccines but being redistributed to friends and families! Another pharmacy I booked at instead indicated that appointments are being scheduled based on on hand inventories so not having enough for confirmed appointments is out of the question. Shame on you folks- shoppers as a chain has gone downhill but you guys went down even faster
So use alternate pharmacies if possible and stay away from these scammers

On May 5th, I called in to book an appointment for dad and I and had successfully booked it too at 5: 40 pm on may 20th but since I hadn't received a confirmation email; I called in to confirm I have the time right for our appointment but unfortunately when i called in i was put on hold for 10 minutes and was told that my appointment was at 7: 50 but then when I asked about my dad, they put me on hold for over half an hour and told me that both my dad and I were not booked at all. I'm very disappointed with the service I received from shoppers drug mart pharmacy.

Negative STAR

On hold for more than half hour!

Again May 07 2021, on hold for more than half hour. Finally got thru.then put me on hold for 10 minutes then transferred me out of pharmacy. I was transffered back to pharmacy then line was cut.overall very bad experience with this shoppers.i never had problem with other shoppers or other pharmacy.will be going to different pharmacy from now on.

Got my Covid-19 vaccine here. Qualified as a healthcare worker with direct patient care. Beyond ecstatic to be half way done to being fully vaccinated. I cannot wait for my next shot! Easy booking process when I called in, they had lots of appointments and were flexible for all of my coworkers to come in. I feel great after my shot.sore arm went away after 1.5 days.

I wish I can give negative rating to this shopper drug mart, I went their on Friday to drop package at Canada post outlet, there was 2 clerks working, they took more than 20 min to serve only 2 people before me. When they scanned my package, they confirmed that my package would pick at 4: 30pm by Canada post mailman, (there was postal clerk jagdeep, he was super slow).
Next day when I checked my tracking number, I found package was still at post office, they did not hand over my package to mailman. When I called store Manager DAVID to complaint about poor management and customer service, he immediately raised his voice and started argument with me instead of taking ownership.it Seems like owner of this shopper drug mart is not paying proper attention toward his employ behavior.
Anyway, I have Complained to head office, I am also going to complaint about the situation to Canada post.

My favourite Shoppers in all of Edmonton. I love how they are open late and they are local. I also love how they have a great selection of grocery items to books and beauty products. 10 out of 10 my favourite Shoppers Drug Mart in all of Edmonton!

Shoppers drug mart expensive compared to Walmarts and Super store. Top of that they need to improve their customer service.
