Shoppers Drug Mart

Staff was very much rude. The customer service was poor and intolerant. I literally face inconvenience due to their bad services.

I've been going to this Shoppers Drug Mart location for years. Since they moved locations across the street to Century Park, things have changed, and not for the better. My elderly mom attended their cosmetics department and she was ignored after asking for advice - evidently, the chit-chat amongst the cosmeticians was more important than serving a customer, particularly a senior citizen. Further, I was advised by a store clerk that I could not pay for an item and lottery at the regular check-out counter (seriously? !), and MUST use the self-checkout station, which other customers were obviously having issues with. Very disappointed. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

The pharmacy for this location used to be fantastic so I moved my prescriptions here when I moved back to the Southside. Unfortunately the customer service is now horrible. I requested a refill of several medications online and selected the time for pickup the next day that was offered (12-4). I still hadn't heard from them after 4 so I called and was told they didn't do it because they don't process refill requests from the day before past a certain time even though it's offered online. No attempt was made to communicate this. My previous refill they were out of my medication and would not be getting any in until the following week. Again no one contacted me to advise and I am not able to go that long without this medication. I also had a very strong opiod painkiller I was prescribed and they did not inform me that they were out of my regular dose so they issued pills that were twice that dose and needed to be split. As both pills look the same I mistakingly took a much larger dose which is very unsafe for this medication. When I called to inquire about this the employee I spoke with was very rude and just kept repeating that that was my prescription to issue it like that when it was only because they were out. I've used Shoppers pharmacy at various locations for years and they used to have excellent customer service and would always inform you and review any changes they made to your medication at pickup. Far to much disorganization, lack of customer service and no due diligence when handling important medications so unfortunately I'll be switching to a non Shoppers pharmacy.

I’ve been going to this pharmacy for nearly 35 years. The last few experiences have been terrible. I was told when I called the pharmacy that I could get my vaccine 2 weeks early so I’d be covered for Christmas. When I actually came in they told me no, not possible. Two other times I have dropped off prescriptions and was told to come back in an hour. When I came back the first time I had to wait an additional 25 min. The second time I waited an extra hour and 15 min. It was late in the evening and they weren’t even busy, maybe 4 customers came to the desk in that time. I had to stand up and remind them several times that I was even there. After I got home I checked my email and I had an email saying my prescription was ready, which was sent 15 min before I had actually been given the prescription at the pharmacy. They told me to sit in the waiting area and they’d call me when it was ready but they never did, and when I finally was ready to give up and leave it was sitting there waiting for me. To top this off, the prescription was an eye drop bottle that didn’t even need pills counted or put into a bottle or anything. They literally had it just sitting on the shelf and had to put a label on it. I never write complaints, but I have wasted time and energy several times now. I’ve only been to the new location 4 times and three have had the worst customer service I’ve seen in a long time. Seriously thinking about switching pharmacies.

From my experience, as I grab an item, my purpose there is to buy it. So I go to the cash register. For what reason is the cashier not found at the cash register at all times? Why are you making them putting stuff on shelves? Do you not want the customers to be serviced?

Another question, how do you expect them to do 2 jobs at the exact same time? They can do either or.

Your cashiers have a job at the cash registry. Let them stay there to service people in need.

Hire somebody to put stuff on shelves. If you don't then you would have cashiers wondering away from the registry while clients want to go home. Clients won't enjoy their visit.

Your prices aren't the best to be honest, you might as well at least service them well.

However the staff are friendly and helpful, they will listen and try to help as much as they can.

Really great pharmacy, very professional. Lisa was helpful with getting me the prescription I needed.

I am about 10 seconds from calling my lawyer after my experience tonight. A black manager followed me and creeped me out in the store, an east Indian security guard also harassed me, and a very over weight female supervisor. I was wearing yoga pants, a see through plaid shirt with a sports bras. With my large skull purse. I was not shopping suspiciously. Nor do I steal. In fact I used to work for impact back in the day. Will not be returning to this location. Normally I walk around looking for coupons but I was harassed so badly. They kept getting in my face every time I got to the end of an aile. The black guy refused to answer me what the issue was. All my merchandise was paid for at self check out. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Absolutely excellent customer service here! I have to say well done to management, front staff, and especially the lovely people in the pharmacy who are so helpful and considerate! I was confused on protocol to get a new prescription refill after my doctor moved and within a couple days I was alerted it was all completed! Such a load off the mind! And PC optimum points are insane! Happy to call this my local shop

Always a good option for us. You find many different things in one place. They have super offers, good prices in particular days that realy worth it. Just to monitoting it. The point are the super good and work very well. We use them all the time

Hats off to Lisa who was running the Pharmacy all by herself last night at Shoppers Century Park. She successfully got the Website Refills done and texted customer confirmations. The rest of the store was in the hands of three young people I've not seen before- kids, basically. Where have the experienced staff gone? Did they leave because Generous Pharmacy was not being generous in giving them a well-deserved raise in the new larger store? I'm very disappointed to see new staff every visit now. And I refuse to answer aloud to temporary pharmacy staff asking me my Birthdate. Its a Personal Privacy issue! When my wife and I call the Pharmacy we want to talk to someone who knows us and that we trust. I fear that customers will be seeing an ever changing turnover of inexperienced staff here in 2023. If that happens we'll take our prescriptions and shopping elsewhere.

Excellent service provide by owner Nicolas and staff on 1/9/2023 for walk-in rapid antigen test for my travel requirement to Hong Kong. This is only 9 hours left before boarding from Edmonton to Vancouver.
