Shoppers Drug Mart

Decent store with your typical products and pricing but yesterday was my last visit to this store. My reasoning was that nobody would help us at a till and was told we had to use self checkout. This also happened at a previous visit. First off if your going to do that, I want a discount as that makes me do something a employee does and just in general the fact someone could be employed to do this. I just don't support business that takes away jobs. Or perhaps let me know when employees are on shift at checkout otherwise I don't want to give you my business.

I always go to this shoppers, have been since I was small, and the staff has always been friendly enough. About two days ago I came by to get some cologne as a gift for my brother, and I cannot say enough how helpful and wonderful the woman in the beauty section was. She was super charming, knew her stuff, and was so so fun to talk to! I didn't get her name, but she had a hat and glasses, and very cool tats on her arm. Amazing customer service, knowledgeable, and had some great recommendations. My brother loved what I got for him as well thanks to her, kudos! <3

I was at a Shoppers in the westside and was going for over 20 years, come to this location and the work service I’ve received at a pharmacy. Pharmacist won’t release meds despite confirming he would on the phone in front of us both. Shame… may need to leave Shoppers, time will tell.

I was refused service unless I used the self checkout. When I asked why. I got just because for an answer.

Can’t believed how the PA here don’t have patient centred care and giving some attitude!

Just awful. So much so that I'm not even going to start to get into specifics good luck if you go there though. If you're looking for a stressful shopping situation that's like the Disneyland of stress. Lol. Wow I'm still trying to get my brain cells back after that experience

The pharmacy has become rather disappointing. Asked a pharmacist if a medicinal product was in stock as I could not locate it on the shelves. I received a curt "no" as a response. He did not even have the courtesy to look at me when speaking to me. Looks like a new staff member, wears glasses (not the owner). Usually the staff are pretty nice here but this new one is not personable at all! Anyway, it has put me right off using this pharmacy again.

Expensive. But great selection. Snacks, milk, fruit. A Post office inside is convenient. One stop shop.

This location is very spacious, and has a lot of relevant brands. But I recently had a bad experience here. I walked into the store, looking for a specific anti bacterial soap, so i asked the nearest employee.she was an old indian lady, and her name was Suman, i assume she works in cosmetics, as she was dressed in all black.when i asked her where the product was located, she said “go ask pharmacy. ” i knew that product would probably not be located in pharmacy, so i just kept looking around the store, and then i seen another employee.i’m not sure what her name was, but she was very kind to me.and she kindly said “that would be in aisle 2. ” i truly hope that lady has an amazing day, you can tell she enjoys her job, as well as helping customers.i then went to the 2nd aisle, and the brand that i was looking for was simply not there.so like any normal person, i started walking towards the door, so i could leave.i did not look suspicious at all, as i never took anything.then Suman watches me walk out and yells at me and tells me to pay.and accuses me of shoplifting. Suman has no reason to accuse me, and i know the only reason that she did was because of my skin color.i have never shoplifted ever in my life, they way she yelled at me was so humiliating, especially since there were other customers in the store.i’m glad there are many other Shoppers locations in Calgary.so i will never be coming back here again! And even if i did happen to shoplift, the door would have produced an alarm anyways…

THIS PHARMACY NEEDS TO GET IT TOGETHER! I have been going here for more than 10 years they used to be great now, they do anything to get you off of the phone even with emergencies! They never have your prescription ready, and mix up prescriptions all the time! I know the job can be stressful but customer service is a part of the job, I had to call shoppers drug mart in the south to get advice, they were so helpful and told me what to tell this pharmacy. This pharmacy never gave me alternative options! They gave me no information. I’m shocked that people act like this at their jobs and are still employed. If I had the mentality and workmanship of some of the people at this pharmacy, I would’ve been fired years ago.

The staff here thinks this is a small ghetto supermarket when it’s a large franchise that should be properly taken care of. They act like you cannot return things, when you most definitely can return their expired used products that break you out.they stare and follow the wrong people. And no one seems to ever be in control, they need to call a manger just to know how to scan an item

Worst. Experience. Ever. I will never shop here ever again. Kept getting followed by the security. The lady at the makeup counter kept checking everything I touched. Discrimination at its finest. Worst shoppers ever I will NOT be returning. I would rather drive an hour than come to this shoppers. I was not holding any bags. Disgusting treatment I really think shoppers should take a look at what type of people they decide to hire. Ruined my day to be honest. Reading the reviews it seems people are having a similar problem to me.

First of all if there is 0 star here I will give zero for this location, my cousin went here to take pictures for citizenship application. The guy put a wrong stamp on the req with the guarantor on it which is for applying PASSPORT, NOT FOR APPLYING CITIZENSHIP. It is supposed to be name and address of the store and date only.she went back after 3 days because of her schedule and she lives far from this area. The guy (supervisor) who took this declined to change the picture, he even said he will take a new one but she has to pay, how is it possible that she has to pay for the thing he messed it up? The nerve of this guy telling that there is no application came back because of this, well I will tell you when I had my picture taken here when I processed my passport, the lady who took it told me not to remove my eyeglasses even if i told her I wanted to remove it, guess what my photos got returned and they ask for a new one. How many times you are going to waste people time processing their paper? This is a serious matter, you should DO IT PROPERLY, If you are unable to do it properly please STOP TAKING THIS SERVICES or change your staff with more experience and expertise with this kind of thing. I hope the owner or mgt will do something about this!

My first time shopping at Shoppers Drug Mart in Calgary. Staff members are nice, friendly and helpful.

They really want one to use the self-serve checkout. So much so, last week a worker walked me through how to use it.but they failed to properly apply the discount. Zero time saved. This is not the place if you need customer service.

I came in to return a product I had bought at another Shoppers, When I went to the customer service the associate asked me twice "Did any one see you walk in with this" pretty much asking me if I just grabbed it off the shelf to return it (ie stealing). That could be believable, except for the fact I had the original recipe with the product, so why would that make any sense? After a manager came, she told him that she didn't see me come in with the item. They then scanned the item and the price on the till was more expensive (I was only trying to get what I paid for it, not the more expensive price) than on my receipt and they said they couldn't do anything and to go to the original store. Maybe this location has a lot of those problems with those people but to accuse people everyone is bad service. Maybe hire someone to work at the front or check your cameras.

I came here 11: 55 pm because my kid is sick and I need to buy Tylenol for my kids. The security guy told me closed already! Seriously guys! You don’t respect your business hours! Although, it says you close at 12: 00 AM.

I was very disappointed in the 25 minute wait April 3rd, 2023at noon, to have a post-op pain medication prescription filled for my husband who I was bringing home from day-surgery. He had to wait MOST uncomfortably in our car. Shouldn't the staff have a process for emergency situations! Besides the FACT, NO washroom facilities for waiting customers.

Always an amazing place to go too, very kind staff and they will go all they way to help you out, and making sure you have gotten what you came for.

I recently went to my local post office to pick up some packages. I had heard complaints from other customers, so I figured it was worth a shot. Boy, was I wrong!

First off, the counter staff were so unhelpful. They refused to answer my questions about the packages and were incredibly passive aggressive. At one point, I asked for help to find something and one of the employees completely ignored me for five minutes until I had given up.

The employees also seemed completely unmotivated. They didn’t seem to care about helping customers, and several times I had to ask multiple times for them to do something. They were also quite curt, speaking to me in a very condescending manner.

The final straw was when I was trying to pick up my package. The employee told me they didn’t have it and when I asked if they had checked, they rolled their eyes and said they had done all they could. I ended up having to wait another hour for them to find it.

Overall, my experience at the post office was terrible. The customer service was abysmal and the staff were rude, unhelpful, and unmotivated. If you ever have any mail or packages that need to be picked up, I wouldn’t recommend going to your This local post office Location.

This place is negligent and dangerous!

Have been using this pharmacy for a year now. In the last year I either don't get my prescription or they only give me half then don't tell me. Recently they made the other half of a long term prescription and didn't tell me so it sat there. They saw I didn't pick it up so re shelved it then when I ordered it they said I already picked it up. Super frustrating. Once they realized I didn't, they let me come pick it up then chastised me for not getting it before. How would I know it was even there? Noone called me or told me!

The worst part is my son was prescribed medication there. They gave him the incorrect solution percentage which is more than an adult should be given and caused a reaction and he is now missing school. I called them to tell them and get the right medication. The response was "we don't have that here you'll have to go to compounding pharmacy".

Noone cared to say sorry or ask how is he doing. I said how can I do that when you have the prescription? " Why didn't you tell me this the first time? They are now making me come to them to pick up the prescription paper. These people do not care about you or your health. And have no ownership when they make a mistake.

I recently visited this particular Shoppers drug mart to buy some medication and was pleasantly surprised by the wide range of medicine stocks available. The store had everything I needed, and I was able to find what I was looking for quickly and easily. The staff were also incredibly helpful and friendly, answering any questions I had and even letting me use the washroom during my visit.

One thing I particularly appreciated about this drug store was their self-service payment option. This made the checkout process quick and easy, allowing me to pay for my items and be on my way in no time.

Overall, I would highly recommend this drug store to anyone in need of medication or other health-related products. If I could give zero I would my spouse was harassed and grabbed by a male employee maybe a few months ago and now my spouse and friend were harassed with racial profiling today this place is garbage. They count only on there convenience.
