Go elsewhere for Pharmacy needs. I have been a customer/patient at this location since they opened. At first the service was excellent and prescriptions were filled promptly. Now they never answer their phone calls, can't even fill a prescription even when you give them 48 hours to dispense ahead of time. The staff are OK and the head Pharmacist is really nice to me but their timely manner to meet patients needs is really bad now.

It's only going to get worse in my opinion as they are opening a small medical clinic on site shortly which will only add to the long wait times and drug dispense lapses.

I am at this location at least once a week to pick up meds and it seems there are new Pharmacy associates all the time. Every week. Not sure what is going on there but not good when you would like to see the same faces working there.

I will be looking to find a new Pharmacy very soon. My patience has run out with the poor service over the years.customer/

RESPONSE to Corporate. Dozens apon dozens have rated this store a 1 and over a long time. Same issues still exist. I am NOT phoning your 1 800 number. If you really care about customer health and service, get off your lazy butt and go fix this store yourself.

Aug 25,2023 Absolutely atrocious customer service. How the heck does a place with this many negative reviews stay open. What the heck is wrong with Shoppers Corporate that they allow this to go on. On top of the truly lousy service and arrogant manager, they also refuse to follow Shoppers' corporate policies, and they make up their own rules as they go along. Kind of makes a joke out of franchise branding.

Really disappointing experience here.

The pharmacy tech told me to come back in half an hour to pick up my filled prescription.

Returned 90 minutes later, only to wait while the pharmacist filled it.

Would probably have been smarter never to have left and just had him fill it immediately.

Empty shelves send your customers to elsewhere. From time to time I want a red bull but whoever does the ordering never orders enough. Your refrigerated drink area is empty half the time. This costs you money. I have met more than a few people who bought retail locations who have empty shelves and just by ordering properly, keeping shelves full they were able to increase revenue by 30% in some cases. You want to sell RedBull, have it in stock… otherwise you are not serious business people.

It’s funny I told my husband I didn’t want to go to this pharmacy to fill my son’s medication. I had been there 3 times and my experiences had not been great. The wait times are beyond and the unprofessionalism at this location is uncalled for. I was given a wrong medication for my son. Rather than apologize for my time, their error and having to go back, I was met with disrespect and lack of customer service. I was unable to fill the medication and had to go back to our original pharmacy in Namao. I can’t describe in words how unprofessional the staff were. I am glad the reviews speak to the lack of professionalism and lack of customer service at this particular pharmacy. Why is this pharmacy still operating? Why has the owner not been reported to the college of pharmacy because clearly the staff know they can get away with this. I have never experienced such horrible interaction. Somethings needs to change at this location!

I don’t understand how this place has so many bad reviews, the staff here is amazing, they’re all so sweet and willing to help you. I’ve dealt with a girl named Ashley a few times and she’s AMAZING. This is by far the best shoppers I’ve ever been to.

Much like other reviewers, our experience at this pharmacy has been spotty at best, and terrible at worst. If they tell you to come back in an hour, or 5, or the next day, whatever time you come in there's a good chance your prescription still won't be ready and you'll have to wait. My girlfriend has been getting her birth control here for 8ish years, before they moved off 134ave, and they consistently don't have her full prescription when they call. 95% of the time it's 2/3 months supply with a "we will call you when the 3rd pack is in". Fun fact: they don't call!

The staff are nice and help when u need it. Pharmacy can be a long wait sometimes but ppl need patience. The cosmetics department is run by the nicest person I’ve ever met. She always helps me when I have a question on my face. Lots of the cashiers are very sweet also. It’s a great place to shop.

Waiting times are just not ok… even if you go the next day you still have to wait because the medication that was supposed to be ready the day before it’s not… very frustrating experience 99% of the time

Unless they change staff/service, you are batter off to go somewhere else. Dropped off prescription yesterday and I was told it will be ready in an hour, tried to picked up today to save time but still I had to wait another 35 mins. They need to learn to respect customers time.

This pharmacy does its own thing. It acts in its own manner and does as they please without professionalism. This is not a one time occurrence with me. This has been an on-going issue.

They DO NOT proactively reach out to communicate with the customer/patient that medications are shorted. Instead, they will not inform you until you go in to pick up or you inquire why your refill was not filled and leave you scrambling to find the medications last minute.

They will not offer to run an inventory to tell you which shoppers pharmacy has said medication in stock. Instead, they will tell you to go and call each individual pharmacy. They will ask you if you'd like to wait as if they are going to save you time. If I had extras, absolutely, but we all know that all regularly used routine medications must be dispensed to the maximum that can be safely dispensed. Therefore, extras do not occur and is not an option for non as needed medications. Thus waiting, is not an option?

As pharmacists and/or pharmacy assistants that are regulated by their licensing bodies and have had to go through education. They should understand the importance of a customer/patient receiving their medications on time to reduce interactions or complications and should go through the maximum effort to ensure continuity of care and safety of the individual (s) involved. According to customer service, this is not the first time this specific store has pulled this type of behaviour. It is quite unfortunate that the professionalism to ensure continuity of care and customer/patient safety is this low proves how much they value their customers/patients.

I am completely unimpressed by the pharmacy they have been completely useless and I have been hung up on multiple times they have been completely unprepared for all prescriptions and unprofessional as well as disorganized they are extremely disrespectful and have a lot of attitude whenever I call to pick up my prescription I am completely and utterly unimpressed and frustrated with the lack of customer service aswell as the poor management.

So I never really come to this location in griesbach, namao shoppers is my go to as I live closer to there. But I was recently there earlier today and a wonderful cashier named janah was working. She was super helpful and very kind and helped with what I was looking for. Definitely will be visiting this shoppers again if all the workers are as kind and helpful as her. There is not many good customer service now a days and I’m happy to say that I had a great experience today.

HARVEY from the Pharmacy is the only reason why I always come back here. He is patient and takes time to explain your prescriptions. He is very knowledgeable and kind. His associates are the worst! They will try push you away when you ask them questions and cannot answer any single question you might have! I HOPE HARVEY WILL GET REAL HELP at the pharmacy. I feel bad for him. He is the only one who works there with a heart.

HORRIFIC pharmacy. They never fill your prescription, even when you call ahead. They never fill the entire order so you have to go back and wait again. I called and asked if my refill was filled and was put on hold FOR AN HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES. My husband and sister have the same problems with them. Absolutely will not be going back.

The store itself is ok, I usually never come to this location. Today I stopped by around 5 ish and a cashier named Hannah I believe helped me out. She was incredibly sweet and she had a beautiful smile. Please hire more people like this girl!

Went in this store and the "Mananger" stole stuff right out of our bag called us theifs and embarrased us infront of a bunch of other Customers. Terrible Customer service and made us drive across city to go get the recipt from where we purchased what they stole from us. And once we went back they claimed they didn't steal from us and lied to our face.

I chose this pharmacy out of convenience since the location is close to me. This pharmacy is the worst one I have ever been to! It is near impossible to get anyone on the phone, my son's prescriptions are never ready when I go to pick them up and it is always a 20+ minute wait. I will be switching to a new pharmacy after the last refill.

I am at a loss as to how a professional customer serving company could have so much bad reviews. I have a very darning one I will post shortly.

I have yet to conclude this review. My thoughts of this establishment is pending. All depending on how I am finally treated. Case ongoing.

Great location.amy was very helpful and assisted me in finding what i needed while keeping a very friendly and welcoming attitude.although it was snowy day, the store was clean and organized.the store was easy to shop around.all the staff were incredibly welcoming and i will for sure be returning to this location.my pharmacy experience was also great, very friendly.

Great people even close to midnight they will kindly help you, I had to buy some sort of medicine for my toddler and they made sure they helped me all the way until find the product also check with the pharmacy about other options very appreciated.

Just switched to this Pharmacy. 3 prescription dropped off day before told could wait half hr or ready anytime next day all 3 times I waited over 15 minutes the next day. I'm currently waiting right now. The store itself great Pharmacy never had this problem my old shoppers Pharmacy.

I'm am so disappointed on the mixed messages received from various pharmacy staff members over the last couple of weeks.

This pharmacy has not been answering their phones for months, so I had to go in person. While in person, I was turned away 4 separate times when requesting to be placed on the covid-19 vaccination list.

Twice I was turned away because their list exceeded 400 people and they could not add more people at this time.but was asked to keep coming back?

I was also turned away because they did not know which type of vaccine they were receiving and to come back in a few days during to late shipments.

Lastly, I did was was asked if me and went back a few days later and was last told that I cannot be placed on the list because they need to open up their calendar to BOOK APPOINTMENTS. So I asked fir an appointment I stead of being on the list. Well, I was turned away again because the employee that opens the calendar is not working.and to come back on Saturday.

By the way, everytime I was there in person, the phones kept ringing and ringing and staff just let the phones go.

This has been such a demoralizing and discouraging experience.

The pharmacy never answers their phone. Never fills perceptions on time and is not friendly or and easy transaction.
The front store staff ignore you even when you have a bunch of items and let's you do it all yourself. No sign on the door at night letting you know you can enter the other door.
Will not return.

Rude Pharmacist! The indian pharmacist there she is really rude, barely asked any relevant questions i may have had, made me wait 40 mins usually its 20 mins wait, on pick up she did not even bother to come and talk to me. She has no sense of what customer service is.never buying meds there again!

Recently my credit card was compromised and my bank had to cancel it and send me a new one. I just ordered stuff from online that I needed to return at shoppers so I called this location and asked if I could return to my new card the bank sent me as my old one was canceled. They told me it would not be an issue. 4 days later I got my new card and tried to return my items. First of all 'don' came over and tried telling me that online orders can only be returned to gift cards when the invoice clearly states it can be returned to credit card. I then explained to them about my credit card and that I was told it would be fine. Don kept shooting me down at every thing I said and kept saying gift card. He then said he would get a manager over. So manager comes over and she refuses to return it to my card even though I had all I. D. I was told to bring and my new card. I then headed over to Namao shoppers and Tamara helped me with no issues. Maybe they shouldn't have their staff telling people one thing then refusing to do it.

First time buying an electronic item from shoppers at griesbach. I Had bought a TV for family as a present near Christmas however, THE TV DOESNT TURN ON even after trying everything. The TV was not opened until after christmas so it was passed the 30 day of no return policy but the namao has a grace period for returns during christmas. Why can't all Shoppers be uniformed since this is a cooperate company? ! HIGHly dont reccommend buying any electronics from the griesbach location because the assistant manager is pretty clueless when talking to customers because she kept questioning why we didn't return it earlier. I didn't realize she opens her presents way before christmas. Thank you so much griesbach shoppers for stocking up junk electronic for your customers.

I am guessing that the owner is super cheap, and cashiers aren't the highly trained. Cause apparently if you buy a $3 lotto ticket when spending $150 dollars on other items, you can't put it on a credit card, and the cashiers don't know how to split the bills. I get don't let me if I am buying only lottos, but I bought $150 worth of other stuff.

Very clean and organized store.well stocked. Have been going to this store since it was in the old location.
Pharmacy staff, very considerate, understanding and go the extra mile to help where appropriate, I do understand sometimes they are limited with the services they can provide, however, they try to do their best.

This review ONLY for the pharmacy section.
I picked up my medication today and the experience I had is totally different than the drop off. When I dropped my prescription off, I spoke to very helpful gentleman called Harvey. He was very informative, nice and professional. In my pick up visit tonight, the person who called Shelly was clueless and in a rush to even explain the instructions. I only got her explanation after I asked her about, otherwise I believe I would have walked way with zero information or what they are required to do. I will never use this pharmacy or recommend to anyone.

Any pharmacy can give you enough medication to tie you over until your next doctor appointment as long as it's not a narcotic. They refused to do that for me and let me purchase a weeks worth. And I was a new customer with prescription coverage! I had just transferred my prescriptions there as I recently moved to the area. Needless to say I transferred my prescriptions elsewhere after that. Not impressed.

Great location for Shoppers. I shop regularly at Shoppers Drug Mart at several locations and this is a nice one. It’s a fairly new location and is bright and clean. The staff is friendly and courteous. Prices are okay at times so you have watch the sales and make sure you have the Optimum card to get points to use later to get free stuff. When they have 20x points that like 30% off, usually it’s on the weekend so get those points.

This is by far the WORST drug store to cater to special needs! I have a service dog that helps detect my seizures and every time I go in, every single employee chases me down every isle, yelling at me across the store demanding to see my Service Dog ID card, although she wears her service dog tag or vest every time. I wish they could communicate with each other. Cause as soon as I go into another isle, ANOTHER worker starts yelling at me!
I feel belittled, humiliated and sometimes would rather risk having a seizure on their floor than to be yelled at in front of other customers like that. They have lost my business and my trust.
I don’t recommend this place as a drug store. I haven’t even had restaurants treat me this poorly ️

This is a large Shoppers with a well stocked food department and cosmetic department. That's why they got an entire star from me.
As for the Pharmacy.
I started utilizing this particular Shoppers Drug Mart 15 YEARS ago (while it was still at Rosslyn). So after all those years I was reluctant to change. But just in the last year they have not only put my health on the line but my life as well in incident after incident of making huge and small mistakes and then refusing to correct them.
How do I even express the fear (of not having my needed medication) or the physical pain endured without it?
I'll simply quote the lady coordinating my hospital discharge who had to fax and phone this Pharmacy several times just to get my prescriptions filled for my home going. "Mass confusion".
But to end positively, they had one Pharmacist named Agnes who was EVERYTHING a Pharmacist should be and more, but is no longer there.
Also they use the VJ Courier Service which has literally come to my rescue many times. However, she works for several Shoppers Drug Marts in this area.
My experiences; your choice.

We’re in the Griesbach area so we decided to visit this Shoppers. The store is actually bigger and has a lot of products than the Shoppers Drug Mart by my house. It is very tidy and bigger aisle to navigate the cart.
They have so many items on sale and a 20x points event when we visited. I have few coupons with me, I could save and at the same time earn. I made sure that I will reach the right amount with coupons to have my personal points and the store points offer awarded to my account. During transaction, the cashier keep reading the fine print to make sure it’s redeemable in Canada, although it says it’s from web saver.ca and P&G. This person even asked me where did I get it from? & that they never encountered this kind of coupon. Have to call the manager to make sure they accept this coupon. Then been told I can’t use coupons for the sale items I was going to purchase. Have to wait for more than 10 minutes to figure it out. I’ve never been denied to use coupons in any Shoppers Drugmart even it’s on sale or there’s a points event. When handing me the receipts the cashier told me I even got more PC points without using coupons, which is considered as cash back anyways. I just shrugged ‍️ it off. I wanted to tell that cashier that couponing saves a lot of families money. There’s nothing wrong about it. Some of us looks forward to this kind of event to save and at the same time earn as much as we could. Maybe train your cashiers in processing coupons and your rules regarding this.

The rating given above is for the pharmacy, not the whole store. Pharmacy staff are unhelpful, grumpy and borderline rude. Especially the night shift pharmacy assistants! I'd definitely use another pharmacy in the future. As for the rest of the store, no issues at all.

I've been to many shoppers drug marts, and the pharmacy here has BY FAR the worst service I've come across. They seem to work harder to not help you than to provide any sort of help. Go down the street to the other shoppers, it'll be worth your time.
