Just trying to confirm a past prescription was still there.on hold for 23minutes then hung up. Pharmacists at that location look like they aren't happy. Sad to see. Other stores staff are far more approachable

I've had my prescriptions here for six or seven years now, but I'm going to be finding a new pharmacy. Waited on hold for 25 minutes this morning and finally hung up - without ever speaking to an actual person.

You guys get a 4 because Pam is a very VERY helpful person. Other than that you may want to look into better scheduling, or time management for the pharmacy. It's very slow ಠ_ಠ

The Pharmacy line is painfully slow. They are either understaffed or just don’t care. There is a 15-20 minute line up every time I come here to pick up.

Worst pharmacy in the greater edmonton area. You literally are on hold for at least 45 minutes to ask for a refill. In person walk ins to ask for the refill take a good 30 min but unfortunately you have to wait for a couple of hours for them to actually refill it. Hard to do what if you don't have many hours to be on the phone or go in person.

I have to finish antibiotics and they only gave me half.said they needed 2 days
I came back 5 days later and now I need them and they still don’t have them nor tell me about it. If you want to get angry come here!

Horrible customer service. I have been going here my entire life, and in the past few years the customer service has been awful (in the pharmacy). They never answer the phone or you are on hold for hours. They tell you a prescription will be ready at a certain time, but when you go to pick it up, it’s not ready and you’re stuck waiting for 45 minutes. They do not respect your time. When you complain or tell the pharmacy staff you were told it would be ready at a certain time, they just shrug you off or say it’s busy. Today was the last straw, I tried calling from 9 am to 2 pm for a prescription I need filled today before my vacation and couldn’t get through and then was put on hold for 45 minutes. As soon as they answered my call, I asked to have mine and my entire families files transferred. Good riddance.

I’ve been here twice already, one time to make a return and another time to buy a product I was looking for. Today I had to make a return, and I have to say the manager Becca is very rude and impatient. I also had to purchase a product from the beauty section the other day and I was not impressed with the help. Samantha in the beauty department helped me first and she was very kind and I appreciated her help. Unfortunately I had an appointment to get to, so I couldn’t stay with her. Once I came back maybe an hour later Samantha was no longer there and I ended up with 2 girls who didn’t seem to want to help me.
So I’m definitely not impressed.

**Update** Moved pharmacy's because of the inappropriate management of my medications causing serious repercussions**

Simply said, "It's the type of pharmacy you don't need to call ahead to see who's working because you know that the quality of service will be wonderful no matter who's on shift".

I have very high standards when it comes to costumer service and the entire pharmacy staff at this location have surpassed all of my expectations. They play an INSTRUMENTAL role in my ability to seamlessly manage my medications.

I usually don’t like going in the beauty boutique because I’ve had terrible experiences in the past. But I was definitely lucky this time when I went to this location. The beauty attendant Paula was AMAZING. She was so kind and caring, She took time to color match me and recommended a ton of products for my skin types. We chatted for quite awhile. And I left with some great products and honestly just a fantastic mood overall. Thank you again Paula:)

Went in today with my mom and met Kiki and she was an absolute delight! She really helped us in the beauty section. She was warm and welcoming and created amazing conversation and made our visit to our usual location so wonderful. We definitely left with smiles on our faces and will be returning just for her help. All the beautiful women there are always so awesome glad we get the best customer service every time! Thanks so much Kiki

They are the only one with a canada post nearby whoose staff really dont try to rip you off, but to be honest everything there is overpriced.

I’m so grateful for the pharmacist, Erin. I came in having an asthma attack and didn’t have a lot of time left where I could speak or walk, so I couldn’t make it into the ER beside the Shoppers. I told her what was happening and she handed me a Ventolin immediately and let me sit in a private area to recover. I hadn’t realized I’d left my AHC card, drivers license and benefits card on the counter and Erin went ahead entering my info while I caught my breath. She checked on me, offered me water and brought me a box of tissues. When I thanked her, she said “that’s why we are here” She is so humble and kind. I’ll be grateful for her help for the rest of my life. Thank you Erin!

Usually try to avoid Shopper's if I can. You get forced to walk through the stinky cosmetics department on your way in. I have to hold my breath each time. Products are generally overpriced as well. I've had issues trying to use their self checkout machines, and I use them regularly at other stores.

Tried to get a hold of the pharmacy for over 40 minutes, the worker there named kiefer kept hanging up on me without even answering the phone and letting me know he’s putting me on hold. Out of the 18 times I called he answered three times and just said hold and put me on hold, finally the time I actually got through for him to answer he just said “pharmacy “ and that was it no apology no nothing. Staff needs to be trained properly on answering the phones people need their prescriptions especially when they are sick and to not answer for almost a hour is disgusting he didn’t even apologize after I explained how long I’ve been trying to get a hold of them for and that he kept hanging up the phone without telling me to hold. Do better

We just moved in from ontario so me and my wife went at this location at st.albert l. My wife bought some staff that she needed so we met one of there staff her name was Sherry she was super helpful and she actually took her time and helped my wife with the products that she needed and she recommend some for me as well really knows her products really nice girl.

Outstanding service today from Pamela in the cosmetics department. She took the time to ask about their app and got me 20x the points on my purchase. I was also VERY impressed when I overheard staff introducing a new hire and giving her lots of positive encouragement! Very well done ladies!

This store is always so helpful, my prescription had run out, for heartburn about 4days before, must have taken too many! I ordered my prescription on line, takes 48 hours to fill, I really got sick in the mean time without it, Ezat came to my rescue and filled it out earlier, such a personable young man, he saved me!
Ezat and Dev are the greatest!

People here were nice. The lineups and wait times were atrocious. I guess that’s expected next to a hospital?
I went to get a prescription filled. The person at the counter said 20-30 minutes. I came back at the 30 minute mark. I was told “10 more minutes”. Came back at 12 minutes and was told five more minutes. Came back five minutes later and it wasn’t ready. “5-10 more minutes”. So I came back in 10 and it still wasn’t ready so the person said “I’ll just do it myself right now”. Another ten minutes later and it was done.

The people at the counter were kind of nice. But I must have saw at least 50 people in and out and waiting during my wait. If they would have told me it would take an hour, I would simply leave and come back instead of wasting my time.

The other downside is that there isn’t really a waiting area. If you want to stay close to the pharmacy to hear your name called, your basically at the end of the aisles blocking people who are shopping close to that section.
I’ll be trying another pharmacy in the future that is more accurate at their wait time guesses.

Being using this pharmacy for a few years. The last few visits to this shoppers has been rather less than satisfactory. My last visit which now will be my last as I have now switched my pharmacy was rather disappointing. I recently had oral surgery and was wired shut couldn’t talk and was in pain. I had the hospital fax my prescriptions over from my surgery to this pharmacy the day before I got out so everything could be ready to go without waiting or hassle. As my last few visits I had to wait over 1.5+ hours for my medication. Go to pick up my prescriptions and I am in formed that they can’t fill my pain medication as it requires a triplicate prescription. Got ahold of the hospital and they confirmed with a doctor that this medication doesn’t require a triplicate prescription. My doctor was in surgery a was not able to deal with this issue as it’s not usually a problem. I was in pain and couldn’t sit around waiting all day to get this sorted out as it should had been ready. Went to a different pharmacy and got all my medications without any issues or a triplicate prescription within 15 mins. Highly don’t recommend shoppers anymore.

We had our prescriptions sent to this Shoppers since we had such great rapport and confidence in the pharmacy team at the Shoppers near our last home. Over the phone the staff at this pharmacy, however, have seemed sort of unconcerned, to the point of being unhelpful, about switching pharmacies/concurrent meds/medication history etc. Initially they didn't want any contact info or prior info or med history (whereas our old pharmacy was very thorough, knew patients by name, and frequently discussed history and med interactions etc). This Shoppers simply said that they'd fill the two Rx's and didn't want my info/file from the other pharmacy or even from me - it was all fine and I should just come pick the meds up. Weird, but ok. But when it came time to pick them up, they hadn't in fact filled them. They HAD received the rx from the doctor but not filled it. Weird. Maybe they need patient contact info before filling, even though they told me they didn't? In any case, I again asked for it to be filled & was advised when it could be picked up. I also confirmed that they had received the other 2 prescriptions (I have a GP and a specialist) and that they too were filled. But we went to pick them up, only two of the four meds were in the bag. The pharmacy didn't discuss the brand new medication, made no assessment of meds/supplements for interactions and to my knowledge this this pharmacy STILL has no knowledge of my other medical conditions being treated or concurrent meds being taken, in order to check for interactions! At home we opened the bag and one med was correct, and the other one had been substitututed for a generic that I did not ask for or agree to - one that has always caused side effects whenever I have tried it. Very frustrating that they made the substitution & billed insurance for it without even making mention of it to us! The do not substitute for that med is on my file at the previous pharmacy but this place didn't want any info from me or the previous pharmacy when I switched so I guess it's up to me to tell them. Still would be nice to have been asked, or at least informed, that they were changing it. On discovering the substitution and two missing meds, at home, we had to call again and go back in. Once we finally got the last two prescriptions, we found that another medication had been substituted for a generic -one that the specialist has indicated in the past should not be subbed for generic -but I guess this pharmacy wouldn't know since they don't have (any didn't want) my file or past info. All in all these are easily solvable issues, but my experience was not very good and my confidence in this pharmacy is not very high.

I always go to this shoppers for the beauty boutique! It has by far the best Service! I live in North edmonton and I always travel to this one! All the girls are exceptional! Today I had Pamela as a customer service representative and she was fabulous!

Very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and accountability of the pharmacy. Had a covid test taken with the expectation of results within 48 hours or close. After three days had to call the pharmacy twice to find out they hadn't sent my sample to the lab until a 1.5 days after I had given it. I would expect at the least the courtesy of a call notifying they forgot or chose not to send it in. Again, disappointing and unprofessional.

I have been coming to this Shoppers for many years and I have never had a bad experience. The service is always timely and accurate. Having been to other pharmacies in the past, this Shoppers is a step above the rest. I will definitely continue to support this store well into the future.

This Shoppers Drug Mart is truly unbeatable. I have utilized every department at this store and I have never been disappointed. All the staff here are very friendly - not to mention the clean store! The pharmacists are understanding and acknowledge me as soon as I line up so I know they are attentive. Whenever I have an issue or question regarding my prescriptions or insurance, the pharmacy staff are never condescending and are happy to explain to me what the situation was. The store owner, Duy, has helped me out many times and he is great! As I am shopping around, the merchandisers would also ask me if I need any help which is very much appreciated. I would highly recommend shopping here!

Came here to grab a few random things on my birthday and ended up meeting this fabulous employee Mona in the fragrance area. Mona was personable, super helpful and attentive. I learned so many new things from Mona about perfume selection and wearing. She picked the perfect scents for my friends and I and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Mona went even farther to give us a bunch of free gifts. Even upon paying Mona packed our purchase in nice bags and taught us the most effective ways and days to come back and spend the points we earned for maximum value. Everyone who wants to feel comfortable, taken care of and also wants to laugh a little should go see Mona. Mona is one of the best sales people I’ve ever met and I’ll definitely go out of my way to visit her again and again

Had been using this pharmacy for a few years. However the last 3 times coming in to fill orders there have been issues. First they have not sent in for our drug coverage even after I asked why not. The last 2 times they have given me medication in bottles with no way of getting it out. I had to drive back to the store after getting home. They have also now twice given me liquid medicine with no child proof lids. I have spoken with the pharmacist about this and nothing changed. Apparently giving medicine out with out safety caps is acceptable for them.
Will no longer be using Shoppers Drugmart.

Becca the manager here is extremely rude and speaks nonsense. I really hope the owner fires her and brings in someone new, you can see from all the other reviews no one enjoys going to this store

I came in to get new makeup as my skin is sensitive. Amanda was supper helpful and helped me get what I needed and took the time to help me. She was super helpful and she is such an amazing people person.she is an asset to the company and should be recognized for her hard work and her amazing inter personal skills and outgoingness.oh yeah I guess I should say I am using my husband's account to post this review.lol

I have been a customer of this location for 6 years.recently changed my prescriptions to rexall because a pharmacy staff member told me she couldnt recognize me becausei looked “sick and tired”. I simply just had no makeup on.but that was nothing compared to yesterday, when i went in to show my friend the new beauty section of the store.sadly, i will never ever ever go there again.we were looking around and noticed a drawer, full of samples, half open.on the drawer it said, ‘buy me before you try me’, it seemed too good to be true so we stood there for 2-5 minutes, looking at all the samples (i even checked on the product box to ensure it said ‘not for individual sale’, which it did) my friend and i took 3 samples each and continued to look around the store, i picked up a face mask and put it back onto the shelf. 1 minute later, we’re rudely approached by a ‘beauty manager’ asking if she can help
us, and if i have a st.tropez mask i’d like to give back to her.my stomach dropped into my feet.i instantly teared up and opened my bag to show her i hadn’t taken anything.this is when it went downhill badly.the lady began to lecture us about shoplifting, in the middle of the store, people watching, for a good 5-10 minutes.tears were streaming down my face and she did not care.she told me it was inappropriate behaviour to look into the drawers and if i have a large purse its protocol to leave it at the front of the store.i have never been more humiliated in my entire life.she was pointing to the security cameras and the security guard and kept giving me the most condescending look while nodding her head, as if to say ‘yeah dummy, you’ve done something horrible in my store now listen to me’. She kept
looking at me as if i was genuinely stupid because i was so upset, my friend said “she has severe anxiety” and the lady said “yeah well you guys need to understand theft is a huge issue here and its not okay”. Like I KNOW THEFT ISNT OKAY I WASNT THERE TO STEAL.i am still so humiliated and upset and i am going in today to speak with a manager.never ever ever in my life have i been treated with such extreme disrespect

I had recently been in this shoppers to pickup some household items, but upon my entry, I had noticed a very unprofessional situation. Two girls had been accused of shoplifting, and I had walked in as they were showing the inside of their purse. Nothing was found. But the beauty manager, I believe by the name Angela, continued to lecture the young girls about shoplifting. I do understand the severity of shoplifting, but these girls had proved themselves not guilty. This speech went on for about 5 minutes, and one of the girls was visibly crying. I called to report the situation as it had not only made me uncomfortable, but I’m sure had made others uncomfortable, and I was very discontent with the response. I had recieved a poor attitude and the call had left me feeling angered. I have been coming here for years and I will no longer be returning to this shoppers drug mart, as all around the whole experience was unproffesional and disrespectful.

I get my prescriptions from here and there always super friendly and willing to help. However, today I went into the new cosmetic department and both the ladies were rude. They did not seem intrested in helping me at all.once I finally asked for help she picked the first thing and said that's all she knew that would be good.
Guess I'll be driving to the edmonton location next time I need help finding something or just head to Sephora.
Or possibly wait till the taller lady with bright blue eyes are there she's always helpful.
