Shoppers Drug Mart

I sometimes stop into this shoppers because it's close to where I'm grocery shopping, but the way the employees make it so obvious that they are following and watching me makes me so upset. Just trying to peruse the drugstore makeup section and having staff visibly tailing me, or the woman at the beauty counter kept coming up to me to tell me she could serve me at the register when I'm still in the makeup aisle. Embarrassing experience all around and why? I'm very pale and it can be difficult to find makeup that suits me so I need a minute to consider my options. The few times I have stopped in here, I leave feeling upset. I understand loss prevention is important to a business but could you make it less obvious and less humiliating? Especially when I am not stealing.

We booked an appointment for our upcoming tip and Arsen was a great doctor! He was able to get us all the information needed, and get the various shots / prescriptions needed for our up coming trip.

He was great to work with, very friendly and polite, and super knowledgeable. I’d highly recommend booking an appointment with him if you need to get your travel vaccinations done. Thanks again Arsen, very much appreciated!

I would give more stars if I could. This has got to be the best pharmacy in Airdrie. Mr Arsen Gincher, has provided my wife and I with remarkable service and advice for our medication needs. He is the real deal. He provides a genuine and sincere service that seems to have been lost to many of us in todays society. Even though we moved across town, we will continue to drive the extra distance to support this fine businessman and his team. Airdrie is lucky to have him. I recommend he be nominated for businessman of the year. Thank you.

Me and my friends were there earlier today, and it was EXTREMLY comfortable first of all, employs kept watching us and following us around.secondly, we were looking at squishmallows (easter stuffed animals), and this lady worker comes up to us and threatens to call security if we weren't gonna buy anything? We were literally in the store for less than 10 minutes to. I responded to the lady saying "maam, We are looking at the squishmallows" and she walked away without hesitation and called security.

Me and my friend (both of us are teenage girls) went to shoppers because we wanted to look at make up and candy. We were pretty quiet, respectful and not disrupting anyone at all. We were looking at candies and my friend noticed the lady working at the cash register had been staring us down. She came up to us and asked us if we had a perscription, and told us that if we weren't going to buy anything we would have to leave. Apparently you need a perscription to browse through a store? We were only in the store for like 10 minutes, and I truly don't believe me and my friend were doing anything wrong. We talked to a few of our friends and parents later that day about it, as well as read a few reviews online and turns out we weren't the only kids kicked out of a store just because they are kids. Look, I get it, I go to school with the kind of kids who rob and vandalise but you can't discriminate people because of their age. I come here with my mom and wait for her to get what she needs, and we have never been asked to leave because we are taking too long to buy something or need a perscription to look around. I come here with my younger siblings to buy candy and everyone is super nice. But the second I walk into the store with another girl my age I am viewed as a criminal or someone who needs to be put on watch? Super gross and discriminatory. And it really sucks because a lot of the girls working in the makeup area are really sweet and always help me find what I'm looking for. I used to love coming here because everyone was always nice. But this is unproffesional and bad customer service, and it's always the same older employee. It's wrong. Do better.

My friend and I are teenage girls who were regular customers. Usually we would go in there to look and buy makeup. The staff in the makeup department are extremely kind and has great experience with customer service. The other staff however, (not including pharmacy staff) that work in the main part of shoppers, that's a different story. We were looking in the candy isle trying to decide if we wanted to get something, not being disruptive or disrespectful. I noticed one of the staff members was staring us down at the end of the candy isle as if we we're going to steal something, and when I looked up she asked, "Excuse me, are you waiting on a prescription, or an appointment? " and I replied "No we're just looking at candy and deciding. " and then she said "Well I'm going to have to ask you to leave then if you aren't going to buy anything. " and so my friend and I just left. I guess you need to have a prescription or an appointment to shop in a store that is more than just a pharmacy? This made us feel like we were being harassed and discriminated against because of our age. Now we feel extremely uncomfortable to shop in there again because we felt that our privacy was invaded. Just because some teenagers steal and disrespect property, doesn't mean that every single teenager does. If we were adults, I'm sure this wouldn't have happened.

My regular pharmacy. Arsen and his lovely wife are wonderful folks. This store runs a good ship and I have always been pleased with their superior service. I still miss pharmacist Harsh though, he was awesome as well.

Going to the till to pay for it they were threatened by one of the employee to get out of the store or she will call the security. Very poor customer sevice and improper training

As someone who seems to end up here every week, I can say the pharmacy staff is amazing! They catch it when things aren’t right, they explain everything very well, and they really seem to care about the health of the people they have in their care. On top of that, the guys who do the vaccines there really know what they are doing and are very good at it.

The one thing I really appreciate is that even though they know who I am and what I am there for, they still do the security questions when it’s appropriate. I know some would have gotten complacent, but everyone here is really on top of that. Even when they are really busy, they do every part of the job every time.

Really poor customer service - the store owner, Asern, refused to accept the online purchase return in store and acknowledged he violates company return policy. Apparently he's not a service provider so no reason to do business with him.

For the past couple months that I have entered this shoppers location, I have been followed the entire time by the employees. I understand a lot of people steal, but honestly I am so sick of being profiled for being a young girl in the makeup section.won’t be coming back.

We were at this SDM this evening to get our COVID booster shots. Simply extraordinary staff at the Pharmacy (Kalie and Nataly) and Dorota (at perfumes section). They were super professional and very helpful. I don't know the other staff members names but always received amazing service every time when we visit this store. Thank you so very much for all your assistance.

I would give this location a lower rating if I could. Generally terrible customer service, pharmacy is terrible, and I've had 3 seperate instances of purchasing items here and got home to find the boxes were empty. When I took the items back, I was told their return policy was 30 days - the one item was a stocking stuffer for my son for Xmas - they refused to take it back. Several times, we've gotten the text that our prescriptions were ready for pick up, but they weren't. We even received a prescription that was tampered with and missing 2 pills from the blister pack when we got it home and opened it. I agree with several other posts here, this location would be much more useful as a parking lot. We will not be back.

Worst pharmacist ever!
If you need to go to the pharmacy to get your prescription medicine, go to the Save On Food pharmacy across the street. Every time I went, the staff were rude. Beauty shop is same as pharmacy. I don't want to go this branch again.

Purchased a Nintendo switch from this location. Product was faulty and would not turn on even when fully charged. Tried to return it with receipt and well within the 30 days and they refused to take it back.
Will never shop at this location again. Sold me a defective product and they still refused to give a refund even with receipt and within the 30 day time frame. Absolutely ridiculous

If I could give 10 stars I would! Arson, Nataly and all the pharmacy staff are so kind, caring, and go above and beyond for my health and the health of my family!
Also, great make up counter with friendly helpful staff!

I have been a customer of Shoppers Drug Mart for many years so when this Coopers location opened so close to home I was quick to transfer my prescriptions over. The pharmacy team here have always helped my entire family with all our needs be it prescriptions, vaccines or just some simple (or difficult) questions. The pharmacy owner, Arsen, and his wife Natalie have gone over and above on many occasions to ensure we had the best experience in the store. We can confidently ask health related questions and know we are getting the best knowledge based answers from Arsen. Would not hesitate to recommend Shoppers Coopers for all your health needs, even if it’s only for ice cream to put a smile on someone’s face:) Thank you Arsen, Natalie and the rest of the team for all you do!

I called the pharmacist on a hope with it being so late 9pm at night and all Drs offices closed that maybe they could help me. I was in an awful lot of pain and I spoke with a lovely gentleman who told me to come straight in and he would see me and see if he could help. I’m so glad I called, the pharmacist I seen was Mr Arsen Gincher and he was truly amazing! Gave me just what I needed and his care and professionalism was We are very lucky to have such amazing people local to us and I would highly recommend and I will be back hopefully not for a while though lol ty so much

Arsen Gincher is truly one of the most hardworking and genuine people, the service he provides for all his customers is remarkable. I have never been to a pharmacy that cares for people the way they do. If you have any questions or concerns about your health or medication they will go out of their way to find the answer. The entire store is always so welcoming and helpful, if you need any help they will be the first to offer it. Truly the best!

This is a great pharmacy. We travel across Airdrie, past other shoppers to come see the pharmacists here. They're extremely helpful, and very friendly.

In absolutely shock that a pharmacist after I told it’s the wrong medicine and argued with me on the similarity and pulled the same thing the second time insisted that it’s okay that there is no difference other then brand and did not give me the proper brand
we’ll good job because it has cause more issues taking this then not, I’m absolutely disgusted in the service from the pharmacist when you’re prescribed something stick to what the paper says!

Not sure what the pharmacists issue was with me. Made me feel like I had done something wrong by asking for a prescription. Something very minor as seen by most anyways.

I was told “this isn’t a walk in clinic I can’t just prescribe what you’re asking for, you need to be a patient for a few years for us to establish a business relationship first. ”

I then went to another shoppers in town, they assessed me and gave me a prescription within 15 minutes.

Thank you for helping me to get my medication until I'm gonna find a family doctor.

Exceptional service!

This is the best and only drug store I deal with. I've been using SDM since I was a kid (now I'm almost 50). I've never found a store where the staff are so professional, so courteous and so caring towards their customers. The management really cares and it reflects in the cleanliness and organization of the store and in the interactions with the staff.

This the best Shoppers Drug Mart that I have shopped in. Arsen and Jafar are awesome, helping with whatever brings you to the Pharmacy. All the staff are friendly and professional.

Safia is such a wonderful person. I go to this Shoppers Drug Mart in particular because of her. She is so kind and always willing to answer any questions. She’s an amazing employee and a definite asset.

I love this store and their staff! It's in the perfect location for our communities needs, and I don't feel it should be a parking lot at all. The staff are kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. The pharmacist is great, and has been helpful in a variety of instances. Overall, 5/5 would recommend!

We visited this Shoppers as they had inventory of Apple AirPods where many Shoppers in Calgary didn’t. The store was bright and clean, and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. We definitely will return here for what we need from Shoppers in the future. Shirin was an absolute pleasure as our cashier, she took the time to connect with us and talk about the city, as my fiancé works in Airdrie and drives in from Calgary. Was kicked out the store for browsing the store for something personal I did not want to speak with the employees about.

Came to get a rapid test for travel and Jessica was amazing, shes was kind, and took her time explaining everything. I can only imagine how long her days are. Plus how many times in a day she had to repeat the same thing over and over again. Thank you for being so great!

Horrible experience, Waited 30 minutes for a prescription, with hovering eyes following every move as well as constantly whispering while staring at us. It is unacceptable for me as a person of color to be treated in such a blatantly racist way. I was holding my receipt and everything and still got this treatment. DO NOT SHOP HERE

This shoppers is exceptional, I drive all the way from southwest Calgary to this shoppers because it's just that good. It is always stocked and clean and you can always find what you are looking for. I absolutely love it

I called this afternoon to find information regarding covid vaccine eligibility and the lady natalie as I heat picked up the fon twice and when I asked her about the vaccine information, she just hanged the phone. This is so irresponsible behavior of the pharmacist during this time when they are being so respected for being front line workers. I had an appointment for myself but I am so scared of going there that how they are gonna deal with it. Please show some good attitude.

Tried numerous times to book on line and in person! No luck!
Basically don’t offer shots when you have no supply!

I would honestly give it a lower rating if I could. Pharmacy is completely useless, lazy, rude and just not helpful in the slightest. Should tear this location down and make it a parking lot. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt after going there for 3-4months, thought maybe as they got to know me things would change, I couldn't be more wrong. Cancelled my prescription after I had specifically called them telling them I was sick and would not be able to come in. Asked for some assistance regarding my benefits and recieved absolutely disgusting service. Stay away.

I have been coming to this Shoppers for years and I have never had a bad experience. Every single employee at this location is amazing. The employees in the Beauty Boutique are so friendly, the employees at the main check out are always so willing to help and best of all is the pharmacy team. The most knowledgeable and helpful pharmacists I have ever come across.

Every time I’ve come to this location I’m always blown away with how great the customer service is but today especially. Today I had the pleasure of dealing with Sanya & Dorota in the beauty boutique. They were so friendly and they went above and beyond to help me. It was the best customer service experience I’ve had at a Shopper’s location in Airdrie. After my purchase I asked to speak to the manager to let them know how great of an experience I had with the beauty boutique ladies and speaking with the manager and other employees at the front till were just as fantastic. This is the only Shoppers I will be bringing my business to in the future.:)

I really had no issues with this location until last night. After waiting patiently for months I learned I could finally do returns. I went here and all the returns were from this store, they were from March right before everything shut down and were not used at all. I had the receipts of course so I want anticipating any problems. So the cosmetics lady helping me was nice at first but when we got into the first return it went downhill from there. She started to put it in the system and then starts saying something about the reciept having been ripped off and it didn't show how I paid (which wasn't true as that info is above the barcode which the receipt had), so they takes me then to the front of the store and 3 of them are standing around the register and making me feel super uncomfortable especially after she said to me that she can't just give me money because that's how people rip off the store insuating that was my intention. So then she tells me that she had to give it back to me as a gift card and I said no because that's not how I had paid. So then she goes to the back and gets the manager and brings him back to the cosmetic area. So when he looks at the receipt it clearly says I paid cash originally and he tells me the problem is that they don't have the 30 bucks in any of the tills and for me to come back the next day so they can have the cash. Nothing is said about the fact that she just accused me of trying to get cash when I couldnt prove how I paid meanwhile it was on the receipt the whole time. And your telling me that store has been open all day and not 1 till has 30 dollars? So at this point I just wanted to leave, she gave me a receipt for the what was supposed to have been a void return but it clearly shows it as being returned including taking the points off even though I didn't return it! So I bring this up and the cosmetic lady literally holds her hand up in my face and says to me "It's too late for this come back tomorrow ". It took everything in me to not jump over the counter at this women. Now I have the joy of going back there this evening and attempting it all again. She should be fired for treating and taking to customers so rudely like I couldn't believe it. I was polite and barely said a word the whole time I didn't even say anything about her mistake about the receipt or the 3 of them smirking at me. When did customer service go from treating us with respect and that our business is valued to treating customers like liar's and someone not worth your time?

I really like this store. I find the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Every time I come here as soon as I enter the store I am greeted with a hello. I have gotten some good deals here as well and the pharmacy has some good people working there. They have always helped me out.

Arson in pharmacy is my go to guy. Always smiles. Very professional. Always helping with my prescription. I find all staff pleasant and cheerful.

Ignorant staff member in the beauty department, dont reccomend here, go to a diffrent one or not at all. Never felt so disrespected and racial profiled in my life

Actually we don't need this store here. Because there is one not far away. We would rather have a parking lot here. It is inconvenient to shopping at SAVE-ON-FOOD. And their service is really terrible.

If 10 masks ask $ 29. But it's only $ 18 for 100 masks at other stores. That's 18 times the price of other stores.

I love the staff at this shoppers. The girl at the makeup section (Alice) is so friendly and greets you very kindly. I love the pharmacist there. They are both so helpfull and very kind and care very much for your needs. Amazing attitude and customer service. I love this shoppers Drug Mart. Thank you
