This is a very large athletic park, with at least 6 baseball parks, 2 football arenas with stands, among other arenas and courts. I came here to play in my slow pitch league. I had a great time here and the baseball parks were clean and well taken care of with brand new lines for the park. It seems there is always some sport happening here during the weekend so there's always something to watch.
Awesome place. The football fields are the greatest place to watch your favorite high school football team. We had a wonderful time this evening. The concession that is at the park services great tasty food.
Wow this park has expanded. It's great. So many fields though. So many ppl. Parking can be a challenge but there us lots. Fields need better signage and more and better maps to know which is which.
Great for sports. Terrible for parking for people who have problems walking. Yes there are handicap parking, still a long way to go to get to ball diamonds.
Very accessible and lots of fun for my almost 2 year old. It can get very busy here on the weekend, so if you can, try to make it here during the week!
Came to see a slow pitch game with a group from our church. Have come here over the years to use the batting cage, watch soccer and ball games. Great facility and close to home.
Well maintained outdoors sports facility with artificial turf. The fields are premium regulation size and they have very neat washrooms, change rooms and adequate free parking.
Lovely serene park just by the river. Lots of green area to take walks with benches for picnics and quite times. A children's play area is right in the heart of the park with benches around to sit and watch the kids play. Lawn tennis court on one side also, so quite a few things to get busy with. Was out there for a group picnic and had a lovely time.
Great place for family gatherings, and fun. This park has an immersive playground for children and young-minded adults. For recreation, there's an aquatic centre, multiple tennis courts, outdoor basketball nets, bike paths, and large fields for any usage. Additionally, there's many benches, picnic tables, and barbecue stoves for public usage. For those intrigue in a retaining a certain spot, you can reserve a specific area of picnic tables through Calgary park administration.
Great park for walking the dog, having family picnics (free bbqs are provided), canoeing or even playing with your kids. Massive newly built playground takes up a huge portion on the park. Has a ramp to load and unload your canoes/kayaks near the bridge. A swimming pool is also located in the park. There are public washrooms but they are locked for the most part unless you can find a staff member with a key.
Parking isn't great, especially if you're physically challenged and need to make your way to some of the farther fields but the fields themselves are kept in pretty good shape. No consistent concessions outside of one vendor but there are plenty of choices a minute drive away. Spectator viewing has limited rain coverage.
This new park is so cool! I may have had more fun than the kid! So many different little play things all in one area, I love that they have signs for learning braille and sign language! It is wheelchair accessible to go up the ramps, no wasted space under the bridge there is monkey bars, very cool!
Accessible, very reasonable when it comes to entry fees, Very clean, well equipped, changing rooms and showers. Most importantly friendly staff. Love that place!
Great place to go for a walk along the river or swing the bat at the baseball cages. There often organized sports taking up most of the facilities but a lot of open fields to use for sports games and trails for walking and biking. In the summer you can rent kayaks and rafts etc (at the far end when you drive in) to float down the river to downtown and there is a shuttle provided to get you back. Also a good off leash area to walk the dogs and take them for a swim, I believe will be rezoned by the city soon so may not stay that way.
