I would not recommend buying used vehicles here or getting any repairs. They were very misleading especially with their fake mechanics inspection. I even had them fix a coolant leak and they did not do the job properly. They would’ve found a second leak. Very unhappy customer here. I gave one star only because It won’t let me post my review without it.

These are good guys. A lot of people be reviewing this dealership like their suppose to be getting a brand new vehicle. A used car dealer can only do so much to prevent you from getting a lemon. Just bought my 2017 g63 from them. Runs perfect but I’m sure itl need a few thousand in maintenance by the end of the year. No complaints here.

So I went to look at a 2014 x5 50i from these guys, at first I was skeptical especially after the no test drives unless buy policy, but it is understandable to prevent people from showing up and window shopping but working with Shayne and Leo the owner they were more then open to get a inspection done at Edmonton BMW, they took it there and got it done and the report came back with a broken PCV line. They repaired the PCV line at cost to them and a oil leak. During all this they allowed me to bring it into a shop that was out back and raised it up on the lift and let me take a complete look at the undercarriage and throughout the engine bay, they let me hook up my diagnostics computer to the vehicle and worked with me on a code and lowered the price. After all was complete they allowed me to test drive it and I had 0 concern with it. Since then Iv thrown 6k on the vehicle and have had no issues. These guys have bent over backwards for me and really appreciate the time they spent allowing me to do all of this. Feel free to give them a shout and I'm more then positive they are willing to work with you on getting a deal closed so both parties are happy. Thanks again Leo and Shane.

We were not impressed that we were asked to place $1000 deposit on a vehicle just to test drive it. We were very serious about purchasing but were shocked when we were told we had to place a deposit to test drive. That made our decision to purchase not here and purchased at a dealership that welcomed the test drive.

Leo knows good cars. Our families have done many deals here and have appreciated the advice and guidance with each one.

If i could give more stars i would, my experience at silverzinc motors was absolutely terrific! I came by in search of a 4 door luxury sedan and sales manager Rick, had shown me a beautiful variety of vehicles. As he briefly explained and elaborated on what options each car provides, we were able to track down exactly which car was best suitable for me. They have gone above and beyond to help me make a decision answering all my questions to their best of ability. 100% recommend silverzinc motors for anyone looking to purchase a luxury used vehicle. The transaction was smooth and the team made me feel at home. The detailer had done a great job making sure the car was in extreme perfect showroom condition before pick up, making sure the vehicle looked brand new. We were looking at an older '97 MB420. Salesman showed me the vehicle. Problems arose when I asked for a test drive. He declined because "it was too risky for the vehicle. Rock chip could damage the glass etc and they would have to fix it". I guess they expected me to buy a luxury car without test driving. That is very suspicious. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere. Don't recommend them.

I had a great experience working with Leo in selling one of my cars. I had initially tried selling on my own but found it challenging dealing with potential buyers who were not even serious and just trying to get a good deal. At that point I made the decision to give Silver Zinc a shot.
Leo set expectations from the very beginning on what he would sell the car for but also a price that I was comfortable with. At no point did he come back and ask me to sell the car for less. He ended up selling my car for what I wanted it for. Very professional company with great communication. Would definitely use them again!

We recently bought a first car for our daughter from Silverzinc Motors. Even though we were buying one of their lower end vehicles, Leo and Rick treated us the same as though we were buying a high end car. They were very honest about the history and Carfax, any flaws, and there was no high pressure sales tactics at all. My daughter also appreciated the fact that Leo spoke to her and seemed to value her opinion. It was a very positive experience unlike many other car dealers I have dealt with in the past.

I have recently made a move from Ontario to Calgary and had sold my cars in Ontario before leaving there. I wasnt really looking to replace them until I reached Calgary but saw an ad with the perfect car, with the perfect options and it was the perfect colour. It has actually been a dream to own a Mercedes just like this one. I contacted Silver Zinc via email from Ontario never thinking any more would come of it but i received a response from Shayne. It was a friendly, helpful response that spurred me on to take this further. My brother in law who lives near Silver Zinc went to talk with the staff and to see the car. He was impressed with the professionalism and service he received and so was I. I had a conversation with Leo about my inability to pick the car up for a few months and he was awesome and understanding. Needless to say, we struck a deal, i picked up the car 7 weeks later and I couldnt be happier. Shayne walked me through the finer points of my shiny new to me, dream Mercedes, made me feel very comfortable and excited about my purchase and I was on my way. Dealt with Leo for my sight unseen purchase of a BMW X6 from Silverzinc. Negotiations were seamless. Had the vehicle shipped down from Edmonton to Calgary by a third party shipping company, which Leo coordinated. The vehicle arrived in the exact condition Leo described it except for a wheel that was damaged in transit by the shipping company - which Leo also took care of. Will not hesitate to purchase another vehicle from Silverzinc.

We purchased a beautiful luxury vehicle here a year ago so we are able to share a more complete experience. Even though they are a smaller outfit, their inventory is impressive with a wide range of vehicles to choose from. Our vehicle history and condition was fully disclosed and the principle/owner (Leo) is a class act; experienced, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Purchasing a pre owned vehicle saved us huge money after a very easy and fair transaction. After sales service was also excellent as they offer full maintenance/repairs with competent technicians and reasonable rates (important when owning sophisticated luxury cars). We've owned over 20 different vehicles over the years dealing with various car industry outfits and Silverzinc is among the top of that list. Highly recommended.

This is the BEST experience buying a vehicle we have ever had. We would recommend them to everyone. We LOVE our new car. My husband bought a vehicle from them and has had nothing but problems with the car after we drove it off the lot. We came back multiple times and they would not honour anything. Of course they asked us to pay thousands of dollars to fix issues that were apparently non existent before we signed our name on it. They preached about how it passed quality inspection and told us how great and reliable the vehicle is. And now it’s an absolute lemon and they won’t fix it without us paying them an absurd amount of money.

Absolute shady business. I beg anyone who reads this to please do your research and I hope you don’t have to deal with what we are going through. Leo and Rick are the worst.

In the spring of last year, 2020, we purchased a BMW650i X drive from Leo at Silver Zinc Motors.
We had been looking for a while prior to discovering Silver Zinc, which specializes in recent model pre- owned luxury vehicles. They had a good selection, including exactly what we had been looking for, and were knowledgeable about all the models on the floor.
The service was excellent, there was honest representation and no pressure – and the prices were fair.
Leo definitely went above and beyond for us and came through on commitments made on the commitments he made. We are happy with the car and would definitely go there again if looking for another vehicle.

I bought a car here a couple months ago. They tell you the facts and disclose all information they have regarding the vehicle as well as their best price. No games, no BS. They even added in a few extras for me which the bigger dealerships would not even consider so big thanks to Shayne and the team! I have written very few reviews in the past but my experience with these gents was worth writing about. Would recommend them to anyone interested in buying a vehicle, trading one in, or getting their vehicle serviced. Many thanks guys!

Had a friend get scrammed by this company. They do not stand behind their products, will take your money and run. As you can read, there are many mixed reviews (and some fraudulent 5 star ratings), so please ask yourself if you are going to make a large investment such as a vehicle, why on earth would you go to a place with this type of feedback about it? Not worth the risk, don't get involved with this company and do the safe and smart thing to take your business elsewhere!

Great experience! I had never dealt with a dealership before and worked with an amazing broker, the first dealership was your typical slimy salesman and then he sent me to Silverzinc to see a mint condition 2012 RAV4. The guys were amazing to deal with, had the whole car detailed and are replacing the windshield at no cost. All maintenance was done on the vehicle and I’m very happy! Will definitely be a repeat customer.

2015 LEXUS RX450h - $45,000 in DAMAGES - BEWARE
This dealer currently has a vehicle I had inquired about.   Upon asking the history of the vehicle to see if I was interested further in coming to see it they communicated to me:
"Super clean and tidy BC unit.   Full Carvax Verified, fully inspected, lots of service history from dealerships.   Priced special at $29,500"

I was interested when hearing this and asked them to send me the CarFax report to review.   It is at this point I got suspicious as they failed to send it my way and simply said it is available.   They added "Clean History" to their comments but felt the need to indicate not salvage or rebuild.   Made me feel like there was more to the story.   I ended up securing the serial number on the vehicle and ran my own CarFax report.   You can imagine my surprise and disappointment when I saw the vehicle had actually originated from Manitoba which generally produces rougher vehicles.   Registered there for first 3 years.   Not quite what I expected following the "Super Clean and Tidy BC unit" comment.   The worst part however was the damage claims that the vehicle has when they told me it was "CarFax Verified" with "Clean History".   I guess this is car jargon to say they ran a report and it is not rebuilt. WOW - if over $45,000 in damage claims doesn't warrant an honest full disclosure I don't know what does.

When I expressed my disappointment this is when the salesmanship got laid on thick.   The owner LEO MAK emailed me back and essentially didn't address anything but certainly made his ego evident.   He made sure he emphasized his 20 plus years of experience, Sold thousands of cars site unseen as well as indicating he receives hundreds of email inquiries a month.    He also indicated he was working two deals on the vehicle right in the moment - one was walking through the door and the other ones over the phone.   BTW - this was 2 weeks ago and the Lexus is still there.   Oh Boy! Honestly from what he communicated I would think I was talking to the owner of a CarMax or AutoNation outlet in the United States

He then proceeded to indicate he felt that my simple request for information was "pre judging" and that he was then pre judging me.   I suppose when you ask for honesty and full disclosure from someone who does not have the capacity to do so it can feel like being pre-judged.   I simply asked for information to make an informed decision on whether this vehicle would be a candidate for me to pursue.   With today's information and data available this shouldn't have been an unreasonable request.   As far as pricing goes - the "priced special at $29,500" was actually $550 over their advertised price on their website.   Bit of a head scratcher there.

The final piece that was incredibly disappointing was Leo's attempt to explain a totally unrelated CarFax story about how he sold a Tacoma truck with a $15,000 accident that was not on the CarFax but he still disclosed it to the customer as he had prior knowledge of the vehicle.   He proceeded to tell me as a private shopper don't believe everything you see on a CarFax report.   I can only imagine this was an attempt to discredit CarFax while making himself out to be so honest that he even discloses he doesn't even need to.   Quite a sad effort to undermine the facts and discredit the hard truth that the vehicle has a huge damage history he had failed to disclose when asked.

I am going to challenge Mr Leo Mak to do the right thing and auction this vehicle off so a dealer who is willing and capable of disclosing the facts takes ownership of it.   Should this happen I will remove my review and chalk it up to growth and an oversight.   Should this not happen I will keep this review posted to warn others in the future on this vehicle and would also encourage others to add their experiences and stories.   If you have purchased a vehicle here please check for large damage histories that may have not been disclosed or have been downplayed.   Any instances of this should be communicated to Amvic.

Leo, Rick, Shayne.and I apologize as I am missing some of the other guys are real.not your typical salesmen driven by bonus pay structure. The SV Team will talk with you about the pros and cons to a brand, they will take in to consideration your needs and wants to find you the vehicle that will serve you best. My wife and I purchased our new VW Atlas from Leo and his team at Silverzinc this past Saturday. From the moment we called them about the listing to the time we drove off the lot with our new SUV I cant speak highly enough about our buy experience. Leo even went out of the way to answer questions via text or phone on his own personal time. Rick was also extremely helpful and customer focused. Jason was very prepared and professional when it came to the finance side of things. All in all a great buying experience which was nice considering we were coming from Calgary. Give this group the chance to get you into your next vehicle.

I'm certainly not a fan of dealerships and quite jaded to begin with. I read SilverZinc's review rating and made an appointment. Rick was my sales guy and he was super throrough. I wasn't quite sure what I was looking for but 10 minutes later we had a plan. It was a complicated one and that's when Leo stepped in. These guys looked after every element of the deal, helped me with window tint and 3M. The delivery date and time was spot on and the pricing was more competitive than anywhere in Alberta. I really recommend giving these guys a try.
