Simply Donairs

Usually the only place I trust given I don’t order donairs often, however found a hair in one today that was definitely not from my own household. Extremely disappointing.

Very disappointed with customer service and experience. My wife and I waited all evening to try Simply Donair. It was recommended to us and we rushed over there on a Friday night. Got there 12 minutes before closing. Staff were still there and standing at the till and the grill. But they had the door locked. I looked at the staff and they just had a blank look on their faces. I looked my watch and they still just stared. No explanation or apologies. I think it is very unprofessional to close your doors before your scheduled closing time. And with no regard for what they did. I will try Simply Donair again but never at that location. If they cannot respect their customers, they don’t deserve my business.

Drove 15 minutes across the city and arrived at 9: 40 to discover the place is closed. This has happened multiple times to me now otherwise I wouldn’t have bothered with a review. If you can’t stay open to the hours you’ve listed then change your hours so myself and the other people that show up to discover this surprise, dont consider making a trip within business hours when there’s a potential you might randomly decide to close early, when its much more logical to decide on a different place of business first.

But the girl working the counter - she had got to lighten up. Made me want to walk. And all I did was order some food.

Great donairs, one the five (5) best (along with the east side cousin) in the area. The chicken donair is the best around town in that category, with boneless thigh meat cooked to perfection. The owner is a great guy, working the shop with family help.

Best donairs in the edmonton area! Donair beef meat is delicious, ask for well done beef! Always worth the drive here

Sadly after coming here for so long since its first location to its now location. Having talked with the people working there many times. About cars evos subarus… i dont think ill be going back. After my experience today. Young kid working the front counter was very sassy at literally anything and everything we asked.couldnt even respond to us when making small talk. Would give more sass when we asked for our order to be in seperare bags.or when we wanted to eat our donairs here and our poutine at home.was very un friendly.a mistake happened when i asked for lettuce and mushrooms they ended up doing lettuce and onions.i cant eat onions.so i went back up and said im sorry i didnt order with onions.young man rolls eyes.they make it extremely fast to now the meat isnt cooked properly like it would be normally be if they took the time and didnt rush it.the attitude really makes me not come back now.been going here for years and ordering all the time. Sadly ill find a new place and tell people about it as much as i used to recommend simply.

Always 5! I took someone who swore another place was the best donair in the city. They never went back! Seriously good!
