Smith Bros.refinished the hardwood on the main floor and installed flush wood vents at the beginning of September, and we are very happy with the result. They are highly knowledgeable, and didn’t overcharge or try to upsell us. They have “seen it all” when it comes to dealing with wood flooring. The whole experience played out exactly like they said, and we’re confident that the end result will last a long time. Their trades guys were meticulous, patient, and didn’t rush. We hired Smith Bros.to replace the carpets on the second floor of our home with hardwood flooring during Summer 2023. Not only did they do a great job, they were professional from start to finish. They even modified the sequencing of the install to give us more time to complete some painting we were working on in the evenings, and to minimize the dust and disturbance to our master bedroom, as we wanted to keep sleeping there. Any time something unexpected came up, they made sure to talk us through the situation and the options.

TBH their sign made me think at first they were a funeral home! And just how INappropriate were the jokes! They are the best! We have to drive by every time we come to the city! If their products/workmanship is as good as the dad jokes, you can not go wrong with Smith Bros!

We had a great experience using Smith Brothers. Every person was professional and a joy to work with. They added some hardwood flooring to our home and then sanded and refinished it all. Shaun was very patient with me when I started second guessing the stain colour that I chose and came out a second time to show me my options. We are extremely pleased with the results and would recommend Smith Brothers to anyone in need of floor refinishing or new hardwood.

Dealing with Smith Bros. Floors was an absolute delight. The sales representative Scott was professional and timely. Daniel our installer demonstrated superior installation skills and a positive cordial attitude. Finally, the Service and logistics Manager Andrew was completely on top of things.

We had no knowledge of Smith Bros.before our two installation jobs (office and stairs) and picked them because they had been in business for a century. We thought they must do something right to be in business that long. It was a great hunch.

We purchased hardwood flooring from Smith Brothers a couple years ago and had an extremely positive experience with Rod. Our floor is 2.25" wide solid hickory, pre-finished natural, and we are very happy with it. It is not a very common local hardwood for folks to choose these days but we love it for the high contrast and high character in the wood, varying drastically from light cream to dark chocolate, without having an "orangish" look. We did the installation ourselves for our entire main floor and were looking for a quality product, sound advice and at a fair price. (We ended up getting all three!) We visited many stores in Calgary. This was early on in the pandemic and immediately felt at ease in the first minute speaking with Rod. Usually we felt the opposite at other stores! I could not imagine a better experience than what my wife and I had with Rod at Smith Bros.

Smith Bros.did an excellent job with our LVP floor installation. Scott came in after contacting them for a quote for measurements and brought samples based on our preferred color. He was very transparent and offered advice on how to minimize cost. The installation was done to our satisfaction.
Thanks Scott and Andrew, and they even gave us a free floor maintenance kit.
