This is our go-to place for brunch. They always remember us, service is quick and the food is good.

I don’t usually make reviews but today I just had to, so I came to Edmonton for the first time and while at my hotel I decided to order breakfast, while scrolling on skip the dishes I saw smitty’s and decided to try their breakfast and I must say it’s the best decision ever, It was so good, everything is delicious, As a person raise in the Caribbean I thought for a moment it was my grandmother who made that breakfast, Listen Smithy’s family restaurant I will recommend the whole world to you. Can’t wait to get back to Edmonton and directly come at the restaurant. I LOVE IT

Located on the west side at the Travelodge inn. The restaurant was very clean, the staff was nice and the good was good too. The Smitty's in Northgate is still by far my favorite.
This place definitely got some pointers for cleanliness there is parking that is shared with the travelodge. Handicap accessible parking and entrance available. To bad there wasn't a lounge either

Fast, attentive;the food is very generous, filling; the seating is spacious. It is quiet, did not wait long to be seated. Very kid friendly, our little ones were satisfied (only the square hasbrowns were not appeasing to our littles, hence the 4 stars)

I'm not sure why this place does not have 5 stars.this is our go to breakfast restaurant.the food is always great, place is clean and service fast.great customer service too.prices are reasonable.

This place gave me food poisoning this weekend, ordered beef nachos and the beef is what made me sick. I’m so sick right now! And I asked for a Long Island and they said they only make simple drinks. What?
I’m really mad at myself for even eating it. Now I’m sick on the long weekend! Thanks!
I love smittys but not this location.

When we went here, it was a hot day. The restaurant did not have any air conditioning.
Broken maybe?

We were very hungry and decided to stay despite the temperatures.

Good value of food quantity for the price.
Food came out quick.

The Alfredo tasted old, and overall was very dry clumpy and chewy.

Would recommend eating at another Smitty location.

I LOVE Smitty's breakfast. This location is very dirty and has no air conditioning. It was so dirty everything was sticky. Made it hard to enjoy. I will stick with the Manning location.

The breakfast was good and servicer was nice and attentive. But the end they said their debit wasn’t working because it can’t connect to the wifi. So they say use the atm and it charges $3 per transaction. They got less of a tip because of that. I understand places are somewhat desperate for business and wouldn’t tell customers that when they come in, but it seems kind of dishonest to expect everyone to just be ok with that.

I love this place! Not only the food is delicious, the staff is very friendly.
You should definitely try the eggs Benedict, they are the best!
Also the coffee Is really good

RON shouldn't have a job there he's the most unprofessional person I know he has so many complaints towards him but yet still not let go. Even the people he hires can't even cook or have good customer service the man is completely uslesss. I've heard some really really disturbing things about this location who ever is in charge of hiring Ron for the sake of Smittys let him go.

My eggs were ordered over easy looked like they were not even flipped very runny. My hashbrowns were shredded raw tasting. Nothing's

I am very upset with my experience and will regret my life that I ever visited this restaurant.
I was staying at the hotel travel lodge and ordered my daily break fast from smitty's. On my second day, the manager name RON, took my order and provided me my food with some pan cakes missing. I went to hotel room and realized my order was incomplete so, I came back and requested him to give me what was missing. I was shocked to see his behaviour on this. I was expecting an apology but instead he started confronting with me and yelling at me. He started blaming me when I showed him his menu card and tried to remind him what I actually ordered. Not just this but he also intimated me and tried to show me as I was lying. I mean who does that to customer. I have never seen some one yelling and swearing at customers like that.
I have never been humiliated in my life like this before therefore, I left the food on their counter walked away without even getting any refund. I would never ever recommend this restaurant to anyone specially if this person is on duty. Also, bring this to the owner's attention to change the manager or train their staff some business ethics and professionalism if they want their business to be in the market.

They discriminate against people with mask exemptions and will only allow you to order for pick up. Back of the bus to the disenfranchised!

Typical corporate chain slop. Overpriced for the quality of food you get. And$3.35 for a coffee? They said you could drink all day for that. If only you could get service after your 2nd cup.

Not impressed with service at all. Called to let a manager know that i was not happy woth my soggy food and that i had recieved the wrong order upon picking up only to be argued with and told thats the way they do things. Definitely will not be eating here again.

Will not eat here again. Food tasted disgusting. Corn with the meal was bland as well as the mashed potatoes tasted weird. I ordered the turkey dinner and only was able to stand eating the pieces of turkey. Even the cranberry was watery. The juice I ordered with the meal had stuff floating in the bottom.

We had to help ourselves to menus and cutlery, seat ourselves and wait 10 min for someone to ask if we wanted coffee. When the food came it was ice cold and we were told they would tell the kitchen.will never eat here again.rating should be -4

Came here twice. Once right before closing and they were very nice, food was good and they were very accommodating and super friendly with my daughter. The next morning we came back and the service was TERRIBLE! A man (who I'm assuming was a manager being he wasnt wearing a smitty's shirt) was more concerned about talking to the other server than actually serving customers. I actually had to ask him across the dining room to even take my order. Food was good but the lack of service left a really bad taste in my mouth.

It's not very often i give a tip but i did here. My wife and i went out for Sunday breakfast the place was clean the food was good but the service was out standing our waitress was kind she always smiled and kept asking if we wanted more coffee. We used to go somewhere else because we live on the south side of Edmonton but i will make the drive to eat here mostly because of our waitress i think her name was Evangeline very nice person.

Very clean inside the restaurant, excellent service, delicious food. The cinnamon swirl pancakes are magical.

Buffet was alright, shocked to see 4 bucks for a coffee, 5 bucks for a lrg orange juice, for 2 ppl, 42 bucks for breakfast is insane

For the price this place is excellent! Service is usually very good, and the food is good. My go to family restaurant.

We have frequented the Calgary Smitty's buffet and were happy to find that an Edmonton Smitty's breakfast buffet. Saying that, the quality of the Edmonton buffet was mediocre. None of the food was hot, it was barely warm. The selection was bland and uninteresting overall. We were very disappointed. The price is $15.99 per person, and that is very steep for what is offered.

This restraunt didn't have eggs benny or potato casserole which were the best items at the buffet in Calgary. The food here was cold and not very good. We finished out plates paid the bill and went elsewhere for breakfast.

The buffet is terrible. You can tell the food has been sitting there for a very long time. The omelette, pancakes, French toast and waffle were all extremely hard. Not worth the price!

Breakfast was good, fast, service was excellent. They also told me that they have brought back their Haddock fish that they batter right at the restaurant. They quit doing it and brought in frozen fish which was horrible. So we quit going there. We will go back now for fish and chip night on Wed.

Lunch was ordered from this location and the portions were sad. THANKS FOR THE HAIR! The soggy chicken sandwich looks like it was sat on. The management should be embarrassed and the kitchen staff must have no self respect. I'm attaching photos because I would find this hard to believe after past good experiences.

Prompt service and seated without any delays. Even with waitress training someone at the same time service was excellent. Given as long as I wanted to finish my meal and have another coffee. Never felt rushed or made to think I was taking too long to leave. Recommend this location highly and wouldn't hesitate to go back

First off, was not greeted at door. Secondly we waited 10 minutes to sit. At a table that wasnt cleaned. None of them were. They "bussed" the table as we arrived. My cousins side was wet and sticky and WE ended up asking for a cloth from the server (when we found her) to wipe it. They said they were busy their third day in a row. No excuse for poor sanitary conditions. Very dissatisfied with every aspect of our experience. Awful establishment. Go eat at a take out across the street someplace unless you have to stay here at the hotel. They are overpriced for what you get. Half the stuff we wanted to order they were "out" of.

Really enjoyed my visit to the restaurant. The waitress was really friendly and attentive. My meal came quickly so i had time to enjoy it.

Great service. Great food.

The manager was out on the floor checking on customers personally and making sure they were getting great service.

You just don't see that kind of attentive service anymore. We will be return customers.

I would prefer to give them no stars.
We went to the west end Travelodge Smith's under the impression the 'kids eat free' with the purchase of an adult entree.
We order three entrees and three kids meals.
First the eggs were gross and we were given new ones which still had an odd taste.
And we all ordered water with our food because it's hot out.
They would not honor the kids eat free because we choose water instead of pop!
Again this was not once mentioned to us when we ordered only after we were done. And we had to ask for the desert that goes with the kids meals.
This bill ended up being 80+ dollars because they never said water didn't count as a beverage and last time I checked it was a drink you have with your meal.
I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS WEST END TRAVELODGE SMITTYS.
I WILL FOREVER GIVE A BAD REVIEW.
I AM SO ANGRY I SPENT THAT MONEY THERE AND I WOULD HAVE GONE SOMEWHERE ELSE TO SPEND 80 PLUS DOLLARS.
They do not honour what they advertise. This is not a family restaurant. The lady who rang us in and informed us of this was rude and arrogant.

Every time we visit, the service and food is amazing. Very fast and delicious. The place is very clean, including the bathrooms. This is definitely my new favourite restaurant.

Excellent service and buffet was good, just overpriced but all smittys are. Would definitely go again even just for the waitress' service

The staff are very friendly and quick to seat and serve you. The food is always very tasty and hot when it’s served. The breakfast buffet served on Saturday and Sunday morning has a great variety to choose from. The wing Wednesday’s are awesome too, you get to choose from a variety of flavours at a very reasonable price. This is always my number 1 go to place for breakfast. The manager Ron runs his restaurant with the highest regard for his customers and I have found that if you are a regular customer the manager gets to know you by name. Love this location of Smitty’s

This was our favourite Smitty's, however we will not be returning. Our food was over cooked and missing ingredients. We ordered a spinach dip which came with enough chips to eat half the dip. When I requested more chips I was met with a blank stare. Approximately 20 mins later we were brought about 20 more chips to finish our now cold dip. At this point we had already finished our dinner. When we got our bill I was mind blown to see I was charged$3.00 for more ships that should have come with our meal in the first place. In all I was very disappointed by this experience and will not be back.

It's a Smitty's. I wouldn't actively seek out food from here, but it's also not a bad place to go and grab a bite to eat.

From someone who went to college for baking some advice.hire a real baker these blueberry muffins are baked wrong on a few levels to sweet to over filled, was stale and party dry.

Had the Wednesday special, one pound of chicken wings for $3.99. The wings were great, and the price is outstanding
