Such a great experience to see the Rockies in a hands on way with a long term Canmore trusted business. Take the opportunity to book a 'Ride your own sled' package! My niece loved it and for me it was a renewed reminder as to what great activities we have to enjoy nature in Canmore.

The scenery was spectacular, beautiful. But the dogs, they were amazing. So well cared for and happy. Very skilled and well trained. They have jobs, and they appear to love doing their job, running together. The tour guides are informative, knowledgeable; take good care of the dogs and you! Petting the dogs was the best part of the whole experience for me. Absolutely worth every penny.

The guide was awesome, and the dogs were incredible. Great coaching with the self driven sleds throughout the entire adventure.

The whole experience was amazing! The bus ride up and down was fun, the driver was really entertaining. We got to meet the dogs before we left and say bye once we were done and they're all so cute and fluffy. One of our dogs was from Togo, the Disney movie, and listened pretty good!
My fiancé and I did the self driving one and had a blast. Our guide was great and took good care of us making sure we were safe. They took some pictures and it came out nice.
Also offered hot apple cider with brownies at the end which was a nice ending touch.
Overall recommend this sled dog tour! The staff was very nice and knowledgeable and responded quickly with emails.

Our day started with a “meet and greet” of the dogs who would be pulling our cart. These were all lovely, friendly animals, and you could see their joy and eagerness to get out on the trail with us and start running. The trail saw us take a couple of breaks to give the dogs a breather, with one stop to view and feed some bison. After the carting was done, we got to thank these beautiful dogs, and help to feed them a special recovery meal. We had a great time, thanks to the wonderful team who look after these gorgeous dogs, and in particular, our fabulous driver, Matt. Highly recommend this as a must do activity.

We had a great morning, with full immersion with the dogs. We loved on them, then had 12 beauties take us through the woods. After the exhilarating ride and visit with the bison, we were back. But the fun didn't end there. We were taught how to harness and"soup" the dogs, and got more loving time. Our musher was great, but I have to say, my heart was all about the dogs and adventure! This is a must do!

Staff do not seem to treat the dogs well

Edit in response to owner - it’s hilarious how all negative reviews are “baseless” and all positive reviews are “legitimate” to you. Really shows how this business is run. Weren’t you recently forced to issue a public apology when your staff were caught abusing dogs on camera? I guess nothing has changed.

A must do if you’re in the area. We did the summer carting and kennel tour and both activities were just simply amazing. All 170+ dogs are very clearly loved and cared for so well, and they get to do what they love best: RUN! Some of the sweetest, most loving dogs you could ever meet.
The team know their stuff and clearly care very much for the well-being and health of these dogs. They did everything they could to make this the best experience for us. It’s been a few hours since I did this and I’m still in absolute awe of the whole operation.
Seriously, don’t even think about it, just book some time in with these amazing dogs and people!

Had the most fantastic day with the Husky Heroes and the wonderful folks who run Snowy Owl. I did the summer carting in the morning and the kennel tour in the afternoon, and I highly recommend that anyone reading this also does both. The carting was a blast, and the kennel tour gave fascinating insight into how the dogs are cared for. All of the Snowy Owl staff we interacted with were very welcoming and friendly - special thanks to Tanner and Matt, who were our guides for the carting and kennel tour, respectively. The dogs are extremely well treated and cared for by the staff, who put a huge amount of love and effort into what they do. Thanks again to everyone (furry or otherwise!) at Snowy Owl and hope to see you again someday:)

The summer tour was pretty fun. I would say that it's a little pricey for what you get but we are totally glad we went. I love dogs and they were all so sweet, even the nervous ones really wanted to be pet. So I went and pet each one twice. There were 48 dogs out at the time. We fed them water and treats. The bison were a nice little surprise. I'm sure that the snow sledding with the dogs would be definitely worth the price for sure. And would definitely do in another trip. Everyone was nice and answered all our questions.

We had an amazing time meeting the dogs and getting a carriage ride from them in the summer time! Our musher was the best! Thank you!

Absolutely PHENOMENAL experience! These dogs are amazing, and getting to be hands-on with them was TRULY special! The facility is fantastic, and the care they receive is top-notch! The staff was absolutely terrific!

What an unforgettable experience, I highly recommend this for any animal lover. We went on the Summer Adventure Dog Cart Tour. Worth every penny! The dogs are so lovely and friendly and the workers are very knowledgeable and have a genuine care for the dogs.

We went as a family and had brilliant fun. The scenery was exceptional and the rapids were great fun. The guide/ instructor was exceptional and really friendly! Would highly recommend to anyone
