I have been going to this store for a while now as I live nearby. The employees at customer service have been really rude. Have a nasty attitude and never have a smile on their face. Customer service isn't a hard job I have done it for years.
Dosn't matter how hard your day is going you put a smile on your face and say have a great day. But every encounter I have had with the employees at the customer service counter has been really awful those couple people are the face of the store standing there and they are ruining the shopping experience so much so that I may have to shop somewhere else.
Eight years ago I usually come to this Sobey’s store because I was just working with in the vicinity of the mall but I saw a huge difference from before and now. The the grocery store right now is already been renovated and looks like there’s a really good option and selection for deli section
Today just bought vegetarian California sushi. Unfortunately the avocado was so unripe that it was harder than the carrot. . A week later I tried it again and it was much better, thank you!
It is a lot place to shop. The ambiance is good, the price is competitive. I found more than I bargain for. I will be back.
For those coming from another country, you know the saying or may have been ask the question, how foreign? Or is there anywhere you can consider foreign? This place looks super different. It look like foreign.
Great place, they are doing some renovations at the moment so it's a little rearranged and not running at full capacity yet but service is great and staff are friendly and helpful
I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to the pharmacist that was working May 15,2021 at 3 PM. I didn't catch his name but he gave me my COVID shot. He was very kind and detailed in explaining the process. Much appreciated.
I absolutely love coming here. It is close to my home, they have quality produce and the staff are always super pleasant to talk to. Also the hours are a total plus!
The Sushi is pretty good. The deli is not bad either. I sometimes prefer shopping here over the superstore because it is smaller. The prices are inflated over superstore prices however.
Pretty, pretty good! Used to be open 24 hours, which was amazing, but no longer since Covid hit. Maybe it will go back one day. In the summer months, there is an amazing plant nursery that sets up shop outside - fantastic! And on a humorous note, I once saw a man running out of the store with chicken legs falling out of his coat.as in raw, unwrapped chicken legs. He must have opened up the package and shoved them inside his coat again at his body. Christ! And as he ran out the store, he left a trail of chicken legs in his wake. So, if you’re in the market for stealing chicken legs, this is your store!
I used to line my garbage cans with your grocery bags. Now i purchase bags that contain twice as much plastic and carry them home in other bags in order to line the garbages all in the name of "reducing plastic waste"
Nice enough grocery store. I found a piece of chewd up mint gum in my french loaf one year and the bakery manager said it was grease from a machine. It was clearly gum and still smelled minty. The staff are young and they all say "Have a good one".
No requirement for masks. This is not acceptable. Even if it's not mandated a business can make their employees wear masks. The produce was horrible. Blueberries were moldy. I will not be shopping there anymore. It's not safe.
I love this store and the personal service is bar none the best ever. Justin made my day by asking what I'd like to see in the gluten free section as a consumer, and is bringing in products that I can't get at other stores. I feel personally taken care of at this store and the staff has been absolutely amazing during this time.
They need to fix their dairy fridge doors. This is the third time I've had milk/cream go bad before the best before date, and I suspect it's because the doors won't close properly when people let them swing shut.
I wouldn't go to this store a this moment. They are hiding all sanitizers at the till so poeple don't use them. Go to co op instead they offer sanitizers to customers
I wouldn't make this my regular supermarket. Choice in products is limited and produce don't always seem too fresh. Price point is higher than Superstore or Walmart. That being said, the Country Hills location is open 24/7. So it's great for when it's 11: 00 pm and you remember you need milk, toast or let's say snacks for your kid's school party the next day!
And surprisingly, the pricing is actually decent, and the quality is pretty good. Hard to Beleive the same company runs Safeway, an overpriced disaster of often spoiling food. But this Sobeyss is very good. Selection is a bit smim in variety, but what they have is value.
I usually sit in the parking lot while my wife shops here. Good thing because the last time we were here we were hit by an F-150 that was parked beside us and drove out of his spot at too much of an angle.oops!
Parking lot is never busy and the store is rarely packed, even on the weekend. The selection is certainly more limited than some larger grocery stores, but being able to avoid the chaos of those stores is well worth it. Their isle labelling however, is a nightmare. You will only know that Mexican food is in an aisle if you happen to be at the front of the store, because the back row signage lists completely different items!
