Sobeys - Cold Lake

Should teach your employees to not touch personal belongings. A cashier decided to pull my debit card out of the machine while I was bagging my groceries. She had to wait two more seconds and I would have done it myself. This isn’t the first time this cashier has been rude towards me.
Was there about a week ago to get donuts and they tasted like they’ve been sitting out for two days.

Expensive. Nice that you don't have to pay for the buggies. Don't like the new rewards program

More expensive than no frills however meat price is ok. Have his own bakery so always fresh baked products

Expensive, but that's the area now. Clean store, cashiers are polite but rarely enough of them.

I’ve been using sobeys for years because of the freshness I expect to get, and yes, We pay extra for this, unfortunately lately, can’t even get a loaf of fresh bread off the shelf without it being a day or up to 3 days old? I went shopping the other day to make my mom her 81 birthday dinner, and I usually do check best before dates, but did not on one particular item till I got home. It was a prepacked scallop potatoes, didn’t think I had to worry about a best before date, how wrong I was, it had expired it’s best before date 5 days earlier, so much for my moms birthday dinner. So it’s not only bread, you can’t get fresh. There were also cupcakes on shelf that had out lived there best before dates. I mite as well go back to shopping at no frills or Walmart where I don’t expect to get fresh, and is cheaper!

I had worked there for only 3 weeks because I could not stay any longer. I had family members pass away back to back and my supervisor G (won’t be named) had gotten upset because I asked for one extra day off on top of my two days already scheduled off. To plan funerals. They were not empathetic and only cared for when shifts were covered. They do not take good care of employees. Which is why I quit. Plus the racism. Very hostile work environment.

Their selection of produce and goods are really good, everything you might need are expected to be there available for you. The downside maybe their prices are on the expensive side but other than that, they're good.

Staff are mostly great and polite but one supervisor from grocery shouted at the cashier for asking help in bagging during rush hour. I think thats unprofessional. Food are expensive

I would like to thank all the employees involved in helping me (from BC) arrange a Birthday cake and flowers be delivered to my daughter (in Cold Lake) my grandson (7years old) was heart broken he didn’t have a present for his Mum! So the message written on the cake was Happy Birthday Mum love Wesley! He later told me the cake was beautiful! The effort by all involved is beyond appreciated! Thank you!

Love the fresh baked items done in store love the hot food counter and the store always has a good selection of all kinds of grocery items but daaaam their prices are higher overall on a lot of them.

Attitude of the produce worker was pathetic like yes I grabbed a plastic bag and didn't reopen the other bag so sorry but I am not touching another bag like so sorry that it's your job but I am oil field anyone want dirty oil field hands on their plastic bags for fruit and veggies I think not like so sorry that you do it because it's your job.
