Karen on till 5 at 6pm was absolutely lovely! Complete gem to talk to and really brightened our day. We were also helped by a very friendly gentleman who was re-stocking snacks near the pretzels I just didn’t catch his name
Have been coming to this location for over a decade and have almost always had great experiences! Recently had a less than great experience, but the store manager went above and beyond expectations to make it right, and to ensure that we were happy. As a long time customer, it’s definitely a great feeling!
The store is always clean and usually has everything in stock. Great for a one stop shop!
Thank you so much again, we really appreciate the generosity, and willingness to make the situation right. Love the store and the new renovations!
Very nice and clean, and the staff are very pleasant to interact with, especially the cashiers:) There was one boy in particular who was kind enough to help me find some of my groceries.
My favourite grocery store. It’s out of the way for me but worth it every time. Lots of stuff for a vegan and lots of variety of meats for my dog. Bison lamb and the regular. Friendly staff and friendly customers. It was a great time. Always worth the drive.
I would frequent this store a lot as I live a block away. It used to be my favorite grocery store to go to until today. I have never felt so humiliated in my life. I had an unknown payment come out of my account so I thought I had enough money to cover my bill. My card declined so I was confused as to why and said to the cashier if she could take the next person while I go check my bank account in my phone. She glared at me and said "I can't take the next person until you pay! " Well I am sorry chicky but I've worked in a grocery store for many years and I know yes you can suspend a transaction and take your next customer so then of course everyone is looking to see what the hold up is and your glaring at me and I say sorry I guess it will have to be all put back I was so ashamed and made even more so embarrassed by your rude employee. She then watches me unpack everything out of my reusable bag and so do the people in the line not a sole offered to help just stares. Never will I be coming back here now.
Shoutout to Karen - my family always looks forward to seeing her on our shopping trips. Friendly staff, clean store. The last couple years we have been having more food items turn out bad once getting home. Quality of produce is not good - why shelve something that's already mouldy? Shelves need to be checked for expired dates more especially in vegetarian items.
Very hard to find what you are looking for in the meat area. Things are just thrown together and you have to dig for what you are looking. While regular prices are just missing and the product in the frozen section have no organization so. If you rely on just grabbing whats under the lable, you are most likey to grab the type of procduct but not the correct flavour. Super disappointed as their renovations are wraping up and this seems the normal now.
November 14,2021 the store is currently undergoing renovations but is still open during the changes. Mostly a facelift with some new fridges and freezers. Still a great store to shop at with good sales and reasonable prices.
Sobeys is a grocery store, nothing mysterious here. It’s one of their best locations. As part of the store there is a post office and a pharmacy also. A lot of extras at this location so the vibe is upscale. It’s well lit and clean. Prices are reasonable and the store is easy to get around in. Staff is friendly and courteous.
In the middle of construction outside and inside. Found some great sales. Store is clean and will, no doubt, be bright and modern when renovations are done. Check out was quick and courteous.
Bought a slab cake for my sons 8th birthday. The cake looked nice but the layers of icing in the cake were frozen and icy. The cake layers were also very cold like the whole cake was frozen prior to icing the outside. No one enjoyed it and I threw almost all of it out.
Did shopping at this location on March 15,2020 (COVID-19 Pandemic). Sobey's shamefully price gouged many items in the store. Kraft Peanut butter for example $14.99 for a large jar. I can get that a Costco or Superstore for $7.99.
So you exploit people during a crisis. Well when times are good again, and they will be. The last place I'll shop is Sobey's or Safeway. Now that your one big happy family, you can both burn in hell.
I am one of your customers and I wanted to say that your store is one of the cleanest stores in the area. I am also very happy with the customer service. Thank you Sobeys- Hollick Kenyon.
Clean, not busy, good signage on floor. Enforcing one ways. Practicing social distancing & people limits. Can sanitize my hands coming & going. Lottery booth was closed.: ( Can bring your own bags or purchase there.
Very good service, one of the only stores left where if unable to find an item there is always a staff member to ask close at hand. Clean, well keep store, adequately stocked. Con: Groceries cost more than that of the larger stores.
Had a poor experience with the cashier Cheryl. Very rude and I personally think she was racist because she was kind to all the white customers until we came to her register. We had no confrontation because we’re not argumentative people, because we are maintaining social distancing, and because we have dealt with racism all our lives. She was just really mean to us based on who we were. Really unfortunate and made us feel horrible for the rest of the day. We spend a lot at Sobeys frequently. It also wasn’t your average tired worker especially in this pandemic. She was being a bully.
The rest of the staff were kind today and always are.
This is a mid scale version of the sobeys brand. Decent selection of goods, welcoming and friendly staff. Always seems to be well upkept in regards to cleanliness. Location is premium right off of 167ave. Sobeys prices leave something to be desired, as well as they are purveyors of self check out.
This store is always clean and the staff always friendly. They are innovators and leaders and very involved in the community. The first to donate hot dogs or buns for fundraisers.
Pathetic. Brown paper bags that rip and send all your groceries to the ground. Packages break open and I just wasted my money. Will never buy groceries from sobeys again. Also great price on your rotten strawberries.
Great Value on Ground Beef, Frozen Vegetables, Frozen Polish foods and drinks. It's not like No Frills, but unlike the No Frills no name products, Sobeys uses top brand names and sells them competitively. My only pet peace is that in the 90s we had paper bags that were thick and durable, while these days, these paper bags barely carry 2lbs before they tear.
The smell of freshly baked pastries, baked goods, and fresh vegetables as you walk in is always a good thing. Great staff behind the tills and never seems to be rushed or pushed out of the way. Every one is always friendly and willing to help.
There every Saturday. Clean, fully stocked and my wife and I always go through the same til, usually #3 or #4 where the cashier is extremely kind and a pleasure to see every Saturday.
Had the worst experience by all the cashiers and customer services who love to gossip about what they don’t know and like to know the truth, when talking to KIM the manager she passed the phone call to her assistance so she could hide like a, thanks for you concern but should get the facts right with themselves and employees, buyer be aware when shopping
I stopped off at this location a few times a week, especially for the post office. The lady who works there and is extremely efficient, friendly and the lineups usually aren't too bad in the morning. They always have what I'm looking for, prices are a little high but that's to be expected. Glad that we have so many options in our community. They have a great selection of ready to go meal ideas, the best of all the other stores around:)
Very consistent store, always clean, the staff is friendly and the cashiers aren't zombies and the actually seem like they don't hate it there, as sobeys it's slightly more expensive than the no frills up the street, but their produce and meats are 100% better

Basic grocery store. But much variety of wrapping for their flowers though they do have decent selection. The hot food area has decent selection as well. Free parking. They have okay sales.
Most helpful staff anywhere. Not one dept that does not make time to cater to your needs. Huge selection of FRESH produce and Deli items. Great use of small footprint.
