Great place, been several times.

More recently, I went there when it was busy, but ended up leaving because no one attended to us at the front.

Several staff walked by without acknowledging us. Even a simple “we’ll be right with you” would’ve been sufficient.

Just experienced Socrates' Christmas buffet. All 3 of us said it was the best buffet in Edmonton. All dishes were very tasty, presented well and they were never short of any item. Very clean venue and super friendly staff.
Good value for the price of $45.

We had reservations for their Weekend Christmas Dinner Buffet. Selection was huge and amazing. Every item was fresh and delicious. Even desserts were so fresh that the whipped cream on the pie didn’t have the dried crust that you’d expect from a buffet. Excellent value for the price.

Excellent meals. Great at accommodating a large group. Popular location. Parking is hard to find when it's busy.

I took my mom in for breakfast, and the food was really good, and our server Sabrina amazing, she was very helpful with gluten-free items, and so friendly. I will definitely recommend this restaurant for its friendly service and great food.

Went 2 days in a row. First day was a Sunday and it was super fast service and a very busy restaurant. Everything was great so we went back the next day. Second day was a Monday, our eggs were undercooked. When the sever finally came back around to ask how everything was I asked what we need to ask for when we order next time to have them cooked more.after showing the waitress the slimy bits, she said over medium. But that’s what we told her when we ordered initially but for some reason she said she wrote down over easy when she checked her pad. And I know we asked for over medium because wherever we go for breakfast at various places we always order over medium eggs for years now so I’m not sure what happened there… she asked if we wanted them remade but at that point we were basically finished so we declined. Eggs were a little slimy in some spots and not as hard on the bottom as we normally like. The table beside us said over easy when they ordered before us so maybe she was confused, I’m not sure wasn’t as busy on the Monday though

The festive buffet special that they are running for like 5 weeks. Is the best bang for your buck anywhere.
The food is top quality, service top quality. It's like eating at home with moms cooking. The turkey and roast beef seasoned to perfection, as well as all other dishes. Been 2x buffet and very satisfied also go during regular hours for menu items.
Support local and good quality food.
Remember good quality food isn't cheap.so you may pay couple dollars more per plate but I guarantee the quality and the size you receive is well worth it.
Highly recommend trying this place for either there breakfast or a really good burger

Great service! A different take on shredded hashbrowns which were very good. Socrates used to be a favourite of mine many years ago before we moved away, now that we're back it will be a regular stop.

The food came in a timely manner and well well prepared. You're definitely getting a full size meal for your buck

The catering is top notch, i couldn’t believe how meticulous the platters were for an event.

The bathroom smelled like rotting fish. Too bad I used it before eating breakfast, and it turned me off. Breakfast hashbrowns are not the regular shredded kind. They are more like small end of macdonld fries and just as salty.
