We received a tour of the SoDo tower. The tour was conducted by Marger and he was comprehensive, professional and friendly.

Going on my second year of living here and I can’t say I have any regrets!
Management are always kind, professional and responsive. Security has always been more than helpful and always present for every situation. Maintenance is great and responsive. Elevators are efficient. Ammenities are always clean and maintained. The building is interactive with monthly contests and free yoga during the summer!

Zana has great to work with, extremely professional provided us with all the information we needed. Building is great and the units are beautuful.

Very disappointed in the building. Here's why:

1. The AC is terrible. My unit got down to around 25 in the summer at that was it. I was told to just close all my blinds full time and hope it cooled down. Floor-to-ceiling windows and a corner view of downtown aren't much of a selling feature if you can't enjoy them. I tried though, and it barely helped. Still ended up using portable fans to make it more comfortable. A basement unit would have been more comfortable.

2. Its loud - even 34 floors up, the freight trains constantly woke me up at night. I don't think I slept through the night the whole time I lived in SODO.

3. The bedrooms don't have blackout blinds. They're the same as in the living room and barely filter the light. I ended up buying paper blinds from the Home Depot so that I could sleep.

4. No free guest parking (and parking isn't cheap).

5. Even though its staffed, there's no concierge/doorperson. If you're not home to sign for a package, for example, it won't be delivered.

That said, the maintenance and security staff are excellent and super pleasant, and the rest are pleasant as well. I think everyone tries, but the fact is that they have to work with a building that isn't up to par. There are plenty of condos with units for rent in buildings like the Calla, the Royal, the Montana, etc.within a few blocks that are a better quality and offer better value for money.

I am Rohit and living in this building since Oct-2019. I must say this is one of the best residence building I have ever lived or known. I want to mention that in this last 3 Year 6 months i have never seen that my any issue request took more than 24 hour. Sodo office folks are amazing, You just need to go to office and talk to them. They always treat like family and understand concerns. Have never seen any loopholes holes or any thing in the security, quality, amazing 5th floor park, gym, crowd and cleaning. I must say this is like 5 star hotel property. And special thanks to Zana Luckin (property manager) for always understanding concerns and prompt help and response. Kudos to you sodo and Zana for being so awesome.

We moved into the building in December, and have been so happy with our choice to do so. From the first moment of meeting Joy our leasing manager, she took the time to lead us through 3 different units within our budget answering all questions thoroughly and giving us a tour of all the amenities. She even provided snacks for the tour which was a nice touch! She was a huge reason for us moving into the building as she made us feel welcome and well looked after. She’s been available since move in with help booking elevator multiple days, helping us with parking, she’s gone above and beyond and we love seeing her friendly face in the lobby.

Our unit is very spacious, was VERY clean when we moved in, the gym is great, there’s a lounge/games room as well as a hosting kitchen which is fully equipped as well. The dog wash is super handy as we have two dogs, and the dog area terrace on floor 5 has made the condo life transition easier for our dogs. Maintenance staff is always so kind to say a hello, common areas are always kept very clean and if there’s ever an issue with an elevator they let you know ahead of time if it’ll be down with continued updates. The parcel locker seems very safe and we haven’t had any issues retrieving our mail/packages. We are very happy we moved into SODO and plan to be here quite awhile!

We currently rent a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit which is very spacious and has everything we need. The amenities are a great addition for us as there is a well equipped gym, lounge area, games room and host kitchen for parties if we so need it. The lobby is very clean and well maintained at all times as well as the parcel room system they have is very reliable and we’ve had no issues getting mail/packages. The real win for us that sold us to moving into SODO was our leasing manager Joy, she gave us a great tour of 3 different units within our budget and answered all questions patiently and thoroughly. She even provided snacks along the tour! Joy is such a breath of fresh air in regards to “sales” people, she wasn’t pushy at all and just wanted us to find the right fit for us. We love seeing her in the building always smiling! Last note, if you have dogs I’d definitely recommend SODO as there’s a dog wash, as well as a dog area on the terrace on floor 5 which is gated and very handy to let our dogs run around/go to the bathroom.

Would definitely recommend Sodo!

I really cannot understand all the bad reviews. I have lived here for a while and only have had wonderful experiences. The building, location and suites are gorgeous! The staff here are so amazing…even when you need support, they are always there and promptly help! Joy is fabulous and Zana had been so accommodating with my late rent payments! I am so grateful for them!

My experience at SODO has been great since the beginning. After checking many apartments in the market, I went for this one because of the layout and the price. The rooms are big and the view is stunning, plus the building has a nice gym with enough equipment.

What’s more, Joy, the assistant community manager, has been incredibly helpful and accesible, taking me through every single detail about moving in and quickly fixing any inconvenience that might have come up.

I’d totally recommend it!

I have spent a long time spent a long time searching for an apartment in Calgary. SODO compared to other buildings had welcoming staff and they were willing to work with you to find a suitable apartment. Other apartments that I saw in the similar range or higher as SODO either had no windows at all or no parking for 'lower tiered residents' that don't pay for premium suites. Great building staff Joy and Ameer and just as amazing of maintenance staff, all maintenance issues have been resolved within a day or two.

The team at SODO has been phenomenal to say the least especially our primary contact Joy:) She has been consistently friendly, understanding, and very responsive from the time we were in discussion over the unit, to seeing various units, setting up move in and booking elevators, rectifying a payment glitch, addressing minor maintenance concerns very quickly and even updating me on parking status as initially they told me I would need to wait some time before I could get a stall but kept me on a wait list and followed up with me shortly after to provide me with one. The buildings residents are also very friendly and the location is great.

It was super easy to move in. And people from the office are always friendly and ready to help.

During the coldest day of the year heat stopped working. Many residents submitted requests, but there was no update from management as to when it would be fixed leaving many residents with apartments at 16 degrees
