I have reached out to Son Rise a couple of times over the last few years to help me with urgent and non urgent plumbing issues in my house, and never got disappointed!

Great to work with. On time. Price was fully transparent and was done for what was quoted. I will be using Son-Rise again as needed.

We needed to have a sink installed quickly. It turned out there was also quite a bit of plumbing involved. The work was efficient and effective.

Had a toilet flushing problem. Patrick tried the usual solution of using a snake, many times, but there was no complete flush. He suggested other solutions which provided temporary clearing and we decided on replacement of the toilet. He explained the issue very clearly and it made sense what was happening. It was an age problem.
He was very patient and professional. They are researching a replacement to meet our specific requests.
Would definitely recommend Son-Rise to anyone looking for a plumber.

My mom referred me to Son-Rise and they were on time and professional. They looked at the repair I needed and gave me 3 options to choose from. They did a great job and I will call them again the next time I need a plumber for anything.

Got immediate attention of my request for an inspection of my inoperative water heater. Given the various cost alternatives for repair versus replacement I chose replacement which was completed quickly and efficiently. Had hot water within 24hrs.

Patrick came on time and could not find the source of my leak.
However it gave me further information to pursue another source relating to other contractor work I had done.

Called the company in early morning and they sent Alex over immediately. He provided an excellent diagnosis but, the issue required another solution. Alex was professional, informative and we would happily recommend their services.

Had my water meter burst on me when temp dipped -30. Called Son-Rise and they immediately checked with City Calgary if the water meter can be removed and replaced with a temp pipe. Got the ok and had the leak repaired on the same day. Professional service. Highly recommended.

I was thoroughly satisfied with the maintenance service Alex performed on our boiler. The work was scheduled in a few days and the price and concerns were explained thoroughly and carefully resolved without a major repair. I’ll never use another plumber.

Be very aware on how they price their services and get some competitive quotes from other companies.
They use task pricing which is essentially a fixed price regardless of how long it takes.
I paid the dispatch fee to have someone come and do an assessment. This cost was fair.
Needed a new cartridge for my shower. Price was $240. A little high for less than an hour of work to install a $20 part. Plumber commented that it normally takes less time than the 45 minutes mine took. Had a little trouble getting the old part out.
Could have lived with this but it was when he discovered my water lines were backwards that pricing got out of hand. He looked in his book and said $500. So I thought there must be a whole lot more to this than I thought. Wall was open, complete access to the lines.
Half an hour later he’s done. So I ask him about why $500. Says that how task pricing works.
So I ended up paying over $800 to have an hour and a half of labor and about $40 of parts.
Apparently some other plumbers use task pricing but I would ask next time.
I would rather pay time and materials and in my case would have saved me a lot.
An expensive lesson.
Will never use son rise again. Total gouge.

We bought a house in 2019 that was built in 2007. The house is now 15 years old and certain plumbing elements need maintenance, repair or upgrading. We have used Son-Rise at least 3 times on various needs (Grohe shower valve cartridge replacement, hot water tank pressure relief valve repair, water softener replacement) and in each case they have provided excellent service.

They are responsive on the phone or via email, they work hard to accommodate you if there is a matter that needs rapid attention (Grohe shower valve cartridge uncontrollable leak) and if you give them some proposed times and dates for non time-sensitive work they work to fit you in.

The first order of business when they get to your home is to assess the problem. Then you get a written quote on site with the full scope of work to be performed which you agree and sign. Then they go to work. We really like this professional approach. They answer all questions, they are well versed in the plumbing codes and standards and they look professional with clean Son-Rise uniforms. They bring indoor shoes to the site and switch from indoor to outdoor every time they need to go out to the truck for parts or tools. In short they deliver a professional experience conducted at a level to which all trades should aspire.

They warranty everything they do and they have never left our home without successfully completing the job and in a couple of cases, we have asked them to do additional tasks (for a fee) that were not in the original scope of work and they willingly oblige.

We all know that cheapest is not necessarily best. I seriously doubt if this team is the lowest cost in the city but we are big believers in ‘you get what you pay for’. We feel that they provide excellent value for money and that is the reason that we continue to come back to Son-Rise for all of our home plumbing requirements.

In summary, we would not hesitate to recommend Son-Rise Plumbing & Gasfitting for any task for which they feel qualified. If you want a positive experience with skilled tradespeople and your plumbing issues resolved, this company is a best-in-class choice.

We recently used Son-Rise to help us with clogged pipes due to a water main break in my neighbor hood. Patrick arrived on time and was very knowledgeable about what would need to be done to fix my issues. He was very through and ensured every tap and toilet worked after having to flush my home's whole system due to sand build up. I would recommend this family owned company to all my Friends and Family.

Son-rise has been amazing start to finish! They were prompt and came several times to check things out before quoting the job and answered all my questions. They started on time and kept our house clean and as livable as possible while doing our renos. Their whole team is awesome and they were even able to recommend other service providers when needed. Had them install a water softener and they were very quick with their responses and professional.

Staff were very helpful in setting up appointment, technician is knowlegeable, helpful in procuring parts for the repair. The repair has been well done, and I am satisfied with the work.

I had a water tank fail and had Son-Rise Plumbing install a new one. They did a great job explaining the options and installing the new tank. Alex took the time to explain how the tank worked and how to shut off the water and gas properly and how to turn it back on as well.

Son-Rise plumbing was very responsive, professional and honest. They replaced our broken hot water tank that broke that day and we’re happy with the results.

I had something leaking from my bathtub on the 2nd floor, causing a portion of the ceiling in my living room (beneath the tub) to sag and finally collapse. I emailed Son Rise about 7pm, and the very next morning I received a call from Phyllis at their office (who is always quite pleasant!). She offered to book a plumber to come out the same day.
The plumbers, JD and Alex, were running a bit late, but when they arrived they asked questions and got right to work. Withing 2 hours everything was done, and they even vacuumed and washed the walls where they were working. Highly professional team and I will continue to call them first, every time I need a plumber!

We had a faulty faucet at our office that was a special order type of faucet. Were able to source parts pretty quickly and do the repair. Was very happy with their service and professionalism. Would use again!

I went with Son-Rise Plumbing after having a few others come out and quote the same jobs. Son-Rise was the only company to provide a detailed scope of work, giving me the confidence that the project would be run smoothly. J. D.worked with me to make sure I could get the work done that I wanted to do, and that it would be on budget and on schedule.

The bulk of the work was done over 2 days with 3 plumbers on site (J. D, Alex, and Patrick) and these guys worked super hard and very efficiently, with a high quality result, and thanks to Phyllis I always knew when to expect them. They were always on time, and they were always friendly and courteous.

I also chose Son-Rise because they are more than plumbers - they were also able to take care of the framing, drywall and mud. Not having to wrangle or co-ordinate one or two more trades made my project that much smoother. If you have ever hired a drywaller for not-huge jobs you will know what I mean.

We called Son Rise about replacing our hot water tank. They came out the next day with a replacement. The job was done quickly and professionally. Also, we were over charged by $20 due to a special they were offering that got over-looked by the technician. Phillis sent us a hand-written thank you note for our business along with a refund cheque.
