*Second visit: Great pour over coffee! And highly recommend their almond croissant! Compared to the morning bun, almond croissant was soooo outstanding!
A place for professional coffee and drinks to enjoy with waffles!
Love their cappuccino for sure! For the first sip, I didn’t think the milk foam was that creamy, but then you realized it was well mixed with the coffee.
Their waffle was outstanding as well. It was crispy at the edge, soft and chew inside. The flavor I ordered, Brie & pesto, was sightly pricy tho. $5 more for pesto paste and two thin slices of cheese.
I also got their morning bun which got a hint of citrus taste. The flavor was great but the dough was a little bit dry.
The place was pretty busy @10: 30am on a Thursday. Nice, lively modern space, so not quiet. In fact, the voices drowned out the background music. The Americano ($3.75) was a good temperature, smooth taste, with earthy undertone of chocolate. It came in a nice thick mug which kept it hot longer.
As a coffee expert, I fully recommend this place. Good thing to know is that they can do a filter V60 prep, which is one of the best ways to enjoy the different origin coffees they have available. I am a frequent Lethbridge visitor and will be back here again!
Tuesday. 200 pm Ordered skinny latte.sorry we are out of skim milk.can't rate what I can't have. Sunday at 1130 am, ordered club.sorry we're out of bagels.management needs to pick up their game
All of the staff at Sonder are fantastic! From day one, they have all treated me so well. They genuinely care about quality, and customer service. I will see the owners come out from time to time and personally make sure that each customer is happy. They are always working so hard to make sure their food and drink is top notch and that people are loving what they get! Would highly recommend.
Awesome vibe to this place with quality coffee and tastey food. The Brie & Bacon waffle will be in my dreams until I return to Lethbridge. We came multiple times during our stay!
Lovely little coffee shop with a great atmosphere.
The waffles here were amazing. Light and fluffy waffles, topped with a great variety of sweet or savoury options. I had the bacon and brie waffle and it made for a fantastic brunch.
My wife and I were warmly welcomed by Jaret when we walked in the first time, and my lofty expectations of the quality of their coffee and waffles were met, and even beyond them!
God bless everyone who works here. Will definitely return on our next return to Lethbridge.
I had the Eggs Benedict and it was so good! The waffle wasn't overly large which I liked and the eggs were perfect. Very nice staff. This was my first time there as I'm from out of town and will definitely go back when in Lethbridge. (I paid for 2 people, we also had coffee drinks)
It took about 20 minutes for us to get our coffee, which were ordered to go. They were nice lattes, however the wait was a bit much. The atmosphere is beautiful, nice and fresh.
Had the eggs Benny waffle, and hubby had blueberry and lemon curd, was very good, but got the coffee pour over Ethiopian, did not like it, Maybe not made for a plain old coffee drinker like me who adds cream and sugar. It also was made extremely fast, pour overs should take a few good slow minutes?
My hubby got caramel latte twice he liked it, but syrup was mostly at bottom, next day I got sugar free vanilla latte, did not like it, Maybe all the syrup was at the bottom as well. But I threw it out. Only one size as well? Service both times was friendly, and good
Generally I had a great experience here. The space was beautiful, open, and lots of light. It’s self-serve (order at the counter, pay, then find a seat). The food was excellent and the coffee was great. I got two different waffles. One was the cinnamon sugar waffle and the other one was the banana and whip waffle—they both had great flavour. The cinnamon sugar waffle would have been quite dry had I not used some of the whipped cream from the banana waffle. My partner got the blue matcha London fog which he enjoyed. He got the breakfast sandwich which tasted great but was very messy and runny. Overall really great. The only thing that would’ve made it better was if the staff was more diligent on cleaning the tables. We had to ask for a cloth to wipe ours down. And, I think their set up with numbered wooden blocks to know where to take the food isn’t as efficient as it could be. There were a few times where servers walked back-and-forth holding a meal looking for the correct table.
An excellent date spot with friendly staff. Beware the walnut brownies though, last time I had one I broke a tooth on what I assume was a walnut shell.
The waffles here make this not just my favourite coffee shop, but favourite restaurant in all of Lethbridge. They are freshly made in store with high quality ingredients to top them. The drinks and environment are fantastic too!
I had a pour over with the Ethiopian Red Engine coffee.wow. I recently was in Ethiopia. The coffee tasted like the smell and feel of the country. Like physically tasted like it. Really good job to the Barista that did the pour, great flavor and no bitterness at all! Great job guys will be back again!
Great atmosphere to enjoy some down time with a cup of delicious coffee and a baked good. Smelled amazing when I stepped in the door and was greeted with a friendly hello. I believe I saw there was even Matcha Tea offered and some kitchen gadgets to help perfect your coffee making skills at home. Will definitely be back.
Delicious waffles in a boho chique environment. Waffles are crispy, warm, and chewy with plenty of great flavours. A Lethbridge gem that respects COVID protocols:)
Highly recommend the espresso tonic to mix up your coffee game!
My wife and I always enjoy our waffles from Sondor. The manager/owner is very kind and wants to ensure we get the best experience. Once, they missed an order we put through. They apolgized and offered free drinks. This small business works tirelessly so the people of Lethbridge have the best dang waffles they've ever had!
The other waffle reviews drew us in, and they did not disappoint. Both the coffees and teas were great, and the waffles were stellar. We will definitely be back!
Love the waffles, great job. Please keep online updated as I went there at 8 thinking it was open only to find a note on door saying 9, very inconvenient.
Great food, friendly staff, awesome coffee and teas, prices are a bit high but worth it for a local place with such a great vibe and an eco-friendly emphasis!
The best coffee shop in Lethbridge hands down. There is always a very friendly atmosphere when I walk in and I am always greeted by staff right away. Feels like a home away from home.
My fiancé and I throughly enjoyed our experience at Sonder. The food was delicious and the menu had great variety. I personally ordered the banana whip waffles and the dish was satisfying and sweet- but not over the top. My fiancé ordered the bacon and Brie waffles and said It exemplified a perfect mix of savoury and sweet. We arrived at a busy time Saturday morning so there was a small wait time for our waffles, but the staff was attentive and the service was excellent. Bonus points for Sonder, the bathrooms were very clean and put together. The restaurant had a laid back vibe and the decor matched the atmosphere of the spot perfectly. I would recommend Sonder highly. My fiancé and I are going back again today.
I always love this place and the great coffee. I had my first waffle on my latest visit and I'm sad I haven't been ordering the waffles this whole time! Absolutely delicious. This place is a must try.
We were surprised to find a good coffee place in our recent trip to Lethbridge. Before returning home to Calgary, we looked for a morning coffee shop where we could have a breakfast and a latte. Finding the shop with a line up to order was a good sign. The lattes are "gentle" and not hot enough for our taste but the Sunday special Benies on a waffle is worth the visit in itself. Highly recommend.
Always fantastic coffee, and super friendly staff! Only issue we had was that it was pretty noisy, which is a function of how busy it was. There's little to no fabric or soft surfaces anywhere, so everything echos a bit. Still, would recommend!
When they first opened up I was not impressed but I thought hey they are just opening up and give them some time. While I may not agree with the price they charge for the waffles. They are over good. However it seems my wife and my daughter was more impressed then me. But it seems the girls like this place while the guys find it over priced. Including myself
Cute, trendy place with a ton of intriguing waffle options. Atmosphere: cute, clean, ikea-like Employees: super friendly and amazing Coffee: mediocre, worth visiting but no intense depth to the latte and drip coffee was nothing special Alt milks: available! Housemade almond, coconut, oat Vegan friend: content but thinks the oat milk flavor was too strong Waffles: delicious. Yum. Yes please. Mugs: boring. Plain white mug and glass latte cup.
I usually enjoy the clean, cool and relaxing environment at Sonder. The coffee is great and they offer dairy-free alternatives like oat milk that are made fresh in house! Pretty neat. The waffles are also super delicious and well worth the visit for a modest $9.00. Let’s be honest, you can’t put a price on a decent waffle, especially in the morning.
Like the place. All kinds of waffles. Food is very delicious and fresh made. Enjoyed in my late and benny eggs Sunday Special. Love how they serve espresso. Definitely coming again.
Hands down the best waffle I have ever had, and I love waffles almost as much as Eleven from stranger things does! Will definitely be returning to try out other flavours: D
Always love stopping in to Sonder.coffee, waffles, fresh almond milk made in house is the best.great environment and a bunch of wonderful humans that keep it running!
Just wow! Love this place and wished I lived here to stop here regularly
Environment: super clean and modern but comfortable enough to chill or get work done. There is free WiFi which available almost anywhere now but it was fast and as an out of town we, I was needing it. Music was chill. Not my personal taste but it didn’t bother me at all.
Coffee: LOVED IT! My wife had a breve and I had pour over. Both were so good! They have quality equipment AND they know how to use it.
Customer service: super friendly right through the door. Lots of smiles and acknowledgement of everyone coming and going.
Food: I didn’t get to try the treats but they looked good. But I can’t say any more than that.
Great little place to grab waffles. And really sweet staff. Coffee could be a bit stronger but that's just my preferance. Definatly worth a visit and will be going again.
This has to be the most expensive coffee shop for the portions in this city. I tried their waffles I paid $10+ for 1 waffle 2 thin slices of cheese 2 small pieces of bacon I left still hungry what a joke! Their coffee what u pay there is small for the price. I pay that price at Starbucks for a Grande. Terrible!
Nice place for coffee that is different than the usual downtown cafes. Not the location I would have thought to be for a coffee shop but it has good coffee selections. Food is a bit limited unless you are a waffle fan, as that appears to be their specialty
