Sorrentino's West

Had a great evening last night in the private dining area for our mother's 90th birthday. Jenny W was an absolute stand out as our server, and is a credit to the team at Sorrentinos West!

I would say 11 out of 10! Atmosphere, music, service, wine and food are fantastic! We are very happy to discover this place as we love Italian cuisine. Definitely will come back again.
And yes, we highly recommend this restaurant!

Beautiful food and very good service. I would recommend reservations or be prepared to sit at the bar. Most importantly, the taste of everything that we ordered was great!

My wife and I went to Sorrentino's West last night and it was wonderful.
Our server, Rafat, had a great personality; he knowledgeably explained the menu/wines, was patient, personable and very attentive. He was a delight!
Our food arrived steaming hot and cooked to perfection.
We highly recommend going to Sorrentino's West.we will definitely be going again!

I went to this location on a Thursday to celebrate passing my registration exam. Our sever went above and beyond with our service - he made the time to chat with us and attended to our every need. Our second time was on a Tuesday - we just thought it was a regular Tuesday but Sami informed us it was a special mushroom wine night. He brought us wine as we waiting and our service was again impeccable. Not to mention the patio is DOG FRIENDLY - huge for walking through the neighbour with your dogs. We LOVE this place.

Have the best & exceptional server and server helper, Ivan. He is so polite, proactive and cares.

The experience at Sorrentino's is always excellent. Samy and the staff are always warm and welcoming. The service and food are consistently very good, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Our server tonight was Bella, and she was exceptional. Looking forward to returning soon!

The Beef short ribs with mushroom Ravioli was the best meal I have had in a restaurant this year.

I have only been here a few times over the last year but several of the people here remember me and are very friendly. The service and the food are great and the atmosphere as the evening gets busy is fun and welcoming.

Our family had dinner at Sorrentino's West on Sunday the 30th. It was my son's birthday and our server, Rhonda, took very good care of us. The food is always good and having someone with a great attitude and the ability to make us feel so comfortable added greatly to the entire night! Thank you!

First visit. Used the oilers $25 coupon. Can't say enough about the excellent service or the food. Dean was attentive and friendly without being pushy. 10/10 experience!

While my wife and I was waiting to be seated at our table, a very pleasant/polite delivery driver came in to pick up an order. The Maître D came out and was very rude to the driver, talking to him in a demeaning way. The Maître D is there to represent the restaurant and if this is how they treats and degrades people who works hard, then I will never support that restaurant. I would never go back any Sorrentino’s restaurant again because of how the Maître D had treated the poor driver.

I get the seafood pasta everytime. I scarf it down like a pig.delicious. Pasta Mediterranean is also amazing. Lots of garlic butter in their dishes:)

I came here for a nice evening with my Grandparents and I had an excellent time here. I ordered the Carne Pizza which included many different types of meat such as ribs, pepperoni, and sausage. It was very good and it is a great size for a big guy such as myself. For dessert, I ordered the Carrot Caramel Cake which was delicious. Definitely coming back here again.

This place never fails us! Great food! Nice to know now that they have a HUGE happy hour menu. 4-5.but on Mondays it's happy hour ALL day!

Had the distinct pleasure of visiting this establishment for the first time, and I was impressed from the moment I walked in the door. The food was fantastic and they have a superb wine selection.

The staff are exemplary in ensuring their customer needs are met. From the hostess to the general manager, I can't say enough positive things about the staff. Super impressed.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention our server Ruth. If there's anyone who understands how customer service can make or break an experience, it would be her. I look forward to hearing how she changes the world.

Highly recommend repeat visits to Sorrentino's West. Just loved it.

Pleasant atmosphere and great service. The margherita pizza's flavours felt muted, and some of the bottom of the pizza was soggy and stuck to the plate. I had higher hopes for the $17 margherita.

Always good quality food and service. A bit pricy but the menu does have more reasonable options and remember that there is a 1/2 wine past 8pm on some days so book a bit later to enjoy.

Last night my family enjoyed a delicious meal at the West Edmonton location. The food was excellent and the service incredible! We had my 4 yr old grand daughter with us and your team did everything they could to ensure our experience was awesome! Thank you.

Excellent venue for casual get togethers, romantic evenings and informal business dinners. Staff are really helpful around dietary concerns of guests. The food is consistently excellent and the ambience is perfect. The outdoor space is airy and really well set up with heating for cool evenings. Great bar and the indoor eating area is pleasantly busy, noise level is fine for conversation and there is a restaurant area that is semi-private which is a useful option. Sorrentino's West is a wonderful Italian restaurant - best pick for West end fine dining in Edmonton.

What a fantastic night! Dinner was amazing. The last time I visited this place was 20 years ago and it’s a good as I remember. The waiter was attentive and introduced us to Carmelo the owner. He shared a bit of history of Sorrentino’s and a wonderful drink to celebrate a special night for me and my partner. I highly recommend this place.

I waited to write this review until I had been here a few times. My boss loves Sorrentino's and he gave out gift cards to here for Christmas so I went and tried. Their food is DIVINE! The gift card got used up pretty quickly because it is on the more expensive side but it is so worth it. So many vegetarian options and they all taste sooooo good. So far I have tried their funghi misti pizza, roasted cauliflower (it's creamy and delicious), sorrentino salad (the red wine vinaigrette is to die for and the ingredients were so fresh), mushroom risotto, ricotta ravioli (probably the best ravioli I've had at a restaurant), penne arrabiatte with mushrooms instead of sausage (my favourite), and the panna cotta for dessert. My mouth is watering just writing this review and remembering how good every single thing tasted. The setting is classy and cozy. I love the dim lighting. The tables are a little too close together in my opinion, but I try and get and get a booth every time. The service is impeccable as well. 10/10 for ambiance overall. Strongly recommend going here.

Their bathrooms are number 1 in all of Edmonton. They smell great (not too great) and there clean as can be! Oh yeah, the food’s good too.

I had the most amazing experience at Sorrentino’s west! Samy is so wonderful and accommodating. Miro was my server and his service is the best I’ve had in the city! We hosted a surprise private event there, and Miro was on top of everything at all times. He served 20 people and did it all with a smile on his face while ensuring every single person was taken care of. The food was beyond delicious, every single person was blown away. Compliments to the chef! Thank you all for such a wonderful experience!

Very disappointing dinner we had there. The food was hot or miss, some of it tastes amazing while others were very disappointing. Amazing bruschetta that we had, however the bread rolls that we had were stale and hard. The pasta we had was also quite disappointing as my carbonara had turned to scrambled eggs and my guest's has an inch of oil at the bottom of the pasta. Waited almost an hour for our bill after we were done as well.

Great food with moderate pricing.
Try their tiramisu, it was extra good!
But tables are a bit close to each other.

Always our favourite! We relocated to Calgary in 2020 and every time we come back to Edmonton we eat here! THE best risotto. Bruschetta and specialty dishes around. Our children love it l! They make every meal special! Thank you #Sorrentinoswest for making our 17th dateaversary special!

Our favourite spot to go on Thursday nights. Pasta is always consistent. No matter what you order on the menu you know it will be the same every time you get it. Great staff that seem like they actually enjoy their job.

We had a big night with friends samy sit us in a nice table and good spot to scream and have fun we used to served by Dean but we got one of the amazing and best server in sorrentino's west Middo served my grand mother and us during summer and he served my husband and my kids last week and we asked samy to assign Middo again for our next party great food and service we really loved the atmosphere and the food as always veal Parmigiano is wow? We will return thabk you samy and Middo

Good ambience and the patio is beautifully tucked in a private area. Not facing roads or sidewalks. Price is pretty reasonable. Service is great!

My fiancé and I had our first date at Sorrentino's Downtown and have loved the chain ever since. Have been visiting the West location recently and have loved every single dish we've tried.
This chain has the best Italian food in the city!

Sorrentino’s West Edmonton is a favourite spot for our family. We have eaten in the restaurant many times over the years, and recently we had Sorrentino’s West cater an event for 20 people and the food was incredible. Excellent customer service with the catering team. Food was fresh out of the oven and hot for pick up time. Enjoyed by all of our guests. Thanks!

Great Italian restaurant, excellent pasta and pizza. Menu is definitely on the pricier side, however not over priced. Would recommend to anybody interested in spending some money on a nice dinner out.

We booked to eat inside and when we arrived they put us outside in the Gazebo and there were a lot of wasps. As an Italian, it didn't make me feel like at home, there are so many small details that could be adjusted but some of the food was good. Alberta beef was a bit old so it was hard to chew. However, staff was very friendly, kind, and attentive to us throughout the meal.

Great evening. Food was amazing so was the service. Singer provided us with a touch of class that you can only have at Sorentino’s!

We enjoyed a special family occassion dinner at Sorrentinos West last Sunday night. Our first time at that this Sorrentino's on a recommendation from a friend.

Management was very accommodating of our special requests. The food and service was great and Quinn, our server was spectacular. We all felt well looked after and we had a peaceful enjoyable experience with family.

We were helped by Joel today at the restaurant. He customized our food as we are vegetarian and I must say the pasta was delicious! The gravy was spicy and flavourful.thank you again ‘

Went to the patio last night and as always, got amazing service and the food was wonderful. I wish they kept up with the trend and provided more plant-base choices. As the population evolves, so does the eating habits and I would hate to see such a great restaurant get left behind. After all, Mother Tucker used to be the place to go and they are no more.

My favorite restaurant in Edmonton. Amazing and consistent service. Delicious food, health portions! Feels like family.

Overall the experience was fine but they weren't really great at following social distancing. Our table was very close to other people dining (approx. 2 feet). In terms of food, my father in law's lasagna came out cold. Their BBQ chicken pizza was delicious, though. I'd highly recommend that!

Wanted to like it more. We sat in the middle of everything. Not intimate at all. And the food was ok. But nothing special for the price.

It was a pretty good experience overall.

It is disappointing they have Gluten Free pasta options but do not have GF bread or crackers of any kind let alone many GF options. Wither go all in or dont go at all I say.

Overall though service was good, food tasted great and price was okay, my steak was over done and that was disappointing.

My date was wonderful though so I had a good time and the Tiramisu won me over.

Probably my favorite napoli pizza. Great crust. Really good cheese. And the sauss is amazing. Toppings are all high quality.
But why would you put jalapeno peppers on a delicate napoli pizza? Just dont.
Good ceasar salad but i wish the parmesan wasnt mixed in with the dressing. I like low dressing high on parm.
Good carbonara. The guancialle is too finely chopped and the egg flavor is abit lost.
The mussels in white sauce were great both quality and portion size. I wish the sauce had more cream for richness.

Good food, terrific service. Family friendly, took our nieces (4 and 8) here for a birthday party. Also warm and comfortable inside while -15 and windy outside.

Service was great as usual and food was better than ever! They have a new chef in town and you can definitely tell. We come here for big family birthdays or celebrations and they never disappoint. Highly recommend this place. Oh, and the Caneloni with mushroom cream sauce!

We went as a family to Sorrentinos for Valentine's Day. The service, food and atmosphere was great. Always loved their food. My favorite location to go to for great Italian food. There is a good menu for kids as well.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was average italian fare. Homemade ceaser dressing was delicious.

First time here for a birthday. Our waiter was so friendly and attentive. He even brought out an iPad with Netflix to help calm my 2 year old that was being unruly. That was so appreciated and sure helped our party plus other diners enjoy their evening. The food here was pretty decent though slightly pricey and under seasoned. Atmosphere was relaxing and intimate. Would make for a great date spot. I plan to try this place again for the great service alone and I'm excited to explore the menu as it was hard to find one or two items to commit to.

The ambience is lovely, the noise level minimal, service is great, so attentive and the food is fabulous.

Service wasn't the greatest and the food was way over salted and had too much pepper was on it. When I mentioned it, and asked for new chicken for the pasta, since the season was too much and the chicken was very dry, they said it came pre made and therefore they couldn't do it. For that price, hearing that information confused me. No sorry was said either. No attempt of redemption from manager or anything. Got a salad instead which was good. But wouldn't go back there because of this experience.

First time here was great! We were warmly greeted as we came in. Our waiter was phenomenal. Food was delicious. Will definitely be back!

The food was great but the waiter was very rude.
He was more attentive to the larger tables in his section and treated us very poorly because we were only a table of two and as if our gratuity was not worth his time.
We placed our order order well before another “larger” table and they were served their food first and he rudely blamed the kitchen staff, which is completely untrue and unprofessional.
He did not ask us for our drink refills until after we finished our meals.
Just an overall terrible waiter. I will be back for the food but will request another waiter or waitress, if we are seated in his section again.

It's a nice restaurant to be sure and was very busy when my party arrived. We didn't have a reservation and the hostess tried very hard to find us a table but they were too busy. Sometimes it's better to just be honest with customers and let them find another restaurant. Will amend the review when I try the food

Went to this restaurant for a birthday party, I heard a lot of good things about Sorrentino's prior to this night. I was very disappointed with one particular server, she had so much attitude towards my boyfriend, his parents, and I. I understand we were a big group of people but, the way she kept kicking my boyfriend's chair on purpose and keep telling him to move without being nice made my experience unsatisfactory. She kept rolling her eyes at me. We waited for our food for 3 hours and rarely were taken care of when needed water or some type of beverage. The food was alright, I think changing the family 5 meal menu would serve better for potential new costumers. After this experience I will never come back.

Did not enjoy the subtle shade about whether my party would physically fit into one of their booths. But the food was pretty good, and recent portions.

I was at this restaurant with my family. We arrived there right at the time the restaurant opened at 5 p.m on Saturday, Sept 28th 2019. While we were so hungry, we entered the restaurant and ordered our meals. An hour and 15 minutes later, our food were not ready. The most unacceptable of it all was that our designated server was passing by all that time and we were completely ignored while other customers were being served. Preferential treatment? Yes, that is my conclusion.

When our meals were finally ready, we asked them to be boxed.we explained the situation to the manager. To his credit, he thanked us and explained, he has been manager there for just 2 weeks and there are a lot to be changed. However, he was not apologetic to make us believe that he cares much.

We paid for our meals and left the place very unhappy.

A great place in the neighborhood for Italian Food. The menu is quite varied with pasta, pizza and entrees. I love that there is a wood burning oven for the pizzas. It makes the pizzas taste extra authentic. There is lots of parking outside too.

This is Authentic Italian food. The food was beautifully plated and delicious! I had the Gnocchi and a Ceasar salad. Yummy! Everyone really enjoyed their meals. The service was excellent! The atmosphere beautiful. It was fine dining without the fine dining expense! I want to go back as soon as I can!

Food was delicious! However, I don't like the noisy atmosphere and it was very hard to get the attention of our waitress throughout the evening. Otherwise the service was excellent!

The bellinis were on special so my partner and I each enjoyed one. They were pretty but not fresh. The pizza was terrible. Soggy crust and the "prosciutto" was pieces of ham.

Went here tonight. Simon was server/manager. First time in 20 years that anyone comped me a free glass of wine at this place.

Simon is a neat guy. You should come and meet him. He is too good to stay here long.
