A coworker recommended this place for a late apres work lunch and we loved it! There are so many interesting dishes to try so we will be back. The gyoza appy was delicious! So good we ate before taking a photo so you will have to take our word for it. YUMMY!

Had the delicious chicken satay Bowl, my friend had tacos and loved them. Also had delicious cocktails. Our server was sweet and new but did a great job.

Good service, but unfortunately sorso was subpar. Had gyoza that was under done and a poutine that had cold gravy. Server was nice but curt. Really wanted sorso to live up to the reviews!

Food was great. Service was absolutely terrible! We sat ourselves, took forever for the server to bring menus, take drink and food orders and then bring the bill. The restaurant was not overly busy at the time (early afternoon) and there were plenty of servers to accommodate the number of patrons. Would not recommend based on lack of customer service. Left much to be desired.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food. The patio is spacious and pet friendly. I like that the menu had vegan and low carb options as well as their regular items. The only downside I found was the open mic night as it detracted from the venue and ambiance (and was too loud for those dining inside). I will def eat there again but not on Sundays.

Great dog patio, really good poutine. Hard to find gravy I like but this place had delicious fries and good gravy IMO. Friendly staff. Also had a mic night and some local performers. Was a lovely experience with great food

Nice patio. All the tables had umbrellas for shade on a hot day, like the day we went. Great food (We had a mushroom Burger and shrimp tacos) and And they have a few different flavored mojitos! Yum. I would go back for sure. The staff was very friendly

Recently went to this place. First of all they gave me an uncomfortable seating and when asked to change it was declined with few excuses. Secondly the beer was warm. And then comes the best part. They bring next tables food before mine though they came way after me. Lastly below average food. Never going to the place again.

The experience was disappointing. Lots of staff loitering around. Took awhile to get our drinks.
My brussel sprout appetizer was burnt. Brussel sprouts were almost unrecognizable. Just leaves, burnt with peppers, edamame beans.
Didn't enjoy at all.
I worked years in food service on both ends of the of the restaurant.
I would never of prepared such a mess, nor serve it.
I believe there staff could use some training. Just saying.
I don't think I would return.

Don't matter if you eat late or come in for some breakfast. The food is just great there. It may be because it's something you can't order any where else in town. The menu is just different. The waitress are a little bit off. But it maybe because I'm old.

Sorso is a brilliant, multipurpose spot. Great for a first date, a quick bite, or a catch up with a friend. The menu boasts a variety of options from flat breads, to pasta, burgers, and a number of starters for sharing. There are a number of local craft beer on draft and quality cocktails to choose from alongside wonderful coffee options. On our last visit our server Chanel was the ideal balance of attentive while leaving space for us to enjoy our time together. The staff is kind and friendly, always sure they're doing their best to ensure their guests are taken care of. Highly recommend this spot.

Always have a great time here. Our server Kansas was phenomenal, she gave us outstanding service and she was so great to chat with! She made my experience there even better.

The new Christmas menu is so good. I got the frosted French toast and it was so yummy. The servers are always so nice here too

They have a Christmas theme going on right now called Tipsy Chimney. It's cute and festive! Also they are selling bottles of a pre mixed Boulvadier that is a collab with Bridgeland Distillery, the proceeds go to a charity in Airdrie. They are $50 but are for a good cause so consider it if you can. The cocktails were good and creative, the appetizers were just ok. Our server was wonderful. I've heard their brunch is good so we will be back for that.

Love Sorso best go-to brunch spot for me. We had few Airbnb stays who we recommended to check out in Airdrie they loved it

The coffee is good and the staff here is great. However, the food is pretty expensive and isn't really anything special.

Different experiences. Not into the craft beers. Not doing very good job checking for covid vac proof but otherwise it was okay.

Heard great things about this place and it’s famous best-in-Canada caeser. Made a reservation and drove an hour and 20 mins to try it for lunch. After we were seated, we had no server even come by to acknowledge us. Sat there for roughly 7 minutes before the girl who sat us came over asking if we had ordered (keep in mind there were 3 other tables in the building, and patio was closed, they were not busy or short staffed as the manager was standing right behind the bar with 2/3 other servers). We told her no one had even came to grab us drinks. She says she will serve us, which is fine. Go to order the Canadas best caeser to be told they actually aren’t making them right now because they “don’t have all the ingredients because they go bad so quickly, so they haven’t been making them” …. If you’re not going to make what you’re “famous” for, take it off your menu. Super disappointed. Lunch was alright, but nothing to rave about. Not impressed and will not be recommending.

How have I lived in Airdrie for 2 years and not been to this place? Excellent drink selection, super friendly and energetic staff, and the best ceaser in Canada how can you go wrong? Heads up inside is not large so don't be afraid to cozy up with your friends. Also in the picture I did eat the flower. I was told it was edible, and it was lol. That drink is the lapu lapu. Very tasty and fruity if you're into that. I was in the mood for something random and was not disappointed.

Recently introduced my husband to the pop up Tipsy Chimney. He said hands down best food in all of Airdrie, and drinks.

Sorso is my favourite place to go for food and drinks in Airdrie. We are lucky to live walking distance. The food is amazing, as well as the cocktails and we even buy our coffee beans there! Love the live music as well. Visited just this past weekend to check out the tipsy chimney and it did not disappoint! Highly recommend.

I made reservations 2 Weekes in advance to attend with a small party.
I received an email the day before we were to go explain that they had canceled my reservations and choose instead to give their staff a day off.

I think it's great to have day offs however this is something that management should plan beforehand to avoid situations like this.

I felt this was very poor of them and not valued as a customer.

Extremely disappointed.

The food and drinks are amazing here, and ambiance is great too. Perfect local spot for a date, going out with friends or the family.

Loved the ravioli, Bob Donaldson was a fine entertainer.great service and a fine Old Fashioned. Some very unique drinks.

Look forward to trying more items on a future visit. The Breakfast menu looks intriguing as well.

The food was excellent and the service was great. I had the tofu Buddha bowl and it was extremely delicious. This will be our new go-to place in Airdrie.

We were looking for a brunch place with waffles for the kiddo while passing through Airdrie; Sorso menu looked perfect, so we headed over and got there at 10.30am on a Monday morning. It wasn't busy, we found a spot on the patio and asked for the kids' menu waffles and yogurt for our toddler right away while we decided on our meals. 10 minutes later, we were told they were out of waffles (?), and we decided just the yogurt for the toddler would be fine. Another 10 minutes later, after placing our order, we again asked for our toddler's yogurt. Unfortunately, by the time it came, toddler had filled up on juice and the snacks I had brought and was no longer interested in the yogurt. While a toddler's attention span and hunger are fleeting, it didn't need to take 30 minutes to provide yogurt when we specifically requested it first for the kid. The rest of the meal took a bit longer to come out (Husband ordered the benny with chorizo, I had the breakfast poutine) ; the chorizo was overcooked and eggs weren't cooked as requested. The breakfast poutine was tasty and the hollandaise sauce was good. Coffee is advertised as bottomless and it was good coffee, but we were never offered a refill (had to request it) and it came 15 minutes later as we were ready to get the bill, so we declined. Oddly, I had to tell the table behind us, (who I could hear reviewing the menu and considering the chicken and waffles), that they were out of waffles- this was an hour after we had arrived and the server still wasn't informing people they didn't have waffles. We had high hopes for this brunch and we were disappointed with the speed of service; when I left, the servers were congregated at the bar inside, I'm almost certain there were people with empty coffee cups waiting for a refill.

It was my first time there. The service was fantastic any we ordered appetizers the stuffed mushrooms and they were fantastic as well and hot to the outside patio.

I love Sorso; they have the best cocktails in the city. They’re always working hard in adding new menu items; which is always fun to try something new each time I visit. My only suggestion would be the deep fried food items; often they seem over fried. Would be perfect if they tweaked their times. Regardless we will always support this business and their fantastic staff.

Really nice menu with lots of variety. Food was good and fresh. Might be slightly overpriced as a "market" restaurant, but it's great to have some variety in Airdrie, with no need to drive to Calgary to find something more unique like this.

Best craft cocktails in town. It was busy tonight and Sean the manager was HUSTLING behind the bar the whole time. Dude's a beast! Good atmosphere and food too.

Honestly super disappointed. They were out of a lot of items which was understandable with things opening up. Server was polite but ignored our table it seemed. Drinks took a long time, which was the only thing that was good. I got the berry salad with chicken which was super blan. The berry salad was surprisingly small for how much it was and the dressing was basically oil with poppy seeds and super disappointing. Not to mention it came with barely any fruit and nuts as mentioned. I wanted to ask the server for some salt or dressing or something but she didnt come back to us for another 30+ minutes after dropping our food off. Also had ordered the herb and parm fries which had no herb and a bit or grated parm with zero salt. Also wanted to ask for something for those but you can't really do that when you've been forgotten about. We had zero opportunity to talk about the food or to change our plates which was unfortunate. For $85 that is definitely way too much for our poor experience.

Awful experience! My husband ordered a beer and the beer was warm. I ordered a bruschetta and they had just torn a piece of bread put some tomatoes on it and plated. I mean have you not learnt anything about how to make a bruschetta? No one can go wrong with this dish. The bread was not even toasted. Omg I would love to teach you how to make a bomb bruschetta!

Delicious food. Creative and fun drinks. Loved the music and atmosphere and the staff was attentive, friendly and upbeat. The price was worth the trip!

This is going to be a long review as the experience here made up for a terrible day. My wife and I were in Airdrie to pick up a teardrop trailer after purchasing it a couple months ago however upon arrival after a long drive from BC we uncovered that nothing we had ordered was done. We were also going to see some old friends for dinner but that didn't work out due to the delay in sorting everything out.

We had rezzies at Sorso at the last minute and had to call to cancel and after my explanation the host both thanked me for calling to cancel and encouraged me to come in anyways after our ordeal for a drink.

We wound up being at the RV place for three hours in the heat and wound up leaving the trailer there overnight. We then went to our hotel to freshen up and after a quick chat decided to go to Sorso (although we did consider Mr. Mike's!).

Glad we went. Although being both busy and short staffed we were fortuitous to grab a table inside right away. After months of not being able to socialize with people one on one we got it in spades. The ambiance which included live music and amazing decor immediately hit us. And the menu was so well designed that we had to order a number of dishes.

The dishes we ordered were all delicious and included the carbonara pasta, Korean BBQ tacos, steak bites, devilled eggs, and duck wings. Each dish well portioned being both not too large and just enough to satisfy without filling you up. On the beverage side it was equally if not more impressive. I had the smoked fashioned which was completely a new experience for me with bourbon. The wife was adventurous and tried a number of different cocktails.

Finally, the nail in the coffin that made this whole day salvaged was we got to see one our friends in the end and we wound up chatting with the owner who had to serve that night due to him being short staffed. In speaking with him we got to chat about a number of things with us both being in the hospitality to industry, him winning mixology awards for unique drinks, the Yukon, Airdrie, the history of how he and his business partner created the restaurant, how are day went, travel, and many more. We got to exchange contact information so we will be back and hopefully he can come north. Either way we felt we found a new friend while seeing and old one. Thanks for a great memory while we travel across the country on our honeymoon and thanks Specifically to London for the celebratory cheers at the end of a wonderful 3 hour plus evening at your establishment and the unique beverages to go!

First time ordering food from Sorso. Although I waited around 40 minutes (pick-up), the food was worth the wait. I ordered a Greek burger and my mom got the Chicken Apple Brie burger. I do wish the side salads were slightly larger, but the burgers were very tasty. I would like to try their full salads sometime. Support local!

Best service I've ever had. Freddie was attentive, knowledgeable and an overall fun server to have. The cocktails were phenomenal and the food is the best in Airdrie. Whether you're looking to just have drinks, share appetizers or have brunch, Sorso is the place to go.

Great place! Excellent quality food, primo coffee, and a kind staff who gave the impression that they were happy that I was there. It's a seat yourself kind of place but the food and service is fantastic. We had to wait a bit because it was busy (afternoon on a Monday). But the servers were all polite and friendly. They let us take our time ordering and served our and drinks promptly. Definitely want to go again to try more of their food.

The online menu was hard to navigate and we weren’t able to place an online order through the website. We called at 9: 30 and the line kept ringing busy so we kept calling back and finally at 10: 42 we finally got through to place our order. They were out of waffles so I had to make a quick decision on the spot and wasn’t told what would be similar to that.

The menu is fantastic. The food is so thoughtfully prepared and delicious; to die for, honestly. The REAL meals are the cooks though?

Excellent customer service, awesome food and hot drinks, great patio (yes, I am one of those crazy Albertans who was sitting outside on April 25th in +3°C weather and snow!). We really appreciated the propane heater beside our table! I will definitely return and hope to enjoy the patio when it's actually "Patio weather".

Really bad coffee place. Don't waste your money. I got hazelnut latte and a fraccupichizzle with hazelnut flavor. Both drinks were basically milk. No strong espresso flavor in it whatsoever.

If I wrote this review the last time I was here a couple years ago, it would be lucky to get 3 stars. It was not a good experience. I took the plunge and stopped by again and boy am I glad I did. The vibe they have cultivated is fantastic, not to mention the food and beverage was amazing. Ownership has clearly invested in developing this spot into a real gem. Totally worth stopping by!

Got a drip coffee, asked for 2 fingers of room, went to the puck up area, saw a coffee with almost no room so I assumed it wasn't mine. She hadn't said it was ready so I waited for mine. After waiting for awhile she just said uh you know that's yours right? I said it doesn't have 2 fingers of room she told me it's the coffee bubbles makes it look full. I could see through the bubbles and it was not enough room.it was so obvious she hadn't done anything to deserve her 30% tip. I wanted to reach in the jar and pull it out. Maybe she's just on her period who knows, but she reminds me of my ex who could never admit she was wrong.

I ordered skip the dishes - I’m a vegetarian, they gave me a bacon sandwich. I called they didn’t apologize, and said I have to deal with the problem re order, pay for more food and wait another 30 minute rather then offering for me to come pick up my proper order. Poor customer service, wont be ordering from Sorso ever again

Went for coffee. Nice atmosphere, a much bigger menu than I was expecting. Friendly staff. There's 1 table situated right next to the front entrance which seems poorly planned. I would definitely come back.

This is probably the best coffee shop in Airdrie. Really comfortable design. Well balanced food menu. Drink options include alcohol. Came when they were playing a Premier League match too. Prices are indicative of the quality experience. Will definitely return.

The sandwhiches here are consistently delicious, as is their coffee. Sandwhiches also come on a gluten free bun. Drive through is super helpful.

Friendly faces, good food, great drinks! Deciding to get brunch on a whim, we stumbled upon Sorso and were quite pleasantly surprised! Welcomed with a warm hello and a smile the service was amazing! Our drink orders came quickly and were fantastic along with the food coming fast after we ordered! Highly recommend for a brunch spot and will be coming back in the future!

So delicious! The food was great, the restaurant is beautiful, staff/service was really good, and it was nice to have some hot drink options on a cold day! (Apple Pie Tea Latte was amazing!)

Usually a good place to socialize, until Friday night 4 of us together having a great visit, lots of laughs we had food and 2 beer and wine, the waitress came and asked if there was anything else she could get us and we asked if we ordered another bottle of wine could we recork it to take home as we didn’t think we would drink it all, it was about 1040pm she said yes and left then came back and said she wasn’t comfortable giving us another bottle stating that based on our behaviors like being loud and laughing, we are 4 women late 40s and early 50s so not obnoxious and one went to ask the manager on duty what the problem was she said the waitress has a couple loud tables and she is uncomfortable and the manager said you coming to talk to me is making me uncomfortable, when we were just trying to find out if we had done something to offend the waitress, really need to ramp up better managers who have decent communication with customers

It's a comfy kind of cool cafe serving excellent coffee, healthy breakfasts, tasty food throughout the day served by friendly people.

I went here for the first time and I will continue to go here as much as possible! Absolutely amazing food, excellent service and very knowledgeable staff. I want to try everything on the menu. Definitely worth every penny and I highly recommend this place over anywhere else in Airdrie.

Lovely atmosphere and the waitress made me feel like I was an old friend. The latte and scone that I had were also delicious.

We went in.live music, nice surrounding, we sat, and we had to wait literally 40 min for 1 ice tea and 2 latte macchiato of which we had to return the ice tea back because was just water and sugar without any taste, the coffees instead were served to us without spoon, no sugar.like i said nice surrounding but I don’t think we will be back.

Have been to this establishment a few times now as well as worked with them from a business relationship. They are great to work with and there location is a gem to be in. Very modest and relaxed and an easy place to settle into with friends or with a little bit of work.

Not super impressed. I went here with my husband tonight. He ordered the pulled pork sandwich and I ordered the Mac and cheese. His sandwich was excellent (which is why this gets 2 stars and not 1) but the Mac and cheese was terrible! It looked good enough on the plate but after the first bite I discovered that the "sauce" was really just milky water with no flavour. The sauce was so thin, hardly anything got onto the noodles and there was no cheese flavour to speak of. When I asked our server if it was supposed to be like that she went and asked the cook. The cook said that that was how it turned out. I refused to eat any more of it. The only compensation I was offered was for the cook to remake it, but was told it would basically be the same thing that was brought to me the first time.

TL: DR Mac and Cheese was terrible, took 3 bites of it, still had to pay full price for the meal.

While the food was actually really good, the service was some of the worst i have ever experienced. Staff was not friendly, when I asked how much the add ons were, the waitress responded with "actually im not sure, i think probably like a dollar or something". Once we finished eating, we asked for the bill and waited for over 10 minutes. Waitress never came back, she was leaning over the counter chatting with another employee. We eventually got up and went to the front to pay. We were never given a bill and still don't know how much we paid for each drink /meal. At that point we just wanted to get out of there. Overall food was good, but dont expect good service.

Went for breakfast with my wife and son. Sat down and the waitress came to take our drink order. Ordered 2 regular black coffees and looked at the menu. 15min later and no sign of our coffees. Got up and left for A&W instead. If you're going to offer table service please provide it.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Amazing coffee. Only negative was no where on the menu did it mention no free refills of coffee. At first I thought our waitress was just giving poor service by not asking for a top up. That being said, i would have certainly asked for more coffee if I had of known.

Amazing Eggs Benny, the bacon is delicious! The staff are always so friendly as well. A nice, local brunch spot.
