They always manage to squeeze me in and have my vehicle ready for pickup before the end of the day. I’ve dealt with all service advisors and they all provide great customer service.

8th new car. 1st Volkswagen.

Was greeted by Alyssa when visiting. She did a great job with transparency and was respectful. I would recommend asking for her based on my experience. She went out of her way to find an example of the car (still wrapped) that I could sit in and check out. She reached out for assistance when she didn't have a specific answer to a question or to find a car that matched my requirements. I always respect someone who can say "let me get that answer for you". I was never made to feel I was wasting her time despite initially not being interested in a Volkswagen as a primary option.

Xin handled the back half of the deal and was excellent as well. Also very transparent and answered questions respectfully. There was a discrepancy he recognized as a mistake and fixed immediately without hassle.

As always.know your math under several circumstances before buying a car. But I found this to be an honest dealership. There are several car brands that will allow dealers to hit you with an arbitrary and often ridiculous admin fee. The fees here are clearly advertised on the VW website, reasonable and adhered to properly. In addition, we were offered some additional value coverage for that cost rather than it just being an admin fee.

And as an aside.early impressions of a first Volkswagen (Jetta) are very positive. May vary from person to person but I found priority in options that almost exactly fit my priorities as a driver. I feel like I have the best possible vehicle I could have ended up with based on what I was spending. Very good feeling to have.

My experience here will ensure I look at Volkswagen first next time instead of as an afterthought.

I didn't even buy a car but my short experience with this dealership brought new faith to the entire experience. Sales person was super transparent of costs and things like "market adjustment". Unfortunately the product i was looking for just wasn't possible to get. Next VW I buy will certainly be from there.

We had an enjoyable purchasing experience here. Ryan at the inquiry stage was quick to respond and was very kind. Introduced himself at the dealership as well. Jorge Castillo & Shanna Macleod were great. Jorge was very open with pricing and helped us get a deal while being kind. Shanna made sure we understood everything before signing, gave us all of our options and as a bonus she was a hoot to talk to. No one was ever pushy. We did not buy a VW this time, but a slightly used Nissan, and they were great with getting the car to the dealership from another location for us to be able to test drive before buying. Pickup experience was quick & easy too, no hassles. Car shopping can be very overwhelming as everyone knows, so as soon as we got the vibe of this place, we didn't want to go to another dealership.

Most of the team is good specially the service team. But the Behaviour of sales manager Brad is bit ignorant. It looks like he don't care much about anything i said to him or requested. When i bought the car in June he refused to give gas gift card as he mentioned that we negotiated the price. Then i referred one of my friend and he bought the car last month. He clearly mentioned the referral to Codi and he verified about me that time. But i didn't get any call or text. I went to the agency for my remote starter issue and i asked Brad about all this referral thing. First he told me that there's no such referral mentioned by my friend, but my friend clearly told Codi during the time of purchase. Then Brad tried to blame my friend that he didn't mentioned any referral. But what about the sales person if he didn't put up the referral in the system and afterall customer is being blamed for such nonsense. Then Brad told me that he will contact the his manager and call me in the evening about the what he can do. But it's been 2 days and he didn't contact me or update me anything. It clearly shows that he don't care at all. I don't know this is towards me or other customers too. But in future i will not buy any car and will never recommend to any of my known. Your referral thing is just for the name or fooling the people around.

I have been searching for a car for nearly 8 months, then this beautiful 2013 Lincoln showed up for sale from this establishment. I called and made an appointment, they took me that day. Took my car in for a recall and was not told prior to arrival that the appointment would take 3+ hours. Not only was I not told ahead of time they also do not offer any kind of loner vehicle. I do not live in the city so getting a cab or Uber home was not even an option.

My encounter with South Centre VW has been unpleasant. For over a month, my car has been in for repairs. Originally I wanted an oil change. They continue to find problems, and somehow seize tie rods that were not seized when I drove it there.

I've tried continually to contact representatives like Tyler, and Matt, however, it's always going to voicemail. And they don't respond back.

Upon contacting one of these two representatives, at first they were completely unaware of my vehicle. After 10 minutes on hold, he returned to ask me if I was sure my vehicle was with them. Another 10 minutes, and then "oh I remember this". Just an afterthought.

What could have made my experience better is more consistent contact and updates. Feeling left in the dark about my personal vehicle is an awful feeling, as well as an ever surmounting bill that I have no way of gauging. I'm now left concerned I will be able to pay the full amount and receive my vehicle which I've been without for over a month!

Shanna Macleod was a rockstar throughout the process & helped me by running different financial scenarios, answering my zillion questions & just being really thorough & customer focused. At the end of the day, she was instrumental in my decision making process & I’m really happy with how everything turned out.
Brian Mackenzie is an awesome sales person who is relaxed, no pressure & always available to answer a text or a phone call.
At the end of the day, I had a very positive experience & would recommend South Centre VW to anyone looking for a new ride!

Recently purchased a car from them, they did not meet the delivery day.
For this reason, they said they were going to install the winter tires for free and storage the summer ones. When I picked up the car, the summer tires were in the trunk. I left the tires and one of their workers told me they were going to send me the storage receipt the day after because it was late already. It has been two weeks and I am still chasing them. There is no history of my summer tires in their data base. Worst service ever. Will never recommend.

Sales process was straightforward, the usual back and forth between the sales guy and sales manager. We managed to come to a deal, however it was completely let down by finance who’s systems apparently were not working and was advised it would be possibly days to a week before they could process the application. This I was informed of 3 days after I had signed the sales agreement and put forward the credit application. Communication skills need to be improved. Ended up sourcing a new VW from Norden VW in Edmonton for the same price as the used one I was looking at here and got far more for my trade in. It truly pays to shop around. Will not be back here in the future.

I booked a brief appointment to resynchronize my remote key fob as it had stopped working, and had a disappointing experience. The service technician implied that the issue was due to OEM parts in a way which made me feel like the issue was my fault, however the OEM parts were all part of the certified pre-owned vehicle which I had purchased directly from this dealership and had paid a premium for.
After being left to wait for 2 hours, I was told that they couldn't find the issue at all. Without any assurance of what had been checked or the likelihood they would be able to fix the communication between the key fob and my car, I was charged $342 dollars for the unexpectedly long visit, and in the process they lost a specially purchased vanity plate from my vehicle.
A quote of over $1100 was given for replacement of an electronic module, which given that they couldn't find the issue is concerning. Furthermore, the dealership has been unavailable when I have tried to reach out about whether they have located my missing plate which I feel to be unprofessional.
I feel taken advantage of and I would not recommend them unless improvements have been made to their business practices.

Took my car in for a recall notice. No problem. I typically go to the other location but was not getting the coolant issue resolved (after 2 years on a 2016 golf) when the recall notice came, took my chances at Southcentre. Wow the knowledge, clarity, honesty with the whole situation was 10 stars out of 5. Matt service adviser just knew.checked it was under warranty and boom dealt with. I honestly think I'd drive to this location from Vancouver to get all my future services. Thanks Southcentre

I originally went to bow Mitsubishi for my car but they wouldn’t fix the car I picked without putting up a hassle leading me to find my Evolution at VW this dealer. Once again, she managed to impress me with her professionalism, friendly and open approach, and her commitment to customer satisfaction! I'm a long time customer of this dealership, having purchased two vehicles from here, and every time she was my service advisor, Charlene has provided an outstanding customer experience. Sometimes, when needed, she even stayed a bit over her schedule, just to make sure we got the chance to review what was done to the vehicle. Thank you, Charlene!

EDIT: The General Manager from South Centre Volkswagen (Josh) reached out to my following this review. He let me know how much my business is appreciated there, and after chatting with my service advisor and service manager, let me know that they all agreed that our interaction wasn't handled as well as it should have been. In his opinion this was a one-off poor interaction rather than an ongoing issue, which I tend to agree with as I've had nothing but great experiences with his team prior to this.

He offered to cover the labour on the new issue with my vehicle, and offered the parts to me at cost. I certainly wasn't looking for any free work out of this review, but I really appreciate the gesture and I do believe he was genuine in wanting to make sure I was happy, and would return as a customer.

All in all I was really impressed, and quite surprised at how quickly everything was resolved, and what was offered to make me satisfied. I'll definitely be going back to South Centre Volkswagen.

After purchasing my vehicle from South Centre Volkswagen, and completing all my servicings there for the last 5 years, I have likely visited them for the last time.

I brought my 2010 Golf in to repair the splash guard last week after parking too close to a parking block, and having the front end hang up. When my service advisor called me after the initial inspection, he indicated that the damage under the car was a little more significant, and that the rear suspension needed some attention for a grand total of around $3,000. Knowing that the car is 10 years old, and having owned a 10-year-old Golf before, this wasn’t a huge shock. I’ve had great luck with this car for the last 5 years, and avoided any significant bills, so I chalked it up to being due for a fix. At this point this was the only repair work mentioned.

When I picked up my vehicle, my fiance and I both immediately noticed a high-pitched noise coming from the car that wasn’t there prior. We both gave one another a look like “what the heck is that”. I didn’t immediately bring it up, and figured maybe it was just something “settling in”. After a day of driving the noise was still there, so we decided to take it back in.

This is when things got strange.

We returned the next day and pulled into the service bay. My advisor came by, I asked if he remembered me, and told him that we were hearing a new noise coming from the car. Without blinking, or popping the hood, he responded that it was the serpentine belt and that the cost would be roughly $3,000. After the initial shock wore off, I asked him how he was immediately able to diagnose that this was the issue. He said that they had noticed dust build up on the belt/rollers and that they had cleaned/lubricated them. I asked how the cleaning/lubricating would cause the noise, to which he responded that the noise was there when the vehicle arrived.

At this point it’s my word against South Centre Volkswagen, but all I can say is that I am meticulous about servicing this vehicle, and my fiance and I had the same genuine reaction when they first pulled the vehicle around for us and we heard the noise.

I explained to my advisor that I was about 99% sure that this noise wasn’t there prior to dropping off my vehicle, and he just responded that no I was wrong. I asked to speak to his manager, and was given the same response. There was no “we’ll look into this” or “we’ll talk to the tech”, it was simply that I was wrong. I pressed on a little and asked why this noise wasn’t mentioned to me on the phone or in the invoice, and why the cleaning/lubricating was not mentioned to me on the phone or in the invoice. At this point they just told me that they had forgotten. At this point they priced out the fix for me at around $1,500 (which is thankfully less than the initial $3,000 I was told when I arrived) and I left.

Besides the obvious issue that (in my opinion) my car was returned to me with a new issue, I am pretty disappointed in the position they took.

I came a bit too late and parts was already closed, so I sat around for a bit to charge up my car before heading back. Had a quick chat with staff who were very friendly and welcoming despite me clearly just loitering. The dealership is very clean and spacious, and crew were actively sanitizing surfaces. I will definitely be coming back to southcentre (at earlier hours) in the future for parts for my VW. Thanks for the free electricity!

I have been a customer of VW and specifically VW Southcentre for over 2 years. I have maintained the factory recommended service schedule at this location.
Today, I called the service department and advised that my check engine light had come on and what the possibility is for them to check the reason for this. I advised I am working so do not have time to wait for hours and was told I can bring in the vehicle for the service department to scan the vehicle using a scanner to check what might be wrong. I was booked in for 10: 30am (1 hour from the time I called)
After driving 25 minutes to get to the appointment, I was met by a service agent who after stating why I arrived said, "Who told you that? ". I took that as a bad sign. I was then told they cannot help me and that the car needs to be there for a few hours and it would also cost $170+ tax to advise the reason for the check engine light. Firstly, that is very expensive for a diagnostic of a check engine light. Secondly, I spent over an hour of my time out of my work schedule to come down to the dealership based on their suggestion to only be told to wait hours or go home. I now do not have time to fix this until next week and will have to drive my vehicle with the light on hoping for no damage.
I am extremely disappointed that Southcentre VW suggested I drive down for no reason. Additionally, the service agent did not want to help and only offered to have me wait for a few hours in the lobby. As I explained, I am working and do not have time to wait hours for a diagnosis and pay $170+gst.

The best Volkswagen dealer in the city and dealer in general. I bought my 2021 Golf GTI from there. People are really nice, I have visited a lot of dealerships but people here are on another level. They are really kind and professional. When I came to pick up my Gti they tinted my windows for free as well. I recommend it 110%, if you want to buy a new car this is the place.

I am seriously so impressed with the Service department at Southcentre VW, specifically Chad. I have been bringing my car here for 3 years for service and I seem to get him every time. He cares, he’s up front and honest about the work being done so there is no surprises when it comes time to pay the bill. I always know my Atlas is in good hands when I bring it for service. Having to modify my previous 5 star review from a couple years ago. I've been a customer for about 15 years now and think the service department has definitely lost their touch. When booking my car in for service I was told I had an airbag recall but that those can't be done on Saturdays so I'd need to book another appointment for that. Totally fair. I said I'd bring it in for service anyway. Brought my car in last Saturday the 19th and Tyler says I need work on the transmission and new spark plugs in addition to the service. I could only afford one or the other so I said let's do the transmission for now. He calls minutes after I leave the shop and says the transmission does not actually need work so we'll do the spark plugs, and there's also that recall so we'll take care of that today too. Great. Several hours later I hadn't heard anything, so I call Tyler and he says bad news-we don't have the part for the recall and now can't legally release the car to you (but the service and all the other work is done). We'll get the part on Tuesday and get it done then. No word on Tuesday so I call Tyler and he says the massive snow storm delayed the shipment so it can't get done. Fair, but it really sucked because I had to miss work the next day. And I was a little annoyed that he didn't call to tell me this. No word the next day (the 23rd). I left Tyler a voicemail saying I really really need my car back for Monday. I didn't bother calling Christmas Eve-the 27th because they were closed. No call this morning. I called Tyler-no answer. I call the main service desk who just transferred me back to Tyler who did not answer. I wait another hour and try again. No answer. Three hours in with still no word, I call the service manager. No answer. I leave a message for the service manager and call the person at the service desk again because it was seemingly my only way.of being able to talk to a human being. Another two hours later, the service manager Sean calls me back. He says they've got the part and they're working on the car right now. Three hours later, I finally got to go get the car. When I was paying, someone I hadn't dealt with before asks me if the car had been there a while. I said "About ten days. " He goes "Where have YOU been the last ten days? " All I could really do was laugh at that point. What an absolute sh*tshow. Just brutal. I'll be happy to change this review if it's any better next time.

The sales and finance staff we dealt with at Southcentre VW had very poor customer service and communication skills. The salesperson had little knowledge of vehicles and did not communicate with the service staff. This resulted in me having to return multiple times to the dealership for an issue with the pre-owned VW I bought. We also had to wait for 45 minutes to sign paperwork with someone in finance even though we had an appointment. We had the feeling that the staff were withholding of details and only interested in what would make them the most profit while doing the least amount of work, regardless of the impact to the customer. Overall, a very frustrating and annoying experience buying a used car from this dealership.

I've bought 2 GTi's from here, my son bought a Golf R and his girlfriend bought a Golf too, all a few years back now but I would buy from them again. The guys here are great to deal with, friendly, straight talking and no pressure. Only reason I didn't buy a 3rd time was that I fancied a change. Brutal. It says "Express Lane" on the building. A week to get a oil change? , buy a Ram and get it done in under a hour in their "Express Lane.

Fantastic service; in for an oil change and check up. Fast, complete and my car was washed. That is the kind of service I like.

Great service and always welcoming. They always ensure you are consistently updated during service, and people like Matt always check up on you a few days later to ensure everything is going well with the car and if its not, they are willing to squeeze you in to take a look.

Matt at South Centre Volkswagen always greats me by name and always does a great job on explaining the repairs that need to be done on my many Volkswagen vehicles. I would not take my vehicles anywhere else.

Only had some minor work done. Tyler in the service department helped. He was very courteous and good to deal with. Everything went well and had a good experience.
