This is a complete corrupted place. I went a few times and I can tell you they ripped me off badly. At least i had over $50 of depot in 8 full bags but got only $32. It seems some of their auto machines are off. The screen does not show the one by one count and their employee’ s screen also is only towards them not towards customer for transparency.
From today I no longer go here and I will make sure none of my family or friends go there too.
Cannot believe this!

I went with 7 huge bags I went back outside to get my remaining when I came back the guy took 2 more bags and called another clearly beside him and disappeared and stole my money

Harman's exceptional customer service skills were evident from the moment I walked in the door. She greeted me with a warm smile and a friendly welcome, which immediately made me feel at ease. Her patience were truly remarkable. She is a true asset to the South Point Bottle Depot team.

Sign says Southpointe bottle depot. With the new automation system, it is faster now but not accurate. And if their computerized counting system is not counting crushed cans, then we should still be paid with the bags of cans that they failed to count. They are aware. Most issues in the reviews are the same. And nothing has been done by them.

New sorting machines make a huge difference. Literally 3 minutes to get through $30 worth of cans and bottles.

RIP OFF! Beware.
Well this place used to be good, before the automatic counting. Now it's brutal. First of all the male employee started mixing my bottles with the guy ahead of me. Instead of stopping them at the table, he was allowing them to be counted with the other customers. I think the employee was on auto pilot, untill he realized what he was doing. I just ignored it.
Then as he was over pushing the bottles down the slide, into the spin table, they shot over the edge onto the ground, he didn't even bother to pick them up.
I was watching the pneumatic counters screen and keeping an eye on the numbers and values. When he punched them into his screen at the table, the one that's in front of you, the numbers and values didn't match. He then printed my ticket and it was nowhere near the money I usually get. I've been coming here for years and I never get less than $80.
This time I got $50 on the button. There is no way that would be correct. When I questioned him about it he just looked at me like I was from another planet.
The staff here is usually quite friendly, but this guy was an absolute moody jerk. Putting it lightly.

Super super quick and super super friendly! It was really busy but they got everyone in and out in no time! Love their new sorting machines.

What's going on with this bottle depot? Lots of complaints bottles aren't counted properly and just getting 1/3 of the return. Hey! Please calibrate your machine and I felt like loads of bottle
have been STOLEN from
me and I'd say from some customers. Just saying.

Every time i come here it’s always very fast and efficient! I had Raman the last time I went and he was super friendly and welcoming, definitely will be done back again to talk to him!

Make sure you count your items while they count. It's a "2 for you. 1 for us" situation.

Time to add some better details to your “Express Lane” sign. For example: 2 bags or less. Just creates annoyance for other customers and awkward situation for your young employee when guys like this line up with their 10 bags.

I've been coming here for many years when I get the same amount of bottles in 2 very large boxes. I always get between $35 and $38 dollars with the two large boxes I bring in. Now they are automated workers cut in half and my latest visit I got $21. I will find new location be warned.

As far as Bottle Depots go this is my favourite. Hardly ever a long wait time and they also have an express lane open 90% of the time. When it's not open it's because you can walk right up.

I will say this place used to be ery slow and I would stand in line for 10 ish min but since they got those new fancy machines, it goes by so much quicker. I had a nice conversation with a gentleman there and he asked how I was and making jokes. It definetly broke the awkward standing there as we both waited for the machine to count the bottles. But I have never had an issue here and I have been going here for over a year.

The automated bottle counting machine ripped us horribly. Counted over 1 L container as under 1 L. Never going back

The new upgrades are so neat! There’s still some aesthetic work to be done but overall the improvements are top notch. I really enjoyed watching the machines work and knowing they assist in accuracy is a plus

Automated counters don’t seem calibrated. I brought more this visit than last and my return was 1/3 lower

Very busy. The guy that assisted us was great. He was quick, efficient, and peronable.

Super clean location, very friendly sorters (the guy with the solid green turban at lane 6) was wonderful so friendly and made my son laugh and overall just such a positive experience he was smiling the entire time. I wish I caught his name but he really made it a pleasant time!

This was a nice bottle depot. The lines can get a bit long as it's the closest bottle depot to the McKenzie town area.

Always great service. Used to live by them now I drive past several places just to get to them.

Workers are so nice. Very quick for a busy place. Throw a couple of bucks in the tip jar! Very clean for a depot!

I was long time customer at this depot i saw few customers negative reviews. I pre count my bootles today and i find depot count was excellent. Floor was excellent. Even one of emplyee came out in rainy weater and help me out. I strongly recommend this depot.

I use south pointe bottle depot regularly, but had extra bottles to bring today. One of the employee came out to my car, to come help me bring the bottle from my car. Was not expecting that above and beyond service! Thank you so much!

We recently had a bottle drive for our U11 Soccer team, we filled 2 truck beds full of bottles, when emptied into their material big bags for counting we had 3 extra large bags full of bottles. When we received our cheque after they counted it came to $250.00, I strongly believe they were dishonest in their counting.
We did a bottle drive last month and took them to a different bottle depot, we received 1/2 the amount of bottles and took home $300. I don't know how they arrived at $250 for over double the bottles that we had on our last drive.
Have to say really disappointed both with results and for our Boys.

Would give ZERO Stars if this option was available.

This is the depot we usually use because it’s close to home. I don’t go with super high expectations so I don’t find myself leaving disappointed. Do they mis count? Possibly.it’s hard to say as they grab so many cans at a time it’s hard to keep up and I don’t pre-count my cans. Also English is not the first language of most of the staff and they probably only make minimum wage. So I’m not going to make a big deal over a few cents.

They seem pretty good. I’ve gone there for 3-4 years. I watch them count and do the count in my head and they haven’t made a mistake yet.

I don’t know what happens if I wasn’t watching though, but what else are you going to do if you aren’t counting along with them?

I wouldn’t recommend this bottle depot. I have gone twice just to make sure that I wasn't making a biased review but I have to say I was disappointed with the service. They incorrectly counted the bottles and short changed me both times. I understand if it is because it’s busy and they want to get people through quickly but there still is an expectation to be accurate when counting. When mentioning it to the clerk they insisted that it was correct, however I was counting along with them (especially because I only had one black bag worth both times). I will not be going back and I hope this bottle depot can correct these errors.

I went into South Pointe Bottle Depot on Sept 11th, around 4pm. The employee who assisted me behind the counter was Brian H. He was polite and thorough with the count. I was in and out in minutes. Overall, a good experience using this bottle depot!

Like it but hours are a little bit too short. Would love it if they made their hours to at least 6 or maybe even longer so I can go after work.

This place has great service but only star not give is because they don't have later hours past 5: 30

This was my first time ever visit to a bottle depot, saw negative comments so did my own due deligence. Counted all the items by catogory and had it on a paper, took me 5 minutes.
Within 1 minutes of standing in the line one of the service guys Mr A. D took me to his counter and served me with a smile. I found that not only the total items tallied but also tallied by category, not one more, not one less! Extremely honest guy. If I had not done my due deligence I would have expected to get a few dollars more, but figures speak for themselves.
To those who were expecting more and not happy, my advice is please take your time to do your homework.

Was absolutely fleeced there! An entire years worth of bottles and cans. 10 trips back and forth to my truck carrying full garbage bags of recyclables. Tally - 132 aluminum cans total! I drink a case of beer a week and my kids drink a flat of pop a month. Not to mention the rest if my bottles. I get it. You cant be totally accurate with that many bottles. A whole pick up trucks worth. But be reasonably close! Will never go there again. Brutal.

We did a bottle drive over the weekend with Southpointe bottle Depot for our dance school. I was super impressed with the service. I filled out the form online and they called me right away. They got the details, answered all my questions and booked us in.
We showed up on the day and they were ready and expecting us. Eddie helped get us organized. When we were done he came and counted the big bags we filled and said they would count Monday or Tuesday and cheque would be ready on Wednesday. He called me Tuesday morning saying it was ready to go! I went after work to pick it up and they handed it right over when I introduced myself. It was the easiest fundraiser we have ever done! I can’t wait to do it again! As a bonus for doing the bottle drive they gave us an extra 10% return! Thank you everyone!

We used this place for 2 bottle drives last summer for our soccer team. 15 mins before our drive started I called them to see where they were. They said the truck had no breaks & wouldn't be coming but they'd try to rent a truck for us instead. They called to say they could rent a truck but we'd have to pay our own insurance. The other option was for us to drive over there to collect a trailer, which we did.
They gave us huge canvas sacs to load our bottles in on site. Each bag was larger than the equivalent of my Dodge Durango trunk with seats down. I usually get $90 for a full trunk. We filled the trailer with 10 of these & only got $675.
We used them one more time & filled 11 of these bags & got less. I complained & they gave us an extra $50. They said it was because we had a lot of glass. When I picked up our cheque the envelope had the incorrect colour tags noted. I brought it to their attention & they said it was just a writing mistake & that it was indeed our cheque - clearly was not! Way to short change the kids!
We are now using Trail Bottle Depot. We did 1 drive & got way less than 10 sacs & got $654.

I like this bottle depot because they have electronic displays that tell you how many bottles you have and they even print a receipt for you to get your cash electronically.

The only reason you even get 1star is for close proximaty to my house. Half way through you changed counters. Ive never returned my bottles for less than $80, the first counter was on the mark, then all of a sudden the second counter was consistantly off as i was counting along. I knew how much i should have gotten before going in. It was off by almost $15. I will NEVER return to this location even though its less than 5mins away. From now on I will be going to the location i have been for 7yrs when i lived in the ne. Too bad, since i just moved down here.

I have been going here for several years and have never had a problem. The staff is efficient and as friendly as can be, given the volume they are processing. I don't count along with them because I trust them. Maybe they miss a few cans every now and then but who cares. They even have an expediter at the door to get you through as quickly as possible. I always tip when I receive my refund because I appreciate the service and how hard they work. It's a non-stop parade of customers (some not very nice) and they never stop. Thanks and keep up the good work.
