I picked up my new 2024 Crown limited from South Pointe Toyota. Before I reaching out to them, I looked through all reviews and wondered why Moon Park got tons of great reviews. Actually it wasn't that hard to find out the reason why. Like other reviewers, I have an impression that he tried really hard to make things happen for customer's side. He also focused on every little details and made sure I didn't miss any opportunities. His background as a Toyota mechanic for many years is a huge plus as well. I think he doesn't only sell a car but also shared many experiences and advises as a mechanic too. Don't speak with a random person if you need a car. I strongly recommend to connect with him first and you won't regret it. It was very pleasant experience doing a business with Moon Park overall.

edit as a reply - Brian, I feel like you glossed over some points in your reply. My review is not a 2 star because I didn't get any swag, the 2 star review is the shady business practices of attempting to sell me a 2023 truck as a 2024. Also not mentioned being the extended warranty strong arming from finance that was a time of purchase add-on only.

Its hard to believe how you would find wowing customers "irrelevant", considering customer satisfaction is a staple of the sales industry. Knowing about the kick backs dealers get from the banks for pushing financing I expected a little more effort.

I'm not going to call you, I'm the customer you have my info you can call me if you want to try and rectify the situation. I don't want or need your swag or goodies, just an explanation and an apology

I want to start my review by saying the sales and final walkthrough team at Southpointe is incredible and a 5/5.

I started looking for a Toyota last March, I walked into almost every Toyota dealer in Calgary and was looked over and ignored by all the sales and front of house staff. When I walked into Southpointe I was immediately welcomed and approached by a sales person who helped me through the process of finding and building the vehicle I wanted. I decided on a 2024 Tundra knowing that the wait would be 6-8 months before I could see my new truck. 6 months go by and I get a call that my 2024 Tundra is in, I get them to confirm on the phone that it actually is a 2024 and they confirm it. I leave work early and tentatively sell my current vehicle to a neighbor. I get to the dealer and am immediately pushed into the finance office to start signing all my paper work, I ask finance to let me see my truck before I sign anything and they toss me the keys and tell me to go walk out back and find it. The truck is exactly what I ordered, except its a 2023 and I confirm that with the VIN and also the tag on the keys that they tossed me. I leave the keys with my sales rep and tell him the story and he apologizes and sends me on my way to wait a few more months, before leaving I asked if I could get a call when they knew what factory features I was able to order for my new truck (at the time the. CA website did not show the 2024s like the.com and I wanted to add a few factory addons).

Fast forward to 2 weeks ago, my actual 2024 is in, no call to add anything from the factory but I really don't care at that point. Get in look at my truck, love it. Get escorted to the parts counter to go over my addons and price out the basics for a truck (running boards tonneau cover). The cost of the addons was what really shocked me, I ended up opting out of almost any of the addons except for a bug guard. I was told that I would not find these parts cheaper which I immediately found online the same parts cheaper, and eventually after getting my truck went to a GMC dealer to order me the same parts for a considerable amount cheaper. Finance also did not offer any discounts or "throw-ins", Its most likely my ignorance or naivety seeing that this was my first time buying a new vehicle that I thought I would get some special treatment, even the bare minimum like a Toyota hat or a pen would have been nice. I love my truck but I really did not leave the dealership feeling like a winner, maybe were the other dealers saw right through me like I was invisible this dealer saw me as a sucker, which I sort of feel like.

Also found some issues with my truck on the initial walkthrough and was told that they would get me booked in right away, have not heard from them at all.

Today my Sister just purchased a 2023 Jeep Wrangler, she was looking for a 4runner and decided not to go the Toyota route because of the issues I went through, and as a joke, or sympathy from the dodge dealer they gave her an extra swag bag to give to me, so at least I have something to fill my cup holders in the toyota.

TLDR:
love my Truck but I don't love the process
Sales people = Amazing 5/5
Accessories = 0/5 go somewhere else

I met a Moon Park dealer two years ago and bought a vehicle, and the experience was really great. As a technician, MOON HO PARK was impressed with his high level of expertise and friendly service in the vehicle area.

From the moment I first met with the Moon Park dealer, I was touched by his kind attitude. Steve was very knowledgeable about the different vehicles here at Toyota. I was inquiring about a base model Toyota Tundra as I assumed they all came with the hybrid v6, turns out I was wrong. The base models come with just a v6. So he showed me prices for trims that have the hybrid v6, and closed me a deal for a very good price. I recommend Steve. Great guy!

I had a great and seamless experience at this dealership. Just moved to Calgary and needed to buy a vehicle on a fast turnaround. Kevin Beavis was great to deal with, professional and easy to talk to. I visited many other dealerships before coming to South Pointe, but no other came close in comparison.

The sales Satjinder lied about the price. I phoned and asked about the price, he kept it secret. Then I wanted to know if it's low 30k or high 30k, he said it is low 30k. When I got there, instead of a print out, he hand wrote the price, and it turns out the price was 37k sth. It was totally out of my budget and not to mention he low-balled my trade in. Wasted my time. Worst experience ever. And this guy kept bombarding me with phone calls and texts after I left. No is no!

I went to buy my first new car. I bought a car through Moon Park and I was very satisfied. He helped us not only in the process of purchasing a car, but also in the process of meeting with the finance manager and registering in the registry. Moon Park is also a former technician and asked us to contact you whenever we need help after purchasing a car. We are pleased that this experience has led to have a good relationship as a human being, not just as a dealer.

My fiance and I purchased white Toyota RAV4 Premium XLE through Moon Park today, and I must say that my car purchase experience was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I stepped foot into the dealership until the time I drove off in my new vehicle, Moon Park went above and beyond to ensure that I had a smooth and enjoyable experience.

One aspect that truly stood out was the amount of time and attention he dedicated to us during the purchase process. By not scheduling any appointments after mine, Moon Park made sure he have enough time to go through every detail of the car. He patiently explained the features, functionalities, and options available, making sure I had a comprehensive understanding of my new vehicle. He even went to registry with us!

I already ordered the car in early April, and it was delivered around mid-June (RAV4) in 2 months, so the tanji is going to be 1 month. Moon in the south pointe toyota branch. Park is highly recommended. We had already decided on a car and were looking for it by visiting the dealer shovel, and as a result of visiting the first two places, we were really disappointed with the completely different service and price, and we gave up thinking that there was a place we could really trust and buy, and went to this place for the third time. I visited without any expectations. There was no booking for the meeting time, and the meeting and all contracts were made with exquisite timing, just like someone who knew in advance and met them. First of all, I want to give the highest score in the most important reliability part, and I don't think there is any dealer in Calgary who is so kind and does his best for each and every customer. From very small things to detailed explanations and comparative analysis, it was the best. Is there another dealer that can be impressed and 100% satisfied with a neat finish from vehicle registration to all procedures?
Moon is also an expert in vehicle management and maintenance. Become a customer of Park. In particular, we actively pursue the appearance of doing our best in customer management. I think you will be an example of a car dealership in Calgary, and I hope to meet more customers and achieve great results. One of the most "shady" dealerships in town
I would never recommend going there.

In the reps office, we agreed on a deal.go to sign the deal at the finance office:
1) sign a non refundable deposit agreement
2) sign the finance agreement WITHOUT the total amount shown on the document.
3) Calculated the amount myself and of course.it is different than what we previously agreed upon.

NEVER go to these dealers. Shady to say the least.

Stampede has always been upfront with me when it comes to the price and the deals.
I would recommend going there instead.

Not a good experience when I gave a call to ask about a car in stock on their website. The sales person told that they can't sell that car as there was no that particular model in other dealerships. Their website has this car on stock for sale/inventory which includes vin number, stock number etc.but they won't sell that car which is in stock - very strange. Don't care attitude saying that we got several good reviews and your review or business doesn't matter. Not reliable, Not trustworthy, lack of good customer service that's what I experience from this dealership.

BEST EXPERIENCE AT DEALERSHIP EVER! I've been to so many dealers, and my experience that I had with Kevin & Rishi was TOP NOTCH. These fine gentleman helped me negotiate my new Rav4 with trade-in. Bought new 4 Runner here couple months ago. Told them i will be back for a truck. Day i call to talk about truck, the guy i dealt with on 4 Runner answers phone by saying “is there something i can help with, im actually on the way out” before i could even mention why im calling. Then another guy from there calls, ask me info to get started on a truck, i reply and he never gets back to me. So tired of this joke.

Mr. Moon Park is very great. I just bought a used Corolla a few days ago. He was really kind and helpful, and we were very happy and enjoyed the process of buying a car. He is also an expert about the car itself, and we could hear many things about the car, which really helps us choose a good car. Even if we had a problem with check signal for tire air pressure after we purchased a car, he was willing to help us and solved the problem.

I strongly recommend him to anyone who wants to buy a car, and I will also definitely contact him again when we buy a second car!

Purchased a vehicle here, everything went very smooth and fast, especially the sales representative Moon Park, he explained all the details and all the functions of the car, and he always had a towel in his hand to wipe down the ducts and finger print on on the day we pick up our vehicle, even its spotless already

From sales to delivery we received top notch service. Craig went above and beyond. Mike from finance was informative, to the point and not too pushy. The gentleman from the delivery department (sorry, can't recall his name) was awesome! The entire team we dealt with was just amazing. Really appreciated the level of service we received from South Pointe. Highly recommend.

My lease for my 2017 Rav4 came up just recently and I was dreading having to go through the process of purchasing a new lease. Luckily a family member of mine just recently went through the process herself and highly recommended the car salesman, Moon Park (who was also a prior technician), at South Pointe Toyota. We ended up meeting with him and I have never felt so at ease and not pressured in the slightest to buy a car. It was obvious to me that he is passionate about what he does and goes above and beyond to make sure his customers are well taken care of. Not only is his approach to making buying a new car excellent but he comes with an immense amount of knowledge regarding the technical aspects of the car. If you are in the market for buying a new car, I HIGHLY recommend Moon Park at South Pointe Toyota! It truly was the best experience I have ever had in a car dealership.:) And I look forward to continuing to do business with Moon at South Pointe Toyota in the future!

I felt lile I was in great hands to get the best deal ever. The Financial Director was very nice as well. It was a fun and smooth process. Very unhappy with the way this dealership treats their customers after they have purchased a vehicle from them. They refuse to give me tire warranty for my BF Goodrich KO2 tires I purchased through them (~$600+ value) that are 6 months old with less than 20,000 km on them. Story below.

I purchased a 2018 Toyota Tacoma at Southpoint Toyota Calgary in June 2020.3 months later, I purchased new BF Goodrich KO2 tires through the dealership, and had them installed in September 2020.6 months later (less than 20,000 kms later on the tires), I was working away in Red Deer and experienced a wheel vibration at highway speeds. The tire pressure was to spec, I rotate my tires every 6000 miles, and 2 weeks prior I had a wheel balance.

I went to the Red Deer Toyota (licensed) dealership and had them perform a tire inspection, thinking it could be another wheel balance issue. After the inspection, the dealership concluded that the rear passenger tire had separated due to a BF Goodrich manufacturing issue. I was informed that I need to go through the dealership where I bought the tires (Southpoint Toyota) to gain warranty for this single separated tire (at $350+ value). At this point the separated tire vibration had worn down my other back driver's side tire as well. I had the Red Deer dealership remove the tires from my truck because the separated tire was unsafe to drive on the highway. I put my stock tires on the truck for the time being because did not have the aftermarket tires in stock.

I took my concerns and appropriate paperwork (from Red Deer Toyota) to Southpoint Toyota in order to receive warranty for my expensive and relatively brand new 6 month old tire. The paperwork from Red Deer described the following: "the rear right tire has been separated by x distance". Southpoint Toyota read the paperwork and claimed the following:

-The tire is not separated (even though the Red Deer Toyota paperwork said so)
-I cannot prove where the tire was located on the truck because it was not physically labeled on the tire (even though the Red Deer Toyota paperwork claims it was rear right tire)
-The tire was damaged due to an alignment issue

I decided to get an alignment done by Southpoint Toyota (~$200) to prove this was not the cause of the tire damage. Southpoint performed a wheel alignment and found that the FRONT wheel alignment was off, which causes wear on the front tires. When we discovered that the front wheel alignment was off (and not the back, where the tire was located) Southpoint claimed that I cannot prove the damaged tire was on the back of the vehicle (even though I have paperwork showing this).

With the alignment and the 2 worn out back tires it will cost ~$800 in repairs out of my own pocket for tires that are 6 months old with < 20,000 km on them.

I went in for a Red Tag deal and the salesperson told me it was only a way to get people to come in. This place is a fraud. They all lie.never coming here again. My brothers and Sisters this place is bad. Stay away.

I really trust SouthPoint Toyota for all the professional and exceptional services I always get. I went for a windshield rock chip repair and the nice lady alerted me on a recall on my car even I did not ask about it. This is really showing how the dealership cares about customer investment and how the dealership is keen to provide an exceptional experience each visit. I called to make an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation, when I arrived I was told my vehicle had a recall and they couldn't perform the work that day so it was rescheduled. Brought it back a second time and the work was completed however the price was double what I was expecting. They admitted they performed more work than what I asked for but offered no reembursment. Only saying we followed toyotas maintenance plan. Brutal customer service, they do not care how much they inconvienice you or the fact they just lost a customer. Bring your vehicles elsewhere for service work.

TLDR: Always check your tires after routine service

Went for a routine service today. After they finished, I noticed a screw was still stuck in my tire. Tire pressure checking and validation was a part of the maintenance routine but they didn't notice a big ol' screw stuck in the tire.

I had to go back to get the tire patched and had to pay for the patch separately, despite having already paid for the "service 2" package. I understand that it should be charged separately, but I seriously doubt the quality of the services provided here if they can't even find a screw stuck in the tire.
