Southern Alberta Eye Center

This is a very busy eye center. The only way to get in there is to be referred by another optometrist. The staff were very friendly and efficient. No Nonsense just in and out Bing Bang Boom

Doctor was good but expect hours for your turn even you have an appointment. Took us 3 hours to see the Specialist.
Next time was 5 hours in total.
They should focus on time Management.

They treat people in a very rude way and the receptionists are very mean, dr.ryan was treating us very rudely.

Let me begin by saying that the staff here are courteous. The reception check in was quick, seeing the lady, Angela who tested my eyes was also quick and thorough. The wait however to see the specialist was loooong. From start to finish, check in until I left, was over 3 hrs. Be prepared to wait and if your appointment runs past 1545, have a charged phone because they turn off the tvs.

I saw Dr. Kassam and his assistant. They were great and the fact that they were tired and I was annoyed by the long wait, (I was the last patient of the day) didn't diminish my care. Everything was discussed and my procedure was completed with confidence. After care instructions were given and a follow up appointment booked. I would like to give more stars but that wait is a real problem.

My father had eye surgery at SAEC (new and state of the art) and could not be happier that this was an alternative to having to be admitted to the Rockyview Hospital and all the stress that goes along with that. Dr. Williams is amazing, and the entire team was efficient, compassionate and professional. Thank you!

My husband had 2 eye surgeries at saec and it couldn't have been any better, ample parking, reasonable wait times. Appreciate the staff and surgeons, he received excellent care.

This is the best eye centre in Calgary. Lots of parking on site. You have to pay if you park on the property. Free on the street.

There is a coffee shop onsite incase you have to wait for someone or your appointment.

Staff are very friendly but some sighted guide training for the staff is needed. I noticed that most of the staff at the individual clinics have no clue how to assist visual impaired individuals.

So appointment was scheduled for 12: 30. Told to come instead at 3: 00.7: 30 my husband final was seen. We missed our Theatre performance, we certainly would have given the tickets away had we known. Such a waste. Seven hours past the original time. Complete disregard for other peoples time. How can the scheduling be so bad.

I just drive people to appointments here. The place seems ok, though always busy. Plenty of pay parking, and if you are lucky some free street parking.

Complete disregard for everyone's time here, appointments can take up to 4 hours, which only include maybe 20 minutes with the actual doctor. Why schedule an appointment if they have no need to care about you showing up on time? They will also reschedule appointments with very little notice, which is inconvenient if you have to travel and book time off work for them. If you have any other option than this place I would take it.

I currently see Dr.wong and he is great but one of reception gals very abrupt.
Does not wait for you to finish asking questions before she gives answer over the phone.
Politeness and courtesy go a long way.

My first visit to the Southern Alberta Eye Center was 5 October 2020 for a retinal tear, found by Dr. Chris of Ranch Market Eye Care in Strathmore on 3 October 2020. Dr. Williams and staff conducted tests and also performed laser surgery on the tear, all on 5 October. Follow-up exam by Dr. Williams on 23 October showed satisfactory healing. All down the line, I was treated with courtesy and professionalism. Kudos and my highest recommendations to all involved. Thank you.
