The parts and service here sucks, the guy who I always deal with is incredibly rude and they seem to always want to downgrade me to a dirty baseline loaner whenever my car goes in. To top it off the guy I deal with is a “will only deal with men” kind of person since he called my husband instead of contacting me (no call, text, email) over my vehicle… don’t love that. Worth driving to the west end just to avoid dealing with the chauvinism here.

Disappointing After-Sales Experience at Southgate Audi Edmonton

My initial experience with Southgate Audi Edmonton when purchasing our Hyundai 2016 Tucson was pleasant, but unfortunately, the after-sales service has left much to be desired.

Seven months into owning the car, we found ourselves facing a major issue with the engine, necessitating a replacement. This came as a shock, considering the relatively short period of ownership. What made matters worse was the fact that we had previously experienced problems with the door latches, indicating a pattern of issues with the vehicle.

Upon reaching out to Southgate Audi to discuss our situation and explore possible solutions, our experience took a disappointing turn. After making the initial call and explaining our predicament, we were promised a callback from the dealership. Regrettably, this call never materialized, leaving us feeling neglected and frustrated.

The lack of responsiveness from the dealership, especially in a situation where our vehicle has been out of commission for an extended period, has added to our dissatisfaction. It's disheartening to find ourselves in a position where a car we purchased just seven months ago has required not one, but two major repairs.

The overall experience has left us questioning the reliability and quality of the vehicles sold by Southgate Audi Edmonton. Purchasing a second-hand car can be a nerve-wracking experience, and our current situation feels like the embodiment of that nightmare. As a result of the ongoing issues and the unfulfilled promise of a callback, we currently find ourselves without a car for an extended period, further exacerbating our frustration.

In conclusion, while our initial experience with Southgate Audi Edmonton during the purchase was positive, the subsequent handling of our car's issues and the lack of communication have cast a shadow on our overall perception of the dealership. This experience has certainly diminished our confidence in the reliability of the vehicles and the after-sales support provided by Southgate Audi Edmonton.

Southgate Audi went above and beyond for us during their busiest season. We just had our tires changed and were needing a tire balance. We showed up and Ziad, Jenn and Bassim managed to not only fit us in, but had us out within the hour. Extremely thankful that I don’t have to worry about anything while driving my kids around!

Been with the dealership for awhile now. I’ll say they have lost their all-star rep Greg who was always helpful, no pressure sales. Maintenance appointments have been good. Terry has always been helpful, going as far as saving me a larger loaner for a pseudo-test drive; and always being mindful to get me back in vehicle and on my way home at the end of the day.

Worst experience ever. I'm with my wife found audi Q 5 that we liked on audi website, it was located at south audi Edmonton, we drove there to view vehicle on friday, we talked to salesman Nelson Worsley, he sad that it's available but it's in the shop and that we will be available to see it Monday, we sad that it works for us and that we very intrested to buy this car before i will fly back to work. We booked appointment on Monday between 2 -2: 30. On monday i recived call from salesman that vehile is ready to take a view and to confirm appointment, we arrived and went for test drive, we was satisfied with vehile condition and was ready to buy it when salesman sad we have to wait, i asked why do we have to wait and he sad that other people came couple minutes before us and negotiating price to buy this car. I sad we booked appointment for this particular vehicle and you selling to someone else, they wasted all our time to tell us this.we were there with down payment, direct deposit form and license plate. Manager was trying to tell us that they decided to who ever comes first will be served when we had appointment, and that we should wait and see if the other people will buy and if they refuse that they will sell it to us, they made us feet like if we were some kind of second class of people. Then manager start trying selling to us another vehile, i sad after this experience i don't want to buy vehile from them. I knew they won't be able to offer similar vehile of same year with this amount of km and same price. I always believed audi was standing for their name and service but all i saw that they don't care about their costumer and only care for quick sales. After it happend to us i checked reviews and they did same thing to another person that booked appointment and flew from another town. Poor, poor.

Probably the worst Audi Service ever….
Booked my time for early Friday morning but to drop off Thursday and pick up a loaner!
Called reception at about 5: 45pm to say I would be arriving 6: 05 due to traffick! No probs as I could pick up my loaner till 8pm
I arrive at 6: 05 and go to the main reception to pick up my loaner…. She says there is no loaner for me! I told her this was booked through the service department and it closed at 6pm!
She stated she did not know that and nothing could be done now! Told her I drove almost an hour just to get here….
I stated WOW, very good service! I would go to the other Audi dealership where they care about their customer!
Had initial problems with customer service when I bought the car from Audi Edmonton South. Never received any customer service from them as they did not care ….

Really…. The worse Audi dealership ever!

I only came here because Jen, my service advisor transferred from Audi Edmonton North! She assured me the good service would follow….

It must be hard to give good service to customers but the rest of the team at Audi Edmonton South doesn’t care!

I have been taking my Audi to Southgate Audi since I bought it preowned from a different dealership. Norman in the service department has been awesome handling all the details of my service requirements and now dealing with a warranty claim through a 3rd party. Highly recommend and I will definitely purchase my next Audi from them.

This is a mixed review with some good and some areas that weren’t. This covers sales, services, parts and front desk. I hope the people looking into Audi have a good experience.

I purchased a preowned 2020 Audi Q3 back in August. It’s a really great vehicle! I had a great experience with Chen who was very chill and not pushy. Iliya was amazing, he really fought to get the best deal re fiance. Later in October I went to purchase winter rims and tyres. Dan with his knowledge was exceptional and offered a great deal with those. I can’t express enough that these 3 people made the experience exceptional and if it wasn’t for Chen and Iliya, I wouldn’t have got the Q3.

Unfortunately the other interactions within the sales, services and front desk really dampen the great services listed above. Firstly Jason, I can appreciate the style to be firm is needed in sales but it was just plain rude at times. Before speaking to him, I was ready to leave the deal even after putting a deposit down. To handle a discussion with him, I had to provide knowledge about human behaviour to defend myself with his questioning. I am grateful that after this that he understood where I was coming from and later paid for the maintenance package. I was surprised and impressed by this gesture. If it had not been for this, I would’ve withdrawn from purchasing the vehicle completely and made a complaint regarding this interaction.

The young women with blonde hair at the front desk was exceptionally rude when trying to process my payment for rims and tyres. My card allows for large transactions and when it didn’t go through, she said it was my card. I confirmed this with my bank at the time and they shared to me that it should go through and there could be a limit on machines. When telling her this, she was dismissive and she said she has processed large amounts like $15000 before. Needless to say when we broke down the payments in increments it went through. Just classless.

Then lastly, the poor communication in the services dept. I arrived at my appointment time for a winter tyre change with Jennifer. I assumed they were running behind because it seemed busy on arrival. A man said she would get me when ready and said to have a seat in the meantime. I was left waiting for almost an hour where I had to inquire to them. Jennifer took me a few moments after and said she wasn’t aware that I arrived and apologised. When I went home, I waited 5 hours for a change of tyres, inspection and wash the vehicle. They did not honour the time I needed the vehicle back which interrupted my schedule later that evening. I was given a video link of the inspection and the tyres which was helpful. When I got back, Jennifer wasn’t there and a lovely man helped me instead. He was trying to figure out the service invoice and struggled to find my vehicle; thankfully he found it! I called the next day to iron any questions I had with Jennifer and it ended relatively well. She was helpful in answering follow up questions I had about my next estimated service date and cost.

All in all, just do better guys! You have a lot going for you and good moments. People pay lots of money for this brand and service.

I trade in every 3-4 years for the last 30 years. I just bought my first Audi. By far the best service I’ve ever had from any dealership. Sales staff were great, finance was very organized, even went and switched my registration at the registries for me. Go see Rob Dawes. My next vehicle will be from this dealership.

Was looking for a specific SUV and found one via Kijiji at Southgate. Inquired and got a response from Nathan Baugh. I work odd hours and over weekends and Nathan responded to each message quickly. I'm an out of town buyer and Nathan picked me up from the airport and ensured the whole process was seamless. In and out of the dealer within 45minutes.

Very happy with the service from Nathan and Southgate. I would recommend this dealer and Nathan to anyone without hesitation!

Came from Calgary to purchase a SQ5. Had the pleasure of dealing with Rory. He was extremely helpful in helping us find the right spec and got us the best deal possible. Then dealing with Ilya with our financing was also a 10/10 experience. Ilya did his absolute best to get us the best approval possible. I’d highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market. They worked as a unit and insured we left Edmonton the same day with the car we wanted. Thank you guys!

We were in touch with MARCO regarding purchasing an Audi etron Q4 on Monday he told us we can purchase the vehicle if we purchased the mandatory protection package and finance the vehicle @8.28% even though we wanted to purchase the vehicle cash which we ended up agreeing to doing this as we really wanted the vehicle even though we knew we can qualify for a lower rate and would never use the protection package but as we were told that is the only way they would sell us the vehicle we agreed today after 4 days of today tomorrow deposit etc we got told by Rob that we cannot have the vehicle which is very inconvenient as we waited 4 days and did not go anywhere else and now we are without a vehicle definitely nothing like the luxury vehicle purchase experience not only were we lied to but being pressured into purchasing things and financing at a higher rate than needed when we would’ve happily paid cash without even driving the vehicle

As a smart buyer, 5 star strictly and only for the parts department. Big thanks to Dan for always assisting me with ALL my parts purchases. His insight and recommendations are worthwhile. Service department with Ms. Samantha C. She was informative. She was able to answer all my inquiries-we only had one miscommunication but was resolved kindly. I wish I could service my vehicle here. But unfortunately I find it understandably overpriced - so I do the majority of the service intervals myself. Sales, positive marks to Mr. Rick Young. I wish I was able to acquire a vehicle from him. Meaning I politely went elsewhere because I was disappointed how little importance I was from the other person whom I tried to communicate with. I went elsewhere that became very happy to earn my business.

The staff here is excellent and very professional! They will give you a very fair price for your trade! Highly recommend! The service team is also great! Only recommendation I would like to give is for them to remove the portion that you need to fill the loner car up with gas upon return I just drive to my house and back to the dealership and it’s a hassle to have to get gas in there too. No other place I’ve taken my vehicle for service has required this including Honda, Lexus, Toyota, Infiniti

Rick Young is truly a credit to the profession. After dealing with the charlatans, fraudsters, snake oil aficionados, and the random assortment of buffoons the car sales industry employs - I was convinced the exasperation I was feeling would last forever. There were nights I would wake in a cold sweat, shaking with existential dread, terrified I would have to spend another day milling about a car dealership waiting for a salesman to call me "bro" for the 19th time that day.

I visited Southgate Audi, hat in hand: desperately praying that someone there would give me an honest interaction. Someone could be the beacon of light the industry so woefully deserves. I was introduced to Rick, and within a few moments I realized that I had met a true gentleman in every sense of the word.

I found myself sitting across the desk from Rick, and couldn't help but feel a smile creeping over my face. As he was explaining the process going forward, I felt a hush fall over the room. Is this what it feels like to be taken to a candlelit dinner? To be wined, dined, and treated to a good time? I could get used to this. His execution? Elegant. His honesty? Unparalleled. His demeanour? Superlative.

Before I knew it, I had found the car I was looking for. I was elated that my search was finally over, but moreover, that I wouldn't be relegated to riding a bicycle. I find spandex bicycle shorts both too revealing, and subjecting my coworkers to that sight would land me in a penitentiary.

After signing the paperwork, I was introduced to another outstanding individual: Illya. Illya can be many things, but I've come to know him as the epitome of integrity, diligence, and charm. I couldn't imagine a nicer guy, and the paperwork process was completed in the most friendly and upfront manner that I've ever experienced. I'm genuinely blown-away that this type of interaction can be had in the car industry, let alone the car industry in Edmonton. Not a "bro" to be had throughout the entire interaction. I couldn't be more pleased.

Following that, I met someone named Marco. He was a quiet young man, eyes brimming with excitement and enthusiasm. As a prominent recipient of the coveted "employee-of-the-month" award, I knew I was in good hands as he helped me through the technology portion of the car delivery process. He exhibited a helpfulness and enthusiasm that I wish I had the energy to exude.

To summarize: If you're looking for a new Audi, this is the only place you need to shop. Audi Edmonton North was a colossal disappointment, and almost ruined the prospect of buying a new car for me. I am extremely grateful and thankful that I could interact with Rick, Illya, and Marco here at Southgate. They made the experience totally delightful, and I can't think of a better group of people to do business with.

I had a great experience from start to finish. Started with the 2am dream car shopping online. Spotted a recent RS 7 trade-in. Wrote an inquiry. Received a prompt reply from Rory the next morning. Some back and forth between Rory, manager Jason and myself to make the numbers work with my cash, trade in and financing payments. Drove there overnight and was delighted the next day when Anastasia discovered that I was eligible for an even better financing rate that I had initially expected. Anastasia basically upgraded me from my black S4 to a white RS7 for an additional 19 dollars per month on my payments. I save that in car washes.
Drove from northern BC to Edmonton Friday night. Into the dealership by 830am. Trade in and financing completed and back on the road before noon. They even took my call after hours with a few questions about my car while I was on the road home. A great experience all around.

Would never recommend this dealership to anyone. Bought a certified vehicle in March 2021, found out it had pre-existing damages they never disclosed. Refused to do anything to help! Paid premium price for the car too! Jason Hill was a completely rude manager. Tried to pawn us off on another dealership! Will never go back! Buyer beware! They’re a scam!

I would not recommend this dealership, go to Audi North! At least they try to go the extra mile to win your business.

Recent experience: I bought a CPO car from this dealership. I was recently trying to change the summer tires to winter. I had never done this before and found out you need a clip to remove the caps on the lug nuts. I was lucky I didn’t get a flat tire otherwise would have found out the hard way.

Dealership said they couldn’t comp it even though it should have been included in my kit from the beginning.

Very frustrating considering the amount of money we spend on these cars.

I visited Southgate Audi yesterday for an oil change and was received by Mr. Norman Burgess. He is nice, knowledgeable and helpful, explained every details of the work, and sent me the vehicle check report by email so I can read it thoroughly to understand what the situation of my car is, and he finally set up a reminder for the works need to be done by the time of next service. He made me feel i was taken care of. Thanks to Norman!

I'm changing my review to 5 stars as today I finalized the deal with my new vehicle with little to no issues. Big shout out to Rory in sales, from a previous negative experience years ago i thought i would never be dealing with this dealership but Rory is proof that people can really make a big difference and bring loyalty back. Rory was very patient with me, recognized the concerns i had from the previous experience and went out of his way to ensure that i was happy with my deal this time around. I am now looking forward again to do more future business with this location.

We’ve been visiting Southgate Audi for maintaining service since we own our first Audi. Not until recently we relocate to BC and dealt with some other Audi stores did I notice Southgate Audi did such a fantastic job on what their doing. Southgate Audi cares about their customers and vehicles! They’re sincere and always try to be helpful. Also a huge thumbs up to the gentleman who works in the part department (sorry for forgetting his name). We recent bought our second Audi in BC due to the great impression we had, I wish I could deal with Southgate Audi.

Found a vehicle they had listed online. The whole process was quick, smooth, and no nonsense. At no point did we feel pressured. Was contacted back everytime promptly. Their fees aren't out to lunch.

I live out of town and did most of the transactions electronically. Nathan Baugh made this buying process very painless. He was up to par with updates and very knowledgeable with his product. There were some issues that we came across on the delivery day but Nathan addressed it with flying colours!

Marco is the man! Very professional and he was of great help with the purchase of our used Toyota Venza. The tranzaction was fast and smooth. It was a sunny day, got a used Audi A4 Allroad with 15000ish km, the previous owner wasn't keeping any service records. I went to Southgate Audi as the second stop after another one, the first place said the service records are not shared in their database, so I went here.

Waited for some time in from the services desks then got greeted by a rather old guy with impatient face, explained the need of records, still impatiently looking at the computer screen, definitely working on something else, like I'm a guy working for some pyramid scheme organization trying to sell some junk to him. Even reluctant to print out the records, told me there is nothing to reveal in the first place, I told him the other place printed a bunch of the records but seems all the rest of the records after the end of 2019 are from this south place. Great, finally printed out that stuff.

When I left there, a piece of parts quote from the parts guy when I was waiting for the service people was left at his table, I realized that after left the parking lot, made a U-turn then headed back to his desk. He said already tossed it. Never mind, I was about to get another printed copy from the parts guy. He put his hand in the garbage can then grabbed out the parts paper, stared at me. "HERE IT IS" Well, note that it's covid time. I was shocked at the scene. "Oh okay, thank you so much. "
Well, this directly reminds me of the layoff experience before the pandemic, handed with the envelope contains the in-lieu money, similar staring eyes, "you'll have to return the company laptop"
Came out sitting in my car, with the AC on, thinking about this, comparing to the harsh old day, it feels definitely better for having a life like now.

Another thing is that the parts paper has my personal info like name, address, phone number. It was simply tossed into the garbage can (mainly for customers to put coffee cups?) without stuff like shredding? What if I didn't realize left that piece of parts paper?

Harry our salesman was awesome to deal with, he was so helpful with sending us a detailed video of our car because we live in Calgary and couldn’t see the car in person. He helped so much with facilitating us to have the car perfect for when we picked it up. Paulette was so sweet and bubbly and offered us bottled water and cookies when she greeted us at the door. Jason, the sales manager was so accommodating to listen to any of our questions and he addressed all of our needs with the car and worked out a fair deal for both parties. We finished our visit with Amanda the finance girl and she was very detailed and we had some good laughs!

Their customer service was great from start to finish from everyone who we came in contact with! We would highly recommend South Gate Audi - worth the drive from Calgary - 5 stars

Best dealership experience yet! The parts department is very knowledgeable and knew exactly which parts I needed. After speaking to their service team I decided to book my car in for the work. Their team does an amazing job of making sure you're taken care of. They had a courtesy vehicle reserved and I even received a call mid-day with an update. We went to Southgate Audi to test drive the 2021 Q5 after doing some online research. Our sales associate was Yizu who is professional, knowledgeable and easy going. He explained the different models/ trim levels and pricing in detail and answered all our questions patiently. We ended up buying the 2021 Q3 with all the "bells & whistles" instead as it fits our life style better. On the day of pick up, Yizu took the time to explain all the features and functions. I called him the day after when i could not figure out something and he spent 15 minutes on the phone explaining it step by step. We truly appreciate Yizu's exceptional customer service. Their sales manager Kris is great too, he went above & beyond trying to get us the best deal to earn our business. Jason in finance is very friendly and easy to deal with for paperwork.

Had a very positive experience in our recent purchase of a sedan from this dealership. The sales team was fair and easy to work with. Thought the price negotiation went smoothly and at the end of the day, was not getting the run-around and just felt we were being treated fairly (all you can ask for, right?). Found the parts crew to be friendly and helpful when purchasing accessories and winter wheels. The service team is also very good and unlike say, Edmonton BMW, it is not an issue to get a courtesy vehicle whatsoever here. The lifetime car washes are a nice perk.

With my parents and myself working in the automotive industry, I have never bought a vehicle from anyone other than my mother. I called for a vehicle and Rory was a great introduction to the Southgate Audi team. He picked out a vehicle that worked for me in terms of what I wanted and how much I was comfortable paying.

Jason in finance understood that I work in the same position as him and was even willing to drop a few tips for me to use so that I could learn from him and his experience!

Overall, I am pleased to have joined the Audi family and can't wait to enjoy my A4.

Litrice my service advisor was very professional, kind and understanding. She answered all my questions and explained to me how critical it was to change out my 3mm worn out brakes was; and driving this weekend having done the brake change and flush saved me precious braking power from backing up into another vehicle. Gerry the parts manager is a grinder, I asked about a trailer hitch for my vehicle and he got back to me shortly about hitch options he's dug up and answered all my questions & concerns about the installation processes, I feel that was great service as he saved me the hassle of trying to figure out what fits and where to get it and what it actually took to have a hitch installed on my vehicle.

I came to the Parts Department for something specific and also undefined due to my lack of car knowledge. Gerry understood what I needed quickly and helped me out. Lesson learned, come to the Parts Department first.

Just took delivery on an A4 Allroad with Akram Altabbaa. Made the factory order placement, provided build status updates, and made the pre-delivery walkthrough an informative (coming from competitor brand) and SEAMLESS experience. Knowledgeable ‘car guy’, organized, and very professional. If you are looking into an Audi give Akram a call! Overall, awesome experience with both him and Southgate Audi! Will be back in the future.

Came in to look at a Q5 had a verbal agreement on the table with a price and when I came in by MYSELF to put a deposit down and drive the car again they changed the deal. Chris the sales manager was very disrespectful to me and rude. He wasn’t that way the first time I came in with a man! I did not end up buying the Audi went a bought another car at Range Rover where they treated me properly. Chris is that slimy car salesman that you expect. I have told a lot of people about my experience at Southside Audi and everyone is appalled at how I was treated.

Booked a service appointment to have a leaking thermostat changed, which they had in stock and didnt need to order. Both Terry and Lexie were both very helpful and courteous. Car was returned super clean and was finished in no time. Great service here!

I was browsing their website since lastweek, I saw this 2017 Audi SQ5 that I’ve been wanting to have eversince. I sent my inquiry and Akram saw it and replied to my email. Akram is really an awesome guy. He really knows how to listen and he truly understands what his client’s needs and situation. He is very patient and very accomodationg too. I also wanted to commend his manager, Chris for helping me out as well. Kudos to the whole team of Southgate Audi, Best Dealership I have experienced so far. I will definitely going to recommend Akram and Southgate Audi to my friends and colleagues.

We've bought a few vehicles from Southgate Audi over the years and have always had a good experience with the sales team & financing team. Purchased an R8 in a private sale and have brought my car in for inspections and maintenance at Southgate Audi and have always been treated as if I purchased directly from the dealership. Had one major issue this past summer with a miscommunication but the management team was quick to correct the problem & I will def continue to bring both my audis to Southgate in the future.

Nice to see business being done right, ethically, & honestly!

I had an amazing experience at Southgate Audi! There was no pressure and I felt like Rory really cared about my experience and made sure that I was comfortable with my purchase. He took great care of me, as did Jason Hill in the finance department. I highly recommend Southgate Audi!

Disappointing service here in getting into a new car with a trade. I came in and the dealer was in a hurry to get me into a new car. They even took my 5k deposit well in advance of me getting into a new car. When I finally got into a new car. They started contacting my again saying they wanted there car back. I had walked away with a good deal and they hadn’t bothered to do there due diligence. I tried to fight it but they just got more and more difficult.at the end I got back into my old car and they didn’t even give me my 5k deposit back. Very disappointing! If you can stay away from Kris a sales manager try to!

I send my friend to buy car here and he told them as well for my Referral bonus and they bargain with him about not to give me referrals and they give him auto start which is also lie that it’s Audi Auto start of $1500 but it’s vision $500 Auto start. Vary cheap Managment.

I've been dealing with these folks on and off over the last 20 years between my 2001 Jetta and now 2011 Audi A3. Always amazing service. Norman has been there for a very long time and is always, professional, helpful and honest. Even though I couldn't afford anything on their showroom floor, I'm still treated with respect as a paying customer.

There was a mistake booking my appointment. I was asking for this Friday and I was booked for next Friday. Without hesitation they sat me down looked at the schedule and got me in. Maybe they weren't super busy today, regardless there was no fuss and as always great customer service! This is why I continue to use Southgate!

I had my car deemed non-repairable in a recent hailstorm, and my interim rental car was an Audi. Consequently, I fell in love with the make and was determined to find one within my budget. My experience purchasing my car from Southgate Audi was remarkable. The Audi brand specialist Aleah went above and beyond to ensure I had all the information I needed regarding my car throughout the entire process. In fact she reached out today to to ensure I was happy with my purchase. The sales manager Rob made every effort to make me feel confident I was getting my car at the best price. And finally, Jason in finance answered all of my questions and was able to find me a payment plan that worked within my budget. Walked in this past weekend and was immediately welcomed by Kris the sales manager. He introduced us to Akram and we were fortunate to have had our interaction with him because we just came from a different dealer and it took ALOT of time for someone to even acknowledge us! Akram sat down with us and throughly showed us some vehicles we would be interested in.
