Recently purchased a 2024 Tucson Ultimate. JP from Southtown Hyundai was very professional to deal with and found us the SUV we wanted. BUYER BEWARE! DISHONEST DEALER! I was helping my girlfriend look for a truck to replace her old one. They had a Ram 1500 here that they claimed had no accidents or damage. Before we could even come to see it they assumed we had cancelled our appointment (there's no emails saying we did but somehow they think we did) so the next day they showed us the truck. Upon our inspection we found that this supposed good condition truck has been rear ended and the bumper is dented, exhaust hanging and scuffs on every corner not to mention mouse feces in the console and under the hood. They were asking premium prices comparing it to trucks with zero damage. Needless to say we left as this dealer wasn't even willing to negotiate on the price. If you're looking for a vehicle the great sales team over at Koch Ford went the extra mile to get us what we wanted at a price we were happy with. My girlfriend is now the proud owner of a new F150. The honestly and transparency from Koch makes this the only dealer I'd ever go to.

I would not recommend this place for parts very bad service. I ordered some parts and supposed to be only two days shipping and end up being two weeks. Also they don’t even call you to give you an update on the parts. They look like they don’t want to be working there

I want to leave a good review but I'm currently getting screwed around while purchasing a vehicle from here. Definitely won't be recommending this place in the future and they will be lucky if I don't lash back with legal action soon

They promised us a $500 loyalty rebate for owning a Hyundai vehicle when we purchased our car back in May and we’ve been trying to get hold of him for months and he’s been ignoring us.

Avoid Southtown Hyundai if you don’t want to deal with liars.

I bought my vehicle from the dealership at 19,000 km roughly. Now that the car has only 41,000 km on it. I am having so many issues with it. First, I was told my engine is burning oil too fast. I had to replace the rear shocks already, the wheel baring on my steering is gone. MY ENGINE HAS A VIBRATION IN IT, WHEN THE CAR IS IDLE. I trusted Hyundai's brand and got the car. I am extremely disappointed with the brand itself. The dealership itself, is making things worst, by failing to communicate, on what is wrong on a timely basis. They will tell me a new thing, every appointment. They would either schedule my appointment without consent or not schedule anything at all. It is a brand new building and the service and brand is very poorly presented. I have tried multiple times to get hold of the manager and 3 months in, not a single call back. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ANY COST.

I recently purchased a new Santa Fe from Paul MacKenzie of Southtown Hyundai, Edmonton. I can easily say that Paul has been the best car salesman I have worked with.
As the early process of purchasing a new car began with Paul, I can say that he was not at all pushy on getting a sale completed. A HUGE plus, in my eyes! He gave as much information as I needed (Paul is highly knowledgeable about Hyundai vehicles) and then let me know that when I was ready, we could begin selecting a vehicle that was suited to my needs. As such, he was then committed to working for me and a deal that worked well for my budget and driving needs.
Paul is incredibly personable and worked hard to get me in my new car which, I am truly satisfied with. A very positive experience indeed and I would recommend Paul to anyone.

Recently purchased 2 2022 hyundai hybrid vehicles. Sales experience was great, no issues coming to a deal for both cars. However, when the deal went to finance it was nothing but problems. Had to argue with the finance manager to get them to write up the deal as was signed by the sales team. Finance did not honor the interest rates that was signed for on the sales contract. I spent hours dealing with them over the issues. Finance could not find the sales contract and made a show of flipping through the pages saying its not there (even though I pointed to it as they flipped over it). The finance manager refused to acknowledge the agreed price with the agreed inclusions and exclusions. When the finance manager gave me the deal he only gave me the last page and said sign here. When I asked for the rest of the contract to review it was no where near what had been agreed to. Finally the sales person came in and had to tell them to write up the deal as agreed. I still haven't received the pet covers that were to be included on the contract and I refuse to go back to that building. When I finally went pick up the vehicles I had to spend more hours hanging around the building because Noone seemed to know what they were doing even though I could see the car sitting in the lot. After driving them both for several weeks now theyare both great cars to drive. For anyone looking to buy, DO NOT GO TO SOUTHTOWNHYUNDAI!

I visited several dealers, and definitely had the best experience with Paul (and later with Cory). Paul listened to what we wanted, didn't aggressively up sell, but made us aware of all options. His communication is the best and he keeps you in the loop on the progress. Thank you Paul!

Went to test drive an E vehicle, gave me a crossover with only 15% charge. Had to stop in the middle of 99St. To reset and restart. Not happy, just returned the vehicle and walked out.

This is probably one-if not the best-customer service experience I've ever had. My car wouldn't start last night so had it towed this morning. I was in a panic because I leave for vacation in a week and have a slew of appointments lined up. I called in at 1pm and spoke with Jesse one of the customer service reps. Considering that it's tire season, Jesse worked so hard to squeeze me in with the myriad appointments they already had. That's in addition to providing me with updates through out the day. I was beyond elated to have my car done within a day even though they didn't have to! So, thank thank thank you Jesse!

Very disappointed. They will take care of you until you buy vehicle. After that, they don't care. Most of reviews are fake and paid. Never ever go to Southtown Hyundai.

I recently had my car in for service to get a few recalls done and I was not happy with the process. First, I was not told that their shuttle service didn't run on Saturdays, so I had to pay out of pocket for a ride home and back as I was not waiting there for 3 hours. Secondly, I didn't receive a phone call or text saying when my car was done in service. I called them, only to find out there service department closed at 1pm and my car had been done a while ago. If I didn't call to find out what was happening and get to the dealership before 6pm, I wouldn't have had a vehicle for Sunday. It shouldn't be my responsibilty to do your job for you. I guarantee if it was a service that costed money and wasn't under warranty, I wouldn't be writing this review. Overall, not pleased and when I gave a suggestion about how they could improve their customer service, they seemed to care less. I would recommend going to the North/West Hyundai dealshership instead.

We received a quick response on our email inquiry about the vehicle we were interested in, the sales person was knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole process. We had a great experience at Southtown Hyundai. Audi and Haley both helped us through the process of buying our first car in Canada - the 2022 Tuscon Ultimate and we love it.

Audi kept in touch with us after we made an enquiry online, and he let us know when stock arrived and booked us in to see it. At the Dealership we met Haley who was lovely and took us out for a test drive and told us more about the car. We ended up buying it, and it was an overall great experience. Era the financial manager was really helpful and friendly too and able to answer all our questions throughout the week!

When we went back in to collect Audi and Haley even took us to get the registration information needed and Audi was very thorough in showing us all the features of the car and really knowledgeable about it.

I found this dealership coincidentally looking on auto traders and decided to stop in to take a look. Wade instantly greeted us and was very pleasant to deal with. He knew what we were looking for and the price range, and he was amazing and made it happen for me! I also dealt with Tristan when I went to pick it up, and there was a minor defect with the starter. She insisted on giving me a loaner while she got it fixed to ensure my new car was in perfect condition. Both Wade and Tristan definitely made this a great experience for me!

Had a horrible experience here when I bought my 2011 Genesis. The pictures didn’t show the huge scratch it had. Tried to get out of it but it was too late. Later I knew the payments were also too high when I signed but I was not aware at the time how horrible this deal was. Was told I had to purchase the warranty and didn’t have another option. Took advantage of the fact I was a first time buyer. Don’t recommend this dealership to anyone.

I went there to look at a bmw that was listed for sale. The salesperson was really professional and welcoming and made sure that everything was good with the car. And even took me on test drive given the fact that I was very interested in the car.

However, when I was presented with her store manager. At first, he refused to share carfax details of the collision detail for an amount of $29000. And said he cannot get me that information due to privacy act.
Privacy of a CAR? !
If someone is willing to buy a $70,000+ car. That person have every right to know what exact type of repairs were done to that car. Especially if they were close to $30k

On top of that, at the time Of negotiation, the manager asked me to give him a number that I thought was fair for that vehicle. So, for a vehicle that is listed for +70k I had offered $66k. At which point the “store manager” said that I’m wasting his time as well as my own. Which was very rude and unprofessional.

I would never ever recommend anyone to buy used or new car from Southtown Hyundai.

I’m a businessman too, and we don’t treat our customers like that. And that was the least that was expected from a “store manager”.

My car engine broke down when I was in Calgary, and its 3 weeks there now and no car provided for me by my dealership southtown and the service place i went.i keep paying my dues without even using my car and they are not providing any rental either.

I had my previous vehicle written off and was not expecting to have to buy a new vehicle so soon but Wade was able to help me get into my dream Hyundai Kona for a price that was in my price range! He listened to me and worked with me to find the perfect vehicle for me at the perfect price and was just as excited as I was to find it! I did a pre-approval a few days before going in and when I got there the whole process was so easy! Era was so helpful in explaining the ins and outs of the warranties and helping me understand exactly what I was signing (it was my first vehicle purchase) and even helped me with transferring my registration! It all took just under an hour from the time I arrived which is ideal I think! I will absolutely be back to see them again when it’s time for an upgrade and I think even my parents will be going to them for their next Hyundai purchase! Had to take my car in for service, had to wait 1 hr for the shuttle to drive me home, last pickup was 3: 30 but my vehicle wasn't ready until 5, so was stuck waiting for an hour and a half. The next morning, my car had its check engine light, called them and they had no urgency to work on it as I was told it's another hr and a half wait. 3 hrs of my life wasted

I did follow up with a phone call to the managers after the weekend and was further frustrated + displeased with the treatment I had received

I was with a friend of mine who is thinking of buying a new vehicle. Luckily we were approached by Kyle (Hope I got the correct name). He is probably the best sales person I have encountered so far. Very modest, not at all pushy, and provided us with all sorts of numbers as and when we asked and all with a pleasant smile. I am not sure if my friend will end up buying the vehicle there or not but Southtown Hyundai is a better place to purchase a car because of him.

This was the best and quick vehicle purchase experience I’ve ever had! From the time i entered parking lot i was greeted by staff (JuJu the body builder) to meeting the Manager (Tony) …. I was looking for a new Hyundai and had a terrible experience previously with another dealership, I went in prepared to be pressured into buying, being told I didn't know what I was talking about or looking for.

When I went in I was greeted by Mandy, first and foremost she was excellent, no pressure, easy to talk to and as a female it was nice to be able to deal with another female, she understood what I was looking for and didn't try to sell me something that wasn't for me and my needs.

I then met Cory, he did a great job making sure everything was in order for financing, again no pressure to buy anything extra. He answered questions honestly and explained things fully.

The lastly there was Joyce after everything was finished up with Cory she made sure that I knew about how certain things worked in my new vehicle and made sure that I was happy with my choice.

Overall my experience was pretty easy and Smooth, I really liked that there was no pressure it made it comfortable, relaxed experience and would recommend people check this dealership out.

I went to Southtown Hyundai in May to buy a 2022 Tucson but it didn’t materialise. I dealt with Sammy who was very professional and nice. So when I was in the market for a Santa Fe, I immediately called Sammy to fix an appointment as I knew I would feel comfortable dealing with him. And rightly so I walked out with the Car on the same day. I want to thank Sammy for the extra time he catered for me on the day even though it was a Saturday.

I managed to get a good vehicle and the sales team was very responsive. However I did not appreciate that every time I spoke with the finance department the numbers seemed to change for the worse without explanation and they flat out refused to show me anything in writing until the deal was finalized and they took the liberty of adding packages I had no interest in expecting me to just sign and pay for them with the vehicle. While sitting in the office I also felt rushed and pressured when I wanted to take a few minutes to actually look over the numbers and read the terms and conditions. I did end up with good deal and I'm happy with the car, but take your time, ask questions and stand your ground when it comes to working out a deal

I had the pleasure of accidentally stumbling across Southtown Hyundai while searching for a vehicle on Autotrader. I sent a query and ended up dealing with a salesperson named Dawn and it ended up being a straightforward and pain free experience. She took the time to go over the vehicle with a fine tooth comb and let me know of anything she thought I should know do when I arrived to inspect the car there were no surprises whatsoever. I did a parts order from here and I was told a certain date that it would be coming and the part doesn't show up and I was told that it would be here on a particular date and it doesn't arrive. NO CALL, NO EXPLANATION OF WHAT HAPPENS UNTIL I CALL. Was thinking of them doing maybe just settling and letting them do the repair but after this NO THANK YOU.

I went near close and they still made sure I was satisfied and stayed late. They made sure everything worked. They let me test drive the car. They gave me a great deal and were very easy to work with. Juju was the sale associate who helped me out.

Came in and juju gave me the best deal and finance rate and dean in finance was amazing they helped me out a lot no gimics they were straight up about everything and honest I would recommend anyone to come and get a new ride from them

The buy/sell part of the experience was great
But the used vehicle was not as good condition as they said. Their inspection sheet said the brakes were 90% and 100%. But by the time I got home it was clear the rotors are completely shot. Also the front bumper is falling off too. Flapping in the wind. So I wouldn’t trust their inspection at all as I have about $1000 plus worth of repairs to do in the first week. But the sales/financing people were great.

Worst customer service. I got delivery for car and had some thing that were not informed to me during deal. Now when I contact them they are puting all blame on me. Car came with no licence plate frame so I could not hang my licence plate on it. Also Car has rear bumper scratch which they blame on me even though I did not move car of the driway due to licence plate frame issue. Rim is damaged even though I asked them about the condition and they said its good.car came with one key as it supposed to be 2 key. Now I calling them so many time and they called me only once and blaming on me instead of fixing it. They told me they will be able to fix the plate and will find key but now they not answering or my problem is not resolved. They did not disclose the information to be about licence plate frame, Key fob and rear bumper scratch. Also They told wrong information about rim when I asked about the condition. They called me and I explain the situation. They sad they will let me know but i am still waiting for reply.

Southtown Hyundai is the location where we purchased the Tucson. The vehicle came with the oil change package, which includes a free oil change every 6000km. On most occasions, our car receives a hassle free service. Minus the constant recommendations that seem to cost $$$ each service, we appreciate the free oil change every 6000km. Service representatives are always friendly and willing to cater to our needs.

Why bother taking appointments for oil changes, if you cant even work on the car at the time of the appointment? Ex) Made an appt for oil change two weeks ago, come in at 8: 15 on Saturday morning and am being told my oil change will take a couple hours because there are other cars that got in before mine. Get yourscheduling system figured out. Today is the last time I will allow myself to dissapointed by this dealerships terrible service department.
Edit: took 1 hr and 15 minutes, not the two hours I was initially told.

I had a great experience with both sales staff and sales management at Southtown Hyundai! I worked with Richard, Mike and Corey. I came to Southtown several times over the course of a week and ended up working wth a few different fellas as a result. I felt all three were helpful and knowledgeable. Richard was who I ultimately made my final decision with and I truly felt he had my best interests at heart! He helped me finalize a great deal and I also felt he had my back. Which is really a gift when it comes to sales staff in any field. He was down to earth, kind, and helpful and I didn’t find him to be pushy at all! Richard went above and beyond to make sure the vehicle was in perfect condition for me to take home. He even did some of the detailing himself because he knew I wanted the dash cleaned perfectly as the previous owner had glued something or an ornament on it. He also introduced me to a service staff, another Richard, who was also very kind and knowledgeable! It was my first bigger vehicle purchase and I had a limited time to find something so I was under a lot of stress. All in all, I found the staff friendly and helpful! Also, worth mentioning was a lovely lady named Ana, a finance manager at Southtown. Since this was my first big vehicle purchase I had a plethora of questions and felt I needed direction in making the right choices. Although Richard was also willing to answer any and all questions, Ana helped me a lot too! Ana was super down to earth and super helpful and even though I was likely being obnoxious with my 101 questions she took the time to answer them all and have a laugh with me too. Really there is no better cure during a stressful time than laughter. I felt like she was my stand in friend while I was there. Thank you to Richard, Ana, and the other staff I worked with at Southtown Hyundai! You all made my first time car purchase a memorable, easygoing, and great experience!
