S&P Construction

S&P came out to quote and build my new cedar fence. They answered all my questions and were very patient with me. Will be contacting in the spring again to build my deck:)

Great experience! Asked for a quote on a deck and Sterling gave me one right away. He came to my house and showed me samples of all the Fiberon composite materials he has to offer. Told him I did not want brown, then he managed to pitch the perfect 2 color combination of Fiberon Sanctuary Earl gray and chai colors. He also explained all the ins and outs of deck building to me, and his passion for deck building and construction truly showed.

Screwpiles were quickly put in and Scott and crew came head of schedule and worked hard and finished in a day in a half. I got an amazing final product! Sterling answers all questions that I had and provided excellent follow up service. Highly recommended!

Did great work. Even moved up the installation date when our dog went blind (we had a 7ft high deck with no rails). Would recommend!

Disappointed. I haven’t had any work done by S&P Construction but based on lack of customer service I’m sure that glad I didn’t.

Things got off to a good start as Sterling promptly replied to my original email asking for a quote. He requested that I send him some photos of the project that I inquired about so I promptly sent an email back to him. I waited over a week and did not receive a response from Sterling so I sent him another email to follow up. Once again waited another three days and I still haven’t received a response back.

It speaks volumes about someone’s character if they choose to ignore you instead of just saying straight up that they’re not interested in the project. Any good contractor would at least politely decline and perhaps even refer some other contractors that would be willing to take the job.

Once again I’m not commenting on the construction side but rather the lack of follow up and customer service. I never even entered into a contract with this company but now I definitely won’t be.

We recently had a stamped concrete patio, stone fire pit, composite deck, pergola and fence installed by S&P Construction. Sterling was great with design ideas, Steve did a wonderful job with the concrete and stone and Scott kept this large project on track. Any issues / questions were dealt with professionally and in a timely fashion. We are extremely happy with the finished product, it has transformed our back yard into a private oasis that we will enjoy for years to come.

Great team of workers, but office staff were very defensive when contacted and claimed their cleanup was as good as possible even after seeing pics. Perhaps observing the damage first hand would have been beneficial! Still working on recovery a few weeks later and no compensation offered.

From start to finish, the process was easy and stress free. The consult was quick but thorough, and Sterling offered suggestions while also understanding our needs. The team that came to build the fence was proffessional and friendly, and they worked very quickly but not at the expense of quality. The fence and gates look fantastic, the price was fair, and we couldnt be happier.

Great job on our new fence! Work completed on time and on budget despite bad weather. Would highly recommend!

My girlfriend decided to go with another fence company for a few reasons. The owner Sterling, who was nice at first, became very arrogant when we mentioned we were going to get a few other quotes. He almost became hostile. He started selling us on the fact that he has journeymen carpenters etc. That is great however it gave my girlfriend more reason to want to shop around because we thought his price would likely be high. In fact, his price was the highest out of three other reputable Edmonton fence builders. I am not going to mention the company she hired but the results were awesome and she saved about $1500. My advise is to shop around before going with these guys and don’t be fooled by Sterling’s charm, as it can change very quickly.

Couldn't be happier with the work that was done. They were extremely fast and professional, and they kept the worksite tidy. I've already had neighbors inquire about using the company's services. Definitely recommend.
