Moriah Little, customer service rep paved the way for us to successfully host a party in our home with cocktail tables, glassware and Moriah suggested coat racks which were a godsend. It was a partnership that made for a great party!

The professionalism and friendliness of the pickup and return staff should be noted as well. Two great guys whose smiles never left their faces.

I will be back for rentals in June for my daughter’s wedding.

I rented linens from Special Events and the whole process was seamless with amazing customer service. Picking up and dropping off was easy and I appreciate them ensuring we had everything we needed! The quality of the products was great and we loved how it made our venue look.

Hosted a large gathering - Special Event Rentals was extremely responsive and easy to deal with leading up to the event, Mietek and Kiki (the delivery drivers) went above and beyond during delivery and even helped to coordinate return of one item which we had mistakenly ordered, and which Special Events refunded us for (even as it was our mistake).

We had our venue order our linens through Special Event Rentals for our wedding reception. When we went in to peruse their fabrics and colours the staff there was very helpful in pointing out the perfect alternative fabric that accommodated our colours. The venue took care of the set up and take down and the transaction with special events but the linens were clean and looked fantastic!

Ryan, Jaydel, and Stephanie were all very helpful and pleasant. They delivered my packages right to my car despite both side-door loading bays being occupied. I was helped as soon as I arrived for my pickup and my overall experience was very professional!

Visited the premises of that establishment to have put together wedding decorations. I will add in the beginning all appeared to be customer focused and staff appeared friendly. However there was a drastic shift in attitude when an authorized entity was elected to act on our behalf. I am not sure if the staff gain commission on sales but one female staff in particular her attitude of subtle arrogance and rudeness became evident. With orders placed in advance, one particular item was unavailable at their warehouse. Was NOT placed in delivery because they were out. They spared no effort to have informed me. Without consultation they went on to change items on my order. Only at setting up realizing the items were not sent, I enquired, was assured it would be picked up. On arrival with the Chimneys they were NOT the required sizes. They were not used as a result. That particular staff afterwards gave all sorts of excuses to satisfy their malpractice and insisted that I pay for the changed items. Their excuse was that it was out with me, when they could have rented it out to someone else. They failed to take responsibility for their actions of malpractice and cheating customers. Be careful especially when it’s your first time dealing with this pricey glamorous deceiving hell hole.

Good selection and during their promo events you can get ~15% off of your rentals as well, this and All West weddings are the best rental places we found for selection and price in Edmonton.

Their tent staff are great! They put up a large tent in the middle of some terrible weather, and did it cheerfully. They are worth every penny!

Wow. We planned a last minute elopement and we were blown away by the customer service and flexibility that we experience when dealing with Special Event Rentals. We would use them again in a heartbeat beat. Jennifer was amazing to deal with!

We rented chairs for an out-of-town wedding and the sales staff were SUPER accommodating with our pick up & drop off timeframes. Very impressed with their customer service. The ‘Vinyard’ chairs are absolutely gorgeous and made the space look amazing!

Service is good. Picking up rentals and dropping them back off is quick and efficient. Rental pricing is fair, some better than others when compared to other rental companies so just do your research beforehand. But all of the staff are always very friendly to deal with. They have a lovely section of guestbooks, cake toppers, signs, and other decorations that make a nice touch to any wedding.

Little dissapointed in the lack of service. We went in, and had one girl at the reception desk playing on her phone who kindof pointed in the direction that we would have to go, and so we looked for our own table clothes and stuff, but with nobody to help us, we left. I guess we will take our business elsewhere.

Easy to work with and got a wonderful silver sequin backdrop from them for our wedding! They are easy to organize with and prompt with replies to questions. We picked it up the Friday and returned it the Monday. We did end up getting rentals during a sale time in the winter, as rentals can be pricey. 5/5 stars

The showroom is a fantastic space to put your ideas together and create a solid vision for your event - they have so many rental items to explore. The website is also a great resource to price things out while planning within your budget.

Pick up and drop off was easy and straight-forward. The consultants were thoughtful and didn’t hesitate to answer any questions we had. The items were clean, clearly labeled, and securely packed upon pickup.

“I telephoned to confirm hours of operation, the person on the phone was very helpful and was able to confirm that you had the items I was looking to rent. Upon arrival a different person assisted me and they were equally as helpful and friendly. The transaction for payment and bringing the items to the front of the store was very fast and and efficient and I appreciated that the warehouse person brought the items out in a bucket and put it in our car. That made it so much easier for us to transport and bring it back in one container. Everyone that assisted me was extremely helpful and friendly. It was explained when to have the items returned by and that I would receive paperwork via email advising when all was returned. We rented a raffle drum and were overall satisfied with the promptness of the access and the way the business was conducted. The actual drum was damaged and had the potential to hurt a user unexpectedly. But overall things went ok.

We rented charger plates for our wedding. They were white with gold trim. I received a phone call to inform me that some of the plates that were in our order would be slightly off white, more of an ivory than a true white. Celine wanted to make sure this was okay. I said yes and when we received the plates she was right, I could hardly tell the difference. However the fact that she called me to tell me about it and asked if it was okay showed that she and the team cared about my vision! I was so pleased to receive the call and it gave me confidence in their customer service. Thanks:)

I used Special Events Rentals for my wedding reception and ordered everything from tables and chairs to cutlery and napkins. I was even able to rent chair tie backs And backyard games from them! Every interaction I had with Special Events Rentals was extremely positive. The items I rented were in very good repair and my reception was beautiful as a result. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They were careful with the items and very respectful of the house we had the reception at. I would use them again without a doubt and would highly recommend them to anyone. Ten out of ten!

We recently had our trade show at the Doubletree in Edmonton, using Special Events. As usual, thanks for Jennifer and her crew, the set up and move in went extremely smoothly. We have been using Special Events for around 10 years, and Jennifer has been extremely helpful, prompt responses and all accurate. We will continue working with Special Events, thank you to all!

I inquire for a spandex cocktail table cloth and Alicia gave me quote. Schedule the pick up at 10 am today. I was there pass 10 hoping that they will prepare it for me so I can pick it up and not to wait for a long time. Arrive and met Alicia send me to the warehouse. Waited there for a few mins until they told me they don’t have stocks!
Alicia’s reasoning was not valid telling me that in my system shows we have. I told her you think I would understand that?
Frustrated and disappointed! Left the venue nothing. Hope you fix your system so you get complaint. And make sure your stocks is available before taking payment. Your taking advantage of your customer. Now I have to wait for few business days to get my refund.
In the first place if you had check your stocks this won’t happen. Please update your system.

Poor service!

I am very grateful to Special Event Rentals and their awesome customer service! I first got in touch with Special Event Rentals as I was assisting with a volunteer-run event and was curious if they provided discounts for charitable causes. I ended up hearing back from a customer service representative, Krystal Asham. She was extremely courteous and prompt with her responses and was even able to get us a bit of a discount on some items! I was frequently emailing her to verify prices and ask about different items. She was always quick, informative, and polite with her responses. I also had to adjust my order a couple times due to budget restraints and alterations in plans for the event. Again she was always very accommodating and quick to send me a new quote.
We decided to use the option to pick up and drop off our own items to save on delivery. They allow you to pick up the day before and drop off the day after. This was great because the day of our event was very busy and it would have been tough to schedule pick-up/drop off. My family picked up the items for me and said the warehouse staff were very helpful with loading and professional. We even made a last-minute addition to our order and the staff were easily able to accommodate this.
Even though the order was fairly small (6 tables, 4 pop-up tents and a megaphone), and we were provided a discount, Special Event Rentals staff still made it seem like our event was a top priority! I am extremely appreciative to Krystal and Special Event Rentals as a whole for their excellent customer service and would definitely recommend them.

One of the best plce for linen rentals in edmnton.their DIY section is super helpful to just experient and find the arrangement for you.also the staff was super helpful with their suggestions.the staff who assisted me, can't remember her name, also gave me tips that I used in our event. Rent linens with thoese people. They have tablecloths, napkins, and those long fabric cloths. Will go back again on our next event!

While I had a pleasant experience with my consult, prior booking leading up to the event, quality of the rental equipment, and even the set up, some things outweigh and cloud this portion of my event.

One issue upon delivery was initially with one employee I was told the standard delivery and set up time would be adequate. Later on I was informed I may want to spend more on the delivery, to ensure they arrive by 8am as my order was large and would likely take the day to set up. I also was informed I would be paying the delivery fee twice, as my order required two trailers.

Delivery was prompt and on time, and Im glad I spent the extra money to ensure they were set up by 5pm, as it only took them until 11am. Oh, and it all arrived in One truck/trailer as well. Plenty of room, to even include others orders on their travels.

After my event, the truck was also prompt, after a wedding at 8: 30am, with no prior phone call to arrival. I happened to be outside to catch them, luckily, as it may have been interesting to see what would have occurred if I had not been there to expect them. Maybe extra charges? It does state I need to expect their arrivals and calls, but that didn't occur. Anyways, the crew did not even have an IPAD or list of rental items to pick up, which was great considering I had a few items from different venues. Good thing I was there, in the yard, the full length of 2 hours it took to disassemble and pack up (don't worry, I have security cameras that observe the truck coming and going for time stamps). The crew wasn't sure what to do with the linens, that I had specifically mentioned came off their truck the Friday, so they left them.

I received a closing contract email in my inbox 3 days later.

2.5 weeks after my event I receive a call about the linens, and that they need to go back. No issue. However, the multiple calls and emails regarding this situation was alarming, and it quickly became clear that these linens were due at an event occurring two days after this inquiry. The manager had even suggested that I should be aware of what items go back, etc. Perhaps correct, and my apologies, however should it not be In the hands of the company to know what they are to pick up, account for the day of? Or perhaps when they unload the inventory at the location? Maybe not 2.5 weeks after the event in a scramble.

I never hesitated to return the linens, in fact due to the urgency of the situation, I made myself available that evening to ensure they could be picked up. That yet was not good enough again, as I still received calls "checking if they could come earlier than arranged" although I had specifically told the manager a time for pick up, when I would be home.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the quality of the rental items, and my booking experience was fair- good, the horrible organization and client handling after the fact outweighs any good. Due to the errors on the company's part, I have been left feeling as if I was the irresponsible one. I truly hope the client expecting said linens for their event received them, as it would be a shame your event would be less than you expected due to poor organization on an expensive rental company's part.

Best place for party tent rentals! Customer service was amazing. Help for our wedding was proactive and they even suggested things we didn't even think about. I will definitely recommend Special Event Rentals Edmonton to my friends and family members.
