SPEEDERS Indoor ProKarts

Went there last night with my family (group of 7) had a great first couple races and went for another round of races and I completely regret it. The worker there named George (Slim brown male, with black hair and glasses) was disrespectful from before the race started to the end of the race where he was shouting at me very loud in front of my family. He ruined the entire experexpeience by disrespecting us and then during the race, he made the speeds so unbelievably slow that it was pointless and not fun at all. It was embarrassing that I had to argue n shout with him front of my family after I spent almost $600 dollars.
I asked them to refund JUST the race HE RUINED. I will never go back. And I will boycott this company until something is done with that worker and what Im entitled to. A refund on a Ruined race. They were reluctant and they actually picked up the phone to call POLICE because I demanded a refund.
Manager on Duty: Jaidyn. He did nothing but defend the worker even though he witnessed the worker (George) shouting and yelling at me in front of kids. George and Jaidyn could have simply "apologized" to de-escalate the situation.
I will take this matter to civil court!

Sooooo they tell you not to crash into the other drivers but some rednecks seem to specifically enjoy crashing other go karts. Get ready to be crashed!

But I mean it's pretty fun. The karts go pretty fast, you feel some centripetal force going around the corners, you try to beat your own time.

Pretty solid for a "once in a while" activity.

Don't waste your money here unless you enjoy having your race controlled by the staff the whole time.

I absolutely LOVE coming to Speeders! The staff are amazing and it's such an awesome place to go for family fun or even a date night! Go karts, ax throwing, darts and some pretty cool arcade games to play. They have food and drinks available to buy.
My family and I keep coming back, and I'm so happy we heard of this place after moving to Edmonton from BC

We had a group of us from work head out for some races as we are all F1 fans. The place was clean, had a bunch of different activities aside from racing like axe throwing and bowling and has a bar as well for those not using the tracks. We had a great time and the pricing was reasonable!

We came in with a group of 12 for my sister in laws birthday, it was so fun, the staff were accommodating and the waits in between our races were short. We also got to play some games and really just had a great time as a group!

If you are looking to go fast and have a good time look elsewhere. The employees will dial down your speed and give you lectures if you go too fast. Absolutely ridiculous, i will never return and ive told many people that the place is an anti fun scam

Probably the most fun I have had in a while. Great track, short wait times. It is a little expensive but the upkeep on that track and those karts must be high, so it's justifiable.

I was here with my parents and my sister for her 18 birthday and I loved it here it was fun, I still can't drive even if I knew how to play Mario kart

Really, really fun. The carts were great, especially #7. But me and my group weren't a big fan of the new track.

Me and my gf we been there on the way to Alberta from Ontario. It’s really fun if you like indoor racing. It would be great if it’s outside for me.

Absolutely would not recommend anyone to waste their time going to this place.

Really fun activity to do with friends, unfortunately we don't go more often as it is quite expensive and over very quick.

I don't recommend it guys. Not worth your money. They keep stopping you in the middle of it, to let others pass. Not enjoyable.

They don't let the race be a race. Kept telling others to slow down. Can find better places to race.

One of the staff is rude, stopped me twice to tell me keep left and let others pass. What's the point of the race if you keep stopping them and let others behind me pass, where their not even close to me. Nonsense. I'm here to have fun but not worth it.

I strongly don't recommend it. What's the point of being called speeders if you're gonna stop me and let others pass? And being told to keep left, keep left. And being stopped twice! It's not worth it. Ruined my day.

Not worth it guys, don't go on speeders. They're just gonna keep stopping you from the race and let others pass when they're not even right behind you. Why call it SPEEDERS if you can't race right.

Messed up on one of the race result but it was due to technical difficulties.

So fun and exciting, they have electric cars so they speed up really fast, staff is really nice and the place has a good size, totally recommended

Went here today with my family. They were going to let me on because I just met the height requirements (with the shoes I was wearing). Me and my daughter are the same height and they denied her. I took off my shoes on my own to see and I was under. Then they decided to tell me ok now you can't. I sat in the kart with the booster seat and I had a slight bend in my knee and was able to press the gas and break easily. Another Filipino guy came over (who was the same height as us) was critiquing every small little thing. Saying my legs were too straight. So we ended up going to Fast Track and had a way better experience. This place was just horrible. Made us feel so embarrassed and went went back on approving me. These people are on a power trip. We should have been able to ride. Absolute joy suckers.

I went to Speeders on Saturday night with a group 5 people.it was really expensive, I felt ripped off after I left, it cost 140$ for 5 mins of racing for 5 people, one of our friends who was with us, had a panic attack after a couple of laps and couldn’t finish racing, after I was finished racing I asked for a refund for the one person that didn’t finish. I was told they didn’t give refunds. He did offer me a free race but I had to use it that night. Just an all around bad experience and not worth the money at all,

Fun and safe. Those karts go pretty fast! If you have a profile and race 5 times you are allowed to take the faster karts. We went for work, it was a great time.

Had fun racing around the tracks, prices were fair. It was as big as I expected but still enjoyed time spent here

Great experience, the karts where good few sounded a bit scary but they never broke. Overall a fun and a great time.

I had a friend visiting along with his 12 year old son so we decided to try out Speeders. The fellow who treated us at the front counter was very friendly and helpful. The cars were much faster than the ones we tried at Fast Track and we found the track to be more technical which we loved. I'd recommend this facility if you're wanting to teach your kids proper driving skills. They do have a height restriction in that all drivers must be 5' 1" or taller. All in all, a great time, hosted by really nice people. We'll be back!

Speeders is horrible. Karts are garbage and very uncomfortable. Fast track karting is the best and fastest karts in Edmonton. Dont waste your money at speeders.

Witnessed someone drive straight into the barricades. Pit crew acted swiftly, similar to that of formula 1 pit crews. They took said barricades off her and had the track set up in under 5 minutes. 5/5 would witness again.

I don't like how you pay $20 for a lap and leave right after like what is the point driving so far to come to this place? You literally just walk in and leave. It's not fun at all and feels so rushed. I would NEVER go back here again. Don't waste your money, it's better renting the scooters in downtown.

Reply to owner: None of that makes sense, and all you guys want is money. 3 laps should be for $20, not $20 for 1 lap.

Firstly this place is ALWAYS slow.hmmmm.after today’s visit I know why! For the second time at this place I’m truly disappointed.
I came here for my sons birthday last year and was convinced in buying the Elite Package but wait, did you know the races you already paid for can’t be used after a year because your Elite membership expires meaning you have to buy ANOTHER to use something you already paid for. Then there’s the staff.why can someone unable to legally drive be made responsible for safety decisions?

Cool idea but it's outrageously overpriced. The first two laps are slowed down but they still count towards your total lap count. You're in and out before you know it. It's not worth what you pay for it.

We went on a monday night, and even though they were almost closing, they gave us a chance to have some fun.

What a blast. Just took some family from out of town and everyone had a great time. When they say the cars are fast they aren't kidding. And they seem even quicker on the tight corners. You actually have to brake to make it around the hairpins. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys racing or competitive games.

If I could give zero stars I would. The Edmonton location is extremely unprofessional and the staff is very rude. I have visited both the Calgary location and at Vancouver location which were great but the Edmonton location was severely lacking in customer support training. There was an event of people that were racing at the time so we waited for them to be done however, the wait was over an hour. Two guys who apparently were pro racers that came in after us somehow were able to get into the race in between the group yet we were still waiting. Finally, we decided to give up and get our money back but they do not give refunds and is instead a credit which is fine but I would rather not come back to the establishment ever again.
The woman we were speaking to was very condescending and rude. We left and tried to get ahold of the manager on the phone and yet there was no button for manager and instead had to talk to reception where they pried about our reason for calling. Thankfully we were able to get ahold of the manager through the calgary location and he was very nice.
Overall, would not visit the Edmonton location again.

EDIT: It has been a bit since my awful experience at speeders and it seems that it isn't over. Speeders (specifically the manger of whom I thought was very professional before), has called me multiple times to discuss my review and wanting me to delete it. He said that since he assumed we had spoken it over that the conflict was resolved, however now I am very glad I didn't delete it. He eventually gave up trying to call me from a speeders number and instead used a private one and thus I finally answered. In this call I witnessed the most unprofessional conversation from a supposed manager. He said that nothing they did on their end was wrong, accused me of going at the wrong time and that it's my fault I had to wait (I understand they had an event I just know for a fact it could have been handled better), and that I wasn't listening to him. He made the comparison that he doesnt go to the KEG and get angry when he isn't seated right away. I tired to tell him that it wasn't about racing right when we got there it was about being organized and not letting people who just showed up to go before us. A huge event, 3 groups with a race each, were before us and then the two guys, and then we thought we would be next but the group was called up again. The guy organizing the races even said to us "huh, maybe we should have raced you next" and the just shrugged once the group went up once again. It would have been another hour wait.

I will definitely not be deleting my review as people need to know the absolute truth about this establishment and the people running it. Before, I believed the only problem was with the day to day costumer handling however it appears that even the Manager is very rude and condescending and arrogant as well.

Also, as you so elegantly told me to never come back, don't worry I won't!

Just remember, the reason they have a good rating is because they harass the people who leave bad ones!
