I’d give this Spencer’s location zero stars if I had the option. While I LOVE the merchandise at Spencer’s, this location has the worst and absolute most disgusting customer service.

I usually shop at the Londonderry location (where I always get good customer service) but decided to change it up and go to the Kingsway location.
At around 1PM on Sunday August 6, I walked in the store and made eye contact with the sales associate with green? Yellow? Hair. She was too busy chatting with another sales associate to welcome me into the store. I continued to shop around while having to listen to the sales associate with green/yellow hair talk VERY loudly about how she cheats on her partners. I spent a good 10 mins (this is 15 mins into being in the store by now) looking at jewelry before I was finally asked by the other sales associate if I needed help. At this point I was already so disgusted and disappointed by the customer service and so called “professionalism” of the staff that I walked out empty handed.

Save the gross conversations for your break. Customers do not want to hear how disgusting of a person you are.

Worse experience iv ever had. As soon as I walked in one of the employees was loudly talking to another about her sexuality and how she’s pan sexual and how and when we found out. After about 10 minutes of walking around an employee finally acknowledged I was in the store and asked if I needed any help.

The employee continues to talk loud enough I can hear her from across the store and proudly admitted to have cheated on her partner and specifically in 2014.

I understand Spencer’s has some rated 18 merchandise but is still and open family store otherwise it would be closed door with a no minors sign. This type of conversation is not at all work appropriate and disturbing to most people. I do not want to hear about your sexuality or how you have loose morals and cheat on your partners. I want to hear about current store offers and promotions. Do better

It's a little cramped in places, but I'm pretty sure that isn't the stores fault. Really impressed with the selection of stuff, and I will definitely be back!

It was a great place, a staff was minorly rude toward my friend and I, but otherwise it was great overall

The people here were so very helpful on helping me find what I was looking for. It is a very chill place to be. I love shopping here as it is definitely my style.

Un labeled chemicals told put it on my hand or dont come in. I have my own safe sanitizer. I get safe but don't tell people they need to put a unknown chemical on there hands. Make your staff take a while is course

Horrible employee with horrible customer service! She tried to bully my husband and baby to wear a mask when I specifically told her that my husband has a doctors note and that children under 2 years old aren't required by law to wear one. She made a big deal of it, insisted that my little girl sanitize her hands and then stayed that I make sure she not touch anything. I just said screw it and didn't go in. I will not be returning to this location.

A lot of staff that work at this location rate this store 5 stars so here's a one star for balance. If you're not white you'll probably be followed for shopping here. Try hot topic!

If you are into pop culture this is a great store. The Kingsway location (in general) has great staff who are helpful and knowledgeable. Pricing is reasonable and well stocked.

I drove 45 min to this store to buy a black light, neon paint, and a specific poster. I get there, I buy the black light 18inch fixture, the neon paint, and the poster, keep in mind the staff were the ones handing me the items I was seeking, anyways I get home, the black light is already opened, the black light is burnt out, the neon paint was previously opened and they gave me the wrong poster lmao.

Terrible service the little blonde girl was the worst service i have ever and will ever deal with.

Seemed like the some staff werent completely trained but they were still helpful and friendly. Lots of jewelry and on a great deal too. Manager was helpful when she could, She helped me pick out some stuff from their back area, very informative.

Went in to browse, looking for ideas for a birthday present. Staff were basically breathing down my neck the whole time. Made me super uncomfortable, so I just left without purchasing anything. Won't be coming back here. Funny enough, I'm Indigenous and my friend who is white wandered the store and wasn't followed at all. Really disappointed in my experience here, as I've never had problems before, and I love the mall.

This shop has lots of party stuff like beer bongs and funny other things also a 18+ section for all your needs and there is band t shirts and cool wall pictures and lots of small items I'd say it's a pretty cool place to check out if your out shopping

Extremely rude, unprofessional sales staff deserve 0-start rating. Will never darken their shop door again.

I had an interview with Manager Cassandra Sept. 4 2019 at 3pm. She called and left me a message at 2: 40pm and said she is canceling my interview. I was 5 mins away from the mall. It took me 45 mins to travel to the interview location. That is veerrry rude and unprofessional. I have been in retail for 35 yrs and 20 yrs in management. I have never experienced anything so unprofessional in all my yrs of work experience. Image how they treat their workers and customers alike. I will never shop or apply for a job at Spencer's company again. I suggest that no one shops or applies to Spencers company again. Cassandra should be fired for such rude behavior.
