Removed atleast 15 expired botttles of Kissan Mixed fruit jam from the shelf and handed them over to front end cashier. She didn’t have the courtesy to thank me for that. The lady started making faces when I asked her to match the price when identical items had different prices marked.
I was amazed at this store! Great prices, great selection, good quality. I bought some frankincense and some essential oils. I’ve seen the same items online for up to 3x the price. For oils, perfumes and herbs this will be the store I keep coming back to.
This has been our regular stop for Indian groceries n vegetables. Having landed in Canada, within 48 hours I am into this shop today shows how rarely I miss shopping here. Their collections are enormous and fresh. The owner is super friendly, extremely kind which gives additional comfort when you shop here. Name anything and you get here, which definitely makes you feel you never miss home. Keep up the good job.
I was glad to find a few Jamaican items I had been looking for since moving. The store was a bit scattered with the items, so I had to search around all the isles. The staff was kind and quickly resolved an issue of an expired item.
One of my favorite store for quick pick up. Has all the indian groceries and spices. Only thing missing is I haven't seen is fresh Jamun fruit and different varieties of mangoes from India.
I was so happy to find Caribbean spices, some food items e.g Chief, Matouqs, Grace, Indi, Champion Chowmein. Vegetables such as Saime, breadfruit pumpkin. The prices were a bit higher.
The staff is friendly and helpful. There are lots of products, specifically for Indian cuisine, to choose from, as well as this place can be an opportunity to learn about another culture through food!
The Spice Centre Delivers on its name. There are spices and there are spices. This place has all of them, and reasonably priced.
Walking in lights up your olfactory. Bags of black peppercorns, tumeric, nuts, sauces, and rare vegetables (they have things I've not seen anywhere else)
Very bad experience. I went to get some groceries there. Store smells so bad, doesn’t look clean, there is no price tags on some products.
Very bad customer service, specially cashiers was very rude.no greetings at all.very rudely he enter amount on pin pad and he throw receipt on table instead giving me in hand, also throw my bag.he acted like he is mad on me. I was shocked by the behaviour.looks like they don’t care about business.
I wish there was a option for zero star or minus ratings.
I visited this place for first time, and found it to be nice, there's good variety of Indian grocery items, also find good variety of ayurvedic herbs Also found the staff very friendly They got variety of Indian kitchen tools, and also sewing machine, items for craft. They also offer good range of items required for performing religious rituals, idols, frames and garlands. Not to forget you also get bangles here so yes you get other merchandise too apart from grocery.
It's an OK store for those of us looking for authentic foods from home. Overpacked with products that some are out of date.
There customer service is ZERO. Definitely not any warmth that a true Canadian store provide. They are not helpful at all and have an attitude that will push you towards not returning. At the checkout there is no greeting and then they dump your products from the belt, to what I suppose would be called the bagging area, tell you the price and that's it, NO THANK YOU!
Glad there is a new store opening along 99 st; hopefully they'll have better customer service. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
A huge store that has everything most East Indians would need I’d imagine, but as an Iranian, the only thing from them I ever need is their convenient tamarind concentrate which they always have in stock- at a very reasonable price I might add- whenever I’ve needed some. So this is my go-to store for tamarind, plus the staff are always courteous and friendly. Keep up the great selection of products and service!
Went there for groceries yesterday. It was really fussy there. There was zero social distancing and they couldn’t do much about it. It was scary. Strict distancing should be implemented. Never going back again.
This is definitely a to-go place if you want to buy some authentic Indian vegetables, pooja items, some vessels and for some frozen foods like veggie samosas, veggie nuggets etc. But the flip side is - it is bit expensive where lentils, rice and wheat flour are overly priced. Would suggest buying these items from “No Frills” store in white avenue
Best Indian Grocery super Store in Edmonton. We just landed in this town and this is the 1st place we visited. Delighted we came here as we got all our stuff without any hassle. The store owners & staff are very warm, friendly and very helpful.
Great place to get all my South Asian groceries! Staff are very kind and helpful. The prices are very reasonable and their produce is always fresh! One of the best Indian Grocery's in Edmonton!
The Owners & employees are so welcoming & always willing to help especially when you don't understand certain items in a different language. A little bit for everyone
You would get almost any Indian spice you can think of here. Also good for any popular Indian made confectioneries. This is also a popular place to buy religious idols and prayer paraphernalia. The store set up is reminiscent of margin free market stores in India.
Friendly helpful staff. I brought cookware and the top on the cover was broken which meant when hot I would have to lift the cover with a pot holder I went back and explain. They gave me one no charge. I was so happy.
I have been looking around for some items that i needed but couldn't find it anywhere in Edmonton except in this store. They have alot of varieties. Totally recommended
Great selection of products and can often find items here that you wouldn't at other locations.
My only gripe is that today for the third time, I found expired product on their shelves. Always been wary of that when buying here and will probably not return here. There are now 4 other grocery stores in the same strip mall.
Right now, there are fresh, ripe and juicy mangoes available. They are sold by boxes of 10 for 15 bucks. The price is cheaper there than other indian stores and there is a large variety of stuff.
Spice Centre one of the best grocery store in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. They sell authentic South Indian and South Indian Groceries, and other home provisions.
If your looking for East Indian or West Indian spices or food this is the place to look first. Amazing selection. Looks congested but that's because they carry so much selection.
The only Indian grocery store I go to. This shop has been a long standing 'go to' grocery store for many East and West Indians. The family that runs it is helpful. They carry a huge selection of whole and ground spices, as well as fresh vegetables, fruit, frozen foods and a wide array of Indian snacks. I especially appreciate their fresh green chillies which are always super hot! I think they also carry the latest Bollywood movies and music
Super like.and they have my favourite noodle WAI WAI.im super happy and they have lots of things.staff are sooo polite and helpful.for sure i will come back
Best shop for almost all Indian products. But must check the expiry date for purchasing. Lot of Indian vegetables can be seen there. If you take a product from the freezer, dont forget to check the expiry date. Not a neat and tidy area
Famous for all kinds of Indian spices. Recently extended the shop. Could be the only major Indian spice centre in Edmonton. Small amount of fresh vegetables are also available here. Parking is easy here.
