Tiny place in Hunterhorn Plaza across from KFC.delicious, quality food and reasonable prices. My son goes here EVERYDAY for butter chickenlol

Had the lunch special and 2 veggie samosas,
Was amazed at the price and the quality. Well spiced but not over powering, very smooth butter chicken with a wonderful after taste. The cuts of chicken was tender. The pakoras were crunchy and tasteful with no greasey feel/ taste.

The speed as well was impressive. Great place for a quick work lunch

The samosas tasted great, you can tell it was made in house and not frozen store bought ones

Will most certainly be trying more things on the menu

The food was amazing, but me and my friend came to this restaurant and felt rushed the entire time, the one guy was nice but the other had an attitude problem for sure. I would ask him a simple question and the way he would react would be so unprofessional. He acted as of we irriated him over one question. And my other friend payed and he pretended like he didn't know where the receipt was and he tried to make him pay again, I mean who does that. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Omg the best Indian/Pakistani food in town! I’m Indian and I have to say, outstanding! Try anything with the goat or beef. And the potato naan is amazing.

Amazing hidden gem eating joint and a really good place for a quick bite. The sabzi was really flavorful and naan was really soft and nice. Would definitely come back and highly recommended place.

Absolutely amazing, the guys working there were super nice and the butter chicken and naan was delicious. If your in the area, absolutely go and eat here.

This is a pretty single-minded review. What I want to say is that I gave this place five stars simply for their Goat Karahi, which was flavourful, not full of gristle, and pleasantly spiced, and reasonably priced with a generous portion size. I've been sampling goat curries all over town and this one was the best by far.

This is what you call a hidden gem, the food at this place is excellent! Best Seekh kabab in yyc & the price is unbelievably amazing. The food is cooked perfectly every single time, the staff and owner are hardworking & super friendly! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an authentic Pakistani food experience.

The person serving was extremely rude for no reason whatsoever. I asked for the combo and rather than informing they dont have it right now, he disrespectfully and shouted just said come tmmrw. I was hungry hence ordered a takeaway anyways, he thumped it on table and says here take it rudely.

No manners to talk to people. Would not visit again.

In my opinion, There are many other restaurants that serve lunch special in a better way for their customers because they provide separate dishes.

Have never received a bad meal here ever. The food was so good I actually started trying more than just butter chicken for once and my gf regularly order her lunches from here. We both love this place.

By far most high quality food and healthy choices on the menu! Spice hit defiantly is a Hut full of spices? I’ve tried the kabobs and trust me go there now and get yourself 2 spice canons… 1 will tease you!

The butter chicken looks, smells, and tastes nothing like any other butter chicken I've had. The naan was good, the veggie pakora was fine.

The samosas look great but I can't stomach the dipping sauce it came with so I couldn't eat them.

Owner/s make up prices. One person laughed at how he charged me extra in his language to his co-worker. Too bad I can't give it 0 stars

For $8 during their lunch special, you get a great meal with a good amount of food. Great taste and portions

This is outstanding food. The flavours of their curries are spectacular. Very rich food. The beef madras and lamb curry are just OMG beyond tasty. The owner works his butt off and has loyal staff. I buy food from this place 3 times a week. Its SOOOOO good and Soooooo reasonably priced. The naans are fresh from a tandoor clay oven. You can get 2 naans a currry dish and an order of kabobs for under $20! Its a steal and QUALITY and Authentic Pakistani food! I own a pizza restaurant and know how hard it is to run a business and man do these guys know how to run a restaurant! Your senses get riled you can smell the amazing aroma in the parking lot! FANTASTIC joint highly recommend it! Great atmosphere too!

Best beef Kabobs I've ever had. Service is quick and polite. Food is amazing. I've tried everything on the menu at least once and never had a bad dish. I'm picky and these guys rock it every time. Lunch special is always on point too.

I've been going here for a few years now mainly to have the lunch combo for under 10 bucks! Ya it's pretty standard fare but we'll made and always fresh Naan bread. Small place but can easily take and go or if not busy.

This joint is on top of my list when it comes to Pakistani or Indian cuisine in CALGARY try there Haleem, Nihari, Kadhai Gosht they also have vegetarian dishes as well believe me you people will love the taste buds, any time I come back to YYC defiantly going to stop by again.

Not impressed on the service. Didn't receive all our order. Told us it was our fault. I'll find another restaurant to order from. Thanks but no thanks.

In spite of the inflation which has badly affected the food industry, he kept the fairy low which made him a better choice. He deserve to be appreciated.

The owner is extremely rude over the phone. Prices are decent and food taste okay, but ended up having hot lava diarrhea the next day all day. Never going back.

Paid $10.99 for butter shrimp! And got a massive thing of sauce and like 8 or 9 of those ridiculously tiny shrimp that you get in those jars of shrimp. The shrimps are the size of a Quarter literally.where can I post pictures of this on here. 3rd bad experience from this place. Won't happen again.

Ordered the butter chicken, was given a much spicier dish that was not butter chicken for the second time (I have eaten here many times and know the difference). More of a really spicy chicken in very dark tomato sauce with no cream added. The first time it happened he realized the mistake, but assured me I would enjoy it and I did. Unfortunately this time when it happened I was told I essentially had no idea what I was saying

I have a favorite place to go to get my Indian fix, so it's's really hard to compare to it.

No soap in unclean bathroom. Rude service, ordered a 'deal for 2' which apparently is 'take out only' so we weren't welcome to stay (they made it very clear) despite being entirely empty and outside sign saying 'dine in /take out/ delivery'. Take-out containers weren't sealed— leaked, making a massive mess all over the bag which didn't contain a single napkin, our 2 L pop was forgotten therefore after being kicked out we had nothing but a sticky bag of food carelessly packed, no drink, no cutlery, no napkins, no repeat service from my dad or I after that. Nice impression for a first time dining there.

Ordered lamb biriyani and plain naan. Wanted peshwari naan which was on the menu but not available. Food was such a disappointment, tasteless, just spicy with couple of lamb chunks. I saw the guy who served us, who was wearing not so clean clothes, was mixing things up in the kitchen. My guess is he just mixed rice and meat and gave it to me. The kitchen was dirty and a mess too!
Naan was ok, just mediocre.
Obviously not going there again!

Service was not good. They have given me very spicy food without the free yogurt. You should remind them.

Their dishes are small and barly enough for one person.

Garlic nan is not like a regular garlic nan, as it comes with a yellow color on it.

I wish this place wasn't so far from where I live. Authentic Pakistani food that is absolutely delicious. Also very reasonable prices. Highly recommended:)

A little shocked at all the reviews on here, maybe I was there on an off day?
Grabbed some food to go and when we called in to place the order the person was extremely rude. There was an attitude for no reason at all. When asked to explain what was in a combo they were very angered that I asked?
Food was mediocre and flavourless. Was not spicy despite the name of the restaurant.
There are definitely more places to try in Calgary that deliver both in customer service and flavour/quality.

Really great food and big portions. Their rice is always really fresh and they have my favourite naan in the City. Only bummer is the food is pretty spicy for my liking. Fans of quite spicy food will not be disappointed however

So cheap and so very good! I recommend the kebab, the lamb curry, the eggplant bharta. It is however a little spicey even for me.

Really two different reviews. Dine in 3/5 Greasy fast food with taste as authentic as Brampton Ontario restaurants and indian friends homes.
However take out? 2/5 Just subtract substantial portions of key ingrédients. Like chicken. Less naan.
Much way better around Marlborough Mall area.

The food is absolutely delicious. Lamb Korma is my favourite. The price is ridiculously low. This place is run by a couple of hardworking people. First place I go to eat every time I'm in Calgary.

We landed in Calgary and needed to head out to Lake Louise right away. Not knowing anything about good restaurants, I just searched up Halal restaurant on our route. Spice Hut came up which was not too much of a detour. It’s a very small, dinghy looking place but the good was extremely yummy especially all the items from the grill. Beef biryani was good too plus achari chicken was diff but tasty. I enjoyed our takeout from this place and would recommend it to others as well. Definitely get items from the grill.

10 out of 10 probably the best naan I have ever had and there lunch special is one of the best deals always delicious and the staff is always friendly and happy to see you

Me and the wife LOVE Spice Hut. This place is a little hidden gem! The food is exceptional and plentiful. Portions are big, flavor is spot on and consistent. If you're looking for authentic Indian cuisine this should be your first and only stop for dinner. Try the pakora. They're amazing!

Moving from England 8 years ago, we were disappointed with the microwave-type food that passes as curry from some restaurants and were pleased to find Spice Hut. They are affordable and so worth the drive from Airdrie!

This is our all time favorite place for Indian food. Delicious, well prepared and friendly owners.

One of the hidden gems of Calgary! The food quality has been consistent over the year. Forget your other fancy Indian restaurants. This is the food you will remember. It's not very fancy or aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Very small space. Wouldn't have come here because of the set up but the taste keeps bringing me back.

First time there. So the food was oily. I'm not sure if that added to the flavour because I really liked it. Ordered the dinner for 2 which was a good deal because it came with a 2L pop. So I was happy. Definitely going back for seconds.

Delicious. I can't speak on authenticity because I'm a white person but absolutely delicious food. A forever favourite.

A hole in the wall in a good way! Food is authentic with Naan bread made traditionally in a hot kiln. One of the best tasting restaurants in the city.

Gas station chicken. Chicken tikka masala had NO sauce and little in the way of interesting spice. Wasn't offered a fork, had to eat outside with hands.

That lunch special is the best value around. 7.95 and it is more food than I can eat, and every bite is great. Big chunks of chicken, the naan is perfect. 10/10

This is a bit of a hole on the wall, mom and pop operation that offers tasty food, smiley service and pretty decent prices. We always order to pick up just so we can say hello. Good value! Highly recommended.

Spice Hut is a great Indian restaurant! I have known the owners Manzar and Mohammed for over a decade. They consistently serve up fresh, delicious dishes with delivery available.

My husband and I have been coming here for almost as long as we've been together, 11 years now. It's been run by the same guys the whole time and the food quality hasn't changed at all in that time! Absolutely delicious and an excellent selection of dishes to choose from. The take out specials are a great value, I can't recommend this place enough!

Ordered online. Probably the worst indian food ive had in Calgary. Most dishes were inedible. Naan tasted like it had been made the previous day.

Good food, but you don’t get much of it. If you were to order the butter chicken, you might get about six or seven pieces of chicken and a lot of sauce. There is also not a lot of seating in the restaurant.

The food is a bit greasy but tastes great. And it’s a good deal for the price you pay for almost all the meals. I had their chicken curry which is made with spices, tomato paste and lots of oil haha with naan roti. The food tasted nice but was a bit greasy which is expected since it’s Indian and Pakistani food.
