Worst customer service ever! Asked an a associate for assistance in locating a product. His response was "I dunno"! Asked about if they had a similar item and same response of "I dunno"! Just lost another customer!

Customer service is AWFUL! I came to buy a bike and no one helped me. Do I need to beg for help? When you have a business, make sure you have employees that care about customers. I asked for assistance three times and employees were just walking by me without caring!

Purchased a $300 pair of CCM skates and Bauer right handed stick $150. The warranty offered on both products (30 days) do not reflect the quality of both the skates and stick. Absolutely ridiculous! Workmanship and quality do not reflect price. The skate blade cracked after less than 6 ice times and 5 months owning. The stick broke right in half afer 43 days. These companies know exacltly what they are doing and producing. Sportchek is to blame for selling poor quality at high prices. I am not surprised its a Canadian Tire company. Terrible!

Super happy with the level of service I received today when coming it to try and get my bindings repaired. Unfortunately they weren’t repairable and so I needed to replace the bindings entirely - the staff went out of their way to try and find me bindings that were within my price range and after a good 15 min they did! They also found a nearby sports chek and called them to ensure they could mount the bindings for me without having to return since I planned on going boarding the next day.

Great and helpful staff. I was able to purchase swim gear and get my skates sharpened in the same trip.

This is the most spacious and quiet Sports Check that I have ever walked into. The ceilings are high and the lights are bright. The stock is very organized and sorted cleanly.

Staff walk around offering help and appeared welcoming. When we asked to try on some shoes, the team member quickly got the sizes we requested.

This is a great Sports Check to shop at as it is quiet and calm.

Matthew who was working in the bicycle section was very helpful and provided excellent customer service to me. Matthew went above and beyond to assist me with having my tire repaired.

Shop attendants were courteous, communicated well and generally pleasant to deal with. Hopefully the gloves I got are as high quality as the staff.

Came to the store on a Saturday morning and went straight to the cashier to do a return. I saw 3 different staff members, 2 of them asked me to wait so that they could do other tasks (go to backroom and answer phone). I was the only person in line and there were barely any shoppers in the store.someone finally showed up and helped me with the return for an online order that was not my size. The transaction itself was very quick but the overall amount of time waiting to be served was a bit long. The store itself looked clean, and seemed to have various brands/seasonal items from what I could see from the cash register.

Graham in the goalie equipment department was amazing. Very patient as he guided us through a goalie pad purchase. Excellent service!

Shop here if you want to spend hundreds of dollars and still be treated like garbage by the manager. Honestly, worst retail experience ever - go to MEC where they really care or shop online at Altitude Sports/ the Last Hunt.

Store is pretty small. They seem to have inventory issues too. Countless times the website says they have stock but when you show up there’s none of what you’re looking for. I advise calling ahead to make sure they actually have it.

Returned a defective bike as the front rim bent going over a small curb after 2 weeks of ownership - built by sport check. Manager was confrontational and condescending. The young man working at the return counter was super polite and helpful, apologetic and kind.

The manager made the experience horrendous. He passed along Maintenance information which was helpful. However sport check should be reminding their managers that they SHOULD NOT BE AGGRESSIVE WITH CUSTOMERS as after that interaction. I will not return to sport check.

This is by far one of the worst shopping experiences I have ever had in my 50 plus years of life. The staff stands around talking and try to avoid the customer. I asked for some help finding an item oh, they said they didn't have it. I was sent to another store which was halfway across the city and they were supposed to have what I wanted. I was told they had 17 in stock, when I got there I was treated like a piece of garbage and told that the item I was looking for was sold out. I will never go back to Sport Chek again.

Kelly the manager is great! I was having a major problem with an online order and she went to all extents to help me and solve my problem, I couldn't get help from anywhere else I tried but her.

I highly recommend this location for shopping and service. I will now only shop at this location.

I just have to say that the gentleman Tyler is great. He truly went above and beyond to help us out. Great employees like this deserves to be recognized.

We ordered my son a bike online and it arrived unassembled on Mother’s Day. When I called the Heritage Meadows Way store they were not yet open due to Covid. I spoke with Darcy who was so helpful and exceeded my expectations. Because of Darcy’s recommendations I was in line as soon as the store re-opened and my son’s bike was assembled that day! We were very pleased with the service. When I came into the store today to look at bike accessories Graham was super helpful. Both Darcy and Graham are so personable and willing to take the time to answer questions. Integrity is such an important part of successful relationships, resulting in a successful business enterprise. We will definitely continue to shop at and recommend Sport Chek to our family, friends and business partners.

Located on Stephen Avenue Mall in the old McNally Robinson building, I wasn't sure how I felt about this new sporting goods store. It looked big and shiny, and the windows had lots of attractive winterwear but I was still sulking at the loss of McNally. But finally the call of winter sales was too much to resist, and I decided I needed a new toque to add to my collection.

The nice thing about this location is that it is three levels high, whichh means that it is nearly as big as the Sport Cheks in the burbs, although it is a little swankier than one in say, Sunridge because the building is so nice. They had a wall full of toques which totally suited my needs, but also a decent sized section of women's winterwear and shoes on the main floor. I only briefly glanced above and below but I saw a ton of sportswear and some decent looking equipment.

There wasn't a lot of staff around, and they weren't that helpful when I was there just before Christmas. The store wasn't very busy, so that was a little annoying. So all in all, a three star experience, although I'm going back soon to gather stuff for my new years resolutions.

Yesterday evening we went to get a pair of skates sharpened. Walked up to the counter and a gentleman told us that the other employee would assist us with that. We waited 10-15 minutes while this employee completely outfitted a 4 year old with his mother in head-to-toe hockey gear (they really did not need that much help and could have looked around on their own). He finished with them and approached us telling us he was off his shift but somebody else could sharpen the skates.we asked how long it would be and he said he would check. He used the radio system they have but nobody answered him, he went to go ask. Upon coming back he told us it would be AN HOUR! Now I can't understand why because it takes 5 minutes to do and we were the only customers in the store. We left and went somewhere else. Overall a horrible customer service experience!

Was there on Saturday to buy some socks. After waiting ten minutes in a very long and VERY SLOW moving line at the registers I decided to leave. Two doors down I was able to find very similar socks for half the price at Marks.

Great staff, super helpful. The only issue, and this would apply to every store, is the sale signs. "Buy one, get one 50% off" So far, so good. Small print: "Including items already marked down. " Alright, that's great except it doesn't include items on sale. Apparently 'marked down' is something else altogether. One staff member was equally confused but another knew that 'marked down' meant items with a yellow sticker.

So what I'm really getting at here is please make your signs more clear. "Including items marked down with a yellow sticker" would make all the difference.

If I could give zero stars I would. My experience here not once but every time has been worse and worse. The first time I came here it was for skate sharpening and I was told a standard wait time was 30 mins well that time goes by and our teammates came in after us to do the same as we had a game that night. They told the skate tech that they had a game and it was a ‘rush’ so the tech stopped doing ours even though it was about 40 minutes later and they were able to leave before us. Well we confronted them that yes those were our teammates and we also have a game and our time was wasted and the tech laughed and said oops sorry guys. I went to beacon hill thinking it might be better for sharpening and the tech left us with uneven sharpening. Now yesterday we came back to Deerfoot meadows at 4pm told both sets (2) skates would be sharpened and I emphasized that I needed them done for a game today and I have work and other things to do so I’d pick them up in the morning at 10. The tech last night said no problem he would make sure they were done yesterday. Today comes and they arnt done and although it wasn’t the tech this mornings fault, no one appreciates being lied to and also when the manager was told about what happened he didn’t even apologize. The same manager was working yesterday when he overheard that they would be done for today. Absolutely ridiculous for management to not even step up and apologize for lies or even trying to save face. If you are wondering why I went back in the first place it’s because I got one of their sharpening cards. Also the manager couldn’t even give me a deal or nothing this morning for again- their mistake. After this sharpening card I will drive the extra 15 minutes to pro hockey life and I recommend anyone else to do so also.

If you are a larger guy there really isn’t anything in our size here. The shoe selection is mediocre. The hockey side is great though if that interests anyone. The staff is pretty cool sometimes it seems as if they are understaffed

Thanks for referring me to the running room. Checking your computer system for availability probably would have taken too much time. As it turns out the Running Room had stock and were eager to help. Thanks again for the referral.
