Very quick and efficient service. The equipment was great and tailored to my needs. Convenient location for heading to the mountains. The rental period was perfectly flexible for a one day rental being able to pick up the day before and dropoff before close the next day. Pricing is competitive. Return process was a breeze and k was out in under a minute. I would highly recommend Sports Rent to anyone looking to rent ski equipment!

Terrible service, cancelled an order and was left with a credit we could not use, upon using the credit they charged our card twice for a damage deposit. Employees are poorly trained. Customer service is low. They do not provide anything useful like receipts even when upon request for commercial businesses. Unless you are using this for personal use on a limited basis I would never recommend.

We've been renting rafts, bicycles and skis from Sports Rent for the past 15 years.

They've done a terrific job servicing my skates, skis, and bicycles.

Rented skis and boots for the kids. Was way cheaper than renting on the hill. Was super friendly and efficient and was super easy to find.

Unfortunately I was improperly sized for my XC-ski based on the activity i presented to the staff, which resulted in a bad experience on the slopes. Based on the weight I told them and the amount of gear I was hauling I was given gear that didn’t fit my requirements. Disappointed on how it was handled when when I approached the staff about my experience, they didn’t seem to understand or offer a credit for their misjudgment. After this review I hope they can take steps to improve the quality of their service and ensure that customers receive the guidance and equipment they need to enjoy a ski trip.

On a positive note, the location of this shop is conveniently located as it is on your way out to the mountains.

They have almost anything you looking for but they don’t respect the customers. We were the only customers in the store and they were just nagging. Probably it was the last time we are renting stuff from here.

We rented downhill skis, poles and helmets from Sports Rent. This was only our second time ever skiing and the time before rented from the ski resort.

You would think a ski resort would be more experienced but renting from Sports Rent was way better. The equipment was very well maintained, adjusted properly to each member of our group and was very reasonably priced.

Staff were all great to deal with as well.we will be back!

I have used Sports Rent for many different services (bike service, roof topper rental, ski rental) and have always had an amazing experience. I also recommend them to everyone who wants to try a sport or save money on a rental vs a purchase. Recommend 100%

We called Saturday night for a Sunday raft rental, made our reservation and all was ready for us next morning. Equipment was great.we got several comments floating down the Bow about how nice the raft was.we pointed them all your direction! Easy return Sunday evening. Thanks!

We rented bikes for the family last weekend and the service was truly impressive. We had a lot of questions and the staff was patient and kind.
Definitely will return!

Went to rent a few pairs skates for the day. I was asked to put on a mask. Explained that I have an exemption. The young employee (who I am sure was just saying what he was told to say) asked me for proof. I explained that I don't need to show proof. He then said "we have the right to refuse business to whoever we like then". Uh, ok so we left.

As a family who has rented there multiple time is the last few months this was certainly disappointing news.

I am all for policy, my issues are two fold.

1 - as a customer I was not given an alternative (curbside etc)

2 - when did businesses lose site of customer service for all customers. I was not looking for special service - basic customer service would have sufficed.

Just like they have the right to refuse business to whoever they like I have the right to spend money with whoever I like. Which is what I did.

Sports Rent is the only place to go for any equipment rental in Calgary. Fair prices, quality gear and good service! Checks all 3 boxes!

First time renting from this business. They were flexible with pick up time and had lots available. I rented classic cross country skis. One of the grip pads ended up coming off while I was skiing at the Nordic Centre in Canmore…disappointing…but when returning the equipment, they gave me a refund for the day and apologized for the inconvenience. Good customer service and pleasant staff.

False advertising on the bike sale. Management decided last minute that they didn't want to sell the bikes they clearly had on there website sales page
. I called in two days before to clarify the product was in fact avalible and was told it was avalible to find out after waiting four hours in line that they didn't "feel" like selling it. I have lost trust of the business after this.

Great service, staff was nice and got the paper work done fast.however two of the 4 bikes did not work properly which made our ride in Banff short as we were afraid one of the bikes was going to brake. Thankfully it didn’t but the ride was noisy, just hope they check the bikes a little better to ensure that does not happen for who ever rents them next.

Always get my skates sharpened here and they’re great. Tried getting them sharpened at another place and could immediately tell it wasn’t done right so I came back to sports rent and they were good as new when they were done with them!

Needed a ski helmet; walked in and out in less than 4 min total time! 12 bucks for one day- done! There is clear attempt to run this business efficiently and with care and compassion. Could not asked for better service. 100% chance of repeating this visit to them. Covid precautions done v well. Yes I will support you!

Winter or summer, they have all you need. I have come here many times and the service has always been consistent!

They really went out of their way to help someone like me with big calves. Even though we exhausted all options, they never made me feel bad about myself or just give up on the first try. Great customer service!

I had a bad experience dealing with this store for renting ski gears. I highly recommend you to take your business somewhere else. Rapid rent have more selections of boots, skis and helmets for you to choose from and even cheaper if you’ve kids.

Went here to rent cross country skis during a super busy morning and they were still fast, efficient and easy to work with. Dispute a line up they got us in and out with our skis in very short order. Great customer service.

Extremely disappointed with the service. Went to pick up a snowboard last night and there was a bit of a line outside (nothing crazy). The staff was so stressed about just getting through the line that they were basically non-functional when it came to getting people their gear. I tried on 1 pair of boots which I said was too big and was told “that’s the best you’re going to get in a rental and there’s a big line outside I need to get though. ” Regrettably, I didn’t insist on trying another pair and now I’m writing this sour review while descending in the gondola, because I can’t board without boots. I’ve been renting gear for 20 years and have had some equipment fit better than other, but I’ve never encountered such poor customer service and have NEVER had gear so bad that I couldn’t ski. What a waste of time and money.

Very quick to pick up rentals. Friendly staff and there are always lots of staff on hand so you are never waiting too long. Fair priced equipment, much cheaper than renting at the ski hill.

We're unable to rent because it was so busy.but the service to hot wax my cross country skis was fabulous.will definitely go back

Great deals and great times are to be had if you go to Sports Rent! My wife and I came here a lot this past summer to rent kayaks and we were never disappointed.

ZERO stars! Staff that helped me at the store was very condescending, the entire store has terrible communication, I was given multiple different prices when I called and when I arrived, I left without renting anything and feeling completely disappointed.
In the end, I’m so glad I didn’t rent anything thru them, I ended up going to UofC and received the best customer service! The staff there were so laid back and super helpful. It was such an easy transaction, booked, picked up, returned without any hassles, unlike SportsRent were it was a mess from the very beginning. Will definitely rent from UofC from now on!

Helpful and good prices. We rent a raft for 55 dollars for 4 people and the paddles with the life jackets were extra for 3 dollars each. It is an amazing experience. U will pick up the raft and inflate it where ever u will go and they will give u like where the places to lunch ur raft. U will have it for a full day. We took it around 5 and we will give it back next day before 7 pm. U have to bring it back. U need veiachels one for the start point and the other for the end point or u will use a cab or an uber. No experience needed.

We went back and had one more raft. Again, the staff were amazing. I did a mistake though that I want to mention it so other people would not do it. I was playing with my kids and tangled my self out of the raft, when I tried to pulled my self up I couldn't the current was so strong and I could reach the ground but it was so slippery. Thanks God my husband was close enough in other raft to pull me. I really don't encourage anyone trying to leave the raft and do that.

Rented a Specialized Diverge for a 10 cycling touring trip. Bike was in great condition, staff was friendly and helpful, and the price was very reasonable.

Had an issue with the first service done at Sports rent, but after taking it in to have them look at it again my bike is running smoothly at no extra cost. Great customer service guys!

Exceptional customer service, and quality equipment at rates that didn't break the bank. My family goes there for skis in the winter and bike rentals in the summer. The process is very quick and efficient and the staff is always friendly. Have recommended to friends and will continue to do so.

Rented skis for 6 days for myself and son. We went skiing in Fernie and my son got injured on 2nd day. We only used skis for 2 of 6 days but had to pay for 6 days. Sports Rent would not give us a break. Lesson here is not to rent from Sports Rent if you intend to bring skis out of town.

Usually Always come here to rent my outdoor activety rentals but my last visit was very negative. Myself and my cousins walked in to rent skates for the 3 of us. The guy behind the counter was on his cellphone texting and didn’t even greet us when we walked in. After about 5 mins he looked up and said do you know it works? Pick a pair that fits you and walked off. So we all picked pairs that we thought worked. Sadly after we started skating all of our feet where hurting in a few places. For me it was the tops of my feet. We only went skating for 30 mins tops before we returned the the skates. Will not rent anything from here ever again!

If I could give 0 stars I would for the customer service. They wanted to charge me an additional $30 to do a quick calibration of my kids’ boots in their ski bindings. Fortunately I was able to do it myself in less than two minutes. This should have been a simple complimentary service after spending $100 on tuning the family’s skis.

Went here to rent skates and the staff was really helpful along with very reasonable prices! The only negative thing is the skates were quite worn down but does not affect the functionality.
