I went to see Christmas Lights and the atmosphere was nice and beautiful! It was fun to see the free Christmas trees. You can look around them all in about an hour. It opens at 5pm, but I recommend arriving 15 minutes before and waiting at the entrance. The later you go, the longer the waiting time to enter. There is also a cafe selling hot chocolate and cookies.

Spruce Meadows is wonderful at Christmas time. It's very well organized with tons of indoor and outdoor vendors, decorations food and festivities. Super family friendly with tons of samples! If you haven't gone yet check it out!

Spruce Meadows Christmas market is simply beautiful & a very happy place to be with your family & friends. It has that 'Hallmark' vibe & it feels amazing! They have many, many things to purchase, not only Christmas things, they also have other things aside from Christmas ornaments & decorations. They also have a cafeteria in the main building, and during the evening times when it gets dark, they have Christmas lights outside when you're walking along the way. They also have little boutiques with fashionable clothing & jewelry! You could spend hours there because of how big everything is. It's a very nice place to spend time with your family & friends. The entrance fee is not bad either, it's $15 a person and it's worth it because of the long hours you can spend there. You can also get a picture with Santa. They do wish for you to make a $5 donation for the picture with Santa, which is not bad.
It's a beautiful place to spend time with your loved ones!

So much fun at the North American this weekend. Great vendors, lots to see, so many fun activities! Only things I wish they had were more water fountains where you can refill your water bottle and easier to find restrooms.

Every year they have an amazingly huge Christmas fair to walk around, get your Christmas presents, listen to some music and get something delicious to eat. In the summer, they have horse jumping and other events for the whole family. I always enjoy my time here whatever I am here for!

Came for the Nationals this weekend! Great value for money. There's more than just horse stuff. Lots of activities for families. Be sure to watch the dog show! It is a highlight for sure. And you get to let the dogs after the show!

I live across 22x from spuce meadows and can hear the announcers from my backyard. Have never been to any horse shows or competitions. But have been there for other events such as pet expo and Christmas show/shop. Which they do a great job hosting with lots of room. Wish they could figure out a better way of getting cars in and out for parking. Have seen some pretty big lines.

This is a great facility for wheelchair users, as most of the venues have wheelchair access. And it's easy to just roll around the grounds if you want.both the main horse jumping Arena and the soccer pitch have lots of accessible seating.

Only one big problem with Spruce Meadows - it's not inside the city limits. So you can't get there with Calgary Transit, nor with the handy bus system. And the Spruce Meadows shuttle bus from Somerset station is not wheelchair accessible. You must have your own vehicle or else take a taxi.

Great place to visit, always fun, always lots going on here. Would recommend if you've never been. They keep the grounds immaculate here, beautiful grass and trees, always so clean. World class show jumping. Great food selections. Lots to see for the kids; train rides, face painting, carousel. They don't charge nearly enough money to come either as admission is only $5 for adults and kids are free.

I love Spruce Meadows. They have a wonderful tack shop. For those that ride, it is a world class venue. With all the large events here, there are places to buy food and sometimes a trade fair is available. It is a place that someone could bring their family, whether they know anything about horses or not. Watch for the big jumping events and the Christmas market. Great way to spend the day with your family in a world class facility that is absolutely stunning.

This is one of Calgary's must see landmarks. Started by the Southern family in 1975, the beautiful grounds are well maintained and guests are always welcome - but you should really go when a competition is on! In winter there is a beautiful light display and a Calgary famous Christmas market.

Spruce Meadows is Calgary and area's event venue for horse show jumping! Amazing food, lots of people, and offers the senses much to take in! Arrive early and get the best selection of seating for you and your loved ones. Enjoy your experience!

You can take your family including little children to Spruce Meadows during the summer and just enjoy their grounds. You can sit outside enjoy the sun, see the horses, the kids can take a little train ride around and get some snacks from their vendors on site. It's beautiful there. Lovely and Lush and very calm. A lovely place to enjoy the afternoon with no admission charge

Spruce Meadows has various events throughout the year besides the equestrian events. I was attending the gem and rock show put on by Silver Cove over the weekend. Great place to hold an event including weddings.

I attended a Calvary FC soccer game and I was blown away by the experience. A 6000 person covered stand, lots of concession stores, easy parking (but an outrageous $10 on top of the ticket price for the game, disgraceful really), and a great atmosphere. Soccer has come to Calgary and it's a fantastic venue really.

Very nice place to beings in the nature. Summer outside theater. Horses competition. They just bouth a soccer team and they built bleachers to accommodate 5000 peoples.

Facilities are great, have been there for the show jumping, Christmas market and a Cavalry FC game. Only issues are access (the ring road construction makes it difficult to get in/out) as well as the price at the concessions!

Really top notch equestrian place. Fun for kids too. Sometimes they have free carousel and pony rides. The bathrooms can be few and far between so when you see one take advantage!

The Christmas market is a must see. So many vendors and lots of things to do. We always stop in for a free family picture from Telus. Unfortunately, they don't have the band display anymore. I can understand vendors may be annoyed by it constantly going, but it was a nice touch in the past. Would be nice if some new vendors were added to the mix, along with with new products and more food options.

The spruces are in situ.the decoration must have taken a long time and is most impressive.
Indeed, the day after my visit the news showed the aerial view.just as impressive as being there.
Hot chocolate, coffee, wine, beer and some hearty meals available.
Definitely recommended.

Good holiday light show in the city. It's free, not at all crowded in my experiences, and you can walk and drive through the display. Definitely worth checking out before dropping $100 for a family at Zoo Lights.

Was ok. Went for the Christmas market. Disappointed in the vendors. Would have preferred more Christmassy and/or less expensive items rather than the $300 straightener some guy spent half an hour trying to sell me. Oh well, guess everyone likes different things. The atmosphere (decorations, fire pits, singers) were nice but most products were out of my price range.

Been going a couple of years now but think I will give next year a pass. Not worth the entrance fee.

Went there with my family for skating, hot chocolate, and to see the Christmas lights. It was amazing and will be part of our annual Christmas traditions!

This time of year spruce meadows is amazing.you can drive through the place and see all the lights or if you have your skates with you why not go skating on the pond! It's all free and the kids will love it.

Spruce Meadows is one of the top equestrian centres in the world. Top class service thanks to army of volunteers who appear to enjoy their work. Looks after seniors well with free admission and golf carts from.numerous car parks.
Lot of shopping options. Would like some cheaper food options as presently a $7.50 sandwich is the cheapest.they excel at the presentations during major events. Great military displays. Lovely statues around the grounds. The flowers in the rings are always excellent. The ring crews work well to get events off on time in any weather.

Very nice setting! This is a place good for family visiting as well as individuals who love horses and riding. World class riding events. Exhibitions and other events held frequently.

A couple of days ago, I tried to order tickets for the Master's tournament on Sept 8,2018. When I went on the website, it said Club International East Tables were $275.00 each. At Check-out, the total was $530.00.i tried to order the tickets by phone, and Nick (the person I was talking to on the phone), told me the itinerary was printed in March, and that the price had gone up. The website still said 275.00, and there was no way I could buy them at that price. The website had not been updated, so I feel I should have been able to buy tickets at the advertised.within five minutes of ending my phone call, the website had been updated to read $500.00! I feel that this is a gross example of very poor business ethics. Nowhere on the site could I find anything to say that prices are subject to change without notice. I am still upset by this action, and I will not support Spruce Meadows in the future. I even sent an email to SM about this procedure, but I have not heard back yet.

Inexpensive and a great way to spend the day with the family! Even if you don't know anything about horses or jumping, the owners go that extra mile. A must see when you are in Calgary. Tickets are often free for general admission!

This place is for the family. They have more then just horses and riding over fences. It is a place to be prowd of as it is number one in the world for the sport of the horse.

This is world class entertainment in the city. The international event in the Fall features the best riders in the world. Horses, entertainment, lots to see and do - a perfect event spot.

We got free tickets to an event here. Was a long drive, but worth it. Beautiful facility and very clean. There were things for the whole family here. You can even bring dogs. Lots of horse related areas and can get a education as well. Will definitely be back. Tickets are reasonable and you can spend the whole day there. Lots of parking

It"s one of the best places in Calgary to take your family, friends a most memorable and enjoying day or even two. It is kid friendly. I spend a lot of time there. It's rather magical.
