St. Albert Bottle Refund Center

I have been going here for 30 years and i have to say the owner is an amazing human, polite and personable. His staff are quick and efficient and always have a smile. They are on point withe the returns. Highly recommend going here.
Plus they have cardboard recycling, clothes bins and electronic recycling which helps on this side of the city.

I absolutely got ripped off here. I had 8 bags of bottles and came out with 54$. Unreal. I usually go to the other depot in St. Albert but I was closer to this one and wow, do I ever regret it. I take bottles in for my two and four year old and these guys decided to take a cut. These guys are absolutely a bunch of swindlers. Stay away. Head to the dept in Campbell Park and get the a fair return.

I just went to drop off a truckload of bottles and ended up getting screwed out of more than $100. I keep track of my crushed cans and had 3 full bags containing 900 cans each. This comes to $270 and then I had 5 other bags of mixed bottles.
I ended up getting $194.
I told him hes wrong and that I know what was in the 3 big bags and he said "you better count your own bottles next time".
I thought I had.
Not happy at all!

They lie about how much you get when returning. I have 10 bags and they said $34. They apparently counted the whole 10 bags and only shouted 64 and another small number lol. I counted the bottles before and there was way more. Don’t trust this place! They’re scammers!

Can verify- went to a different depot on Campbell, I seen a 270 count and received $30.30. I brought in 6 bags this time. There’s no way 10 bags is 64 plus a few more, comes to $34!

Count your own bottles and cans beforehandthey do not count them properly and rip you off! Went in today and brought up the guy counted incorrectly and he said "what you were counting them? " And yes I was! Afterwards buddy closed the window once I said he counted incorrectly! Not impressed! We will be pre- counting and bagging our own bottles from now on.

Been going here for years, usually very polite and honest. Today was an exception. Took in 13 bags of mixed recycling today and recieved $51. I asked the gentlemen about it and all he had to say was you had lots of bigger bottles. I usually take in same amount when I go cause it’s a truckload and normally would get in the $80-90 range. In saying all this I guess one better start counting again

These guys will rip you off. I'm going to have an investigation into this place and will be filming myself counting each and every can before I go in and watch them try to scam me.

Huge rip off if you walk with 2-3 bags you get decent money. I came with 26 full bags and walked with pennies.

I just came right now guy with the yellow car 3rd time I Come Car full last time I got 60 for 11 bags this time 58 for 13 bags all same bottles you guys are a bunch of crooks last time I come here

I live in Edmonton but I drive to St Albert to Reil bottle depot. You ask why? Well I hate automated bottle depot, I enjoy talking and I grew up in St Albert and have always loved the owners. The people who own it today are awesome, friendly, lovely, and I enjoy learning things about them. I will forever support this depot as they also give honest fair prices and never sneak money from you.
