The food was good.the food had bacon on it.my friends like the food and they ate the food and we would come back agin because it was good

Absolute blast, the whiskey menu is expansive. Great place to settle in with the lads or tuck a pint with the missus.

Awesome pub with a really great staff. Went above and beyond looking for a whiskey we wanted. Overall great atmosphere and we will definitely be back!

Had a good time here for happy hour! Staff were friendly and the yorkies were fantastic. Sorry I didn’t get a photo before inhaling them. My only gripe was that the whisky didn’t come in a glencairn like mentioned on their flight page. It’s part of the experience to fully enjoy a dram!

The food was so good. The burger it had bacon on it. The beer was funny but really good. I like burger and potato. The food made me sleepy and happy.

Live music, warm atmosphere, good service. Salt n pepper wings were delicious, affordable prices.

Prices have dramatically increased, plates have significantly shrunk, all topped off with the worst service we have ever experienced. Took over an hour to get our food and everything on the plate was cold. Extremely unacceptable.

What an incredible way to end our trip at Banff after a long day on a snowy hike! Our server Ash was great, he sat us right by the fireplace to warm up! I got the Sunday pot roast, and their delicous boozy hot chocolates! Everything was amazing- the Yorkshire puddings that came with the roast, the potatoes, and the apple pies that came with it for dessert! I wish I was staying another night just so I could come back here again! And the prices were great!

Jordan was so friendly! Told us all about the different nights at St James’s Gate and chatted with us about what to do with banff. Amazing service!

Always a lovely evening at the Gate! Consistently great atmosphere, great food, and if you’re lucky, great live music.

We had a wonderful server named Ashley. He was quite obviously English but pretended to be Australian for some unknown reason. Apart from that he gave great service and really improved the time we had.

Wonderful place, service was impeccable, food was incredible, and atmosphere made me want to live there. 199/10.
