Good staff and instructors. I keep going back to get my first aid from there. Recently, I picked up a first aid kit refill to meet the new CSA standards and they had no problem solving that for me.
Its ok. It's just annoying it's 8 am start to 5 pm. And 1 hour break. But it is what it is. Location for these courses is insane. YOU NEED A CAR. It's really a big Hassel to get there. They also sign up pretty quick for class which is awesome. But there was a weird mix up in emails where I did not get signed up properly, and I wasted time and money to get there to find out it wasn't properly signed up. It's very sporadic on what your supposed to do here. I arrived at 750 and doors were unlocked so that's good then you just go to the desk. And they tell u where to go. Bring a pen so your not scambling for one from staff. And bring snacks and lunch and drinks. Because this is a NINE hour course with NOTHING AROUND unless you have a car. Low score us really for location. And mix up. But meh. I also found the CPR bodies to be very dirty. Fallen hairs on their torso.finger prints. And a coffee stain. It's rather unkept and unsanitary.
As a father, grandfather, wildland firefighter, construction worker, not once have I been in a class where a student failed. An instructor named Elliott, on Saturday November 5th, failed 3 of my teens. With just a fail, no words of encouragement to come back, nor any questions to read back in case it was misunderstood! (UPDATE) After speaking with a Training Coordinator, this review went up from 1 star to 5 STARS
Came here for the therapy dog program. In the pre-evaluation meeting the program coordinator (leader, lady in charge, whatever her official title is) mislead us on the rules and disqualifying factors. Came back for the assessment a couple days later and my dog was disqualified for making a sound that did in no way resemble a bark although the yappy and whiny little dogs got to stay. Many red flags during the entire experience, the dog behaviourist was unprofessional, the room and setting of the meeting was set up for failure right from the start. Go literally anywhere else.
