Nice little park. The bathrooms were closed but it’s a short walk to a cool cafe on the river (just across the bridge) and we really enjoyed the windy road to get to the park, lots of trees and greenery
Quiet park nearby downtown. Transport access to St Patrick Island Park is easy. Bridgeland station is the nearest public transport location. And Zoo west parking lot (CPA Calgary 8302) provide many parking slot for drivers. Relaxing park for fall, playground for kids with picnic table. Recommend to every citizen live near downtown to express stress from work.
Gorgeous spot to cycle or walk through. Take your time and explore the island and its views of the Elbow and Bow rivers' confluence. Lovely and quiet spot in the middle of the city. I also enjoy the bridge architecture on the west side, it makes for a kind of grand entrance to a beautiful park. Bathrooms available on the east side.
Neat urban island park to spend your afternoon. Great summer water park to keep them kids occupied and a Hill for winter sledding. Great change of scenery for running.
It's such a great little park that makes me feel like I've escaped the city for a moment. The children love the playground and we enjoy the many paths through the park and along the river. Highly recommend!
We live in east village and regularly visit the island. I didn’t get the chance to see it before the flood but they have done a fantastic job. Our kids love to be immersed in nature and also have access to play areas.
There was no ice cream in the freezer, nor did they have money to go to the store. Mrs Miller wants the entire house repainted. Tom got a small piece of pie. Lets all be unique together until we realise we are all the same. That was how he came to win $1 million. The rusty nail stood erect, angled at a 45-degree angle, just waiting for the perfect barefoot to come along. There was no ice cream in the freezer, nor did they have money to go to the store. Cool spot to walk around by the river. Bring your kids or your dog along for a walk! There's a playground and a large hill for the kids to play on (or toboggan in winter). For those with dogs there are 2 little offleash spots to walk to (not on the island itself) East village park (small, fenced offleash) and Inglewood off leash (small, not fenced along the other side of the river)
The island looks nothing like it did 10 years ago. Amazing work has been done and even a new wet land marsh added.climing wall for kids.good play ground.amazing places to have cooking fire. Parking is not free except sundays
Great park. Kids love the playground! Its never over crowded, even on warm days. Love the little water area coming off from the bow, nice and shallow for the kids to play in and cool off after the playground.
It is a wonderful park with so many place grounds for children and beautiful walking trails as well. However, there are some games that children were needed adult's supervision. In conclusion, it is a good place for parent to hang out with kids
It's a good spot for a stroll and picnic. There are plenty of picnic benches and benches to sit around the park. It has a small and nice play area for kids. I was pleased to spot a infant swing for my baby. It has good spots for photographs. It has nice beach like area where everyone can enjoy! I recommend it!
Where do I even start? It's a beautiful park! A perfect place to relax whether by yourself or with others! Walk across the Bridge over the Bow River and look over downtown during sunset or sunrise! Breathe in and feel the cool breeze along the river bank. Even better, take a dip at the 'mini beach' before entering the park. I bring my pup there for a dip (on leash) and she absolutely loves it! You can even go up the hill and see a view of Calgary's skyscrapers. The park also turns in to winter wonderland during snow months. You can go sledding down the hill or simply, walk around and enjoy the view. This path also leads you right to the Calgary Zoo! We are lucky to have this space in our East Village community
Amazing place for a walk around the city while feeling part of nature. The bow river is beautiful. Lots of pathways. Options to rent electric scooters and bikes. Fun little playground with rock climbing. Cute little cafe's. Really nice views of the city and a great bridge.
This was a wonderful family day. There is so much to do here. Little wading area. Gorgeous bike and walking paths. There is a terrific sledding hill for winter. A little playground for the kids. A great viewing space for the Bow and 10 pokestops and 2 pokegyms.
A Lovely place for family outings and lunch in the park with great views and lots of trees and shrubs and flowers too. A great place for kids to enjoy playing with friends and families.
It is such a blessing to have amazing parks in our city like this. It's just crazy how Calgary is expanding and building such beautiful places for children families and adults. It's something that I would definitely recommend checking out because there isn't much like this in other cities it's got amazing playgrounds and places to walk and places to even just view awesome water scenes. I need a great place to retreat for the day, I would highly recommend this place.
Such a sweet little nature spot in the middle of bustling downtown. Always full of pedestrians, cyclists and humans all out enjoying the scenery, weather. We live in area so rather enjoy a quick trip there to walk the river and soak it all in. Definitely prettier to visit in winter or summer. Spring season is rather brown, dusty and a little gritty
