I went at this store yesterday to photocopy few documents, asked for help as it was my first time to use the service there. The associate named Nikki came to show the self serve machine when I requested her to help. The machine was not functioning as the power was off which I came to know later from another associate. I again went to her while she was chatting with her Indian colleague. She came and told me to pay first and left, didn’t even check if the machine was on or not. I tried few time nothing was happening, then I asked another senior customer behind me, she tried to help but was not working either. Then we seek help from another associate passing by who turned the machine on. I could try different machine but already prepaid on that specific one. Then I went to front desk, seek help, the girl with hijab/scarf over head came and showed me how to properly do the work. She was very helpful and friendly and I finally did all my work. I wish Nikki could have showed me or check the machine properly without rushing (there was no customer in the print/photocopy zone while I requested help), it could have saved my time. I won’t go to that location anymore because of this poor experience.
I'm sitting in the parking lot wondering why would I purchase anything here at East Hills after coming to buy a laptop and stood at the computer department for 15 minutes and no one to help me. There was no customers in store and staff accumulated at cashier area. Frustrated I left but at least the cashier said have a good day
Went in to print two 16x20 picture/poster. Online was showing we ~$17 per piece. I was charged $78 for two when I went to the store. They said it is because I came "in-person". Called customer care so many times only to be told they cannot help whatsoever for printing services. The agent proceeded to collect my email and phone number only to do nothing about it.
Great staff. If you don't find your item the staff goes out of their way. If they don't have they suggest check their competition (Michaels). Thank you girls it was helpful.
I came in to the store today to buy a product that the website said was in stock and on clearance. Unfortunately, the item had probably been stolen so the website was not up-to-date. Bhavik was super helpful and I am grateful. Without his help, I would have bought a product from a competitor but I spent my money here instead. This will be my Staples store of choice from now on.
Thank you Jordan for all of your help! Thank you for providing one of the best customer service experiences, in a very timely manner. Very friendly, quick, and efficient with my FedEx shipment.
Good service. This is a new store. I like it, even though it's a bit smaller that the typical Staples stores. I used curbside pick up, and that worked well.
My first and LAST visit to this staples location. Staff wasn't helpful. Very combative when I asked if envelopes were included with my Christmas cards. Manager raised her voice at me because the envelopes said they were included with my online order and she didn't want to give them to me. Absolutely terrible experience!
I wish I could remember the guys name that helped me out past closing with printers/ink. I was not sure what I was after but he sure helped me out. Keep up the good work.
I find it odd that reviews are shown from 4 weeks to 8,9, months ago. THIS LOCATION OPENED NOV. 21,2020. Posting this Nov 29,2020.
Chantelle in the Solution Shop was so helpful. I was expecting there to be a turnaround time for my request, but no. In and out in less than 10 min, and a lot cheaper than I expected.
I have been in Staples from Vancouver to Calgary to Edmonton to Regina, and as far north as Whitehorse YT. I have never had any issue with staff, managment, or services they provide at any location I have been to.
Just got my gaming desktop here also got some discount on office product as well. I like this location because first of all they have lots of stock whereas other staple locations tend to have none and do not seem to bother to help me out. Whereas this location was full of support from the start to the end, very specific and very helpful. I will come back for sure to buy my laptop next year.
Came in with a printing project and Chantelle was so helpful and did everything super quick for me. I went to go cut my documents and messed up a little and she just ended up reprinting and cutting them for me. Great customer service and very happy with the results!
Staples is NOT the place to send Fedex from. I dropped my package off June 3rd and received a call from Chantel at Staples 9 weeks later to let me know the box was still there apparently waiting for a dollar value on it. Ten days after that Chantel again called to say Fedex had not picked up yet and advised me to come get it and take it myself to the Fedex Shipping facility as she wasn't sure why they would not take it. Why did it take weeks to get a call from Staples that there was a problem! Thanks to part timer Chantel for letting me know and where is everyone else over there?
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Chantelle for printing a poster on short notice, during the evening of Thursday, March 5,2020. I had an important poster presentation the following day, and if it wasn't for her willingness to print a poster that I requested by calling at 7: 30 PM that evening, shortly before close, my poster presentation for work wouldn't have been able to occur. I picked up a previous version of the poster from another Staples location at 7: 00 PM that evening which had serious errors (i.e. Most of the title being cut-off), and the printing at that location was too backed up to print another version of the poster before my presentation was scheduled to occur. Special thanks for Chantelle for effectively saving my presentation through her quick and diligent work.
Great service and you can collect all your dried pens, markers which Staples accepts then recycles (nationally thru ia 3rd party recycler). Spread the word, stop buying bics, and start a jar of used pens to keep them out of landfill. TIA.
I didn't purchase anything there since I have zero money or disposable income in this wrongful detainment. Would get a higher rating if I hsd the ability to buy something.
It's just ok for office supply. I can never find anyone to ask for help or to point me in the right direction. And the prices often seem too high. When I do find someone or head to the cashier to pay, staff are always friendly and helpful.
I guess I prefer the cheaper prices and abundance of selection that online shopping offers. Sorry brick-and-mortar Staples.
As all of Staples locations, great customer service and everyone there is ready to help with any questions you have about their products.
Great back to school deals when you shop in August-September.
Iron shielding for phones and tablets is a unique decently priced deal as a replacement of buying glass covers which lead to air bubble spots on the phone's/tablet's screens.
I will always shop for office essentials in this place.
Came here to get something printed and they lost the measurements the first time I came. They didn’t call me to ask me for the proper measurements, they just cut it to bunch of random sizes. When I came to pick it up she was nice about it, apologized, and told me to call her with the proper measurements and she would make it the proper size. Well, I went there today to pick it up, and it was the wrong size again. I’m definitely never going back to this location to get anything printed and I won’t recommend them to anybody. I do gotta day, they were very polite and kind but I don’t understand how they can mess up a order so many times. 2 stars for effort. Lost 3 stars for quality
Came here for clearance Items and found a printer on clearance. Nobody knew if the printer was actually on clearance and had to call another store.
In addition, Tara, the supervisor/manager was super rude and gave everyone attitude even though the associates were patient and the customers were asking in a very friendly tone. What she did was belittling everyone.
The associate that helped us, Matthew, was super friendly and kind. He was running around trying to help us find the printer cable. He has only been there for 3 weeks but his passion to help and sell the printer was outstanding.
Terrible service, only one guy knew what he was doing and he was IN TRAINING. I stayed way longer then I should have because of their slow staff that are unaware of what to even do. I also had change left and wanted to buy something extra just to get rid of it and they WOULD NOT let me. I had to repeat words several times and they wouldn't listen to me, they kept brushing off anything I had to say. I'd give them 0 stars if I could. Worst service ever.
I forgot to mention the things I bought there were ALL broken.
Update: I went back and they didn't know how to hard reset a laptop- seriously
Have to leave backpacks or large bags at the front. Minor inconvenience but the fact that they have such a huge amount of office supplies makes it worth it. Prices for electronics are high.
Came to the copy department today around 10am. There were a few people there waiting for assistance so I waited in line. There was one employee working there at the time and they were pretty slow. There were other staff just walking around or chatting so after waiting for around 15 mins I asked if anyone else could help me as the one employee at the copy area was still assisting another customer. Three different staff ended coming over as the minutes went on to see what they could do but they all ended up saying I had to wait for the one employee as they weren't in the copy department and couldnt do anything to help. Eventually I got after over 20 mins of waiting. What I wanted to do was print 2 photos of a file I had in a usb. I was told I would have to come back at 1: 30pm to get the photos as the employee was assisting someone who had been there for 3 hours since when Staples opened. The staff are all nice and everything but I was just put off by how slow the service was and how other employees didnt seem to be doing anything but couldnt help because they werent working at the copy department.
Update: I went back around 1: 50pm to pick up the photos and they weren't ready yet. It seemed like it hadn't been printed yet so the staff only started working on it after I asked for it. I ended up leaving the store with the 2 photos around 2: 20pm.
I went to purchase a stamp at the Marlborough location today. Terrible service. I had to speak to a man over a video chat who asked me to provide my personal information to him out loud to complete my order. I should not have to give personal information out load in a store to anyone. The manager was not receptive to my concern.
The experience you have at this store is entirely based on who is on staff that day. Sometimes they can be quite helpful, but other times it's a struggle to simply purchase the items you came for. I really prefer the 32nd Ave location if I have a choice.
Went to buy a Grayson office chair that was advertised in flyer, found floor model but could not find the one that was in stock so offered to buy floor model but they wanted 20 bucks more for it. They lost a customer. Will not go back.
Went here to recycle some electronics and saw that service had abruptly ended, and the place it was moved to is too far to get to by bus. Thanks for that public service, guys!
