I accidentally ordered at the wrong mall for the mobile pickup and the team here was excellent. They made my order without charging me and we're super helpful.

Been here twice this week, once for a treat and second to redeem a free cake pop. Food was great both times! Second time I went to redeem a free cake pop, cashier was helpful in showing me how to redeem as I had never done it before. Bonus points because my friend works here.

I’ve NEVER seen this location being NOT busy. However, I’ve ALWAYS had good experience here as all the staff taking the orders aways greet you with a smile and a compliment. They never give you that “I’m tired and hate my job I hate you” look. I went there when I was exhausted after work not expecting a starbucks employee would make me feel better and more energetic. Thank you for your service!

I even said sorry to the barista before complaining that my 2 drinks just doesnt taste like what we ALWAYS order! One barista came to me saying i should order this and that next time blah blah blah, SHE DIDNT EVEN TRY TO CHANGE OUR DRINK! VERY RUDE! WILL NEVER EVER VISIT THIS SB again!

Unfortunately they don’t know how to make regular drinks here. No drive thru and slower then any store around. No worth standing in the super long line just to be disappointed.

Location is terrible if you have allergies.

I was clear at the till about my allergy.

When I got my drink and asked to confirm it was made without the lemonade and they gave attitude and said " the cup says made with water"

So I take it and 3 sips in I know its lemonade and look at the tag.zero mention of my allergy at all.

So I take it back and they did remake it but they gave zero care that my tongue was starting to swell up.just gave me a fake smile and said they'd talk to the staff.

Thanks for ruining my shopping trip that we ultimately had to cut short.

Normally I always have a good experience, but today, the older lady working in the morning around 8: 40am was extremely rude. When I asked her for a little extra milk and to remove a little of the excess foam (from shaking) from my drink (not to be mistaken with cold foam), she gave me attitude and told me "then you should've ordered a latte". Based on the photos of the drink, it should have 1 inch of foam not 2 inches. I order this drink 5 times a week for the past 6 months and never had an issue.

For a drink that costs around $5.50, it shouldn't be half foam. I've never had this issue before here, normally everyone is awesome, but this woman was rude, condescending, and argumentative.

UPDATE: Spoke to their manager on my break and she offered to make me another drink; not something I expected, just wanted to bring the issue to their attention, and she will discuss the issue with the employee that was rude in the morning.

Best Starbucks in the city! Love most of the staff here they are wonderful ️ My only remark would be that certain staff don't always follow dietary requests. I have been getting quite sick after ordering drinks that should have had a milk substitute. Or sandwiches that should have not had the cheese. Sad.

Staff do not honour the refill policy. Bought iced caramel macchiato, and they refused to refill for regular iced coffee. This is the first time this happened. I showed to them Starbucks refill policy from Starbucks website, and they still refused. Not impressed.

Don’t bother with this location. They don’t read your mobile order properly when you pay for extras. I watched them “remake” my drink by scooping out the cold foam to add something to my drink, and then not replace the extra cold foam I paid for. I had to leave so they couldn’t remake it a second time. Staff are snarky when you ask them to make your drink how you ordered.

Asked for a venti ice water with a scoop of strawberry, Mark told me they only have tall ice waters (quite condescendingly)

I paid $0.53 (the price of $0 ice water and a $0.50 scoop of strawberry in any other drink)

They made my delicious tiny ice water with strawberries

They then told me I had to be rung through again, and tried to charge me an additional $3.41 because it was technically an iced tea (what kind of tea is water and strawberry chunks)

I said no thanks

They gave me a $0.53 store credit (?)

I am not returning

Frap has almost no flavour and was super watery. Way too much ice and not enough of the proper ingredients. Very disappointed.

Best friend’s wedding in 2 hours and forgot to order the coffee ahead of time. While I thought I will be late for the wedding set up and help…etc. The lady Kathy I believe that’s her name, she called the other location to make sure the order was not placed by mistake, and helped me immediately. I was so happy and surprised by how fast and friendly she reacted to my request. Mall can be really crowded and noisy sometimes, but I find this location has an outstanding services, great job, and thank you for your immediate response and help.

Rudest staff member Vanessa refused to give me my banana bread in the plastic bag it comes in due to covid? Makes zero sense when I informed her that I’ve been paying / getting my banana bread like this every few days for over a year. I told her to call her manager she refused and when I told her she shouldn’t be working for this company she said come back next week I’ll be here/ hire cocky workers like this and you’ll lose out on money guaranteed.
3 girls came at me like I was in a bar fight over banana bread, very weird behaviour. The virus has everyone gone coo coo.

Visited Starbucks Southgate, staff was friendly, we ordered 2 white chocolate mocha‘S they forgot the Mocha. We thought we’d drink it anyway but couldn’t it was so sweet, so did take it back. They made another but forgot the white chocolate. It was horrible, so we threw them out. Just threw away 10.00 plus. We always order this when we go to Starbucks so know what they should taste like. The worst ever. So disappointed.

First time at this Starbucks location and I’m so impressed with the service. I decided to take advantage of the free drink offer when you become a Starbucks rewards member. The barista who dealt with me was so friendly and very accommodating of my order. She was patient with me as I was explaining the offer while trying to navigate through it. She was very attentive and even asked for further support to meet my needs. And since the app wasn’t showing a coupon for the offer, she still made the offer for me possible. I commend her so much for me. She made me feel looked after well and thanked me once I got my drink. I got the Matcha Creme Frappuccino and it tasted soo good! I’m so glad that I became a Starbucks rewards member. If anyone ends up ordering at this location you’re in for a good experience. Cheers Southgate Mall Starbucks!

Employees were friendly, drink was made quick. Had to mango dragonfruit refresher, it was really good. Lots of people standing around way to close to each other though waiting.

Store 15557. Took money and when asked about some incorrect change back the cashier became very defensive and rude. She proceed to hand the correct change over and then in a condescending tone asked if she thought she was trying to keep 3 cents. Order was around 11: 12 am. Last time we will ever go to the Southgate Starbucks. The other two staff members were nice.

This store was my first choice when I needed some coffee while in the Southgate. Now I am not sure if I even want to visit this store. Lately, I have been very unsatisfied.

I have been denied my free coffee refill even when I am a gold card member and stayed in the Food court the entire time. I have been to other food court locations (like the one in the Premium outlet by the airport or the old city center location before it was moved) and always able to get my refills so being in a food court isn't an excuse for their refusal in my opinion. The refill policy states I am eligible for a free refill within the same stay in the store so as long as I don't leave the food court I am eligible.

Called Starbucks customer service to report the incident. The customer service always told me I should not be denied for the free refill and they said they would contact the store manager and the district manager. The next time I went there, they still denied my refill. After 3 times, I am not sure if I want to continue visiting this store or just go to the Tim's instead.

Staff and coffee/food is fine, but the store itself could use some renovations. You basically have one long corridor and a table or two; not enough to support the store during busy hours which leads to long wait times when ordering. Patio outside looks out onto the parking lot, which seems like a waste of space given the location and our climate. If you want to sit down you have to go sit somewhere else in the mall.

The Starbucks in Safeway is faster if you just want a coffee.

EDIT: happy to see they're moving to a larger spot inside the food court. Will update.

Poor customer service here. I asked Gaby for two loonies instead of the twoonie she gave me with my change for my drinks. She refused. I suggested quarters would be ok, too. She refused. Although I realize it is not a requirement with the coffee purchase, I know that it was well within Gaby's capability and discretion to provide the two loonies instead of the twoonie. Why be obnoxious and difficult when you can just as easily be helpful and keep your customers happy? Merry Christmas.

Consitatancy and for such a small location they have to be on point given the volume of sales they are able to push through withoit compromising quality or customer service. Great job with a very small location!

The people here are always so friendly and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I work in the mall so I go here pretty frequently but every time is great!

Purchased two ice coffees today. One decaf made by a guy working and it was perfect. The second just a regular and it was pure cream, looked like a glass of milk. I thought I'd ask for it to be fixed so I could salvage my experience but the girl working explained she only put a little and asked if I had tried it. Sooo disappointed, took my pure cream coffee (which actually taste like whip cream not coffee) and threw it out. Went to a different location near by. Three stars because the man working made awesome ice coffee

1. I ordered a HOT green tea latte, and I found the staff overcharged it. I was confused, so I asked did they raise the price. The staff didn’t answer this simple question and asked me that you want it or not? I chose to let it go:) The first drink I got was green tea Frappuccino. I told the staff I want a HOT latte, and then I got Iced one:) The staff kept asking me do I want to take the iced one. It was -30 degrees, so I wanted a HOT drink:) They overcharged me and made me wait for extra 20 minuets, so they can make two free drinks for their coworkers:) I saw a staff was drinking the Frappuccino when I still waited for my drink:)

2. When I told the girl my mobile order was taken by other people mistakenly, she was VERY impatient with me, then she made a new one which tasted like water. I paid 6 dollars for a cup of water and your extremely awful attitude?

3. I ordered the Iced Flat White with NO ICE. I got the drink with a half cup of ice:) The NO ICE requirement was on the sticker. Can you read? Don’t put the impatient face when you made the mistake!
