Step Ahead Footwear & Shoe Repair

I went into Step Ahead Footwear Mahogany to have more notches put into my Dad’s belts. The gentleman who helped me was very friendly and performed the service free of charge! They had a great selection of quality footwear, and I will definitely return to this store for future purchases.

I came in to the Mahogany location to buy a pair of boots for work and was helped by Lisa. She was friendly and accommodating, she offered tips on the footwear and was knowledgeable about all of the products. She was attentive to all the patrons in the store but not pushy. Her son was equally helpful when ringing in my purchase and even offered to give my boots an extra coating of spray. Overall a great shopping experience and would recommend shopping here for all your specialized footwear needs.

Excellent customer service. Great place for personalized service, and hard to fit feet. Found a good pair of wide orthopaedic style shoes to fit my orthotics. Will be back again.

Lisa, the employee who took care of me, was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly patient and attentive to my needs. She took the time to understand my specific foot problems and helped me find the perfect pair of shoes that provided comfort and support.

Great customer service, very friendly staff. The reason for the 3 stars; we parked in the back and when we returned to our car we had a 70.00 parking ticket. We talked to the son of the owner and he said that when we came in the store we were supposed to register our licence plate. Unfortunately we weren’t told that when we got in the store. Partially on us though because we should’ve read the parking sign, but we just thought it would have said this parking lot is for the shops.

I went in on a Saturday afternoon not long before closing. Tried on a few things and ended up buying a pair of Rieker winter boots for myself and Blundstones for a gift. Both men were very helpful and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure to buy from them. It's a better experience than going to any other big shoe stores. This one is family owned and personal. I highly recommend checking it out.

Great store run by a great family. I went in looking for some shoes to help reduce foot pain and swelling caused by my shoes I bought from a big box store. I walked out with 2 pairs I would never have normally purchased but I trusted the owners recommendations. 1 week later, foot pain has eased up and no longer swelling up at the end of each day. Price is a little elevated compared to other big stores but the service is well worth it, and best to help small businesses.

Got a job at Walmart after the kitchen I was working at could no longer employee me anymore due to the covid 19 virus. I went looking for an open shoe store because I didn't have the right footwear for the job and thankfully stumbled upon step ahead footwear! They are going by appointment only keeping things extra clean! Gave great professional services with a reasonable price. They aren't cheep but they are 100% worth it for comfort and health. If you have foot pain because of footwear go see them ASAP.you can also shop online and over the phone and pick up your order but I would recommend giving them a call first!
