Sterling has been both supportive and flexible throughout the design and build process. The area sales manager has been particularly wonderful and provided regular communication and updates, which has been greatly appreciated.

Had a good experience of building a house with sterling. Few minor issues that can happen while building a house. The only thing that irked me was they dont provide humidifiers with their new homes, nor they would let you know about it when selling. We came to know after possession which is an out of pocket expense of 400$ for close to a million dollar house. Thats my only problem with sterling homes.

They built a beautiful house with excellent quality and craftsmanship! They are very flexible and knowledgeable. Post purchase service is beyond expectations. I am glad that I chose Sterling Homes to build our dream home!

I am not at all happy with Sterling homes and I don't recommend them to someone. My house is under warranty and I have a leakage in my basement floor from 5 days now. I called the emergency number and they said they will send a technician to look at it. I also sent photos of my basement floor, but not one came yet and now sterling homes representative is not picking my call. I can see that the representative is reading my messages but I am not getting any help from them.

So Sterling homes don't give support if anything happens to your home after few years. So please be careful before buying from them.

We've been in our Sterling home now for 7 months and although they had a few issues to correct for us, I can honestly say I'm very happy with the service I have received in the building process and with the post possession after care.

The service has been phenomenal, and we are especially thankful to Raman. She was very helpful regarding the plan, ideas and maintained good communication with us during the whole process. As you know this is our first home and we don't have any experience but you've helped us a lot.

Sterling Homes sold us our first home in Alberta just this past April 2021. We're super happy with the quality of the build. The home is energy efficient in the summer and winter. Yes, there were a few things that needed repairs but those were taken care of very efficiently. If you're looking for a quality builder, and a house you will be able to call a home for many years to come, then give Sterling a try.

They are sell homes which are not finished and safety risk. If you buy their home, you have to live like a home less person and keep everything in bags. They keep hiding behind supply chain issues.

We built our house with pacesetter and dealt with Harinder and had the best experience. Harinder is very knowledgeable, kind and trustworthy. She was great help throughout the whole journey, very accommodating and answered all our questions and queries. I recently assisted my clients purchase a home Through Sterling, in Okotoks. Nicole O'Dell was the sales associate that was helping throughout the process. Both my clients and myself could not have been more impressed by the service provided by Nicole and the team at Sterling, from start to finish. This year 20% of our Intermediate/Advanced level carpentry students are choosing to enter Carpentry, Plumbing, and Electrical Trades due to Sterling’s support. All of our students are building an understanding of how the systems in our homes work to keep us safe, comfortable, and healthy. We moved to Wedderburn in Okotoks in April. We’ve been really impressed with the whole building process. Nicole was really helpful and knowledgeable about all the options available. Nicole sent us photos and updated us regularly about the progress. She went above and beyond our expectations and responded to queries we had promptly. Nicole O'Dell was the representative at the D'Arcy Showhome in Okotoks we had first dealt with. From the first interaction, Nicole cared about what we were looking for. She was exceptionally responsive in our communication every step of the way. She even showed up for our first walk through because she wanted to see it too. If we had any expectations when building a first home, Nicole went far beyond that!

We built our forever bungalow in Sirocco just moved in 2 weeks ago. Our entire process was fantastic. Before we even signed anything, Sarah customized our home on paper giving us everything we wanted. Any change, concern, she was right there with us and made our first experience building a home so easy. Once construction began, dealing with Craig, site supervisor was just as great. He answered any question we had, was always courteous, and accessible and worked with us for any changes we had and also had great recommendations.
We are so grateful for our experience, would highly recommend this team to build your dream home.

Amanda was absolutely amazing! She was very knowledgeable and helped us along every step of the way! She even sent us a picture of our new home any time there was a new development with it!

We bought a spec home through Sterling in Drake Landing, Okotoks.
I have to say that the house was well built and we have had only very minor issues in the past 2 years. Those minor issues were brought up to Trish in the warranty department and NIck was always super quick to come and address them, or take a look and have the proper subcontractor deal with the issues quickly.

I have been more then impressed with the house and the Sterling team, and can say without a doubt that if my job takes me somewhere else that Sterling is building, I will be sticking with them.

These builders were great! End to end care, they really held everything together when we needed it. This was our first house build and we couldn’t have done it without Shilo in Harmony. She was always quick to answer our questions and knowledgeable about every trade, which made it easy to navigate all our meetings. Katherine was was also super helpful having recently built herself she really knows the ins and outs. The warranty and walk through teams have been very helpful as well giving us access for pictures to find studs during the build. And after, addressing any issue or question we come across. We could not be happier we chose Sterling as our builders.

Once they have your deposit, and the conditions are removed. Area manager will not return your calls, they will refer you to their sales manager ANNA.
Sales manager has no interest or care to resolve the issues with the house. She claims we sell lots of houses so if you're not happy TOO BAD.
Basically you are on your own after handing them half a million dollars.
They claim they build good houses, maybe, but definitely have the worst customer service.
Maybe they should look into sending their front line workers to a customer satisfaction/retention seminars.

My wife and I spent several months looking in and around Okotoks for our forever (ish) home. We had offers on two homes throughout this process which THANKFULLY fell through because it led us to look at new builds with Sterling/Pacesetter. We were greeted by Luiza and had an amazing experience throughout the tedious process of buying/selling our home (s). She was always available to answer any questions and was very Knowledgeable with regards to the features of their homes and the financing framework. We would absolutely recommend buying a home from these guys! They were incredible to deal with AND their homes are exceptional inside and out.

I recently worked on a sale with Amanda Loh in airdrie and it was fantastic. As a realtor I deal with all kinds of sales professionals and she was a step above the rest! Her attention to detail and speedy response time was very much appreciated by myself and my clients. She accommodated our needs and not only delivered exactly what my clients wanted but blew their expectations out of the water. We all had a great experience working with Amanda and Pacesetter!

Purchased a home through Sterling this summer. I have already moved in and been here a few months. I have had no issues at all. In fact, I have previously worked for 4 Master Builders and built 6 showhome models and moved frequently. So have done my homework. Derek was exceptional. I believe in letting people do their job and he did his perfectly. He was professional, knowledgeable and punctual for every question, issue and thought I had during my purchase and move-in. He took care of all the details, didn't complain or have any problem clarifying and reclarifying details. There are a lot of moving pieces involved in moving, buying/selling and I am glad Derek lived up to my high standards. Not only would I recommend Sterling, I would absolutely consider rebuilding and purchasing again in the future, should my needs change. Excellent Warranty and customer service staff in Pamela also. I have had far less issues with Sterling, than when I worked for other local builders. Thanks Derek and Sterling - you made moving easy and enjoyable. We bought a quick possession home a few months ago. We wanted to have a newbuild but did not want to wait long. So we looked at the houses of a few builders available in the area. While they all looked somewhat similar, the quality of the Sterling houses, their design, materials and the support from Sales stood out, so that was a decisive factor.

The new house will, of course, have issues, so did ours. We identified a number of minor items during the first three months, such as with stairs, flooring, and windows. However, all our concerns were taken care of in the proper way, we were not left alone with all that staff. That brought totally different perspective to our relationship with Sterling. Especially, when I hear from friends and colleagues that their experience with their builders was totally opposite.

I highly recommend Sterling Homes - good people and professionals.

We have really loved the process of purchasing a home from Sterling. This is the 3rd new home we have built/purchased and we've seen good builders. Sterling has been the best and Sterling's attention to detail has been amazing. There trades have been great too, their flooring trade came by to fix a lose board, saw a scratch from one of the children and fixed that too! If there is a 4th it will be with Sterling

Cannot recommend this builder. There were quality issues that the builder refused to correct. The warranty department is particularly unhelpful. For example the back fill settled 3 feet within 18 months of possession, and they did nothing to remedy the situation.

This is the worst company to buy a home from, I wouldn’t wish the experience on my worst enemy! They completely lie until they get your money than they are completely honest with you about how the sales team doesn’t care about anyone, only to figure out the future people who are supposed to fix the problems won’t do anything for you right away. God forbid if you need something fixed, I’ve had many nails sticking out of my shingles because they hire very unprofessional companies to do the job as they under pay these companies for vast job contracts and I’ve been complaining for months now since it’s been raining so much but of course they will see what they can do.my garage pad had excess amount of concrete poured and oops it’s not they’re problem apparently.but they’ll see what they can do about it they hid a bunch of stuff from the purchasers such as having to seal your concrete every year or it’s not warrantied but only once you’ve given them the money of course. To sum it up into one word amateurs from top to bottom amateurs!

I've had the opportunity to work with Sterling Homes in a professional capacity. They are an incredible group of passionate people who genuinely care about their customer experience.

After having built two other homes through similar sized builders, I had vowed to never do it again. However, after having visited the Mountainview neighbourhood in Okotoks and meeting the area manager, Doug Anderson, our thoughts quickly changed. Doug is very knowledgeable in the building process and also very accommodating in taking the time to review our requested design changes and providing recommendations. Although our home is based on a standard floor plan, Doug and Sterling were willing to make the numerous changes we requested to make it our own. With every change made, it was clearly documented and reviewed on several occasions before the build started to make sure all details were addressed. Doug takes full ownership of this process to ensure the customer is satisfied - he is a true professional and very good at what he does.

Further, the build process has exceeded my expectations. I was accustomed to the build starting and, if you had any questions, you would have to go through the sales office to get answers. With Sterling, the local construction managers, Vance and Craig, arrange for thorough walkthroughs of the house at various stages of construction. They both provide their cell numbers to contact them directly with any questions and are very quick to respond. Given that we made numerous changes to the original plans, they carefully reviewed these details with us to make sure everything was done correctly. Also, the coordination of trades has been quite impressive to watch - there seems to be activity happening every day and constant progress.

All in all, the customer service and quality from Sterling has been excellent. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to build.

We are currently building in MountainView and our experience thus far has been fantastic. The area manager, Doug, has been exceptional in helping us customize our home down to the very last inch. My experience with Sterling, and most importantly with my area manager Sarah, was nothing short of amazing. From day one Sarah showed a pure sense of professionalism, expertise and kindness along every step and every little detail of my house building process, and of course went over and above to make every transition enjoyable and effortless.
I cannot thank her enough for the outstanding dedication, pride, extremely hard work and unparalleled devotion to bring me all the information required and being available almost every minute of the day, even outside her normal working hours. It was sometimes hard to believe that someone could be this incredibly engaged and trustworthy, she definitely made it feel far greater than just a client-customer business deal. Every big and small issues that came up she made it feel like a breeze and handled everything with such ease and enthusiasm.even after the delivery of my home, she continued to check in to make sure everything was perfect. There is really everything to say about her as she was the main and major piece from start to finish. Thank you Sarah, it was a true honour and appreciate all that you have done!

The same goes to the rest of the Sterling personnel I have dealt with on the finishing and warranty side (Shane and Pam). Just great people and strive for the same perfection and standard I except in all aspects of a newly built home.

Be sure to hold the builder accountable through the process as the attitude is "this is a new build so it will never be perfect. " This attitude somehow justifies accepting reduced quality standards.

We took possession of our Sterling Home in Mountain View in Oct 2018 and our overall experience was fantastic.
The reason we chose Sterling was because we were a previous customer however that doesn't mean we didn't shop around. Ultimately after meeting with Doug (area manager) a number of times, he diligently designed all the required changes to a home design and gave advice to make the home that worked perfectly for our family. Other builders lacked this flexibility and ultimately when you compared specs etc.there was no price differential for this bespoke service.
During the whole build, nothing was too much trouble for Doug and Amanda and they always had time to answer our questions or make changes to the build; even though we knew they were busy with other clients designs. They always made us feel welcome. They also called meetings regularly to go through the up to date process, Blue Print review etc.which was explained at great length, sometimes outside their office hours. Doug do you ever go home?
When the build was commenced, we also met the site managers Vance and Craig, and again they always had time to answer calls, meet at site to go through the process and answer any questions or concerns we had. They kept a tight control over the trades and the quality of the build shows in the finished product.
We have just had our one month warranty meeting and of course with so many items in a home build there are always a few minor issues to put right. The warranty people, Trish and Nick, true to their word, immediately said they will put these things right and have continued to give advice with questions that I have.

The experience we had with Sterling 10 years ago was excellent but this time it has exceeded that and our expectations. It really was fantastic. I would have no hesitation in recommending Sterling Homes to anyone and would definitely build again with them. Doug, as mentioned, feel free to send any prospective clients round to speak with me if they have any questions from a clients perspective.

Sterling staff have all been excellent and eager and quick to respond to any concerns. All details are dealt with no matter how small. Time schedules were kept and if any changes needed to be made the staff were happy to accommodate as best as possible. Very happy with the workmanship of our home.

We built in Okotoks with Sterling Homes and from the beginning working with them has been excellent. They were very open to have their plans modified to fit our family's needs, and have informed us all along the way about the progress on the house build. When we got to walk thru the house, the Sterling rep that helped QA the work was OUTSTANDING. We can't say enough about how fantastic the experience has been. The quality of the build is top notch. Our experience with Sterling Homes in Cornerstone has truly been amazing. Everyone in the whole process from entry into the show home to possesion were very professional and friendly. We've been to many show homes before this but Sterling homes really stood out with quality of the home and we were so impressed that we simply couldn't move past them. The sales manager was incredibly friendly and responded to our many, many questions and requests immediately and never showed the slightest hint of annyonace! Right up to possession, the sales manager was always there for us. The construction supervisor and house walk-through coordinators were also extremely helpful and friendly and went through every detail of the house to makesure it was the way we wanted it. I'm very happy with Sterling Homes and am very glad to say that they lived up to their reputation as being one of the best home builders in Calgary.

Next after possession came in Virtuo, the move-in concierge, and I honestly can say it was one of the smoothest move experiences I've ever had. They literally set up everything for us: they handled all the utilities and cable, called up everyone that we needed to contact, and made the move to the new house incredibly smooth and easy, it was almost as if I did nothing! Everyone at Virtuo and the moving people made our life so easy, all with a professional and super friendly attitude. I would definitely recommend them!
