Very dirty
Staff is very rude
Their pit boss and bar make up their own rules about buying drinks. We pulled up the AGLC and to ask why an entire team is cut off when people were on drink 2 or 3.
They don't know their rules
Very ignorant
Over priced
Their dealer screwed up and called a 21 when he had 23 so we asked to review the cameras after one of our parents caught it and their cameras "don't show the proper side view of chips" ever since then we did not get treated well at all.
Smells like smoke everywhere
I will never book a hockey team at this hotel ever again.

Visited the casino restaurant and must say, their chicken wings are a delight! Bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked, they're a definite highlight of the menu. Great spot for wing enthusiasts looking to pair gaming excitement with delicious bites.

Finally a night at Nakoda Resort & Casino. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Leather couch and king bed. Large Tv. Out the window beautiful view of mountains. Nice sunset and even beautiful sunrise. Fridge, microwave. Large shower and separate bath tub. Lots of hot water pressure. Clean and a casino. Restaurant and lounge. Good food and great service. Ordered the Chicken pot pie. Lots of chicken, vegetables. Crispy crust covering the sauce and vegetables. Served a bit different. Large bowel. Decided to try their breakfast. Had the classic, 2 piece bacon. 2 eggs cubed potatoes, 2 pieces of toast. The potato’s were just cooked, hot and tasty. Service and food were very good.

The clientele partying in the parking lot made my partner and I feel uncomfortable. Once we were inside and checking in, I was approached by a woman who was clearly very intoxicated and mumbling incoherently.again making me feel uncomfortable.

The room itself was nice, but the curtains were gross and the duvet was just sandwiched between two flat sheets. I assume the duvet itself isn't washed regularly (just the cover), so the cleanliness is questionable.

I would not recommend staying here and am disappointed I spent money here.

We travel by RV, Stoney Nakoda Restort allows us to stay overnight or for a few days in the parking lot. We always have dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. The service is excellent and the food is delicious. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly. This is a wonderful place to stay.

Showed up on wing night. Wings were pretty solid.

Stayed for three nights. Only complaint is that all I could smell was cigarette smoke throughout the building.

I hosted a 3 day event here including conference rooms, catering, and hotel room blocks and everything has been amazing! From day 1 Vikki has been working with me in organizing everything and she has been fast, organized, wonderful to work with, and extremely accommodating. Our event space was great and any on the fly adjustments that needed to be made Stoney was very accommodating. The catering for all 3 days has been delicious food and delivered on time every time. The catering team is wonderful with timing and working with our schedule and always quick to reply if we request anything additional. The hotel rooms and room blocks; all participants and our team enjoyed their rooms, everything was clean and comfortable.

I would definitely recommend hosting an event here!

The only reason I am leaving a 4 star review is to our Casino waitress Victoria. I understand that Covid created a lot of issues with staffing but we went to the dining room and were told that they were short staffed (there were three staff out in the dining room with 12-15 tables and were told it would be 30 minutes or so to be served or we could go to the casino). We chose the casino. We heard Victoria apologizing profusely to the customers for poor service or mistakes with orders. She is taking on the responsibility of the supervisors role. Where is the supervisor? That is not the serving staff role. The steak that we ordered was supposed to be medium rare and came well done after being advised that it shouldn’t be ordered more that medium. Very disappointing and when the supervisor was advised, no apology or reduction in price. Not even a conversation about it with the supervisor. If you want more people to come, I would suggest that you hire more staff and incent them to do well and they will stay. Promote your buffet on a highway billboard! We were very disappointed to find out that it’s advertised on your site but it’s not available now. Get the staff, give them the ability to earn more with incentives, advertise on the highway to bring customers in and above all else, ensure that your managers and supervisors are doing their job and also conversing with the customers. As a Regional Operations Manager myself customer service is priority one. Ensuring that Managers and Supervisors know their role and take interest in what is happening in their departments is priority two. Be a team player. I wish I didn’t have my current role (which I love) as I would apply for a management role and make many changes. Victoria you are amazing and I hope that your management team realizes what a gem you are!
Build it and they will come!

The location was good. The hotel itself seemed old but the room with mountain view was also good. Our server of the restaurant was nice.

This hotel is very clean and the staff were awesome! However, there are some maintenance issues such the phone worked intermittently, 2 wall plugs did not work as well as one lamp did not work.
The pool and hot tub are well maintained.

The second time in this lovely hotel and I have to say, the bed sleeps better than the one at home:) Great art all over the hotel, worth while to have a look around! The staff is very friendly and the location is nice and quiet! Thank you guys

Passed by here many times and never had the chance to check it out until now. At the last minute and after driving for eleven hours, I decided to stop in late one evening as a "very tired" walk-in guest. The on duty front desk clerk- "Andrew", greeted me and asked how I was doing.we chatted back and forth for a bit while he processed my Visa and made up an access key card. Andrew was excellent, he was conversant, professional, and prompt. It was an excellent experience for me considering I was really beat and had little patience. He obviously had the gift of conversation and he made me feel really welcome. On his advice I hit the lounge right away to make the meal service hours. While there, Kayla was assigned as my waitress and she too came across as sincere, polite and efficient. She followed up by periodically checking on me in the casino while I let my self wind down, do a little gambling entertainment then hit the bed. All in all, two staff working in separate areas helped to make the stop-over a pleasant and relaxing experience. In my opinion the staff culture there is an excellent example of professional client-centered service and represented a well run resort. I'm definitely stopping in again.

Would recommend this place to stay. 10ish minutes to Canmore and 30 to Banff. Rooms were very nice with 2 queens and ample room other wise. The hotel IS dog friendly and we sure appreciated that.
There is a casino and restaurant on-site. The casino is a smoking casino so remember that when booking. Food was good in the restaurant.
The only downside was the exterior of the hotel.you could say it was in the vein of a western.there were horse apples everywhere so you just had to watch your steps.

I had the absolutely worst experience.

This hotel was booked through work, they said they could not charge my employers card from our booking so I had to pay on my card an additional $250 above the fee. The hotel faxed my employer and he faxed the credit card verification next day. They have now over charged him by $2000.

When I checked in on Tuesday and the room I was offered had a ground floor highway facing window that could be opened and screen was ripped. (See attached picture)

Then I moved rooms and combined my reservation for Thursday & Friday night. Two days later, I received a phone call asking if I was checking out which did not make sense as my reservation was till Friday. I emailed the hotel my booking and confirmed that I was staying until Friday.

When I arrived Thursday night I was locked out of the room. The hotel checked me out and had lost my stuff except for my air purifier. They also ran through additional charges on my card.

I spent two hours at reception trying to recover my lost items and get a new room and I still have not received over $400 of lost items including food and cosmetics. I also had to go into a long day of environmental fieldwork without the food I had prepared for myself.

I talked to Lino directly on Thursday and he said he was too busy to help me and not at work. I emailed and texted the hotel to see if I would be reimbursed for my lost or stolen items and my texts and emails were never returned.

The staff was mixed, the staff working on Tuesday and Thursday night were professional. Lino and Karen were aweful to deal with.

I was contacted saying I would be refunded over a month ago and even gave my credit card information. I still have not recieved a refund for my amount.

Do not go to this hotel. WHAT A NIGHTMARE.

Very poor and unpleasant service, just wanted to have a dinner visit with family, the server simply would not accommodate our party of 5. We were wiling to wait but we’re told it was going to be a very long wait, felt so unwelcome, finally had to walk away

WORST DINING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. My family used to like coming here but tonight we felt the most unwelcome we’ve ever felt at an establishment. After a day of hiking 5 of us walked in hoping for dinner before we had to part ways and watched the sever just seat a couple. We saw a table for 4 and a table for 2 clean and set. There were only about 12 tables total. After waiting for 5-10 minutes at the door and making eye contact with 4 staff nearby, we walked closer to the “please wait to be seated sign” and waited for another 5 or so minutes before my aunt started walking towards the staff asking if we could have a table for dinner. The server looks at the two empty tables and shrugs saying there was only a 4 top open so it would be a 45 minute wait. We asked if they could just pull a chair from the other open table but they seemed insulted and said there would be no way for the staff to get around the table even though there was a ton of space. We tried going to the lounge but my brother forgot his ID and they wouldn’t let us in. We spent about 10-15 minutes waiting in the lounge to see whether he could just eat and not order any drinks. We then went back to the restaurant and a new couple was waiting there. We explained that we were just there and couldn’t get into the lounge and tried to get the attention of the server. We watched as two groups at the booth left and staff busily cleaned the 4 tops next to each other. Then the server acted like she had never seen us before and promptly sat the couple at one of the booths even though there was a clean 4 top and 2 top available. We asked if we could have three people on the booth which was quite spacious and had plenty of room between the other tables but they were firm saying no there was no way we could do that. We then explained we were starving and pleaded to just let us split up so two of us could sit at the 2 top and the other three could sit at the 4 top. The server seemed uncomfortable and said it would be a very very very long wait because she has just sat another table and still needed to help a second table. The place seemed to be under control and as someone who has worked in the service industry for years, I couldn’t see any signs the restaurant seemed out of control or overly busy for the number of staff. After sitting down for a number of minutes, we started to feel extremely uncomfortable and it was clear no one was going to serve us, so we finally walked out. We wasted at least an hour, starving, and the situation really put a damper on the evening with my family. I felt we were being polite and patient and I do not know why we were treated so poorly but I will not be returning and neither will my family of friends.

Cleanliness was immaculate, Gues service was amazing and helpful. However, there was no crib or playpen, and the restaurant service was horrible, I waited 45 minutes for Oatmeal, my toast was cold, and eggs were not what I asked for, I was very hungry and truly disappointed in the food.

The hotel, is very lack luster compared to the rating it currently has. My personal room had a great view and it was a good size. Unfortunately, it was dirty and extremely outdated.

During my stay, there was constantly people running in the halls. The bed sheets were uncomfortable, and the room kinda smelt funny in general. Definitely wouldn't stay here again.

Experience at the restaurant was just awful. Upon walking in with a group of 5, they claimed there were no open tables even though a table for 4 and 2 were clean and set and it would be at least a 45 minute wait. They would not accommodate us or even allow us to split our group up/ pull up a chair. We couldn’t go into their lounge due to one of our members not having physical ID on them. We go back a few minutes later, there are 5 open tables! Two large booths were freed up (meant for 4 but we are small people and completely willing to squeeze). The two booths were right beside each other and we said we would be completely fine sitting at the two tables even though we could fit into one. Instead, they ignore us and brought in a group of 2 into the large booth, when there was a small table right beside it meant for 2 people! Finally she gave in to let us sit (at two awkward tables far apart even though we could fit in one), but dramatically complained that she “could not get to us for a long long time. ” With 7 tables? What kind of server can’t serve 7 tables, even if it’s busy all you need to do is drop off some water and mention you will be a few minutes. Just unbelievable, I have never felt so uncomfortable at a restaurant before and have service staff be so unaccommodating. I am a restaurant server and manager and am well versed in the industry, this treatment was completely unprofessional and management needs to address this. Will not be coming back, which is unfortunate due to it being the only restaurant around. Such a sour way to end my last day with my family before I leave.

Stayed 3 nights and had a decent stay, but had a very frustrating time with a Breakfast mishap. They tried to say we stole breakfast, they didn't bring us a bill just let us walk out. The next day they hunted us down with security and told us they were going to arrest us if we didn't pay for our meal the day before. Besides that it was a decent stay, probably won't stay there again. But the experience was there.

We stopped in to get lunch and we sat down at a table. Waited 5 minutes while the bartender/server was chatting with someone else. They saw us come in and sit down and did not acknowledge us at all. We decided we were not going to wait any longer as we were not left with a good impression.
