Strathearn Heights Apartments

Breaks my heart to post this review because of how much time and passion my partner and i put into this place.but unfortunately management just isnt good.my partner and i applied about a month ago for the bi level 2 bedroom.we got no call, no email, nothing.we called them after a week into august and they told us they tried calling us and left a voicemail stating we could move in mid to late september.however neither of us received this voicemail or phone call.they said on the phone 'well i hope we dialed the right number' and then proceeded to tell us they had given up the spot for us.it's unfortunate that they treated us like this.especially because they never even tried to follow up on their original message, and now we are paying the price for their mishap.

Rudest staff ever and to deal with on the phone. Call to just ask about availability and not even a nice voice she complains she can’t hear me, I hang up call back, must have read the number, still rude, tells me she still can’t hear me although I have a brand new phone and the volume is up to the max! Don’t put people in the office with no customer service or if they don’t like kids! Sorry they are loud, but come on they are young! Family orientated buildings yes not staffing that’s for sure.
Sad too because I’ve recommended it to so many people

I lived there for almost 7 years. Staff and neighborhood is amazing. Apartments and surroundings are well maintained and neat and clean. Staff is very helpful, especially Ruperta is very professional, helpful and extremely kind. I strongly recommend this place to live.

I lived in Strathern Heights Apts for 15 years. I loved it. Being across the street from houses it never felt like an Apt. It was clean and well maintained. The lawns were cut, lots of flowers.
Snow was shovelled. Yes, the laundry was a little inconvenient but that didn’t matter. Management was awesome. Just recently took a walk down memory lane and went and seen my old suite, where the tenants so graciously let me tour my old home. Nostalgia, brought tears to my eyes. (Thank You J & L) Strathern truly is a charming little neighbourhood. Please change your pet law to allow a small dog. I want to move back. ️

We found this place when it was recommended to us by a friend. We've been here nearly six months and we absolutely adore it here. Its clean, our neighbors are nice people, ita quiet and next to at least 3 beautiful parks. We have one of the little one bedrooms and its the perfect size for a couple.we also love the gas stove and heating, it keeps the place so warm when its abit chilly out. The management staff are all incredibly friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. Plus the price of rent really cant be beat!

Came back to say, we lived there for three years and we still loved it, we honestly regret leaving and have thought of coming back. Moving from strathearn heights was the worst decision we ever made.

I have lived in Strathearn Heights for a few years now. The community is generally quiet, always some colorful personalities, but that is to be expected. The suites are quite large, the rent you pay is worth the space and the inconvenience of not having in-suite laundry. The buildings are older and I think they make more noise than the tenants haha. Strongly recommend.

I enjoy living here, and it's a nice bonus that it is very affordable. You have freedom in your suite, but they do have a few rules (none of which are unreasonable). I have recommended Strathearn Heights to many friends on the hunt for a nice, affordable place in a quiet neighbourhood, and will continue to do so.
I made this review years ago, but I am coming back today to revise it, simply because over the years, living here has gotten better. The yard maintenance folks, are absolute sweethearts. (If you see this, you know who you are!) Roberta is honestly always so pleasant to deal with, it continuously blows me away. I will be sad when we eventually will have to leave here because it is a lovely littls area in this city?

I miss living here! The community, staff and area is amazing. The staff were very accommodating, friendly, always taking care of landscape seasonally. I felt safe. The buildings are large, although older in the most quaint manner, it was home.

OMG my husband and I went to look at our new apartment. It is very nice indeed wow thanks to all the great people who work for this company. If any one looking for a new home yu need to talk to the two ladies in there office. Thank yu again for making our home safe for us.

Good overall but they don't allow laundry appliances or dishwashers, even ones designed for apartments (no hookups, ventilation filters, etc.).

They also haven't had any of their buildings hooked up to the Telus Fibre network even though it's in the area.

In spite of those negatives the buildings and grounds, while old, are consistently maintained and under normal circumstances (no pandemic happening), extra maintenance issues are addressed promptly. And the staff are all great.

We lived here for over 5 years and it was a fantastic experience. Any repairs were attended to quickly, the staff was friendly and helpful, it was a great location, and great value. We would have stayed longer if 3 bdrm suites were available.

I have lived here for about 9 years in a total of 4 different apartments. It is a lovely place to live. It's like a hidden treasure right in the middle of the city. It is quiet, secure, clean and at close proximity to a lot of places. Capilano Mall is close by for groceries and supplies. The buildings are old but very well maintained. The staff are friendly and attentive and are always willing to work with you. The rent is reasonable too. Living here also gives you great access to lovely trails along the river valley. This has been my personal experience with Strathearn Heights.

Lived here for a year about a year ago, referred here by a friend. The place was small and cozy and neighbourhood is amazing. Management was great and maintenance was quick. Would recommend to anyone looking to rent in a great location for a great price. Only downside was washing machines and once in worked poorly or shredded some t shirts.

Also I cleaned the apartment properly upon move out and I was given my deposit back.

This place is great
I’m giving it a one star because I think they need to get their stuff together.

They caused us a lot of stress due to the fact that they LOST half of our rent money which should NOT HAVE HAPPENED in the first place.
Waisted 15 minutes of our time looking for it.
Word of advice, don’t pay through e-transfer and get a receipt.
Ridiculous.

Buildings are 50 years old and very noisy. You can hear everything happening upstairs. No kitchen hood. And you need a car to shop or walk about 2 miles to capilano mall. Worse, they don't return your deposit! Charge hrs and hrs for normal cleaning that is normal results of living in a flat. I would not recommend this company

Bad service.i went for a viewing and it was a mess.lovely neighborhood but the buildings i honestly dont think they would pass a health code.smells like mold and rot the second you want into the buildings.i check out a few of the buildings because i figured it may just have been the one building but it wasnt.all of those have a really awful smell.very run down.and doesnt look like it has regular maintenance.you could also very clearly hear everyone in the buiding.paper thin walls.i wouldnt not recommend unless you are really desperate for someplace to live. When i brought up the smell and maintenance of the buildings to the lady who was running the buildings she simply said: " its an older building.thats why its like that"

Beautiful location close to the river valley, welcoming and accommodating staff, quick to respond to concerns, fair and equitable in their dealings and the reasonable rent costs make it a win win! I definitely recommend!
